It would have been easier for them to so or more in less than 10 years if PDP had fixed only electricity in their 16 years of thieving and misrule.

Nigeria has no foundation of good things therefore it will be difficult for any government to achieve much.
First of all, who is PDP and who is APC? With all the carpet crossing, I can't tell who is from which side originally again. The parties have different logos, but the same objective: loot.

Second, like play like play APC will have its own 16 years... I hope we will still not be blaming the logos instead of looking at the real issue of our leaders.

Ha hah hah.... please let me know when the "will receive" becomes "have received in full".
Also, is the airtime going to be on MTN? grin grin

How many African leaders have lived a full life and died in Africa... very very small number. They all get old/sick and die abroad. Even that hospital abroad could not save their life after all.

Why not do good for your own people so when it's your time, you can leave with fulfillment?

This is one of those nonsense news. Do you know how many Nigerians travel to and from South Africa daily? Take picture of two busloads and claim it's Xenophobia. If some people are returning for that reason, well hopefully they won't be coming back to experience kidnappers, skull miners, herdsmen, SARS, trigger-happy police, or fake drug peddlers.

I tire for Buhari o....all my life, I have never seen a man who doesn't even take responsibility for anything!

Una sure say na him born those children, abi na corruption dey responsible?
You know you're right... He has been singing that same song for as long as I can remember... at least I remember hearing "corruption" in 1983 when I was a small boy. He has been part of the same series of governments and institutions that normalized corruption. We say IBB was a maradonna, but I think the real trickster is Buhari. He fools everybody into thinking he is different, yet people and circumstances around him reveal he is no different.

I'm still stung by the fact that he held up Ganduje's hand in support, in spite of the glaring evidence of corruption in the latter. In addition to other things, this was the straw that broke this camel's back. So anything he said from now on is not worth listening to. History will remember him as the great hypocrite.

This man has gotten away with every negative thing he has done by uttering the magic word "corruption".
His ineptitude, mediocrity, bigotry, cluelessness, dishonesty, theiving are all excused by his zombie supporters once he says "corruption was the cause"
Your comment is very insightful, and very true. All he has to say is "corruption" and suddenly all his failings fade away. He really does have our mumu button.

It's 4 months into the second term, and I cannot still see any improvement. Usually they say things will get worse before they get better... We've already gotten the worse section from 2015-2019... when is the better section going to start?

A friend told me that a particular inter city bus driver will tell the passengers not to eat inside his bus.
One day he stopped and excused himself to go and wee wee to come back and perceived some food. Asked and everybody kept quiet. He went outside. End of journey.
A young woman later admitted and she has not finished eating.
The man told her to get down. Or no movement.
Everybody went down to beg this man. Took time for him to agree but she has to throw the remaining inside trash bin. He said his bus isn't restaurant or your house. It's only meant to carry passengers. Obey his rule or don't enter cheesy
Good one... a bit severe, but it's needed as people will just spill food anyhow and throw their trash anywhere in the bus.

I have to wonder if this is one of those "doing something risky in public" porn videos (or some other dare) or was made to do so for some other purpose; but if not... well, hopefully she gets treated.

Because I have nothing better to do this night, I went sleuthing. My best guess is this happened in the Dominican Republic.

1. First clue: language in use: "mira la botella" - "look at the bottle". So Spanish.
2. Second clue: Presidente beer... made in the DR (though also exported elsewhere so not a solid clue)
3. Third clue: License plates look like DR plates, based on number and the small mark at top left in the pictures below.

And the prefixes also match a certain pattern: "L" for pickup truck, "G" for SUVs. See:

There is nothing odd about dropping trash on the floor of the bus. That's how it should be. Ideally, these buses should have a waste paper basket but in the absence of one, you drop the trash on the bus. When the bus gets to the park, the bus boy sweeps the bus.
Nah mate... bring a poly and hold your trash please. That's the same excuse people use for throwing their trash on the ground. You make trash, take it home or where you can dispose of it without being a nuisance please. Do you know there are no trash bins on buses in New York or Tokyo? Yet they are immaculate.

People trying to steal your phone from your pocket while you're trying to catch small sleep. angry
Those who will want to tell you their life story.
Those who want to stop and piss every 10 minutes, but they will still drink from that big bottle.
Those who know that the bus stop is at such-and-such a place, but want to get down in middle of nowhere.

If I was a driver, I swear two rules: bring food before you enter, and plan to piss once or twice at scheduled times.

Literature › Re: A Note From A Very Weary Editor To Male Writers About BOOBS by nextstep(m): 4:30pm On Sep 09, 2019
Because I have nothing better to do this afternoon, I'll reply. My retort is: the author is wrong. I mean she only has experience with one set of
boobs - hers - unlike some men who've interacted with a few hundred in their lifetime grin grin . Here are my own (hilarious?) counters.

1) Women's breasts ARE communication devices. They say: "I want to mate", or "I don't really want a partner, but I'm looking for validation that I'm sexy". Why (even in the name of fashion) would cleavage be so controversial or interesting for men and women?

2) If no man mentioned or looked at a woman's breast all day, believe me, she will start wondering if something was wrong with her.

3) Although it's true few women will come to a spiraling climax from anyone grabbing them, they do enjoy being caressed as it enhances their pleasure. I said caressed, not mauled.

4) Inspite of what anybody says, boobs are always arranged for personal approval. See 2.

5) I agree with this point: do not mention breasts in a professional context, unless of course your job is about breasts: like a doctor, underwear designer, etc.

6 & 7). Breast do not have musculature that's true; but they are surrounded by pectoral muscles and a rib cage that many a woman find useful to push out her breasts, or do some other thing to call attention, or indicate excitement. Also nipples and breast are full of blood vessels that can induce visible changes.

In summary, for somebody who doesn't want us to talk about it, it's ironic that her hilarious tweet is full of boob and breasts...

OK, time for me to go and find something else to do this afternoon.

So that Nigerian government will simply proceed to ruin all of the companies it nationalizes, abi. Refer to Nigerian Airways, Ajaokuta Steel, NEPA, and NITEL for examples of how well the government ruins, er, runs industry, and see if it makes any sense.

A government cannot provide for its own people, so they leave seeking greener pastures, subject to insults, and now death. Now the same government want to chuck hand into companies that provide employment and benefits to Nigerians. Mtchew. Then after wasting oil money and stealing contracts for a decade or so, they will sell the assets to their cronies at bargain prices.

Concrete doesn't stop erosion. They make the land less fertile.

To stop erosion, ban tree cutting and plant more trees at erosion prone areas. Anything else is patch patch.
Tell that to developed countries, where they use concrete to stop erosion and control floods.

But you're right about tree-cutting. Erosion is being aggravated by lack of trees, and we should be encouraging more tree planting to stem it.

Here we go again... a state in Nigeria is doing a lot to tackle erosion and flood - an issue that affects most states. Instead of us to appreciate the engineering (for instance the terraced gutter that cuts the velocity of water, or the young plants being grown to stem erosion), two people have started trading "my dick is bigger than yours" rubbish.
