My SE squad for SA 2010: GK: 1. Enyeama 2. Aiyenugba 3. Vanzekin DF: 1. Echiejile (Taiwo) 2. Shittu (Chukwudi- U17 Captain, Apam) 3. Adeleye (Yobo) 4. Odiah (Adefemi- U21) MF: 1. Ayila (Okonkwo- U17) 2. Mikel (Olofinjana) 3. Rabiu Ibrahim (Haruna Lukman) 4. Odemwingie (Nsofor) 5. Ogbuke-Obasi (Osanga) OFF: 1. Martins (Yakubu, IK Uche, Eneramo, Sani Emmanuel) Team A: Enyeama Odiah Adeleye Shittu Echiejile Mikel Ayila Obasi Odemwingie Rabiu Martins Team A (4-5-1) will be useful against argentina cos of their offensive style of play. SE will be playing more of counter-attack 'n wing play. Rabiu can win free kicks in d centre or create openings for thru passes to martins, Osaze and Ogbuke or direct shots at goal. Note that i am playing 2 ppl in the number 4 position (Mikel 'n Ayila). This will make d defence more compact (making it more difficult for d Argies to just run at our back four everytime they're on d attack). The only pitfall be say Martins no tall , so he may not be able to contest much of aerial balls (crossings). Hence crosses will be swung in low while Osaze 'n Obasi will make incursions into d goal area from d flanks to make set pieces or take direct strikes at goal.Formation may change to 4-4-2 in the course of the match (prob 2nd half), depending on the offense level of Argentina, but this formation will be my approach to stubborn opponents like Argentina. **NB: , where players in brackets= substitutes |
What Akala did (?renovation) at Adeoyo Maternity hospital speaks loud and clear against him that this one is a huge joke. He 'spent' billions in Adeoyo only to paint the blocks, fit aluminium windows, change few beds 'n mattresses, and buy gadgets (e.g. Air conditioners and ceiling fans) that functioned last on the day the crappy project was declared open for public use. Interested NLers can go there and see the remains of Akala's much publicized Adeoyo renovation project in just less than 2 years. Akala has no taste, no standards and no be im fault he's a bloody illiterate. That's why most of d items bought by d 'contractor' who renovated adeoyo were fake and sub-standard. From fake Shinco airconditioners (which one be shinco? We know of samsung, panasonic, LG, Newclime, Akira. Na only Akala fit accept Shinco from contractor, I trust Fashola will not. Fashola will accept only the best) to terribly looking locally made delivery couches in the labour room. No functioning suction machine (midwife had to suction d newborn's airway by sucking thru a small hose with her own mouth! Omo, I no fit cry). U cannot do a single laboratory investigation in adeoyo (not even simple microscopy!) The hospital just be like Museum , and someone says he has renovated Adeoyo with those billions? All these give me a sneaking hunch that Mr Akala and his Commisioner for health may not know what it entails to renovate a hospital. Facility and equipment should take priority apart from painting and deceiving the public. I'm certain over half of this 4.6bn will go unaccounted for. God dey. |
Iyineda:My guy, ur rating of Ogbuke shows u don't understand d game of football. Otherwise, u don't need Sir Fergie to come tell u Obasi was one of the few who made sense in d match. The point is obasi had no well-positioned striker to link with. Did u see d thru pass he gave nsofor? Did u see the sense behind it, or u think he just threw d pass waitng on chance? Did u see d set pieces he played with Mikel (oloshi)? If not because Obi wasn't resourceful enuff. Anyway, i don't blame u much. When very few good players are put in d midst of a bunch of erratic fballers, some ppl would always hav difficulty identifying the valuable ones . , btw, given the chance, Obasi could be an awesome striker. Players i would rate high in d Benin match: 1. Danny Shittu (notice how many goal bound shots he blocked with his own body? Now, dat's a defender) 2. Yusuf 3. Apam 4. Echiejile 5. Obasi 6. Osaze 7. Yakubu These 'n others could hav done better, though. |
By the way, i heard Chinedu Ogbuke-Obasi was included in the squad at last. Somebody pls tell me dis is true! That chap is too much. ![]() |
No doubt, nigeria has got quality players. Whether we win this competition or not will however depend a lot on the players' personal level of motivation, our coaching crew's shrewdness, match officiating factors and luck. Meanwhile, i shall be able to comment on the team's chances only after watching d Egypt match today. I predict nigeria wins 3-1 (From experience, 9ja must concede sha ) |
