49cents: From the pots so far tuface is bigger....dbanj sels sex tuface seLls love yet even those who think dbanj would go prefer to hang out with tuface than with the self-acclaimed eja nla...enpty vessels make the largest noise....can't remember any tuface song he was praising gimself as nost nigerian musicians do....even the nickmane was coined by fans not the maestro himself c'mob!Unfortunately, all you put up there has got nothing with who the bigger star is. If you feel Tuface is bigger, state logical reasons why he is. |
eyenCalabar: The OP should've added a poll so that one can just vote. That would've made real sense than this.Hahahaha, if that is the case, a lot of people will vote for Tuface out of sentiments. A poll is not very effective in this case. A 'yes' or ' 'no' question would be better for a poll. If anyone feels one is a bigger star than the other, they should be able to say why and not just rant rubbissh. |
emmysenior: #Akon! There's no need to cherish luxury, cos everything come and go, even this life that we have is borowed........So, do not promise tomorrow. True talk! |
^^^ Honestly, there is no passion and drive for the job again. |
I can't believe some of the comments I am seeing here. Why are some people so daft? The Op asked a simple question of who is a bigger star between D'banj and Tuface and some persons are saying trash about lyrics, noise bla bla bla. What has lyrics or type of song got to do with being a star? A star is a star.Sentiments has so much covered some people's reasoning ability. No wonder the IQ of an average Nigeria was put at less than a 60. ![]() Back to topic, Dbanj is more of a Star than Tuface at the moment. Infact, that is unarguable. Comparing D'banj to Tuface with respect to Stardom is like comparing a Seadorff (Ac milan player) to Xavi (the Bercelonia midfielder), one's career is about to wound off and he is struggling to hold it while the other is well above par and a rave of the moment. There are so much evidences to show that D'banj is the bigger star and has more influence. 1) D'banj, through his music has been able to put a lot of street slangs in the mouth of an average Nigerian. Slangs like FILE (don't touch it), KOKO, NO LONG THING , LABATA etc just to mention a few. This shows that he cuts across more as a star as whatever he says or do becomes common among viewers. Before 2004, Nigerians hardly put on those slim fitted round neck T-shirts, we have not started customising T- shirts also. Dbanj showed all those in his KOKO video when he customised a Pink shirt with a Lagos number plate and customising became an instant thing. He cuts acroos more than Tuface in that regard. 2) There is hardly any musical award that Tuface has won that D'banj has not won and even more. Tuface was the first to win an MTV Base Best African Act in Nigeria, D'banj not only repeated the feat but won it twice as well. Moreover, at the MAMA Awards which is also an MTV awards I.e MTV African Music Awards, he won about 3 awards again in one night including best African Act again (making it 3 times). He won 2 Kora awards in his debut year 2004, best new act and the most promising male Artist in Africa. From that to Hippop awards to NMA to Channel O to MOBO and so on and so forth. He has won everything winnable as far as Africa is concerned. Infact, the total number of collective MTV awards that Dbanj has won is 5. Tuface has only won one.So, how is Tuface a bigger star than him? 3)The average download of all of D'banjs songs online and views alone is more than all the record sales of Tuface Idibia put together. If you are in doubt, just log on to youtube and check. Oliver Twist alone has more than 11 million views on Youtube. None of Tuface's song has up to 3 million views if atall it is even near that. If D'banj is not a bigger star, why is he better in this regard? Why does his song have more followership? 4) Have you ever seen where Dbanj is performing on stage? That is enough to show who the greater star is. The way the Audience reacts at the mention of D'banj's name alone is enough proof. If Tuface is a bigger star, why is the crowd not always cheering as loud as they do for Dbanj? In the days of Micheal Jackson everyone saw what the reaction was always like anytime he steps on stage as he was the biggest star then. This a very glaring example for anyone that is not blind to see. 5)With regards to Endorsements, Dbanj is bigger. Financially, he is a bigger star. He is scandal free and so on. 6) Even if you disregard all the above points, the mere fact that Dbanj signed to G.O.O.D label which is one of the top record labels in the world is enough to show that he is a bigger star between the two.Dbanj rubs shoulders with some of the biggest stars in the world through that signing only. Can you compare a C.Ronaldo signing for a club like Real Madrid which is one of the best and biggest clubs in the world with another player like Suarez signing for Liverpool? and then ask an obvious question of who the bigger star is? That makes the question look stewpid. D'banj beats Tuface hands down in all ramifications with respect to Stardom. I like Tuface with a passion, maybe when the issue of who has got the better talent arises, you can start comparing them but THERE'S NO basis for comparing who the bigger star is as it is obviously Dbanj without sentiments. |
