EgunMogaji:These are some really nice pieces. Where did you buy your toilet and sink? It seems out in Delta, everything has a 1.5x markup. It might be worth buying and then transporting. |
44chux:Please expand on this. I was under the impression that you wanted to keep these systems separate so that any lightening action on the arrestor would not affect the electronics (earth grounding). We've got a solar installation, where the negative of the panels are eventually routed to earth ground. |
So which one did not settle police? "Suleiman, did you give them that Ghana-must-go bag?" "Sorry no, I had to use the money to settle some people" "Are you mad!? So that's why they on siren for us today" ![]() |
RIP, may her children find succor. |
... and who is that woman screaming and hollering? Poverty is a mental illness, I tell you. The poor old woman is either sleep walked or is suffering from dementia... and for that Nigerians get hysterical. It's a real pity. ![]() Even if she was a witch? WTF would she be doing on the roof? Won't she find space to land on the ground, near bushes? Rather than risk climbing down from the roof everytime she has a meeting. |
Prime1:Dem boku well well... what is stopping you? ![]() |
shedy03:You dey mind them? I've stopped believing anything glo tells me about their plans... I just use them for calls now |
Suspect33:That's IF you can get signal... I use glo around Asaba and Internet access is terrible. I've resigned to using the more expensive MTN, but I can actually connect without issue. |
First of all, I'm not in the habit of lending money to people; yes I know there are baller friends who borrow themselves 4M every week, but my pocket no reach. Highest 10k, and that one no be borrow, na dash. Second, maybe the guy has been eyeing you, but you no gree. Now that you owe him, maybe he feels he can get with you (and still collect his money later). Either way, no way will I borrow a lady 300k then only want sex in return. You must pay me my 300k, and from that I will use 5k to chop kpomo in the regular places. |
So when is gov't going to drag this guy back to jail for violating his bail conditions on multiple occasions (being part of public gatherings)? Initially, he was spotted in private gatherings, and I defended it. I don't know what to make of his recent outings. Is he intentionally trying to be an outlaw? In that case he shouldn't complain about living in a zoo when he's picked up. UK will not be there to bail you oh. |
Homeboiy:Even if growth is not the right solution for his preferred lifestyle? Growth comes with the headaches of managing more people, dealing with more bureaucracy, and sleeping less. With people comes paying rent for an office, paying for electricity to keep all their computers on, dealing with traffic everyday, and office politics. Why do all that if you don't need it? As it is, he can chill with a beer and asun and manage Nairaland from his living room. Seems like an ideal way to run a business and keep your costs low. That said, there are businesses models that need to have physical space and expand (manufacturing, retail), but this doesn't seem like one of them. |
badbreathcure101:Heh heh, I was wondering when we'd see another rehash of "Y u so backwards, nairaland?" Where's this clone and how popular is it? I hope they make it load as fast as NL, because all these also rans have a lot of technology, but little content. I don't want to waste my MB on javascript or find that my 6-year old phone won't load. At any rate, here and there will be overrun by the same content, since it's the same country, with the same peoples ![]() Anyways, is it NL's fault that we have lots of yahoo boiz and peddlers? You know, we also post news of pre-wedding, snakes*, inventions, students with A's graduating in London, property, kidnappers, terrorists, accidents, somebody sick or missing, investments, snakes*, technology, separatists, travel, tourism, social media public spats, ailing leader, and did I mention snakes?* ![]() *Thank God the snake thing has calmed down... for a time, I think there was snake post every damn day on front page ![]() |
Chai... the one and only Ras Kimono... takes me back to my childhood when children and parents could listen to the same music ![]() Not now that I'm shy to to play "Shake yur bum bum" or "Dis your baka dey make me dey craze" in front of my children |
QuickStandard:Because generally, Christians are not compelled to pray at specific times, in a specific manner, every day. So the demand for it is relatively low. There are ablution spaces in many areas in Nigeria, will you also call for baptism basins to be installed too? |
You know the real winner in this story? The family of Guccio Gucci who get money every single time somebody drops their hard earned (or not hard earned) cash for some leather. And I bet you Guccio didn't waste his money buying luxury goods, that's why even after he's long dead, the business (now owned by Kering), makes more money per day than most people will see in a lifetime. (4.3 Billion euros/year is about 11 million euros daily) Be wise. Use your time well to buy things that will feed and educate your generations... ![]() |
What is there for CNN to apologize for? Is it defamation to say that "there is a country whose president has not stepped foot on its shores for a long time, and that country is Nigeria"? It's reporting of a fact. If we don't like being mocked, we shouldn't invite mockery. Even if Baba returns, there will forever be the fact that he was absent. This is rather unprecedented in modern history for the chief executive to be absent for so long, (and his illness undisclosed), and we should be aware of this come 2019. Forget all kinds of promises... past behaviour is the best predictor of future behaviour, and this is twice - it must be said - that the North has visited this type on nonsense on Nigeria "Anybody BUT Buhari" is my own slogan for 2019. Click like if you agree, and just ignore this post if you disagree |