kekere09:Nice one, kekere. NLers, so much for this talk about Yar' Adua being mad. If he were mad, it woulda been better. Rumour has it that d Commander-in-chief is brain-dead. ![]() A brain-dead man is someone who cannot breathe on his own without a mechanical ventilator (i.e. life support or heart-lung machine) due to loss of vital brainstem reflexes (which includes spontaneous respiration) as a result of irreversible and extensive damage to brain tissue. All brain function is lost (patient loses awareness or consciousness, sth called a vegetative state, no voluntary movement, patient cannot see nothing although eyes may remain open etc). The moment such a person is off d ventilator, he cannot breathe spontaneously, so other body tissues will not have oxygen to utilize and CO2 accummulates. Patient dies 'officially' within minutes. In short, technically speaking, being brain-dead is synonymous with DEAD. NLers take note. This is Yar' Adua's supposed state. I guess Turai and her cohorts are in denial. Keeping a brain dead chap on life support is just like keeping him in a glorified morgue. Let them disconnect the 'shege' jor. The worst has happened. |

Quote from: nas 00 on Today at 09:44:47 AM We need 36 Fasholas in 9ja to make rapid progress. That sounds rather far fetched Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked We need one Leader @ the highest echelon who can accurately capture the vision for 9ja's greatness and inculcate it into others. Once the vision is well documented, anyone [whether leader or led] can read it, take personal ownership and run with it. ^^ In case u never thought of it, things may not work in 9ja that way (Federalism) However, if we have 36 governors that perform like Fashola, even an slowpoke can sit on the top echelon and u'll think he's sane until u move closer, because the 'system' will be efficient Who cares about federalism, anyway. So far 'things are working' in the country, we're home and dry. ![]() |
Na wa o! Some people just dey hala washing machine as if there will be power supply to operate it (for where PHCN dey), abi washing macine wey dey use battery dey market? I know say una next excuse go be generator (for where queue dey long like river niger to get diesel or petrol). ![]() All because these women no wan use the hand wen God give them wash clothes ![]() I may not stress my wife in making her wash my clothes all the time. However, any woman that gives the slightest indication of unwillingness to wash my clothes shall be fired. Amen. , and no shit, I can wash my wife's clothes. When i no dey crase ![]() |
We need 36 Fasholas in 9ja to make rapid progress. That man be d only governor wey don show say im no go skool for nothin and dat he knows what leadership is all about. All the other governors don crase, that's why 9ja remains in a merry-go-round of poverty and corruption. He deserves the award 10 times over. Gba bee! |
ssumpta:@ssumpta: Well, sorry to say, that isn't wat attracts me to ladies. In short, the way I see it is this: Ugly monsters covering up by wearing beautiful masks to hook a correct guy. Thus, whenever I see chics wearing all sort of make-up, I try to imagine them without the weave-on, the artificial nails, the paintings all over the body, d fake accent, d fake carriage, d fake gait e.t.c. and in most cases, the result I get is UGLY. On the other hand, even tho' u may not know it, I personally appreciate and respect ladies like u, who dare to be natural (ugly or not). Yes, a lot of men may not be attracted to you, but u are also much less likely to attract the wrong man. I hope this makes sense to u. ![]() except, of course, u're dirty by nature. Then, dont complain to me ![]() |
The logic in amodu's selection is extremely hard to understand. A sensible Coach selects at least 2 players for every position, but Mr Amodu own na die! ![]() 1. Who substitutes who in defence? This selection is quite confusing 2. There's obviously no replacement for Mikel if he gets injured (him go cum dey manage Ayila or Kalu abi )3. Why not include options like d King Osanga lad to create wing play? Osanga has average skill 'n makes nice crosses into the goal area. I see no correct wingers in that crazy lineup. We need to explore all avenues if we must win competitions. Going by this lineup, there shall be minimal wing play at d CAN, and this may spell disaster for Mr Amodu. 4. I would have also suggested the following inclusions: Rabiu Ibrahim (For mikel) and Dele Adeleye (for Nwaneri in central defence). 5. Btw, i still consider papillo useful in terms of discipline, experience and a physcic boost to the younger players in d squad. (d guy na player coach na! ) |
