@Berem. Who counted the money last? You or the Swindlers? So that we can know if it is a trick or Jazz. |
adorable29: Unnatural waves, see how u r taking time to analyse my comments word 4 word!hehehe! Anyways, we both know you are talking out of point! Ur only contribution to ds debate has bn to quote me*feelin special*! Go look 4 smtin to do dude! *tongue out* .Okay. As for my contribution, it is a NO for me. I don't like it personally although some people do.Happy now? BTW, they are natural ![]() |
adorable29: what is this one sayin! In ds days of information, I dnt nid to be a wankerr lik u .....There you go again with the insults. I think it is in your blood to be rude so I will just let this pass. adorable29: .....to know dat 99percent of ds women Ħª√ę plastic boobs!99% of which women? I guess the ones in p.o.r.ns like you said. What a Statistic. What was your sample size? Your library of collections must be a large one. You see, that is what they say about controlling what one sees and listens to so as to control the mind. Look at you now, you have been so obsesed with p.o.r.n that it was the first thing your mind went to during an intelligent debate. All this things have a way of playing out in one's attitude. You shot yourself adorable29: Wether u accept it or not, it is a factor that contributes to our young men of nowadays expectin there wives to have perfect boobs! This sounds a lil bit civil but you still got it wrong.None of the respondents expects such. To prefer something or to allow something are two different things from expecting something.Everyone knows that sagging brea.sts is a natural process which is very dominant in the latter years of a female after child birth. So, no man should expect a perfect bosoms after that. The talk centrals on the augmentation of a sagged one. None of the men is blaming their woman, so, they are not expecting anything. Okay? Go and read the entire thread again from page (0) so you can have a proper understanding. adorable29: Moreover, its not jus abt d op's post, d response was more to wat some commentators were posting whc is also an insult to dear mothers out there includin mine!Sowei ooooo. |
Godsbrown: this is what all of u use to justify ur evil deeds....yes it starts from the heart...but it dosent stop their it shows on the outside...is it not what u process in ur heart that ur life wife show outwardly? No, you are wrong. Infact, it is the other way round most times. Most people are not what they show and say outwardly. There are a lot of pretenders and those that exhibit the "holier than thou" attitude.Although, this might not apply to your pastor, the point you made up there is incorrect. |
engineerd: He should remove pastor W.F Kumuyi's name from that list!!! I have never met any pastor as upright as that man in Nigeria!!!What has this got to do with what Tunde Bakare said. So, if a Pastor is upright,he does not need to feel what the poor are going through? ![]() |
fellis: Why can't you and your fellow defenders accept the fact that not everybody thinks Omotola is a big deal? She is not a big deal but she is one of the best things that has ever happened to Nollywood. If she is not a big deal to you, you won't insult her unnecessarily. fellis: Why are you here killing yourselves to fight for her when she doesn't know you exist? Is it because you are jobless? Is it because you have nothing better to do with your lives? Is it because MTN gave you free megabytes? Is it because you think that I am interested in your opinion? No, it is because your post was senseless and you needed an e-chastening. |
Why is this lady so obsessed with po.rn.o.graphy? ![]() adorable29: I don't blame ds guys 4 saying wat dey say actually! I blame d pornographyhh dey spray to!Aside the fact that this is totally uncalled for, it is rude and insultive as well to the males responding to the OP's question of " would you allow your wife to have a bossom enlargement" adorable29: The women there are mostly plastic from head to toe! So reality has bn replaced by "fiction" in their heads!Nobody is asking you for this. You have even watched po.rn to the extent of analysing how the women in it look. Your post is so filthy. BTW, I hope the first quote is not giving an exact description of what you do? Learn how to talk in a public forum. Moreover, there is more to life than wasting time in analysing p.o.r.n. |
There's a HUGE difference between being curvy and being Fat and i hate when people classify fat people as Curvy . Omotola is a FAT woman and needs to go on a diet , she is not curvy in anyway . Sugar coating the word Fat as Curvy is a HUGE MISTAKE and these days all Fat girls claim they are curvy .
