The USA is obviously attempting to use the BH attacks as a pretext to subtly gain access to our national wealth, mainly mineral resources and agriculture.

My main fear for nigeria is that GEJ's sense of judgement cannot be trusted. He is a novice and weakling. He has proven that time and again.
May God give GEJ the foresight, wisdom and courage to say no to this diabolic proposal and defend the sovereignity of his country.

If the US REALLY wants to aid nigeria tackle BH, we do not need their drones. They could offer technical assistance by freely training/ update delegates from the nigerian military intelligence on counter-terrorism tactics, and this should be done on american soil.
That way, we'll know the US is concerned and willing to contribute to curbing BH activities in Nigeria without any strings attached.
Think about these: Why would the US be spending fortunes expediting drone attacks in nigeria? Did we request their assistance? Is nigeria at war with the US?

With the benefit of hindsight, insight and foresight, I believe it is not ideal when issues like comparative height become the DECIDING FACTOR in relationships. If you really know what you want in your partner, once you have that gold, never throw it away in search for 'height'. Seeking after vanity and thinking of what people will say about them has led many people into marriages where love turns sour with peace and happiness lost.

This applies to males and females alike. Finding love and hapiness in a relationship ain't no mathematics. There is great gain in being wise. Height should be no barrier.

@Waste management: I think that was the reason Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) was set up. They are gradually cleaning Lag and clearing notorious garbage dump sites. Haven't you also noticed uniformed sweepers cleaning Lagos roads every morning or so?

You can only improve on sth you've already started. If you don't get started, results won't appear by chance.
Don't be unduly paranoid. Tokyo, Sidney, Paris and other major cities of the world also started from somewhere. It is continuous evaluation (and improvement) of their intervention schemes over time that got them to their present global status.

Again, Lagos has started in the right path. I don't believe it is fantasy. It is very possible to transform lagos and Nigeria alike..But first, we need to get ppl like you to believe, so you won't be a clog in the wheel.

From the outset, it had been one of the targets of LASG to transform Lagos into a mega city and there's a time frame to it. In an ideal mega city, motor bike is not an option as a means of public transport. Compare Tokyo, Sidney, New York, Paris, Berlin etc.. Banning okada in some parts of Lag is understandably in line with achieving the laid out goal. Bear in mind the attendant merits of phasing out okada as a means of public transport.

Edo on the other hand must have her own targets too, which I am not really familiar with.

In view of this, I believe each governor is doing what is in their state's best interest, hopefully as a means to a better end. There is always to sides to a story.

We all must remember that for meaningful and lasting change, there must be:
1. An action plan/ blueprint for development
2. Leadership committed to the cause
3. Sacrifice, which in truth is mostly borne by the citizenry (okada riders in this case)
In the near future, Lagos is likely achieve her aims if LASG maintains commitment..
I don't stay in Lagos but I have witnessed, during my visits, the commendable positive changes in traffic law enforcement, environmet and aesthetics. I know there are yet lots of terrible roads needing rehab in lagos. Also, other problems such as power supply still need to be tackled. However, I think Fashola has taken one step in the right direction.

The onus is however on him to employ as much of the okada riders that are employable.

That said, I live in Edo State and the state of roads here is far worse than in Lagos (to say the least). Terrible roads persist even in Benin City.
I realise that a few roads here and there are being rehabilitated though, and maybe because Edo is a larger state, it is more difficult to appreciate work being done when considered as a whole entity.

Most parts of the state do not even have a functional intra-city taxi cab system E.g. Auchi, Igarra, Ibillo, Ekpoma, Sabongida-Ora etc
Only Benin has an intra-city system that conveys passengers from one place to another within it.

So, it is no surprise that Oshiomhole CANNOT ban okada for noow (except maybe on major roads in Benin-City). He was right in that regard.

The long, tortuous, and very steep ascent into Mambilla Plateau from Gashaka in Taraba State will absolutely take your breath away. Infact, first timers are strictly advised to hire a driver familiar with the terrain at Gashaka before embarking on the ascent, because once any vehicle falls into the bottomless gorges, not a single body can be retrieved. Na auto burial be that!

..And for the records, Mambilla plateau is the highest point above sea level in nigeria.

To all who think we are cry-babies at Chelsea FC, I beg to disagree.

Two UCL seasons ago, when ManU eliminated chelsea in the knockout stage. ManU did CFC every harm except for murder. The height of it was when Evra blatantly clipped a goal-bound Ramires down in United's penalty area. Nothing happened. United won, nobody raised an eyebrow.

Just last season in the EPL, Chelsea were 3 legitimate goals up against United. Then, H.Webb single-handedly ensured that ManU got away with a point in that game by deliberately awarding 2 spurious penalty claims, before Hernandez scored a 3rd to draw level.
If you do recall, the 1st penalty was called just for an otherwise innocuous body contact on Evra (who was actually facing the corner line, and not goal-bound). The second penalty was A CLASSIC simulation by Wellbeck, who feigned a foul by deliberately entangling his foot with Ivanovic's and falling just as if Ivanovic had intended to foul him. That was a dive!
The 3rd goal was the only real goal ManU scored, yet they robbed us of our 3 full points. NOBODY COMPLAINED afterwards.

Now, yesterday's broad daylight cheating was one too many. Very obvious again how ManU is favoured at the expense of other hard-fighting teams..Yet, you ManU fans expect reasonable people to keep quiet at such unrepentant show of prejudice by the referee/ FA, innit?

The two most important factors that determine the success of any candidate in an exam like JAMB are:

1. Speed: You must be able to answer preferably ALL questions within the limited time provided (Usually 45mins for 50 questions in my time)
2. Accuracy: While you are working fast to beat time, at the same time, you need a high level of precision (esp if solving mathematics, physics or chemistry calculations)

Based on the afore-mentioned, my thoughts:

1. Except additional time is alloted, the CBT will further reduce the time each student has to solve questions, which is not desirable.
All the seconds wasted in scrolling and shifting view from screen to paper are PRECIOUS.

2. The CBT is a nice idea, but all possible shortcomings in terms of system software, necessary hardware, proper student orientation and the time factor I pointed out (amongst others) should be well adressed before rushing to execute.

3. The DBT is useless, needless and a two-way waste of resources (govt money, candidate's time).

4. I hope the CBT reduces the examination cost.
I know it's the common (bad) habit of our government to want to raise the subsequent cost in the event of such 'innovation'..However, that is the reason we pay tax, and the govt should not expect the candidates to bear the brunt of introducing a long overdue CBT in JAMB.
Infact, the paper-based is more expensive to execute on the long run, compared to the CBT.

So, make JAMB 'park well' and execute this well.
