Wetin happen? I don't see the fraud... can somebody please explain because he is being accused of buying airplanes for the airline... which we're seeing. |
Owologbo:You haven't heard of it... does not mean it doesn't happen. I have experience trouble in 3 places around Asaba. I haven't built in the following places, but I have friends and family who have built in Warri, Agbor, Ughelli, Sapele. Their stories lead me to believe it happens all over the state. |
noisy45: MrMcJay: I was about to say something similar, those boys get sense die. ![]() |
Not only Lagos oh... they are plentiful here in Delta. I am speaking from painful experiences. At the end of the day, as somebody already commented: be humble, find them small change, and no worries. The money you would have used to get police, security, or lawyer, just use this for the omo onnile tax. It's good to verify and double-secure your documents, tax, forms, etc... but 10k and a smile will work wonders. RPirez:Seconded, it's quite similar to my experiences in the smaller towns outside Asaba. I acquired a few plots, and the first sign of trouble was when people came to start breaking the building I was constructing. Or when they won't let the suppliers offload their trucks. Or when I had to settle them again before roofing. |
Our "will do" audio people have come again ![]() |
Wiseandtrue:Rather than giving to the poor who can only pray, give to smart young students that will use their ideas to start businesses that employ many. Nice one, I wish I could have enough to be philanthropic... |
(C). Just listen and let the guy vent. He will figure it out himself. |
Paid Partnership or Endorsement, what's the difference. Long story short, Tacha is being paid for association with Ciroc. She brings them an audience of Titans, they pay her for her time/face. Some journalists sef too dey carry dey do. |
joe4christ: beresponsible:Are people serious? She's like the Miriam Makeba of our times, from Bénin. I've been listening to her music since Ayé (1994). You don't remember hearing Agolo or Wombo Lombo? I used to rock this back in the day. Between Angelique and Burna, this is going to be a stiff competition, because though Angelique is the giant in this arena, with multiple wins, Burna brought his A-game to his album. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlgESq5FAx4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyMDHccQhzo |
DennisEche:I hope when the shots are ringing you won't be there trying to correct gammas ![]() But seriously, this is shocking. I sure hope people in the US don't get the idea and want to test this out for real. Sigh... nowhere is safe. |
Nobody will clean these toilets, just as nobody repairs street lights or falling electrical poles. No water to flush those toilets. No light to pump from borehole. Forget that the money will just be embezzled. They should just solve ONE thing. Light. |
And people will be asking why people don't want to trust others in their house, or with their children. That's how one househelp cleaned out my mom's prized cloths and dishes on a weekly basis, then for the finale, invited her friends to take TV, AC, and other valuables. God punish some people sha. Since then... no house help, nanny, driver, washer, and no gateman for me. They are the very ones to cause you the most headaches and put your life in danger. |
PotatoSalad:Nah mate... I'm just wondering why it's OK for random people to grope a lady because she's unclad. The argument of "she deserved it" appears to absolve men of their lack of self control. |
PotatoSalad:If you park a nice convertible car... would it be OK for passersby to reach and touch the leather of your seat headrests and maybe the radio, because the top was down? Or would you ask people keep their hands to themselves while admiring your car? |
How will she get to use this car? Does she have the money to pay for insurance and storage in Dubai, or to bring it to Naija and pay customs? Are we sure it's not a skit or movie? |
GODPUNISHALABI: Timileyin1234:If the choice is between a name of no meaning forced upon your ancestors, or one that you adopt because of its deep meaning that you can give to your descendants, I'd choose the latter. oz4real83:Fully agree. |
Funny... upon all the pant stealing, them never hammer. ![]() |
Nice one... we don't too often have long-term love in our videos. Love the chemistry between these two in the videos. Just the two of them in the video. Love the concept. |
So it's now fashionable to bring Nigeria craze and fight with security in Dubai ba? If not for the money Nigerians spend in Dubai, they would have cancelled our visas long ago. SMH |
Nice one jare. Not bashing our girls, but the world is full of eligible women. Notin do you. ![]() But you didn't ask for women with brains, heart, loyalty, kindness... just physical attributes. Don't complain if in two years you break up oh. A word is enough for the wise. |