Demoore: That list is flawed. My friend, what exactly is your point? That a University of Agric can never be better than your Lion's den? You agreed with the likes of UI, Ife, Ilorin being on the list but you don't think Unaab is worth being on the list? If that is your point, don't go there cos Unaab is one of the best Universities in Nigeria at least top 5 anyday, anytime. |
Archmed: well, my 5yr old son wants to marry my mother...reason according to him was because i married his mother... .Funniest thing I've heard today. Very very funny! Your son has got a brilliant mind. He thinks like a Scientist. |
tomakint: Like I used to say that, out of the five secrets about death, only one was revealed to us; that one day you will surely die! The remaining four; nobody knows the time or date he or she will die, nobody knows the type of death that will kill him or her, nobody knows where (the place) he or she will die and nobody knows who is next to die!Hmmmm.....True talk. Right on point Tomakint. |
This guy is taking this too far. odum desmond: My problem with ur likes is that u cry more than the bereaved, has any person who gives tithes and offering ever come to u to complain about ur perceived exploitation? Surely those of us who "s*tupidly" give tithes and offering and also "st*upidly" get blessed in giving don't complain at all, infact I ve emptied my pocket several times for God and ve never failed to get double fold blessings in return, there is a mystery many pple re not aware of, it works for us and we can't just stop giving because ur type re crying out. There is a natural law of giving and receiving. The more you give, the more you receive. If you do good, you get good in return. If you do bad, you get same.It is not until one gives in churches that one gets blessed. Your being blessed was not necessarily because you gave in church but because you gave. Moreover, giving in church is not the only way to give to God. When you help people, you are also giving to God. If you want to confirm the natural law of giving, do the same thing you have done in the church outside the church and check if you will be blessed or not. Note that, I am not against giving in church but just want you to know that giving is giving. One gets blessed in folds irrespective of where the giving was done.I know a lot of Philantrophists that do not even know the way to the church and they get blessed in folds through giving. odum desmond: My papa Bishop Oyedepo started out more than 30 years back from a thatched roof church in a remote villageAs a village boy, where did you expect him to start from? From a mansion? Or from a storey building . At that time, most houses were made up of muds and thatched roof (not even zinc). So, that is where he should start from cos that was what most houses were made up of in the village at that time. Even now, there are still a lot of houses with the same characteristics in the North. The problem with folks like you is that, just like the guy you accused of crying more than the bereaved, you talk more than the accused. Next!odum desmond: he was a graduate with prospects in a Nigeria of that time when employers would come to plead with u on the day of ur graduation to work for them, with huge tempting offers of salary, accommodation and even car; but he chose God, he chose to become a preacher than workWell it was a good thing that he chosed God but the fact that he chosed God does not necessarily imply that he has not deviated from what he is supposed to be doing while focusing more on other vanities. odum desmond: he was rejected by his dominantly Muslim family, he was mocked at, his parents felt they had lost a son, but he held on to what he believed in. Today, after all his suffering, he has in turn become raised by God and people are talkinThis case is not a unique one. He is not the first and will not be the last to be rejected by families simply because he chosed something that was different from what they wanted. Even the early Actors and Actresses that were always following dance and drama troupes all around faced more from their families. In some cases, their families even threatened to disown them. Right now, their stubborn moves paid off as Entertainment is one of the biggest things at the moment. So, your point is void wrt Oyedepo. Next! . odum desmond: Let me even ask, a church that has more than a million memeber world wide, shud owing private jet be too much? No, owing a Private jet is not too much but only 4 Private jets that requires huge amount of money to maintain seems senseless.
