if truly Obasanjo was traveling cause of us to cancel debt or whatever, I believe we won't be in the shit we are in presently, bottom line everyone is selfish, selfish individual interest as finished Nigerians, don't claim to love me more than me...
"In October 2005, Nigeria and the Paris Club announced a final agreement for debt relief worth $18 billion and an overall reduction of Nigeria's debt stock by $30 billion. The deal was completed on April 21, 2006, when Nigeria made its final payment and its books were cleared of any Paris Club debt."

https://www.cgdev.org/initiative/nigerian-debt-relief

This was a very big deal, and gave the government a lot of breathing room to spend on infrastructure and other public works, instead of servicing debt. All that globetrotting brought about a fantastic period of economic growth from 1999-2015 that saw Nigeria emerge from 50th to 21st on the world GDP ranking. I have been tracking this (I'm one of the editors of this wikipedia section). If not for PMB, we would have been 19 or 20, instead of falling back to 23.*

*Yes, I am aware of the recession, but it was a global phenomenon and as such, all economies slowed down. Nigeria's response to the recession was worse than most, thanks to PMB. That's the point.

Obasanjo: 110 days in a year.
Buhari: 103+83 days in 6 months.
Who is the bigger devil here undecided undecided
No mind am.

And the globe-trotting brought about several things:
- Paris club debt was written off
- mobile licences were issued
- foreign investment inflow
- privatization and revival of industries, rail, roads

And being sick in London did what?

Pmb has been failing Nigerians for too long. Since the beginning of Apc government it has been lies upon lies. What do you expect from a government that based on series of lies and fraud. The clueless Weak pmb doesn't understand governance. For you to play a lot of useless cards here nothing for his government. Am asking how many masses that voted for him has benefit massively from his government. It is still the same set of people that kept ruling us. No differences no development. No changes in their governance except telling us series of lies. I will always inform the nairalanders here that if at last Nigeria isn't restructured of divided , APC will be crushed. Even in my state here in osun state, no hope and future for them. PDP will defeat them massively in the next year governorship election. By the special grace of God, we will witness it. The masses and Apc supporters are living enmass from Apc government. They failed with their lies.
I with you, just that PDP and APC are birds of the same feather... I'm hoping for more independent candidates for senate and house, and hopefully some governors. If we can't get fresh blood in the executive, at least we can weaken the stranglehold of the two parties.

shocked

A wise woman should know that men are not domesticated.
She should have begged a female friend to fill in for her or gotten a young female help.

Men are wired to thrive outside the home front. Household chores are solely the responsibility of the wife.

A man might not be able to wash his own plates at home but he will toil and labour like a pig under the sun all day just to bring something back home.
Eh? female friend to be there in her absencehuh Did I hear you well? The topic would have been: "I traveled for 1 week, and my friend is now pregnant for my husband". At least you can remove maggots and clean up with some bleach.

As for me, I for patronize buka for that 1 week. Nothing extravagant: 400 rice or 200 amala, plus 100 meat and pure water. Then garri to support the ministry.

I don't mind cooking, but sometimes the headache of entering market to buy food, then finding gas and time to cook... I can save money by working more and eating at Mama Blessing's spot.

You'll note he disobeyed orders on several occasions, going so far as 50km from the Chadian border; then he overthrew his boss in his personal quest for power, instead of campaigning against the perceived excesses. Then he proceeded to plunge the country into a recession, amid a repressive regime that saw nothing wrong in jailing people for their different opinions and flogging civilians for indiscipline.

Not exactly a role model of due process and respect for human dignity

thats not money compared to things like Big brother naija, talent shows and d rest
It's something... and comparing countries, 1 footballer by name Neymar got contract over 200 million pounds for running and kicking ball. Yet the average salary for experienced doctors in UK is about 100 thousand pounds. Meaning Europe values one ball kicker the same as 2000 life savers.

This post is part of the problem with Nigeria. You are basically saying we should bribe people to go to school or pay people too excel?
I think you're missing the point... you know scholarships are given to the best students to encourage them... is that bribe? Isn't that also paying people to excel?

It's no mean feat to be the top of your class in medicine. She did that without financial incentive, but if 500k can help encourage others to aspire, then what is wrong with that? It's a lot better than aspiring to be a slay queen. Kudos to the NGO. People are even abusing the amount of money as small, knowing full well that 500k can transform their lives.

Well that was an agreement of two gentlemen from three generations ago. We the current generation want to decide for ourselves what we want.
If all we see is continued marginalization, hatred, blind bigotry and slavish sycophancy, then perhaps it's time for something different.

If not, in 2117 our great grand children will still be dealing with the same rubbish.

It's a sad case and a 360 degree backward on the police . If the DPO is not remove as a bad example, the Police will have mess up the good intentions of the IG. Kindly escalate on Twitter and Facebook until the news get to the Presidency #SackIfakoDPO
The sad truth is the country is filled with DPOs like this, who owe no obligation to the local community and act like parasites. He knows what right from wrong, yet wants to hold her to get his bail money. I've dealt with two such, and I know. Even if the inspector collects money, you can be sure he must give DPO his share. In fact, the DPO insists on his quota. It's rare to find a DPO who is liked by his officers, and it's my opinion the DPO is the singular point of corruption in the NPF

Impressive policing from the NPF I must say .They must look into every angle just to make sure nobody is playing smart ..The woman left herself open to suspicion the moment she took the child to her church instead of the nearest authorities and from there further took the child to another station outside the jurisdiction she claimed she saw the child ..I must say this is impressive policing and I stand with the Nigerian police on this ..Great call by the police
If she didn't first take the child to the church, it would have made her case much weaker. The fact that she had witnesses that saw her bring the child to church is probably what has saved her in this case.

If she took the missing child to the police station without telling anybody else, you can be sure that we won't have heard of her case and she'll be remanded with nobody knowing what happened.

Guy... no kitty cat is worth the wahala that messing with your married neighbor will bring

Just think: after you hit it, once or even 10 times, you yourself will tire of it, and she won't be so tempting.
But now, you have to deal with an irate husband, a jealous woman who won't let you rest or bring other girls in peace, being involved in their arguments, possibly having to move out, and if you're not careful, being a father. I really doubt you will say "yea, that kitty was totally worth it and I'd totally do that again"

This niqqaz leaves Nigeria to go do fraud in the US. One of the reasons Donald Trump wanted to deport Nigerians from the states. Anytimes its robbery, scam, or drugs business; Nigeria will always be there...E weak me o
And if Trump deports Nigerians from US, there will be about 200,000 professionals - doctors, surgeons, business magnates, analysts, athletes, writers, performers, singers, artists, students, bus drivers, small business owners, broadcasters, mechanics, cooks, real estate, professors, nurses, etc that it stands to lose.

It's always the case that 100 bad eggs spoil things for the remaining 199,900. Nobody takes note or writes stories about these 199,900 who work their butt off, adding to the economy and paying taxes to the US government.
