Your fear is that your data and other info such as address, name , occupation, phone numbers etc could get into the wrong hands in case the database is hacked into or something. Well, that is understandable but not important here as that is not the only form of database available for sourcing basic information. We did a similar registration during elections, your sim card and info is registered with the operators, your university has same etc so why should this be different? Why didn't you refuse or castigate other forms of database before now. If your fear is generally about database in this modern time, then you are still living in the 17th century.Wake up!!!

coogar: if all those omo onile and agberos can register to vote, own bank cards, own mobile phones then getting a resident's ID shouldn't be a problem! i back this idea 100%. if another government comes in, they would continue where fashola stopped!

we all complain nigeria have no central database to identify culprits when criminal activities are committed. a man has stepped up to the plate to start acquiring data and you people are shouting him down - what is wrong with nigerians?

why are you people reluctant to positive changes? is this a tribal issue or a security issue?
damned if the government proffers solutions, damned if they don't!!!
Help me ask them o. Nigeria is lagging behind other developed Nations by at least 100 years. While some people (R.etardeen et al) are doing the talk, someone is taking actions and working towards excellence and development and some fo.ools are castigating him for wanting to have a proper database for the people he governs so as to do proper planning.I wonder what the crime is in doing that.

CultureRe: The Hardest of the 3 Major Language to Learn by naturalwaves: 1:21pm On Nov 09, 2012
Hmmmm The easiest is Hausa language. I served in the North and I was able to learn the basics and conversate effectively within one week of studying the language.

Most people claiming Igbo language is tougher than Yoruba actually grew up and live in Lagos or lived most of their lives in Lagos so when their relations or parents speak Igbo to them, they find it a lil tough. Moreover, the type of Yoruba that is spoken in Lagos is not a core one. It is the adulterated version. I have never attempted knowing or learning Igbo so I cannot say much on it.

There are various factors that will determine what language is the hardest e.g How accommodating and friendly the host community is....Hausas are so accommodatting and friendly likewise the Yorubas. The Hausas will be so happy to teach you their language, if you make a mistake, they will correct you in a loving manner. Infact, once they know you are a stranger, they are always happy merely hearing you speak their language. Same cannot really be said about the Igbos. They are a lil bit hostile ( my sister served in Enugu). Another factor to consider is the time of exposure to the languages and many other things (I guess OP is not a scientist)

Until we get someone like Bisi Olatilo that is so versed in the three languages or someone that has lived in nearly equal periods in regions that speak the languages, we cannot really say which of the languages is the toughest. Although, Yoruba language is the most circulated, the most studied and the richest of the three languages, I can't say which is the toughest to learn.

KINGwax: well, mr once upon a time, there's no where in the bible dt claims it's ABOMINABLE for a woman to preach. But because women has used the opportunity to air their biased they, talk abt their marital status, used it to poke people who they had in mind, name names, cause all manner of rift, there was a law to ban them from preaching. It was concluded by the elders that anythin they have to say shld be voiced to her husband or elders who will properly put it in reference to her. It is still happenin now, lady preachers are too feminine in their preachin and u knw it.
But talkin abt that pastor, his wife's behavior is nothing to write home abt. So worst and wrong. I knw ds because i was very close to most of his people. Moyosore was once my girlie, his niece who lived with them and the stories of even tobi and bukky his children dt i knw were nonsense.
In 2010, i knw moyo was wrong, but with the help of his wife, he sent both his own sister(ogundele), though not of the same mother and moyo(seriously, a pervert), out in the winds, at night(making the second time) and stopping the girl's school he has been sponsoring!
Not dt i care, but apart from his words which i listen to in preaching(though riddled with politics now, making them useless to me), that man is never a role model and his wife's a joke!
I undstnd him when he said wives shldnt be pastors, yes, but is he saying wives of pastors can't be ministered to by the holy spirit?
He shld stop using his empty wife as a yardstick!
And as for u,'INURMIND', u were never a christian, mayb cos u were born into a christian family!
My friend, shut up and face the topic...What is our business with his family? If you have nothing meaningful to say to the topic again, go and sleep. I wonder how you pass exams.
Music/RadioRe: Wande Coal to Launch Record Label, Has Don Jazzy's Support by naturalwaves: 6:43am On Nov 05, 2012
OrangeHokage: Its really painful when young Nigerians find it very hard to articulate or understand, whats wrong if someone decides to float his/her own record label, after all lil wayne has YM under CM, drake has OVO under YM, d'banj has DB records under Goodmusic/defjam africa, so what d bad tin if wande wants to float his own record label even as a marvin artist, as long as Don jazzy doesn't have a problem wif that, all of u̶̲̥̅̊ can like to make better meaning wif ur life....
Do you mean to say that, Wande Coal will float his record label and not be an Artiste under it? NOPE. I am very sure it is only a matter of time before he leaves Mavin and stick with his own label. There is more to the story...I think Don Jazzy and Wande have discussed and the latter was told or realised that there is a very high possibility of being in the lower Prefential cadre in the scheme of things. Remember that, Mavin Records just signed 2 new Artistes and they should receive a bulk of the attention from Don Jazzy at the moment. Tiwa is there, Dprince also and Dr Sid. I think Wande is a fast reasoner. He might just pay Don Jazzy for productions in his own label. Owning a Record label takes more than just recording songs. I just hope Wande can successfully handle one.