Thanks for the lecture sir.NEXT!!! You may like to comment on the movie now. |
fellis: See how all these batallion of Omotola defenders are shouting up and down because they just discovered that not everybody idolizes Omotola the way they do.The people you are referring to were just surprised at your senseless post. That's all. It has nothing to do with idolizing her. Just for the records, this was your post fellis: Over hyped fat old woman. You completely ignored the main issue and focused on Omotola. Your post smells jealousy all over it and you couldn't even hide it. Tell me, what is your greatest pain about Omotola that your hatred has generated to this. Is it because she is one of the most successful Actresses in Nigeria? Is it because she is talented? Is it because she is beautiful? Is it because she has a loving and caring husband with wonderful kids? Is it because she still looks good after having 4 children? Is it because she is free from scandals? Is it because she is responsible? Is it because she is one of the very very very few Actresses that have a successful home and marriage. Is it because her wedding was uniquely done in an Aircraft? Is it because her husband is rich and handsome? Is it because her hubby cherishes, adores and respects her. Is it because acting to her is more of a hobby cos she is not hungry and desperate? Is it because her garage boasts of amazing wonder wheels and so on? Whichever is giving you a heart ache, watch it lest you commit suicide someday due to frustration and jealousy.I understand that all those things seems too good to be true to people like you but it is possible as you can see. BTW, Omotola is not over hyped. She is worth being respected in all ramifications as a Mother, Wife and Actress. To some, she is a role model. How many Nigerian Actresses her in Omotola's class? Can you mention up to five in an industry that is filled with thousands? Such person is worthy of being respected. |
philips70: And you said the report was simple to understand when currency type was not mentioned? Or you are one of those PA's who defend their masters even before reading what they are defending against? Now the true report says 24 million Naira. So justify that your common sense.I am not a fan of Omotola and I don't do any movie that is not an Oscar classic. What happened to the first 8 million that was mentioned? The true report didn't say anything about that. Moreover, which is the true report? Can you please post the one you read here or paste the link so that I can verify. |
philips70: Those bolded parts took away your common sense. Those guys who said its Naira used theirs and it turned out to be correct. Next time use yours before calling on others. Even somebody told us gross has to do with money. Remove the groundnuts in your eyes before attempting to remove the sands in other people's eyes next time you hear?Could you please quote any section of the news where NAIRA was mentioned? It seems you don't get it. I didn't verify anything...we were talking based on this report and the fact that NAIRA wasn't mentioned nullifies your point. Taking a guess and then seeing that the guess is correct after verification is a different thing entirely even though I am yet to verify. Moreover, when I said " How can the movie gross 24 million naira?", I know what I am saying. The movie is still in it's premiere state and that couldn't have been the total amount raked except if the definition of GROSS has changed. According to the report, it is even 32 million cos 8 million was mentioned initially. I made that statement because a lot of people were already challenging the amount she would be paid from the figures mentioned. They failed to understand that it has not even started selling. |
philips70: Googled and saw in other news its Nairas they are referring to here and not copies. Journalism in Nigeria is a shameSo, you thought it was copies initially? Do they sell copies of movies at the cinema? Even if they were referring to copies of tickets sold for the premiere, you didn't reason that it is likely impossible to sell 32 million tickets (8 million + 24 million) when it is not a football event.Didn't you see that the report was referring to the success at the cinemas and not the movies itself. The only contemplation I had was if the money stated was in Naira, Pounds or Dollars. |
