If he has rich friends, he'll raise more than 60% from committee of friends. 20% would come from associations he belongs to. And the remaining 20% would come from his pocket. |
Lol...that 5m is a bait he's dangling at prospective customers, if you fall for it, you'll spend more cos 5m would not build it. But 5m would go a very long way which he knows that's why he wants you commit your 5m to him, cos once you've done that, you'll pay whatever amount he asks you to pay for completion. |
It could be a deliberate murder by the guy. Maybe they had an argument which escalated to a fight and she was hit and died immediately. It could be that the lady had underlying health issues and most likely died during their intense sex romp. It could be that the guy used her for rituals. We would never know. But since the guy made payment to the hotel through bank transfer, it shouldn't be difficult for the police to trace that account, get his details and have him arrested. |
The rule of the thumb when drinking with your so called friends are as follows... 1. Always finish your drink before going to urinate. 2. Never drink from a glass whenever you're drinking with more than one person, always request for straw. 3. After coming back from the toilet, and you want another drink, request for another straw as well. Don't use the same straw you left behind. 4. Never discuss your success with friends over a drink. It's most likely going to stir up their envy. 5. Don't join them in eating anything you didn't personally order for, be it meat, ponmo, gizzard, chicken, pepper soup...etc. If you follow these rules, you'll live long. |
talented321:It's childish because it's anonymous. No notable political figure or celebrity would waste his/her time on an anonymous web space where he wouldn't be recognized. If Nairaland had upgraded itself by making it's users register with their real identities, believe me, it would have grown bigger than this. Cos popular celebrities and politicians would pull all their followers from other SM channels here. Nairaland has been in operation for over 18 years, yet there's no significant changes in how the site has been since it's creation till date. Maybe this is why it's yet to gain popularity in Nigeria not to talk of Africa and the world at large. You can't wear a mask and expect to be popular. People wouldn't know who you are. Until Nairaland removes it's mask, it would continue to be in the shadows. |
Kirchoffs:NEPA was right. Your meter is in debt. Usually when a compound is using Post Paid meter, and NEPA brings a bill of 40k, they may pay 30k and carryover 10k to the following month. By the time they continue doing that for a year, that meter would have a debit of over 200k. So when the landlord applies for prepaid meter and NEPA brings it, they would calculate the total debt and distribute it amongst the meters. I.e if there are 6 prepaid meters to be installed in the flats, and you were owing them 300k in the previous meter, they'll share the debt meaning each new meter would inherit a debt of 50k. So if you recharge 7k, 3-4k would be subtracted from your 7k to offset the 50k debt. And it would keep on happening until the total debt of 50k has been settled. This is why whenever you're moving into a new apartment, make sure that they've been using prepaid meter for over 2 years. So that any debt whatsoever they inherited from the previous meter would have been paid off by the time you're moving in. Sadly there's nothing your landlord can do. Cos it's tenants who accumulated the debt not him. This means that tenants must pay it off. |
talented321:Nairaland's toxicity thrives because of it anonymous nature. Anyone can just open the website, register, and start making tribalistic or toxic comments. The site doesn't verify your identity so you don't have any image to protect whenever you want to make a silly comment. Apps like Twitter and Facebook, although toxic, but it's limited cos you can easily be tracked if you post nonsense. We've seen the police arresting Twitter and Facebook users over comments made against political figures in the past. So to an extent, there's decency over there. On Nairaland it's just pure hell, that's why despite being in service for over a decade, it's still not popular. If you meet 100 random people on the street and ask them about Nairaland,, less than 20 would know Nairaland. If Nairaland had taken it's verification seriously, and upgraded to become more open in knowing it's users details, scam, tribalism, hateful comments, gender attack, would have been reduced to it's barest minimum, and the site would attract more mature and political figures, thus increasing it's revenue for the owners. But sadly, it's been highjacked by lazy and jobless kids, roaming around and looking for who to attack. Would I say it's informative...no, cos if I really want information about anything, I'll head to YouTube where it would be explained in details. |