The moment i observe a 9ja lady (guys too) faking a 'Behind' accent, it gives me a hint dat a lot of things about them would be fake. Some of them are prostitutes or fraudsters who learnt to speak in english or american accent to catch unsuspecting victims. For instance, ladies that wear their natural hair or nails nowadays are scarce in 9ja (u can look around u to confirm). It's either one attachment or d other etc I don tire for all these fake 'chics' sef |
Simple and lovely Jersey this is ![]() If d jersey too 'tite', i sabi nigerians, sooner or later (when d deed is done) we go dey say na because jersey too fine the boyz no dey concentrate. ![]() At least, worwor jersey leaves only d round leather to concentrate on, 'n what's more, the WC isn't a fashion parade (i.e. no be by jersey oh!) I remember teams like USA wey dey wear nice jerseys in times past, na dem dey quick go home pass. I hope 9ja wins the WC come next year. 9ja we hail thee! |
@Poster: It best when u're a clean guy. Let nobody run u down! I personally can't stand a dirty (or disorganised) environment for long. Sometimes i feel body ache or headache when my house is in disarray. I can't read in a dirty room. On the other hand, i feel well in a neat environment (even when i'm sick). I can think more clearly, and i'm happy even if i'm broke. My friends, guys and ladies alike, have said things like: "u're a clean guy", "are u sure dis isn't OCD?", "I love this place (mostly ladies)", "see enjoyment", "i don't think we'll make good roommates" etc etc , However, i have this to say: U could patiently explain to d lady u love how dirty environs turn u off whilst acknowledging the fact that that is not to say she's dirty (even if she is). If she loves u, she'd be willing to adjust and this u can both achieve over time. If she however proves to be incorrigible, then i rest my case ![]() Nothing do u sha ![]() |

I bow for 9ja armed robbers o! Seems they've got a Research & Development Department, coming up with ingenious and cost-efficient ways of pulling off their tricks on unsuspecting ppl. The next 'robbing technique' to be unleashed will be much improved (at less cost), maybe shit-on-windscreen ![]() |

If what i'm hearing is true, 'Obagoal' should go learn from Baba Yekini's experience because by the time he runs down completely, im own go worse pass vulcanizer or fuji musician. I hope he learnt some trade, like Yekini, b4 venturing into footie. ![]() |
Which kain fireworks? ![]() We dey craze 4 9ja sef. The typical 9ja man go don dey try oh, im go come display im ignorance 'n stupidity take spoil show 4 imself. I think that's the case here, if indeed lights were 'briefly' put out IN A STADIUM just 4 fireworks. Anyways, my inner mind tells me the shit must have resulted from a PHCN fckup or say fuel finish for dem run-down generator. I suspect this fireworks story is a lame attempt(excuse) to explain the fckup in a milder way. Abi na so dem dey display fireworks for UCL Finals? ![]() Na 9ja craze pass. My people I hail o! |
So much for the good girl, bad guy talk. ![]() Again, the truth is: "There's someone for everyone" (believe it or not). Meeting that 'someone' is a matter of time 'n chance. Bode George bawo? Na so e suppose be! God punish am join! ![]() Those are the sort of people that are respected in 9ja- Men of no integrity, blatant liars, looters, armed robbers in high places, people whose rightful place is the gaol. Nice move from the Judiciary. We sincerely hope more will follow pretty soon. May God nab dem 1 by 1, I go like see some other criminals dey wear kirikiri boxers and the 'ewu pempe' just like dem torture innocent nigerians in the past while they fed fat on 9ja's resources. ![]() The likes of Fela Anikulapo, Dr. Beko Ransome-Kuti, Chief Gani Fawehinmi, Dr. Orlando Owoh, Kenule Saro-wiwa amongst others served term in similar facilities without stealing a dyme from public purse. They were all subjected to inhuman conditions for daring to speak the truth. These were men, not pieces of shit like Bode George and many other executhieves in public offices who lack honour. ![]() |
The truth is: HIV/ AIDS infection is real and is commoner in Nigeria than we all think. I often predict that unless we watch it, HIV may soon be at par with Malaria in 9ja. I'm damn too certain this bizzare baby-trading business would aid further spread of the deadly virus. Do d stupid men 'n whores involved ever think of this? ![]() Poverty seems to cloud people's ability to think straight, especially in 9ja Wake up, my people!! Somebody pls tell 'em ![]() |
