Then you supposed not to say:

Rather this is how you should put it:

"All humans are brothers no matter the religion because we are all from Adam"

That's exactly why we aren't BROTHERS with any other religionists but NEIGHBOURS! smiley
Exactly. So we need to understand that it is religion, race, class etc that have become barrier between us.

With understanding we will learn to love one another.
Christianity EtcRe: Eid-el Kabir- What Are We Celebrating? by Myer(op): 9:08am On Jun 29, 2023
MaxInDHouse:
Exactly!

Your neighbour is anyone you see no matter where he or she comes from so as human we must love people anywhere we see them and think of their good but brother is the person with whom we share the same line of thought! John 17:22

So a Muslim who doesn't believe that Jesus is Christ son of the living God can't be a brother to a Christian, they're both neighbours that means the Christian must love the Muslim just as he wish to be loved as taught by Christ Jesus! Matthew 7:12
The only thing that should differentiate a follower of Christ or "Christian" from others is the way of life, living in love- bearing the fruit and gifts of the Spirit and passion for God's Kingdom.

We are all brothers through Father Adam and Abraham. Do you still not get this?

Kobojunkie:
The simply answer to the question is that you should do to others as you would like for them to do to you. It is completely different from any of that described in your OP where you attempt to cast the God of Abraham as being the same entity as the Allah of the Muslims.. undecided
Unless you realise Jesus Christ did not establish a religion, you will not get it.

Judaism, Christianity and Islam are simply the names people/leaders named their doctrine made out of their own encounter.

Which is why within Christianity there are mini-religions we call denominations.

Jesus came to show us the Way, the Truth and the Life of God through Faith, Love and Obedience.

MaxInDHouse:
When your beliefs contradicts that of the other person next to you both of you aren't brothers but neighbours even if such a person is your blood relation as long as your beliefs contradicts each other you're not brothers but neighbours! ~ Jesus of Nazareth {Matthew 12:46-50}

Where most people got it wrong is the love we must have towards our neighbours {Matthew 22-39} which is different from the love we must have towards our brothers in faith! John 13:34-35

According to Jesus of Nazareth the rules of our religion may differ from that of another faith so we must consider such a person as well meaning neighbour who is ignorant of the rules of our own faith and love him the same way we would want to be loved but when it comes to the person having the same religious beliefs as we do our love for such a person person must be exactly the same way Jesus loves us (ready to surrender his life for us) when it's necessary! John 15:12-13

So Christians and Muslims can't be brothers in faith they can only be neighbours loving each other as themselves! Mark 12:31 smiley
How did Jesus Christ ask us to Love our neighbours?

Luke.10.29-37 But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?"
Then Jesus answered and said: "A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
Now by chance a certain priest came down that road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
Likewise a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked, and passed by on the other side.

But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion.
So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, "Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I come again, I will repay you.'

So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?"
And he said, "He who showed mercy on him." Then Jesus said to him, "Go and do likewise."
Christianity EtcEid-el Kabir- What Are We Celebrating? by Myer(op):
Eid-El Kabir to our Muslim friends.
Happy Holidays to us all.

It's always a blessing to be alive to celebrate significant days of the year. It is a testament of God's Goodness and God's Faithfulness and a Charge for us to Do Better, to demonstrate our sincere gratitude and appreciation as our acts of reciprocation.

Yoruba adage says "Eni to ba monu ro, yi o mope da."
Which loosely translates "Who ever has insight will be grateful."

First what are we celebrating?
What is Eid-El Kabir?

It is a Festival in commemoration of the Day God instructed Father Abraham (Ibrahim) to Sacririce his only beloved son- the son he had waited all his life to get. Yet as painful as it was, he obeyed.
God seeing his Faith and Obedience provided a ram in the stead of his son. And an everlasting covenant was sealed.
He became the Father of Many Nations whom we are still celebrating 4000 years after and will continue to celebrate.

What Are The Lessons
1. Abraham was from an idolatrous home. But God called him out and he heard God and left everything behind. He had no clear idea of his destination but he followed.