Chiduwa:This is democracy not a military government. Meaning the army cannot just barge into any state with guns blazing without seeking the official consent of the governor. |
Isn't it obvious. If you lend your babe money she definitely wouldn't pay you back. If you lend your boyfriend money, you'll end up quarrelling with him, which might even lead to a break-up. And you still wouldn't get it back. |
Madness if you ask me. So many men out there calling themselves husbands, lack principles and standard! This is why I tell people that a woman should meet you with a certain level of standard, stop being a man of anything goes! This gender will so stain your white once they know you have no principles! The wife of a man with standard and principles will never try this nonsense! |
CuriousStudent:This is why during my schooling days, whenever I'm going back to school, and my dad asks me to calculate my fees, accommodation and other expenses, and give him the total figure. I'll make sure I inflate the total figure possible after all my calculations. This will help cover any cost I forget to add or any emergency fee I'm slammed with in school. I expected the family to have done this. Calculate the total cost along with expenses then inflate the total. If they had done this, they wouldn't have been shamelessly dragging money with the pastor. |
folake4u:1. Not necessarily. I don't struggle with my emotions, I won't say I'm a hard person either, I'll say I'm not a persistent person, if you're not reciprocating I'm out before I get hurt. That act alone has helped me manage my emotions. 2. What's a perfect day without profit. When I make a jaw dropping profit from my side Hussle. I tag Acidosis, pocohantas, falseprophet1, GloriousGbola, emmaodet, Proserpina, Olasyke |
Lol very soon everyone would start crying anyhow during burials so as to attract the sympathy of rich guests. I trust my country people, we no de carry last. |
AwokenVawulence:It's tricky. But if you look at it logically, the pastor deserves the right to keep back a certain amount for the church. The microphone that was used to make announcement uses battery, and services are powered either by NEPA or gen, so expenses are being made every Sunday. Besides there are also needy people in the church which need help. So the church is entitled to a percentage of whatever amount that goes into it's account. |
mariahAngel:A friend told me about it that it happened in his church. Besides why do you look surprised, most up coming Pentecostal pastors character becomes pathetic once money is involved. |
A member of a church underwent a major operation, and his medical bill was N245,000. And he couldn't afford it. His brother went to the Pastor on Sunday and told him to assist. The Pastor picked the microphone and told the church that our brother needs N245,000 to settle his medical bill. Members began to donate. After donations, what was realized was N760,000. And after the church, the Pastor counted N245,000 and gave the brother to the sick person, and then he put the balance into the church account. The sick person's family are aggrieved. They're of the opinion that members raised that money for their brother and not the church so the church has no right to keep back any amount given to their brother. Cos the announcement was specifically to raise money for the sick brother. The pastor is saying that they requested for 245k and he has given it to them. So whatever is left belongs to the church. Is the pastor right? Or is he greedy? Contributions are welcomed. |
Just call a carpenter and change all the mosquito nets in your house and you'll be free from mosquitoes. |
Billionaire2:Mostly power or money. Not necessarily women. Pastors don't fight each other openly for women, but can do anything for power and money. |
GeneralPula:Lol, I'm surprised that this is coming from you. Those guys you see in clubs are your regular average salary earners, average business men, bet9ja lucky winners, drug pushers, and Yahoo boys. If that's your definition of rich, I'm truly disappointed. |
Villa12:Yes. Jamb sends your original results along with your Bio-data to the school. |
Falsifying your jamb results is like digging a pit in front of your house. You'd end up falling inside it. This is because, even if you successfully use the falsified results to gain admission, on or before your graduation, jamb would send your original results to your University along with your jamb reg number, which would be used for your NYSC. So if it's discovered that your jamb result was Forged, you obviously cannot graduate and all your years of paying school fees and attending lectures would be a waste. It makes no sense why people do it. |
All except train. I've never been on a train in my life. Hopefully someday, I'd try it out. |
Lol... unless you want your business to fold up, it's not wise to include credit as a means of payment in your business. |