^^^ Tell 'em proproman BIKINI:It's hard trying to explain, yet unfortunate Bikini has got this all wrong. May God (The One who knows), judge u based on dat erroneous belief of urs (Amen). Maybe then, u'll see better what nigerian doctors are passing through. (cos I don't understand why ppl are so quick to pass judgement on ppl or issues they know li'l about) @Topic: Very true. , and surgeon 'n his team would be sweating like goats while operating. Could be worse than torture at Alagbon. Things like this only happen in nigeria. It is NOT ACCEPTABLE anywhere in the world that an operating theatre be without power supply, filtered air conditioning and basic life support equipment amongst others. Unfortunately, this is what we see. ![]() Yet, some nigerians think docs are not doing enuff. Maybe those nigerians should come and show us how to do things for few weeks. I'm sure the facts will speak for themselves. ![]() God save nigeria! |
6000 jobs, and so bloody what? ![]() No doubt, 'I dey kampe' looted public funds and is a shameless old farmer. But my main problem here is: WHAT THE HELL IS OBASANJO FEELING LIKE? ![]() The last census put nigeria's population at a little above 140,000,000. The same census showed our country has a youthful population (which means most nigerians fall within the working class). Most (well over half) of these youth are not gainfully employed, let alone those within the elderly age bracket (pension for retirees sef na film trick in most quarters of 9ja). Now, even if he employs 6,000 people to work on his gaddem 'animal farm', have we considered what this translates to, juxtaposing it with the millions of other nigerians that remain unemployed? INSIGNIFICANT is the answer we get! A drop in the ocean! So, for Obasanjo mind, he is creating jobs and tackling unemployment (which is indeed a major problem staring nigeria in the face) abi?. What about the millions left without jobs? Something he could have done on a far larger scale when he was in power, but he didn't. What an irony! What folly! ![]() Judging by prevailing trends in nigeria , employing 6000, whether over 30 yrs or at one time IS STILL STATISTICALLY INSIGNIFICANT. (I wish i had d exact figures of nigerians within the working class that are not employed to emphasize this beyond doubt). SO, WHAT ARE WE JUBILATING ABOUT HERE? WHICH KAIN KUDOS TO OBASANJO? DOES IT REALLY BEHOVE OBASANJO TO OPEN HIS STINKING MOUTH AND TALK THIS CRAPPY SHIT? I guess obasanjo meant to say im don get 6000 maga wen dey slave away to increase his wealth, and maybe to their own detriment. ![]() My submission: Unemployment is a monster nigeria MUST subdue, and the sooner the better for us. Obasanjo has done nothing statistically significant to create jobs for nigerians, both while he was in power and till date. The current Yara dull government seems to have no clue whatsoever to solving the problem still. We have no right to rejoice, but to keep working hard until the problem of mass unemployment is solved in nigeria. This, fortunately or unfortunately (depending on d way u look at it) starts with d Government. PEACE. |
No doubt, Amodu should be sacked. The guy no dey make sense at all. E com be like say all im past achievements na fluke. ![]() , but let me sound a note of warning: Our Yoruba elders say "a child that is well-bred requires only half a statement, he figures out the intended meaning on his own" The mentality of nigerian footballers also has to be worked upon. They should realise they are not doing our dear country a favour by donning her colours, rather it's a rare opportunity- a call to serve nigeria in their own capacity, however little. As such, they should play with good composure and defend our glory 'n honour with d last drop of their blood everytime they are called upon. This should always be the team spirit! The truth is that nigerian players are individually good, but the lack of the sort of motivation i speak of here is what is gradually dragging SE, FE, GE et al into the mud. Unfortunately, what we see these days in nigerian football is 'big-boyism' (e.g, which is killing Mikel), 'showmanship' (which killed Haruna), lack of co-ordination (baa set pieces) amongst other fk-ups like their embarrasing lackadaisical attitude, worse after scoring goals (we all know what this has costed us lately). In all, what we need to make d change we all want is not only a coach WEY GET SENSE, but also boys dat are well motivated, disciplined in all its sense and of course, BOYS WEY GET SENSE AND DEM DEY USE AM RIGHT. I rest my case. |

, so he may not be able to contest much of aerial balls (crossings). Hence crosses will be swung in low while Osaze 'n Obasi will make incursions into d goal area from d flanks to make set pieces or take direct strikes at goal.