2. He walked with God and grew to Trust God with every instruction and experience.

3. God Promised to make him the Father of Many Nations and He believed even when it seemed impossible and his wife Sarah was old.

4. Abraham was always watching as he prayed. He recognised his angelic visitations and encounters and quickly invited them for hospitality. These angels assured him of God's Promise.

5. Unfortunately Sarah out of love and frustration tempted Abraham and got him to marry her maidservant Hagar. Who conceived and gave birth to Ishmael (Ismaila). Ishmael would go on to be the progenitor of Islam.

6. At the set time, Sarah too conceived and gave birth to the promised child- Isaac, the progenitor of Christ.

7. Perhaps out of pride and jealousy, Sarah would eventually force Abraham to chase Hagar and her son Ishmael packing. Hagar cried to God in the wilderness and God out of His Mercy and loving-kindness saved her and her child and pronounced a blessing on them.

8. God actually waited years till when Abraham had invested so much in his children, before he instructed Abraham to sacrifice his beloved son.
How painful and costly a sacrifice to demand?
What a Test of Faith!

9. Abraham however still obeyed. And God provided the ram instead. And honoured His sacrifice by establishing an everlasting covenant with him.

10. Both Ishmael and Isaac are sons of Father Abraham. God blessed both of them. Muslims and Christians disagree over which of the sons is the promised child who was offered to be sacrificed.

11. But the moral of the story is simple- Have Faith in God and learn to hear Him for yourself.
Walk with God and Obey His instructions.
God honours our Sacrifices- especially painful sacrifices.
Muslims and Christians should be brothers.
The Quran actually teaches Muslims to learn Godliness from true Christians.

12. Abraham and Sarah were called barren even when they served God, because there was no child to show that they served a living God.
Abraham trusted God for a child but God made him the Father of Nations whom we are still celebrating over 4000 years after. God's Way and God's Time is the Best.

May God help us to have Faith and help our unbelief. May God increase our Faith and Help us Build our Faith in Him through Obedience and Personal Convictions.
May God honour our Sacrifices even beyond our expectations in Jesus name.

Heb.11.6 - But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: What A Man That Earns 100k+ Told Me When I Wanted To Borrow N500 From Him by Myer(m): 6:51am On Jun 27, 2023
FeelGoodAlways:
Times are definitely not nice to Nigerians. The streets are not smiling. People are not happy. You could see from their sad faces.

I am an undergraduate working as a security guard at night to help myself financially.

So due to fuel situation and the economic effects, I have been trekking to and fro the place, because no money and the transport is very expensive now. Today, I didn't feel very strong to trek back to the place due to malaria seriously holding me down. I approached my neighbor who is earning over 100k+ salary, minus side hustling to help me with transport fare to go to work. Guess what? He started by laughing cheapishly. When he paused, he narrated how he trekked back from work on Friday, trekked to and fro work today being Monday and not sure how he'll get back to office tomorrow morning being Tuesday. That the new transport fare has eaten deeper into his small earning that even before middle of the month, the salary had long gone. Last night, the children drank Garri to go to bed and this morning, the children left to school drinking only Pap and he put only N100 Akara for each in their lunch boxes. Sad story. He added that due to the economic impact of fuel subsidy removal, retrenchment letters for 3 of his colleagues in the office are ready to be served by the end of the month, and more to go.

Who will rescue us, we don't know? Sad truth is that the money that will be generated from this subsidy removal will not be put to use to the benefit of the commoners. It's just a plot to generate more money for the elites/thieves.

Could you believe that nobody could borrow me N500 in the whole compound? Incredible.

Well, even when I wasn't feeling strong to trek coupled with all I'm passing through financially, I just had to trek which I did.

I picked up this job because instead of sleeping freely at night and when the rent expires, the landlord would come after me + plus all the bills heaped on me, I could rather spend the nights here reading my books, sleep (even though not as recommended) and still earn some money no matter how small.