philips70: Check out things before you start ranting my friend. Which common sense are you talking about here, the one you refused to use in checking?Common sense based on the report that was presented. Highlight anywhere you see NAIRA in the report and let me see. Going to verify from other sources is a different thing entirely. The assertions were made based on this post and that is what I am referring to so, what's your point? It is irrelevant anyway. |
jennykadry: 24 million naira ? How is that successful? When correct movies in the west make millions of dollars in the first week adora4u1: The movie made 24 million naira. Ok. How much of it is Omotola's to make her the highest earning actress in Nollywood?! Jimbadly: Which criteria was used in computing her earnings? This assumption is baseless. That she was the lead actress in a movie that fetched 24 million naira (less than $160,000) doesn't necessarily mean she is the highest earning actress in the industry. I think its safe to say she's among top earners.Where in the report did you see "NAIRA" ? How will that kind of movie gross 24 million naira? Is it that you all have comprehension issues or just beef instinct. Commom sense should tell you that they aren't talking about NAIRA if at all money is being referred to. The report is simple enough to understand. |
bomega4u: Hi naturalwaves,Thanks for the compliment and for the wonderful encouragement. God bless you! |
vascey: I feel you bro. Your write-up is quite touching and paints a very bleak picture which is mostly true. But I encourage you to keep hope alive.Thank you sir. I am keeping all hopes alive.I still post CVs, I still read a lot to stay in tune and I still hope to hear good news from the recruitment processes in progress. Let me give you a lil gist; Aside the fact that I check my mails daily, anytime my phone beeps for a message, my heartbeat skips and my hand shakes a lil bit before I press the READ button only to discover that the message is a network message most times . That is my level of anticipation and hope. |
Dbanj is not representing Nigeria or Africa, he is representing himself, its his career, its not a diplomatic role he is taking up.
I wonder o. |
which nonesense award? e don win award reach femi kuti or papa wemba or mariah makeba? abi e don win grammy? nonesense roadside awards. Most of which are for Oliver Twist (much credit to DonJazzy) - watch as your daft kanye west ass licking hero falls down in slow motion. Dbanj is not a musician and got no music in him, I repeat he is good for MC at wedding ceremonies, probably playing his harmonica by the side.
With this post of yours, I am convinced that you need to see your Doctor. |
thegoodjoehunt: Oliver Twist strikes you from the intro. It is amazing. It is banging. D'Banj winning the MOBO was expected. What you guys don't know is that people criticizing D'Banj, knows he can do better. This track will never win him any award or MOBO and you know it.To you, Oliver Twist may strike from the beginning but to those haters, it never did. thegoodjoehunt: What is our own, D'Banj is making his money. Our only benefit is hit music that is nice to our soul. D'Banj gave us lots of that from the past and we are just hungry for more. This can't satisfy that hunger. The first sentence is what people need to know. They should stop being too hard on the dude. I see you are an Oliver Twist and you hunger for more. Well, there is no crime in that. thegoodjoehunt: Jay-Z had nothing to prove but he gave us a classic BLUEPRINT III album. Akon got nothing to prove, he got Lady Gaga bringing millions of dollars to his table but he still gives us hits regularly.Okay. I get your point but a hit song cannot be determined in 5 minutes. It is the outcome of a song overtime that determines what is a hit and what is not a hit. thegoodjoehunt: I hope you don't feel D'Banj has reached his pinnacle yet. There is still more hits that can come out from him. We should not be satisfied with songs that are not up to his standard. D'Banj is huge and this track is not up to his level.Well, he has tried. At least, he has won everything winnable in the continent from his debut 2 KORA awards to his 3 times MTV best African Act award to Channel O awards and so on. I understand that the thirst for more from him is basically borne out of his new musical sojourn.I hope he lives up to it but if you see a decline, it is a natural thing. No one reigns forever. Your post is a fair criticism and not like some other useless ones borne out of hatred. |