From the way a woman seats, talks and even breas.tfeed her child, one can easily know how shameless such woman is.One of the greatest mistakes a man can make in Marriage is to marry a shameless woman. Why should a woman flip her Mammery glands all over the place cos she wants to breas.tfeed her child?
Christianity EtcRe: Is It Right To Bosom Feed A Baby In Church? by naturalwaves: 9:02pm On Nov 04, 2012
Blueboy0402: The key point here is "decency". Nobody is stopping a nursing mother from breastfeeding her baby because it's her duty. Infact any mother that denies her baby breast milk is evil. But the fact still remains that there is a better way of doing this in public. Take a look at these examples;

1. A woman whose fluid breaks suddenly and experience labour in public eg church is shielded from the preying eyes of the public. Why is it that women donate their wrapper to form a shield around her?
2. Why is it that career women breastfeed their baby while at their desk?

So as you can see I am not against a woman breastfeeding her baby but if she find herself in public I think she should excuse herself and go to elsewhere to feed her baby. Like I said there are better ways of doing it.
Any woman that doesn't know this in not worth being a mother. Who on earth will ask a woman not to bre.ast feed her baby? Like you said, the key thing is decency but most of them don't know this.

You were making some sense not until you wrote this..........

tonychristopher: ITS ONLY A PERVERT,BASTARD AND EVIL MINDED MAN,SEX STARVED ONE OR LESBIAN THAT GETS TURNED ON SEEING BREASTFEEDING MOTHER AS AN EYESORE
What has being a bastard etc got to do with the issue? undecided undecided undecided Why are you insulting the OP indirectly?

If I may ask you, how can one get turned on by an Eyesore? Your foo.lishness is of the first class order. An eyesore is most likely to irritate one and not turn one on. By your argument, anything one finds irritating or inappropriate must definately be turning one on. Do you know your IQ? If you don't , please check!

Moreover, it is obvious you are being distracted in church cos if not, you wouldn't have used such derogatory names on someone. Instead of you to listen to the pastor, you are always looking at nursing mothers, telling them to bring out their brea.st freely and feed their babies

tonychristopher: I SUPPORT BREAST FEEDING BE IT IN ANY PLACE COS ITS WHAT GOD GAVE WOMEN SO THEY SHOULDNT BE ASHAMED

PERVERTED ONES
By the argument above, I guess you also support urinating in any place. It is your type of men that constitutes a nuisance in public. I am very very sure you urinate by the road sides, gutters etc without some caution. By their fruits, you shall know them. This is not rocket science, it is simple logic!

debrief08: Thats what breast covers are for, wear it over your neck it covers your br3ast and the baby while you feed, I am a mother and really dont see the point of being flashed with boobs in public
What a relief! Very very sensible post particularly when it is coming from a mother. I didn't know who to quote and how to start replying the numerous daft posts earlier on.
Thanks!

I personally find it a lil bit irritating when I see a woman bre.ast feeding in public #no offence#. It is so rude to accuse the OP of lust. Is there any pleasure in seeing a woman breas.t feed? undecided undecided undecided.

Moreover, it all boils down to how a mother trains her child. An average meal of brea.st milk should last a child for about 2 to 3 hours. I believe if a woman bre.stfeeds her child very well before service, she will hardly need to do same again during service which spans between that same period. Moreover, why not put some baby food in the feeding bottle and take that to church after breas.t feeding the child at home. It is very possible to structure a fair timetable for a child in which the child won't be deprived in any way.

Some mothers are so so lazy that they do not take proper care of some basic things before leaving home like brea.st feeding and making sure that the children uses the toilet before leaving home. The latter is very important for growing kids so they won't start saying "I want to use the toilet" or pee at wrong times like during a church service. The same thing should be done even before going to bed too in order to reduce the probability of bed wetting to the barest minimum.

Toaskarity: I never intend to insult you but i think you will deserve some now. Now nobody here doesnt know its a word refering to blacks ("ancient Latin, niger, 'black', probably from a Proto-Indo-European root *nekw-, 'to be dark', akin to *nokw- 'night') but then what is the mystery behind it years ago that i believe you dont really know!! you see atleast even my dad that dint finsh high school are way smarter than you talkmore of NL that can read and type, one thing is certain you are nothing but a poor peckham tout, i sense what you do there is to wash plates and with free internet service provided by the queen then you can type trash to gain popularity! i promise the only ppl that hail you here are nothing but plate washers like you!
NB: please anytime in ur life(if ever you will) maybe visit the USA, go to black hood and scream your NEGRO words with pride to older generation, i promise you after a brief brutality and uppercut even your nairalands dream girls wont recognise you again!! eeediottttttttttttt
My friend, when you make a blunder and you are corrected, swallow your pride and take to corrections. It was obvious you mistook the word Negro for Nigge.r and instead of you to accept corrections even after you checked some reference materials, you resulted into insults. Anyone that doubts your IQ level is right afterall with your kind of behaviour.

When the word Negro was created, it was basically used to refer to persons with black skins from an African origin.Due to subsequent rascism against black people etc, some people find the word offensive(they thought it was) because it was given to them by the Europeans even though the word mean 'blacks'.That is why some people prefer to be called blacks instead of the word Negro.Since some persons find it offensive, it is advisable to use the word 'black' instead. You could still have told Shymexx this without the long epistle of insults cos he is right whichever way you look at it. By your argument, you should hate the word 'black' too.

Last year, I called a friend of mine an Amateur footballer and he got angry. The word 'Amateur' was offensive to him but it is not an insult cos he is not a Professional footballer. I stopped calling him that for peace sake. When something is offensive, it is not necessarily an insult. The same applies to the word "Negro".