Finally, I would say do well to help people when you can. People are going through a lot. Not untill the start falling in the street.

*In mama P. voice* - "God will see us through".

God bless all hard working Nigerians no matter the tough times we face.
Your write-up is very emotional and truly the reality of many Nigerians now.

But I want you to know that God's hand is in everything. Nothing happens that God is not aware.

I'll encourage us all to please endure this temporary suffering. Make the necessary sacrifices you have to this period. Let your hope be where it should really be and where it is truly assured and secured- in the government of Jesus Christ.

You will realise that God Himself becomes your provider when you turn to Christ.
He does not only rprovide money, he provides ALL you need.
Wisdom, Strength, Direction, Food, Help, Health, Peace, Joy, Hope etc that you need. Philippians 4:19

Most times these sufferings help us expose our weaknesses so that we can know what is blocking blessings in our lives. It exposes fake friends so that we know who to be careful with, who to separate from, etc.
It helps us build the Fruit of the Spirit and even Gifts of the Spirit.
It is also the time some people with receive ideas that will change their lives for ever.

2Cor.4.16-18 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,
while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

As the topic suggests, let's hear it.
Also, colleagues who had office romance with other colleagues, how is it going, how did it end?
Office romance/affair is very rampant in a lot of offices.
I never dated by boss (though I once relished the idea) but I have had office romance- with a single lady and later with a married woman. I wish I could undo ever meddling with a married woman.

Like everything in life- some engage in it and get away with it unscathed (physically). While some engage in it and it ruins their life.

But we all know the Truth. It is wrong, unprofessional and sinful. It spreads.

I have been delivered from it but this same married woman has simply ported to another guy in the same office.
As much as I hated her for it then, I have come to realise she really is just looking for happiness, to fill the void her husband seems not to fill. Also seems to justify her action because her husband is also keeping side chics as she claimed.

She is a victim of her beauty and has become an agent and vessel for the Jezebel spirit. It's quite deep.

I have tried to preach to her. But words fall on deaf ears. I have simply resolved to praying for her and her household. All she needs is a personal encounter with Christ. The thought of exposing her to her husband once crossed my heart but I have also resolved to let God deal with it the way He deems best.

I pray we all come to understand the power of sin and especially sexual immorality. It is simply the reason why some are stagnant in life as they expose themselves to various unclean spirits and curses.

Christianity EtcRe: What The Bible Says About Marriage by Myer(m): 3:34pm On Jun 25, 2023
Jokanem:
What Does the Bible Say About Marriage?

After creating the first man and woman, God brought them together in marriage. He instituted marriage as a special bond between a man and a woman as a foundation for the family unit.—Genesis 1:27, 28; 2:18.

God wants married couples to be happy. (Proverbs 5:18) In the Bible, he provides standards for marriage as well as principles that can help a marriage succeed.

What are God’s standards for marriage?
From the beginning, God created marriage to be a union of one man and one woman. (Genesis 2:24) God does not approve of polygamy, homosexual acts, or couples living together without marriage. (1 Corinthians 6:9; 1 Thessalonians 4:3) Jesus taught his followers to adhere to God’s original standard for marriage.—Mark 10:6-8.

In God’s eyes, marriage creates a permanent bond. When a man and a woman get married, they promise to be loyal to each other and to stay together for as long as they are both alive. God expects them to keep that promise.—Mark 10:9.

What about separation and divorce?

There may be times when a husband and wife must be apart from each other, such as when one mate needs to travel to care for a family emergency. But the Bible discourages separation resulting from marital problems. Instead, it urges couples in such a situation to work toward reconciliation.—1 Corinthians 7:10.

Adultery is the only Scriptural grounds for divorce. (Matthew 19:9) Hence, if a husband and wife decide to separate or to divorce for any reason other than adultery, neither partner is Scripturally free to date someone else or to remarry.—Matthew 5:32; 1 Corinthians 7:11.

Does a marriage need to be registered legally to be approved by God?