Jarus: Frankly, this defeatist mentality is why some graduates don't get job I.e going to battle(jobs recruitment process) with mindset that you can never win.I am the least person to have a defeatist mentality. The examples you gave up there mostly applies to specific types of graduates in certain fields of study. Even at that, that doesn't still nullify my point. The fact that you got placed by merit doesn't mean the process is totally free and fair. Moreover, I was referring to Graduate Trainee jobs that basically cuts across all fields in that my post because that is where they normally take a high number of graduates most times. Try and conduct a lil research on it and you will be greatly amazed. |
thegoodjoehunt:Honestly, how can you criticize a song you are yet to listen to properly? Immediately the link was pasted, criticisms started flowing with the one from Ikeangawo or whatever he calls himself being the most stewpid of all. The dude was even analysing the video and complaining about the technique used for smashing the glass. Some people need a cure ASAP. Talking about Oliver Twist, the track was greatly criticized as well as trash by most people. The success of Oliver Twist was a great shocker to most people. No one is against criticism but the way most people do it, it is so obvious to see that theirs is borne out of undiluted hatred and prejudice. Go and check the other threads that were posted for othe songs and see the amount of comments...very few. When Dbanj won MOBO, these haters were nowhere to be found as that particular thread was avoided like a plague. Why didn't these critics drop a line of congratulations for him? The rest follows. D'banj is the biggest Nigerian Artiste at the moment and this has shown his popularity the more. As for D'banj living up to par, may I remind you that, he has nothing to prove again. He has attained a great height in his career which is even envious for most Artistes. Nothing lasts forever, no one lasts forever so if he flops, it is a natural thing but I doubt if he is gonna flop anytime soon. I just hope some people won't be hospitalised if he wins a Grammy. |
Jarus: This seems to suggest getting a job is automatic for a graduate, irrespective of how brilliant or good he is.I used to think like you initially before I left school that all I need do is by blasting Aptitude tests, interviews and then get a dream job but now I know better. Things are not as smooth as you think. It takes more than that to get a placement in Nigeria at the moment. I have countless examples I can refer to to show you this. Take for instance, THE NIGERIA FLOURMILLS GRADUATE TRAINEE RECRUITMENT that took place from early this year, February to be precise. After applying, we had to wait for like one month before writing the online personality assessment test. After that, another two to three months before shortlisted candidates wrote the challenging CBT( Computer based test). The test was conducted in 3 major cities, Abuja , PH , Lagos for days with 5 batches per day just for a spot that is less than 100. I even heard they're taking just 25. I am very sure that more than 50,000 people applied for the job. Those that scaled through that did a Functional Test and up till now, nothing has been heard. This is November. Let's assume that the total number of candidates to be taken is 50. The coy has a board of directors and top staff members. Do you think they won't be given slots? Out of the whole recruitment, I am very sure that less than 10 will actually get the job on merit. The point I am trying to make here is that, playing your own part is not enough to get you a job. Moreover, Companies waste a lot of time in concluding their recruitment processes and that usually takes at least 6 months which could be frustrating for graduates. You keep on hoping, hoping and hoping from UAC to FLOURMILLS to NESTLE to Government job etc. Government job is not even devoid of malpractices as well. In the last Lagos state Govt recruitment for teachers, thousands of graduates applied, shortlistment for test was done and some final candidates were selected out of which only about 355 will scale through after a supposed training. On getting to the training centre, I saw a lot of people there that were not even shortlisted for the first test. Some persons did not even write the test and they made the list. Now, what is the fate of those of us who know nobody in the final selection? Won't those ones with long legs be chosen over merit? Time will tell.Well, it is about 5 months after the process started and up till now nothing has been heard. We are all waiting for the final list which was supposed to be released latest by August 15 initially. The list goes on and on and on. Most of my friends that have gotten a placement either got one by connection or by being retained