Ever heard of the word packaging? That's how most people are living these days. They put on good clothes and wear bright smiles and you think they've got billions in their accounts, but no...they're struggling, some haven't even eaten. Sadly, that 50k you feel should mean nothing to them means a lot. Cos anyone not doing a good job or have a successful business cannot singlehandedly raise that money (50k) at a moment's notice in this economy. Your Best bet would be to use your salary account and apply for a loan from your bank. Since it's your salary account, your bank would approve the loan and you can use the money to sort out your accommodation stuff and pay back the following month when your salary drops. Case solved... |
Ikaeniyan0:The worse part is we weren't paying during fashola's era, today they keep increasing the bills they bring to us. The last one was 14k. Can you imagine? |
To what end if I may ask? With the high rate if STDs flying everywhere, why take such risk? |
Gift kwa, you're not even sure if they'll accept you yet and you're talking about gift. Deeper life people are very religious. Anyways, you can send her money to cook something special and buy drinks. That in my opinion is ok. You and her parents can discuss over the meal. |
I find it very difficult to believe that a fully grown child(ren) would abandon their biological father who laboured for them to die in poverty. Unless for the following reasons... 1. He was a chronic womanizer. He made their mom cry by chasing anything in skirt. One of the greatest errors of womanizers is that they take care of their kids and abandon their wives. So when those kids grow up, they'll make sure they deal with you for bringing so much pain to their mom. If you want to enjoy your old age as a man, your wife should be your best friend. 2. Poor spiritual upbringing. I've said this and I'll say it again. One of the major reasons why most marriages in Africa are still standing is because of the fear we have for God. If you marry a woman with the fear of God, she wouldn't cheat on you in marriage. And she'll raise her kids to love and fear God. So your family would be a family that has the fear of God. This means that your children cannot and would not abandon you in your old age because they've been raised to understand that it's a sin against God. 3. Poor relationship with in-laws from their father's side. This happens mostly in inter-tribal marriages where the father's people never supported the union. The children would grow up to hate everything from their father's side including their own father. No thanks to their mom who would amplify the division and tell fabricated stories of how they nearly killed her when she visited them. If nothing is done by the man to unite his family, his kids would begin to see him as a stranger. 4. Irresponsible children. When your children are irresponsible, they'll pursue their addictions and abandon you. We see that a lot here in Nigeria, it's mostly common with Yahoo boys and some lucky bet9ja gamblers who hit it big. Their parents might be struggling to eat, but their kids are out there playing "Dorime" in clubs and wasting millions on harlots. So if those kids went to Europe and America and got carried away by the lifestyle over there, it's possible that they might even have forgotten that he exists. 5. Spiritual problem. Some people might not believe this, but it happens. One village old man or woman might just spiritually turn the hearts of the children against their father, so they'll begin to hate him for no good reason. |
The rule of the thumb when renting an accommodation is never pay any agent or landlord upfront for an uncompleted building. Nigerians aren't honest when money is involved. Make sure the apartment is fully completed and habitable before committing your money. Secondly, once you pay, move in immediately. If you pay today, paint it tomorrow and move in the following day. Some agents once they rent out an apartment to you and after a week or more, the you haven't moved in, and they find someone who is ready to pay more than what you paid, they'll collect the money from the new tenant and tell you to find somewhere else that after all the house is still empty. I've seen this happen several times in Lagos. When you come for refund, it would be story upon story. And if you're not the mad and violent type, sorry is your name. |
King Solomon married 300 wives and had 700 concubines. After sampling all of them he took a deep breath and said vanity upon "vanity, all is vanity" A popular comedian once said, once you release, you'll discover that everything you did to get her laid wasn't worth it. But unfortunately whether you choose to believe it on not, all men come from that hole, and they spend their whole lives trying to get back in there, because there's no place like home. |

the remaining, what should have been done is the pastor would have give them at least 350,000 and kept