odum desmond: Have u read about Kenneth Copeland, his church has as at 3 years back given away about 25 jets as gifts to other ministries world wide. Why didn't they keep the 25 Jets to themselves? How many private jets do they use on their own? Go find out and come back. Like you said, "they distributed to other Ministries". Why did they decide to do a distribution? Ans: Cos keeping 25+ jets is unreasonable. odum desmond: Would we rather have a man who would teach decency, love, morals, fear of God, etc to fly on private jet just to meet preaching schedules world wideThis one got me reeling with laughter. "To meet preaching schedules world wide". Who is he preaching to? Is it the same British that brought Christianity to us or the Americans and what will he be preaching about? That Jesus christ died for our sins and they should repent? Or are they flying to Somalia and other remote places for the gospel? If yes, give accounts of what the travel schedule has been like since the acquisition of the jets. Without seeing it, I can bet that the most dominant on the schedule will be America and Europe. Please, do not mistake a Jamboree travelling for preaching of God's work.odum desmond: The place we call Cannan land at Ota before Oyedepo came was a thick forest, the church has turned it to the best city in Nigeria, nobody is commending him and the churchCommend him for what? For expanding his church? I was a regular member of Faith Terbanacle even when it was still at Raji Oba in Alimosho before moving to Ota. The closest place to Lagos is Ogun state and Ibadan. Lagos state has limited land for a big building hence the choice of Ota as the next point. Or, was such land available in Lagos and he decided to move to Ota instead? My friend think! Let us not argue with sentiments. You said he developed it, NO, he shouldn't have developed where his church is, he should have left it as a bush and worship there like that.If I may ask, the development is for whose benefit? Is it not for that of the church?
, odum desmond: yet for them to fly on small 10 passenger private jet is causing uproar in Nigeria. God is watching us all. I believe that a man who has paid so much that many other re unwilling to pay should enjoy what others are not entitled to, all pastors can't be on same level. The church should not forget the word "MODESTY". A Private jet even under the guise of using it to preach the gospel is not that much of a bad idea but 4 Private jets is too much. |
SOH KAH TOA: One of the rules of being a legendary footballer is to leave when the ovation is loudest.. His advisers should caution him against this self destructive move.it will reduce his public rating cos he will not be able to shine like before.Yeah, he left when the ovation was the loudest. If he comes back for a while, it is only to salvage the situation or catch some fun. That wouldn't take anything away from him even if he fires blank subsequently. |

andyanders: I think so.I am with you. Moses is too slow with the ball and makes silly mistakes. I think he should better watch it or be thrown out. He got no speed with the ball. I pray Drogba comes back cos half Drogba is better than 20 TorresExactly! |
Please who is saying they are all stealing ?The bible said we should obey the word of God.The man of God opened my eyes to understand how to give to the poor,God,man and the church her self.Or, i studied my bible and with the help of the holy spirit i got a revelation regarding how to give or sow,i obeyed the word of God,and ''gave GOD'' the same money he blessed me with and you say the pastor was the one who stole the money from me.Yet i did not see anything contrary to the word of God as preached by the pastor,it was not the quran that the pastor used in his preaching,it was still d same bible i have bin reading, no form of deception at least to d best of my knowledge,i did not part with my money at gun point,it was not as if the pastor lied to me,all the things the bible said i should do that if i do them i will get this and that positive results and i have bin seeing all those things. But even if am yet to see them, was it not by faith i did them ? Or have i seen Jesus before ? Was i there when he was crucified ? But becos it is written that's why am doing them my brother. Even if i give to these pastors to help me give to God or i give expecting that God will come pick it up,if the pastors fail to give it to God or stops God from picking up my offering, how does that concerns me ? If God can't fight them, then who are my to fight them ? Funny enough most people shouting foul foul !,they dnt even give . The above isn't addressing you OP but your statement ! God bless us
To start with, which of the pastors are u referring to? So that we can know where to start from. My own post was made based on the person I quoted. According to him, it is not easy to steal funds as it requires great expertise. |
sarutobie: ..how can someone who openly hates the church and what it stands for be expected to say any good thing about it?..how logical is it?It is more illogical to totally ignore the message and focus on the antecedent of the OP. The best approach you can have is to prove that what he has said is wrong. Anything aside that will be totally off mark. |
Wow! I did that a lot when I was in secondary school, not because I intentionally wanted to test the teacherd but because I would have solved some very dificult maths question and will want to see if there are other approaches. Unfortunately, I made a lot of teachers sweat profusely on the chalk board. I had an insatiable love for Mathematics and Physics. |