after service.I got an offer to be retained in far away North(Jigawa state) after service but I turned it down due to the fear of Boko Haram which was at it's peak at that time (we conducted the general elections and it was in our time that some Corp members were massacred....so don't blame me if I run)and the fact that I don't want to settle in the North. It simply takes more than being brilliant and blasting tests, packaging oneself to get a placement. I don read GMAT, SHL etc tire and Aptitude tests poses no threat. Aside the big Organisations, there are some average companies that pay shi.t as salary and you will work yourself to stupor in retaining your job. Some nonsense Insurance firms for example pay graduates like 35k or 40k per month. You would be made to walk all around the place to source for clients even under the hot sun. By the time you even subtract your expenses from the salary at the end of the month, you will see that you have been living from hand to mouth. The most probable job for graduates now is to pick up a teaching job in a private secondary school or something. Just last week, I met an intellectually gifted friend of mine teaching in a secondary school. He is a graduate of Elect/elect Engineering and in fact a near genius. He takes about 3 subjects, Mathematics, Further maths and Basic Tech and collects a salary of 20k monthly. The highest most of those schools pay is 25k particularly where I reside. Now, what is that for a graduate? That is too small. Like they say, half a loaf is better than none. Such job is only manageable when you can easily stroll to the school from your house and based on the fact that, you won't need to ask for money to buy recharge cards or have a haircut from your parents again. I think I will soon join him in the school at least for the meantime. From what I have observed, most of the so called Multinational Companies post adverts in the media just for posting sake to fulfil all righteousness as about 70% of the positions are already fixed particularly the jobs for fresh graduates. The small coys are exploiting graduates due to the situation as well. Good graduates, poor salaries. Some companies will even have just 2 to 10 positions available and then paste such vacancies on the internet. They will get the best of the best at the end of the process. If I need a store Keeper and I post the vacancy online, I know I will have more than 500 people to screen. That's terrible! Most of the Boutiques in Allen Avenue and Ikeja now have graduates as Attendants. What a shame! A friend of mine even wrote an Aptitude Test to be a boutique attendant. Na wa o! For those that have understanding family members around, the situation could be managable till they get a placement but for those that have no one to rely on, it could be terrible and frustrating. Even if one has got talents, brilliant, ideas, Entrepreneural thoughts etc, one still needs a footing to stand on before such ideas is put into use. Finally, the musical Artiste, NICE said in one of his songs that BI A KO RENI FEYINTI, BI OLE LAN RI. What that means is that " He who has got no one to rely on tends to look like a lazy fellow". May God help us! |
Music no get tribe or language - a good music is pleasant to the ear and soothes the soul, a bad music hurts the ear and confuses the soul. Listen to Ebenezer Obey, Rolling Dollar, Osita Osadebe, Oliver de cooque, King Sunny Ade, Christy Essien Igbokwe, Onyeka Onwenu ... these people didnt try to ride on tribal sentiment, they simply sang good songs. If your music is good, it overcomes petty minded tribalists and sails into every soul freely. Lets not capiltalize on tribalism to support poor creativity and lack of skill. The first time I heard Dbanj I said this guy got no musical talent and its showing itself. The first time I heard Wande Coal, I said this guy got extra musical talent and it shows itself. Banky W, Dare art alade, IK dairo are musicains naturally, Wizkid got a unique voice pitch and style that stands out, Flavor has a raw/deeply local igbo high life style, listen to lyrical justice by Dagreen and tell me how he sweeps off beyond tribal sentiment even better than english and pidgin english rappers in the likes of Naeto C. Yes Dagreen is lyrically comparable only to MI. You see the akpako master or duncan mighty or timaya doing their thing with uniqueness. Dbanj tapped into the rise of our local (school table) beat discovered by Donjazzy and thrived on it but personally he is just a loud entertainer probably better as a ceremonial jester. Dude is not a musician.
