To lock your sim card, call MTN call center and request for your puk number, they'll ask you some personal questions to ensure that you're the owner of the line, once you answer them correctly they'll send you the puk number via text message, and with it, you can password your sim.

Secondly, if you phone gets stolen, even though your sim is locked, borrow a phone from a friend and call your bank's customer service number ASAP. To get their number go to Google. If you're using uba for example, type uba customer service number, Google would bring it out, dial it and tell them to temporarily block your account and state your reasons.

They would ask you some personal questions to ensure that you're the owner of the account like your email, your registered phone number, your date of birth, the state and LGA where the account was opened...etc. once you answer them correctly, your account wouldn't be temporarily block pending when you'll retrieve your line. This would make it impossible for the scammers to access your funds despite the fact that they have your sim card.

Note: to unblock your account, you must present a valid means of identification at any of your bank's branch.

Alternatively you can use another phone to call your service provider but this method isn't advisable cos MTN can keep you waiting for hours before an available call center agent would be assigned to attend to you giving the scammers ample time to perfect their illicit act on your account.

Finally, for your own safety, always have more than one phone, the line that connects to all your bank accounts should permanently be kept in your house, you can use other lines for your everyday activities. So even if it gets stolen, the theives cannot access your account with the Sim.

Sometimes I ask myself if it's a taboo for Nigerian girls to work, make money and spend on themselves rather than making unrealistic demands from men.

Just thank your stars that you haven't married her yet. Girls of such nature would watch you starve to death rather than spend their money on you.

If you want an offline business that would require your presence which you can successfully engage in with your 5-10k budget, I'd suggest

1. Pop corn (if you already have the machine),

2. Selling fries (akara, yam, potatoes, plantain)

3. Frying egg rolls, buns, puf puf, zobo and selling them at the gate of secondary schools.

4. Dry cleaning (but you'll have to be washing manually until you have enough money to acquire a machine.

Next time before you rent any accommodation, do this....after agreeing with the care taker and concluded necessary inspections, tell him you'll make payment say like on a Monday, then visit the environment on a Saturday, when you do, look for a shop that's very close to the house you want to rent, branch there and buy soft drinks and snacks then engage the woman (shop owner) in a discussion about the house you want to rent.

Whew...my dear a large majority of Nigerian youths are toxic by default. It's an economy problem, people are just angry because nothing is working out. This is a case of misplaced priorities. All these banning isn't important, who go fúck go still fúck. They should focus more on improving the learning conditions of their students. Punish lecturers who threaten female students with an "F" if they don't have sex with them, go online so that if as a lecturer you can't make it to the classroom you can lecture your students wherever you are and give them assignments which they'll do and submit online.