God expects Christians to obey secular laws regarding marriage. (Titus 3:1) When it is possible for a couple to register their marriage legally, their doing so shows respect for secular authorities and for God’s standard that marriage is a lasting commitment. a

What roles and responsibilities does the Bible assign to husbands and wives?

Shared responsibilities. Husbands and wives should treat each other with love and respect. (Ephesians 5:33) They should care for each other’s sexual needs in a loving way and avoid all forms of unfaithfulness. (1 Corinthians 7:3; Hebrews 13:4) If they have children, husbands and wives share the responsibility of raising them.—Proverbs 6:20

The Bible does not discuss in detail how married couples should share secular work and household chores. They can decide together what will work best for their family.

A husband’s role.

The Bible says that “a husband is head of his wife.” (Ephesians 5:23) He is the head in the sense that he should guide his family and make decisions that will benefit his wife and children.

He should strive to ensure that their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are cared for. (1 Timothy 5:cool He shows that he values his wife’s qualities and capabilities by working closely with her and by carefully considering her opinion and feelings when making decisions. (Proverbs 31:11, 28) The Bible says that a husband ought to care for his responsibilities in a loving way.—Colossians 3:19.

A wife’s role.

The Bible says that a “wife should have deep respect for her husband.” (Ephesians 5:33) God is pleased when a wife respects the role that he assigned to her husband.

Her role is to assist her husband, helping him to make good decisions and supporting his headship. (Genesis 2:18) The Bible speaks highly of a wife who fulfills her important role in marriage.—Proverbs 31:10.

Does God require married couples today to have children?

No. In the past, God commanded some of his worshippers to have children. (Genesis 1:28; 9:1) But Christians are not bound by that instruction. Jesus never commanded his followers to have children. Neither did any of his early disciples say that married couples must have children. Couples can decide for themselves whether they will raise a family.

How can the Bible help your marriage?

The Bible contains principles that can help couples get their marriage off to a good start. Bible principles can also help couples to avoid or overcome difficulties.

Bible principles can help a married couple to . . .

show true love.—1 Corinthians 13:4-7; Colossians 3:14.

deal with differences.—1 Corinthians 10:24.

be good listeners.—James 1:19.

show respect.—Romans 12:10.

be forgiving.—1 Peter 4:8.

be loyal.—Mark 10:9.

be patient.—Ephesians 4:2, 3.

work as a team.—Ecclesiastes 4:9.

strengthen their commitment.—Song of Solomon 8:7.

Regarding the Bible’s view of customary or tribal marriages, see The Watchtower of October 15, 2006, page 21, paragraph 12.

Bible verses about marriage
Proverbs 18:22: “The one who finds a good wife has found something good.”

Meaning: The Bible speaks positively about marriage.

Malachi 2:15: “Do not deal treacherously with the wife of your youth.”

Meaning: God wants husbands and wives to be faithful to each other and to treat each other respectfully, even after many years of marriage.

Mark 10:9: “What God has yoked together, let no man put apart.”

Meaning: God intended for marriage to be a permanent bond of companionship.

Hebrews 13:4: “Let marriage be honorable among all.”

Meaning: Couples should place a high value on their marriage and work hard to protect it.

1 Corinthians 7:28: “Those who [marry] will have tribulation in their flesh.”

Meaning: No marriage is perfect; couples need to work together to overcome challenges.

If you're not old enough to marry, know that it is a blessing and a covering for you to protect you from the many jezebels out there.

If you're old enough to marry, then you simply need to build your confidence.

klimkid:
My girlfriend and I have been dating for 3 years now and it's about time we start planning on getting married.

One thing I no for sure is that she loves me and I do love her too. Recently, she told me that her mom went to some churches and they told her it won't work, about 3 pastors. But my girlfriend told her friend to tell her pastor to pray about it.

So he prayed about it and he gave us feedback after 3 days and he said the marriage will work, he said I will give my girlfriend peace, take care of her and make her happy.