One eyed analysis. What happened to the likes of those you mentioned? Why are they not clinching the awards as much as D'banj? Do you know what it means for someone to be acknowledged as the best musician in Africa not once? Or you think he bribes to get awards. Those that give him the awards know what they are doing and they are not as tone deaf as you are. I doubt you know all these cos if you do you won't spew this trash up here. You said he is not a musician but an entertainer. Are you for real or u just joking. What is the function of a musician if not basically to entertain? Your post makes no sense atall. Try and review it. |
abiL: I've been. He said my taste bud is one of the best he has seen. You so funny. |
abiL: I have and it's still bland. Then you need to see your Doctor to have your taste bud tested. |
queensmith: am i the only one that thinks this song is incredibly stupid? I think the more he tries to sing the worse his songs are, he should stick to frequently shouting nonsense between verses,Do you mean the same nonsense that has won him the best of all the awards in Africa? If that is your definition of nonsense then other Artistes should start singing nonsense too. |
Amitex: Methink that Lagos and ACN have lost focus. The only problem is that PDP is not doing well.Is it the same Mimiko that has failed woefully in Ondo state yiu are referring to or another One? An incubent Governor that could not pull 50% of the votes in returning back to office. He was able to pull only 44% but unfortunately, we have a lot of daft political analysts. A sitting Governor could not convince half of the populase that he is good enough. SMH. If there was only one major opposition party, Mimiko would be out of power by now. A failure has nothing or no one to groom. When Fashola was re elected, it was a flawless victory so, do not bring Mimiko into the light here. Comparing Mimiko with Fashola in any form is a great insult. |
Amitex: Methink that Lagos and ACN have lost focus. The only problem is that PDP is not doing well. |
adelaja70: Thank you my brother for dishing it out to them hot and fast...Most Nigerians are so wicked and heartless that they can do anything to bring down their fellow compatriot. Its really sad....No wonder the country is not moving forward.Exactly! A Proof of your point happened after he won MOBO. They avoided that thread like a plague cos it was a shocker to them. The thread only got about 50+ comments. Some people even said MOBO award is useless bla bla bla but when it comes to bringing someone's name down, they are good at it. |
When D'banj won MOBO awards recently, he got like 58 comments in 4 days with only about 30 being congratulatory messages. They claim not to be haters but they always turn blind eyes to success stories and wait by the sidelines to spew trash at the slightest available chance like this fo.ool below Ikengawo: Let's stop celebrating mediocricy.First and foremost, there is nothing like " mediocricy" except if you meant to say "mediocrity". A link for a song was created, no one is celebrating anything and no one asked you to celebrate a single so what is your point? ![]() Ikengawo: The song was trash, has no point and is not memorable or noteworthyWhy are you so obsessed so much with D'banj such that you analyse everything that comes from him critically. You even went as far as analysing a video. Is that how you analyse every video critically? No, of course or paste a link where you critised such in the past. Your prejudice did not even allow you see anything good in the video. You need to get a cure cos this hatred has gotten into your blood Odeisteen! Ikengawo: If you look at this years biggest hitsEven if D'banj had sang any of those songs, you haters will still criticize him for making noise and lacking depth. Is it the same KUKERE that has 'Yan yan yan yan, kukere kukere oh yan yan yan yan yan kukere kukere...I get moni o kukere kukere kukere' etc you are referring to? AND Ile Ijo with it's 'As a sure boy, I go dey tungban gban tungban gban nile ijo and some senseless lines' or Dami Duro by Davido that is regarded as noise by haters too. Imagine all these coming from Dbanj and imagine the height of critism it's gonna get.Haters will always be haters. Ikengawo: they still sounded very african, looked african, and used africans as the stars of the video.Let me remind you that D'banj has got nothing to prove to anyone again having risen to a great height in his career with an excellent consistency in 8 years. He owes you no explanation for whatever he does. If you don't like his music, go listen to others. It is as simple as that so, get that into your light skull. |
Lusola15: I get atlest 5 to 9 scam text messages every month hw do u think dey get pple number. Am sure some as called u tell u won glo dis mtn dt etc. And u shuld pay.Lolz@ I don agree o. Okay. No need for repetitions as Cooger has done justice to your post up there. Cheers! |