FXKing2012: itz obvious the author of this piece is either a muslim or an atheist.Argumentum Ad Hominem! My friend, face the issues raised and forget about who the poster is. |
shadrach77: i can't understand this idea of calling pastors thieves every time. My people have a proverb which says 'Young man get money you say na juju e take get am. Why you sef no go do your own juju?' If it was so easy to "fleece" people, why don't you go and start your own church and see if it's that easy? |
anonymous419: yes u are, how dare u blame the uselessness of chelsea on Moses? Wasnt drogba in chelsea when they finished 5th in the league last season? Or was it 6th?I am not blaming anything on Moses. I am just taking a personal assessment of him as a striker. He really needs to step up. |
The mere presence of Didier Drogba on the pitch any day any time irrespective of his fitness level is enough to scare any opposition. A half fit Drogba is still better than a combination of a fully fit Torres and Sturridge. BTW, is Victor Moses a good striker? I have serious doubts about him having watched him for a while now. A striker that can't do a slight chip on a one on one with the keeper, he is never sure of his dribbles, can't cross well, he is not clinical in front of goal. Against Juve, he even attempted playing a left footed, weak shot through a jam packed defence when he could have pushed the ball forward with a lil run and then shoot. With all these, his days at Chelsea are numbered and he might even continue sitting on the bench for long. Or, am I the only one seeing all these? |

I personally lost my respect for that MOG the day he laid hands on Obasanjo to personally pray for him for election success few days to an election that was well known that it will be rigged. He has laid hands on several corrupt persons too all for fringe benefits. Or, will Obasanjo leave the church without dropping 10 million + for the church? Impossible! Adeboye is a Pastor that likes to seat on the fence, neither here nor there which is a bad thing. Of course, no corrupt Govt official will step into Bakare's church cos he won't even hesitate to change the topic just to correct them. A man that can even castigate his own wife in church for wrong doings and even top members of the church. Truth be told, Pastors are becoming too greedy for money nowadays. The aggressiveness with which the RCCG is using to build churches all boils down to the Objective function....money, money and more money. There are about 5 of them just about 20 minutes walk from where I stay. The funny thing is that, most of them are not standard.....poor choir, poor pastor(intellectually, might not be well prepared for sermon most times), poor everything. Is it not better to operate few churches well than to have a lot of them that cannot be properly managed? Only God knows and time will tell. BTW, what does he mean by Open Heavens? |
onye ego: F.I.R.S.==> Generates Money for the Government and BULLY you in your office. They are both 4 lettered They share 3 letters F, R and S. They both start with the letter F They both end with the letter S. They really have things in common ![]() |
filcast: I used this particularl bus stop severally when I was attending a training program at Agindingbin Grammar School. I observed that it is always very silent from 5pm. I closed late on a particular Sunday and tried waiting for a bus. Everywhere was so silent and few vehicles were turning up. After observing the environment for a while, I decided to stay somewhere a little bit far off to avoid being robbed. That spot looks really really dangerous. I finally got a bike and discussed my fear about that spot with the bike man while on the bike and he really warned me not to stay there at night particularly on Sundays as that spot is a dangerous zone. Thanks OP. |
I don't know why this feminine syndrome is on the rampant. Women are really their own worst enemies. I think it is basically due to jealousy which is unnecessary most times. If a woman should compete for an elective post, she will face the greatest opposition from her folks and they wouldn't even vote for her. It is as bad as that! |

banki: i love tunde bakare, i do! i listen to his teachings i never took much note of him until he camee to Abuja to lead the protest against the cabal that held nigeria hostage, and succesfully ensured GEJ was made president of Nigeria.A+. He is intelligent and blunt.Even though he helped GEJ into Aso, he still blasted and corrected him when he (Gej) was not performing as expected. He was also wise to turn down the $50,000 T-fare allowance he was given when he was invited to Aso this year. It was a set up. Had he accepted it, it would have been his undoing and they would have used it against him. |
gbanikiti: they counted it last.I haven't put the money yet in my bag before I felt something strange had happened.but I thank God I have gotten more money to replace my loss.Okay. Having listened to all the various experiences on this thread, I think the Swindlers use both methods. Some use the finger counting/ fast deduction trick while others use Jazz. Although, the Jazz claim seems strange, I know it is possible. I think the best way to get the Swindlers is by going with a security person that hangs around while one makes the cash exchange. The Security will follow them up and monitor their movement even after exchange. If any cash goes missing subsequently after a recount, they can be easily apprehended. What do you think? |