VicThory: k2money:Agreed. Fundamentally, tbills track inflation. So it's good because it indicates inflation is coming down, which is good news for everybody (consumers and investors). Ideally, it should hover around 3%. Investors: since tbills track inflation, it really is just a way to preserve your purchasing power. The rate itself doesn't matter, but it might cause people to seek better returns by starting business or investing in stocks (instead of parking their money). Consumers: well, it means the costs of goods shouldn't rise as dramatically over the next 12 months. Shouldn't, but this being Nigeria... Businesses: the cost of borrowing should also go down because all these interest rates move in tandem - albeit at different offsets to the base inflation rate. In addition, CBN has EgunMogaji2:Yes, for retired folks like EgunMogaji2, it can be a mixed bag... ideally his retirement income from tbills should be indexed to inflation, but we know prices of goods and services always ratchet up in Nigeria... though he should still benefit from the slower pace of inflation. In theory. |
TissuePaper:Shuo... must she do anything with the money? Speaking for myself, if I won that money, I would not spend a single Naira of it... just straight into tbills and earn 2.7M in interest annually (9% on 30M per year)*. What else would I do that would guarantee my principal? I can always pay rent or buy land with the interest. Imagine that. Then I would keep hustling; use my new found fame to earn more income, all the while knowing I can never lose my 30M in the bank. *Annoyingly CBN just crashed the interest on tbills to 8.93% today. |
SendAbroad:Talk to your bank. To be clear, banks can broker tbills for you (not talking about fixed deposits). I would suggest going through them first so you gain experience with it before going with a broker. There are many threads on here about treasury bills. |
Goodbloke:Abi now? Anybody proposing a business should post it here (instead of DM). If it's legit and vetted publicly, they will have even more investors. |
Buy tbills. 600k x 12% annually is 72k without any further work, every year, and that 600k will remain there as principal. No business risk, no omonile, no story with hire purchase, no fuel shortage, no herdsmen, no bad harvest, etc to affect this income stream. Now go and keep working/hustling to get another 600k. |
I don't know why people still trust these so-called "travel agents." It's quite simple: save up money in bank. Apply by yourself to the embassy of your choice. The primary criteria they look for is that you have enough money to support yourself and won't abscond once you get there; everything else is dressing. All the information you need is available on the Internet. No travel agent can influence the immigration officers or "make your application more appealing". I can't believe that somebody who has a car to sell is broke. What of those whose only possession is a worn out mattress? You can do many things with that money. We complain there's no money, no jobs, yet many people are hustling and smiling to the bank, doing legit work. The money that took him to Dubai, wasn't it Nigerians that made it? In Nigeria? |
Nice one... this town would be an absolutely great place to live if well developed. Not into a sprawl, but with a nice masterplan. |
Sad to say this, but I was able to find this rule on an old edit of the wikipedia page dating to 2011. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Divisibility_rule&oldid=444096816 I'm not sure what's going on. This has really dampened my enthusiasm from earlier on when I wrote: [s]This is utterly amazing. It's not an easy rule to derive, but once you realize it. Brilliant. Basically, take the first N numbers (all but the last), then sum those with the last number times 5 e.g. 938. 93 + 8 x 5 = 133 13 + 3 x 5 = 28 (which we know is 7x4) But going further, I wondered if you'll eventually arrive at 7. 2 + 4 x 5 = 42 4 + 2 x 5 = 14 1 + 4 x 5 = 21 2 + 1 x 5 = 7 This guy is an absolute genius! [/s] |
NonFarmPayrol:How much is he really keeping after all costs? You're telling me he used that initial 1.9M to get 2 more cars (via profits), and he consistently makes 80k a week total profit (after fuel, etc)? If so I'm impressed, for that is rare in my experience. |
Alright alright... can't wait for this one to be exposed too* It's like these people are just crying out to be arrested with all these posts. I can't even take them seriously anymore. I'm even beginning to wonder if EFCC has already contacted these people and is forcing them to expose themselves in exchange for a lighter prosecution or something. What's going on? *I didn't say he's a yahoo oh... just that based on the past few months of casting, one has ones doubts. |
Multiplier7: ursullalinda:Please read the post more closely. The Niger State governor has decided to do it himself, even as PMB announced that states will get no refunds for working on federal roads. And Niger is not a particularly wealthy state. |
ITbomb:I get tired of this "lazy Nigerian youths". You think it's easy hustling from one venue to another, making appearances, getting outfits and makeup done, posting on IG? It's a business man. Sponsors, advertisers, marketers, venues; all are paying for each view of Tacha. Security being hired, agents and lawyers being retained, cars being purchased, fuel being bought, hairdressers being employed, outfits being aquired, you think it's all for free? This woman is on call nearly 24/7, doing deals, negotiating appearances, contracts, and making it look like play. It's work man. If she doesn't work, nobody will feed her; she has found her niche and our country has enough money to pay her for it. There's a serious business going on and many people are being gainfully employed. Look beyond the façade of glamour and "entertainment". |