There's a woman that prays for me here in Lagos, she said there is nothing wrong with both of us. I also called my Rev. Father and he said that nobody has the right to say the person is for this person or the marriage won't work.

He said marriage is a decision both of us will take and pray about it.

He said hence we love ourselves so much, should leave it for God and continue with our relationship.

Guys, have you experienced this before? What do you think? I am confused.
First, it's a blessing and I am happy for you that you find peace with your lady friend.

When it comes to prophecy, it is a very sensitive gift and ministry.
Sound pastors will tell you not to seek prophecies especially from people you're not spiritually under.
Even those you are under may mislead you, how much more those you're not under.

Now concerning the visions the Prophets saw, they may both have seen skme thing but they only saw in part, which is why prophecy is a delicate gift. But we are advised not to despise prophecy but test all spirits and hold on to what's true. 1 Thes 5:20

More important than what anyone prophesies is that you should know that marriage is a very sensitive institution and a new level of glory for both of you.
So you both must be spiritually and other wise ready for it. And I mean in Christ.

Because it comes with a lot of spiritual baggages- you inherit both the blessings and battles of both your families.

If there's is any thing you must do, be sure both of you are born again. By this I mean that Jesus Christ is your LORD and Saviour.
You're not Christians because you were born into Christian homes but that you have both submitted to the Word of God and both have personal relationship with the Holy Spirit and you serve God in one capacity or another in His Kingdom.

God can cancel any evil prophecies once He knows you love Him and love one another. Because Love covers multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8

Christianity EtcThe Sutlety Of Self-righteousness: Nigerian Election As Case Study by Myer(op): 6:26am On Jun 25, 2023
The worst thing to experience is self righteousness.
When you are so sure you are right when you are unknowingly wrong. Judges 17:6

Peter Obi's situation is a clear case of the plight of every human being.

We are all driven my our idea of what is right.
But the question ultimately becomes, "How are we sure our own idea of right is what is right?"
May we not be victims of costly assumptions.

Peter Obi Vs Tinubu Vs Atiku's ongoing case hits home even more interestingly because it pitches three different personalities- each one of them presenting their idea of right before the judge with us all as the witnesses.

Is this not just a similitude of how it will be on judgment day?

On the surface it seems Peter Obi is the most righteous of all the 3.
While Tinubu seems as the most unrighteous.
And Atiku is simply in-between the extremes.

The seemingly unrighteous Tinubu seems to have won the election.
The seemingly righteous Obi, and seemingly obvious people's choice seems to have lost the election.

This is very instructive and curious.

Judging by Tinubu's stellar performance in his first few weeks in the office of the President and the endorsement and support of the citizenry- both high and low, and the foreign powers, it would seem like Tinubu is God's chosen one.

A reality only blinded from a disobedient demographic ironically named "obidients".
Although a sizeable initially misguided obidients who have been awed my the undeniable feats of the Tinubu-led government have now converted from obidients to truly become obedients.
A decision and choice that has earned them various attacks and unprintable names from the obiidient camp.

What then should we conclude in this?

I say the ball is in the court, the expert lawyers defending their cases.
And ultimately, let the Judge rule wisely and justly.

God bless Nigeria and all who bless her.
God bless Nigerians, especially well-meaning Nigerians.
God bless Africa and all who bless her.

God help us all.

It's a pre assumed as information.
Guess the Fayoses all have the same problem.
Peter Obi obviously knows the influence he wields.
He should make statements out of assumptions but confirmed facts.

The question you should ask really is, Does he do this intentionally or unintentionally?

Let's discuss as a family, those mistakes you made which you later regret and you wouldn't want your children to make.

Mine was going to the university without learning a skill and solely hoping to land a good paying job with the certificate after school. When "Nigeria" dawned on me, I realized I made a mistake by not fortifying myself with skills while going to school.

My children will not make such a mistake. If God approves, they will go into sports and entertainment from tender age.

Let's learn from each other.
Not having a relationship with the Holy Spirit early to lead and guide me through life.

