The board must have reviewed his response time to events on the pitch, his health, erratic selection & substitutions, etc & felt it was the best time for him to step down. If Mourinho is available & willing to build on Sir Alex's achievement for real, then I see no better available replacement, altho I'ld have preferred the more cool-headed Guardiola but Mourinho can build a legacy as well

Personally, I am not hating on SAF. I really admire the records he has set and the trophies won. The bone of contention here is the albeit dubious manner of the way matches were won enroute to winning the trophies with the assistance of the referees. Say whatever you like, but this fact will not go away, no matter how much you wish it. For me, the major problem wey I see this retirement causing is that when Chelsea or Man City win trophies next season and manyoo ends the season trophyless and out of the top four, manyoo fans will have a ready-made excuse that it is because SAF retired. We all know that net spend does not give the true picture, and it will always favour United because we churn out academy product in numbers every year and the sale of Ronaldo skewed that table in favour of United, if you remove that united will be right behind city and chelsea. And if you look at that your table it stopped at 2011, if you add 2012(£52,900) and 2013(£48,000) to that table, our players purchsed will be £318,100 over a period of 7 yrs which average about £45,000 per season.I don't think that is bad at all, it is a very competitive figure in the transfer market.

Now, my point is that those players we sold were not because we had to sell them, they were surplus to requirement and we've not had need for a player without getting one. Also only chelsea and city have spent more than united of which you can understand their case(they are just building a team). So if their is any perceived weakness in the team, it was because fergie think otherwise and not because their was no fund.

As much as I don't like the Glazers, I don't think they have in any way held back SAF from spending on any player he feels like getting. Apart from the season we sold ronaldo, united has been one of the highest spender in the EPL. So if we are lacking in any dept it is due to fergie's making.

I use to encounter the same challenge, it is usually due to calcium or phosphorus deficiency. I'll advice you change your feed or you add calcium or phosphorus supplement(usually from when the chicks are day old). You can try a supplement called asbona

I tend to agree with you on this but I think the error he made in tactic is usually compensated for by his conservative approach to away games in europe especially against top teams.
On another note, I think "tactical change" is overrated, for instance spurs changes against city worked out and people started hailing AVB as one tactical genious , the same changes he made has failed in some other matches.