BornnAgainChild:I agree, but the disease is not with the market women, it's with those who might plan to do her evil. These photo people be careful.. this is Nigeria. If next week kidnappers get the girl to use her eyes for ritual, *na your fault oh* I don't believe in rituals, but unfortunately there are those who think albino skin, or multicolored eyes will make juju stronger. There must be some Range Rover owners or Banana residents who have this girl in their sights for their next money ritual. She needs protection, so unless the photographer is willing to provide that 24/7 or move her and arrange for her upkeep, she should allow the poor girl to keep a a low profile. |
ChangetheChange:The secret cult and ritualists don't live in such houses. They live in average houses so as not to attract attention. I could never live in such oh... give me nightmares. Wetin I dey fin inside anumanu mouth? |
Chai... so painful! Words fail me... You say poison, like intentionally or mistake? Maybe generator fumes, and the baby won't have eaten the same thing as adults... hopefully you will get some answers. Our prayers are with you, your lost ones, and the ones that remain. |

vizkiz:Sadly, we train our kids to be kidnappers, agberos, wife beaters and policemen (where violence is seen as the answer to all problems) |
Klamour:He did meantion burnt boli/suya. When food is burned (even just the edge), the hydrocarbons (food is mostly carbs and hydrogen) become carcinogenic chemicals. The wood used to cook (there is wood safe to burn, and some that produce chemicals you should not injest), and the newspaper used to wrap add their own mix of toxins into the food. Taken over a lifetime, in regular doses, it's one of the many things that cause short life expectancy in Africans. Of course we have examples of old men and women who burned wood and ate boli all their lives, but we also have a ton that died in their 30s, 40s, 50s for no apparent reason - and it's being argued that many early deaths are caused by the things we take for granted. (like boli and suya) |
Evaberry:Ezi oku? O gaah oh... Talentless with 72million views of one song? Person who sings in French too, bringing Francophone Africa closer? The person that oyinbos are following her dance moves. Ok oh. Which flavour of hatorade did you sip this evening? Peach, or strawberry? |
elog:Abi oh... But I just remember that Fela said: Man get different eye for woman yansh. If he see small yansh he go say "hey! look at this big yansh" If he con see big yansh he go say "heh heh, look at this smaallll yansh" ![]() |
Nothing indecent here abeg... nature at its finest ![]() Instead make dem arrest looters and armed robbas na fine gehs dem wan disturb. ![]() |
This is a dangerous precedent. If they have been accused of a crime, let the judicial system convict and proscribe the correct punishment (which may also include the revocation of C of O). To have the executive willy nilly revoke and punish means anybody can be subject to the governor's whims. Today it's APC, tomorrow it might be you. He should not forget that no condition is permanent... 6 years from now he won't be governor... |
Amarabae:Quite right, though I would adjust that to: "when a people are ITK and want development without doing development, they choose bad leaders" |
Where is the mockery? They asked a straightforward question, and if e pain us, we should remember this in 2019 |
I need a reliable and functional brand with easily available parts and cheap to fix. Still stylish but not too expensive in each class. Toyota all the way. I don't want a Benz that costs somebody's school fees to repair common water pump |
datola:The law does not apply to _being_ gay, it applies to acting on it, and in this context she hasn't ![]() Unless the law applies to people saying they're gay, which I don't think it does. I'm glad she's reporting it, and this driver is going to get punished in some way for his misconduct. |
Who invited the MTN (a foreign company) to bid for license? Who got the fee from their bid? How will MTN pay their shareholders and senior executives, who are based in South Africa? How can MTN pay for the equipment it uses, and the link arrangements with fibre and satellite companies? I don't understand why senate is making such a fuss. Companies exist to make profits, and those profits are to be used and moved as the company sees fit. Why are we blaming MTN for doing what is normal and regular? ![]() If you don't like their practices, don't do business with them. It's not like they are a monopoly (thank God). If gov't wants MTN to invest more in Nigeria, gov't should fix its own infrastructure so that it makes business sense. It can also give incentives that encourage more Nigerian companies to provide such services. The complaint about moving so much forex is a joke. EVERY foreign company eventually exchanges into its home currency (usually via dollars). How much forex you think British Airways takes back to UK everyday? Or Boeing into US? Or Toyota into Japan? Instead of aiming to be like the big boys by diversifying our economy and growing it, we're crying because somebody is taking the little we have. Misplaced priorities, senators. |