Very correct. Friends can be of positive help like assisting u in getting a job opening, same way friends can teach u how to spoke or how to do runs as a lady, but expect more of negative influence than positive cos a typical Nigerian will lead you to do things that would lower ur chances of succeeding in life than actually making it cos of our competitive nature. A typical black man don't want u to do better than him or her so what's d need of keeping friends. Many friends are just too manipulative n opportunistic and nowadays they don't even hide it anymore
Well said.

It's a blessing not to keep many friends. Many friends means many influences- mostly negative.
But it's not good not to have any friend.

It might help if you gave your age or range.

There's time and season for everything in life;
There's a time you will need to learn to love yourself.
There's a time you will need to learn to love others.

It is when you gain mastery of these that you can learn to love others as you love yourself.

It is important however to first, learn to love God.
God will teach you how to love Him, love yourself and you neighbour.

Every season is a blessing when you understand the season you're in.
Introvert or extrovert should simply be different phases, I believe we are meant to be ambiverts.

Please see God as your first in every thing and truly life starts making sense to you. He created you, no one else can explain you to you better than your Creator/Father.

Know this and be blessed.

One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

good one from Peter Obi team
The worst thing to experience is self righteousness.
When you are so sure you are right when you are unknowingly wrong.

Peter Obi's situation is a clear case of the plight of every human being.

Benfaco:
The love of God for us

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

When Adam sinned, he lost the direct access he initially had with God. (Genesis 3) God decided to send his only begotten son (Jesus) to pay the price for our sins on the cross of calvary because of his love for us. When Christ resurrected, he restored all privileges that we once had and brought redemption to us all. All we need is to believe that he died for our sin and has once again granted us direct access with God. No longer through an intermediary! (Mathew 27:50-53).

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

If our earthly parents care so much for us, how much more our father in heaven! (Luke 11:11-13). God’s love for us is infinite. He has promised to supply all our needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Philipians 4:19).

Prayer of Salvation

Lord Jesus, I accept and acknowledge you as my personal lord and savior. I sincerely ask that you forgive my sins. Come into my life and pour out your spirit on me. By faith, I receive the promise of the father, which is the holy spirit. (John 14:16) I thank you for the price that you paid for me on the cross of calvary. Thank you for my redemption. I pray that your power, grace and favor will abide with me now and forever more. Amen.
I understand you. Hyper Grace is a false doctrine. And that's one of the faulty satanic doctrines that deceived even the very elects and has brought Christianity to mockery in this generation.
I trust God to save as many as are under this bondage and seek perfection.

This is Our Lord and Savior Himself rejecting believers who continue in sin.

Luke.13.26-27 then you will begin to say, "We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.'
But He will say, "I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.'

This is a confirmation by the Word again.
Prov.28.13 - He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.

Then Paul, the Apostle of Grace also by the Inspiration of Christ confirms this.

1Cor.9.27 - But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.

Grace and Mercy multiplied to you in Jesus name. Amen.
Christianity EtcReigning In Glory by Myer(op): 5:03am On Jun 20, 2023
Praise the LORD.
Truly... God is here in our midst.
His name and only His name will be glorified tonight and always... in our lives, in this ministry, in our hearts, in all that concerns us... in heaven and on earth forever and ever. Amen

I am honored to be counted among us tonight... in God's Presence.
So many want this privilege but don't have it.
Some have never experienced it.
Some have lost it.
Some have it but do not value it.
Thank God for His Grace and Mercy that are new every morning.
If you can pray in the holyghost... please appreciate this God!

I was an atheist so I understand this.
I backslided so this was my story.
For a very long time, this was me.
Please value the Presence of God. It is all around us. Any where we Hallow His Name... He is present.
Where 2 or 3 are gathered in the name of Jesus... He is here.
Where there is Love, He is here.
Father we Hallow Your Name.
Your Kingdom Come
Your Will Be Done On Earth As It Is Heaven. Amen

I want to start by thanking God for Everything.
The topic before us tonight is Reigning in Glory

Is anyone qualified to take a topic as powerful as this?
I am least qualified.
And this is what qualifies me.
Because I have no choice but to depend on the Holy Spirit to Help me.

To Trust God to have mercy on us all and make His Abundant Love tangible in our midst and our hearts tonight and beyond.

To have Faith and Rest in the Finished Works of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in whom we and all things Consist.

Let us begin by defining the component words.
Reign (verb):
1. To exercise sovereign power, to rule as a monarch/king.
2. To be the winner of the most recent iteration of a competition.
3. To be a dominant quality of a place or situation; to prevail, predominate, rule.

Glory:
• Great beauty and splendor.
• Honour, admiration, or distinction, accorded by common consent to a person or thing; high reputation; renown.
• That quality in a person or thing which secures general praise or honour.
• Worship or praise

These are the sensual definitions of these words. But they help us to have an idea of the spiritual.
First let's establish that reigning in Glory is talking about Kingdom.
It is where there is a kingdom that there can be reigning.
Permit me to therefore define kingdom.

Kingdom
• A realm having a king and/or queen as its actual or nominal sovereign.
• A realm, region, or conceptual space where something is dominant.

I choose not to select only one definition because each one has a dimension it communicates... and I trust the Holysoirit to interprete beyond what the dictionary can convey into our hearts and understanding in Jesus name. Amen.

Our anchor verse is taken from Romans 5:17
For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ! (NIV)

I want us to also bear in mind our Lord's Prayer.
I believe we can all recite the Lord's Prayer.
But just to fulfill all righteousness,

Matt.6.9-13
In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

First thing I want us to understand is the simplicity of the gospel.

1Cor.1.27-29 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;
And the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are,
That no flesh should glory in His presence.

Everything that pertains to our salvation.
Almost all of us have heard it.

2Pet.1.2-4 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,
as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,
by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

When I say salvation here, I mean;
Repentance
Conversion
Santification
Glorification

Salvation is an ongoing process... it is a lifetime journey.
We will always need salvation.
From sin, demons, sicknesses, temptations, trials, tribulations, enemies  death, self, etc.
And salvation from hell.

All we need is the True Knowledge of God and Jesus Christ
Who we are and our position/purpose in the Kingdom of God,
And of course our Enemy, Satan.

We first of all need to know that we are lost, helpless, hopeless and dead with out Christ.
Does anyone disagree with this?

Until we realise this, we are not yet ready for the kingdom of God.
The Gospel can only profit us little.

It is when we know that life outside Christ is death and crises, that's when we can understand that life is not some where we can afford to be carnal or casual.
Life is a battle field.

We are so tied and used to the Kingdom of Earth.
When we are created for the Kingdom of Heaven.
Some of us have never accessed the Kingdom of Heaven.
Some of us don't even understand what it means.

John the Baptist was sent to prepare the way for the Kingdom of Heaven.
Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, came to bring the Kingdom of Heaven.

Jesus Christ speaking of the Passion and Desperation need for the Kingdom of God said this;
Matt.11.12 - And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.

What is the kingdom of Heaven?
Rom.14.17 - for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Luke.17.20-21 Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, "The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, "See here!' or "See there!' For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you."

Oluwamayowa: How can we have access into this Kingdom of Heaven?

We already know the answer.
But do we understand it?

John.3.3 - Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

John.3.4-5 Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?"

Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

How Do We Reign In This Kingdom?
John.3.7 - Do not marvel that I said to you, "You must be born again.'

John.3.8 - The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit."

This is the conclusion.
Heb.6.1-3 Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
And this we will do if God permits.

We have to grow in the adequate knowledge of the Foundations.

Foundational/Elementary Principles
1. Repentance from dead works
2. Faith toward God
3. Doctrine of Baptisms.
4. Laying on of hands
5. Resurrection of the dead
6. Eternal judgment.

Then we can walk in Perfection.
Perfection is where we reign.

Thank you all for your time.
And I pray that God who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Chrst.. Amen
