thanks pls how can I get an affordable doctor there?please can you help me.
Elpaso hospital is running an advert on Nairaland using their agent doctorparati. Check it up. Also try and use the search key on nairaland and find out more about the hospitals, bills, doctors in Elpaso and there's also Mhis in Phoenix. Lots of people here have used the hospitals. I hope they also respond to your questions as well.

Hello everyone, thanks so much for the update and may our babies bring joy to us in Jesus name.I have two things to ask here, when I got my Visa in Dec I was still expecting my monthly flow but eventually it did not come, hence I was pregnant.Do I need to write a mail to the embassy and how do I go about it?Secondly I have someone in North Carolina Charolette to be precise but she's not giving feedback about doctor I can use all she keep sayings is when you get here it will be sorted and I don't want any issue at Poe coming from JFk and
Why don't you make an alternative arrangement like going to Phoenix or Elpaso. Don't go there now and feel incapacitated and end up using medicaid. It's always better to have an idea of what your bills are before embarking on the journey. Some of these our families and friends in the States act somehow sometimes. After delivery, you can go to the person's house.

[font=Lucida Sans Unicode]Thank you deres5.I know about the danger of the mom using medicaid. I am actually asking of the eligibility of the baby to use medical insurance for example NICU etc.
Both you and your baby are not entitled to medicaid, however, you can apply for a 6 month pay off of your accrued bills from the NICU. When you guys come back, find a means of offsetting your bills from Nigeria. All the best!

(CNN)When Longmont, Colorado, police officers Billy Sawyer and Phil Piotrowski responded to a 911 call from a pregnant woman who was stabbed and had her fetus ripped out, they weren't prepared for what they would see.

"She was covered from head to toe in blood," Sawyer told CNN affiliate KDVR. "So I put some gloves on and held her hand and went through where her injuries were ... trying to figure out exactly what we had."

Michelle Wilkins was weak and in shock when the officers arrived.

"I started yelling and Michelle yelled back, very faintly, and it was muffled -- 'Help me! Help me!'" Sawyer said.

The grisly cutting of the fetus from Wilkins began when she responded to a Craigslist ad about baby clothes for sale.

Pregnant woman stabbed after answering Craigslist ad 02:03
The 26-year old Wilkins, who was seven months' pregnant, arrived at the seller's home Wednesday in Longmont. Stabbed in the stomach and bleeding, Wilkins called 911.

The scene was almost too much for Piotrowski to bear. He had to take a moment to collect himself.

"When I walked in and looked at her for a short moment, I actually had to walk out for a second because my head wasn't able to wrap around it."

Still, given what the 26-year-old woman had endured, it left him impressed.

"She is probably one of the strongest people I've ever had the pleasure to meet," Piotrowski said.

Michelle Wilkins' uncle Chris Wilkins said, "She's alive because professional first responders execute perfectly." But Piotrowski believes Wilkins is the one who "saved her own life."

The fetus died, but the mother survived and "is improving minute by minute, hour by hour," according to Chris Wilkins. She's reported to be in critical but stable condition.

Dynel Lane, 34, a former nurse aide, is being held on $2 million bail while prosecutors weigh charges against her, including murder. Lane is accused of stabbing Wilkins and removing a female fetus. The murder charge would reportedly depend on whether the fetus was old enough to have lived outside of her mother's body.

In a statement obtained by KDVR, Michelle Wilkins' family says, "We cannot begin to fathom the depths of depravity and evil which drove her attacker, and trust that between law enforcement and our legal system; they will make sure justice is carried out."

I have used it in a store in the US on some occasions and it swiped and paid for the things I bought but most times, it asks for my pin.

If you actually live in that axis or do drive through the place of incident you will know that the police left their primary assignment that day because Gej was in lagos Island... There use to be Rrs vehicle parked there with enough officers on ground... So I blame it on Gej presence in marina
That Ikoyi bridge toll gate is owned by Lagos State govt/ Tinubu. They are the ones who collect millions daily from the bridge. The bridge is also manned by the police and all of a sudden , they were no where to be found on the day of robbery. Fashola/Tinubu must tell Nigerians what happened on that day! How come his police officers left their post for the robbers to to have easy access? Fashola and Tinubu must tell Lagosians what actually transpired on that day!

@Ochioraumu, it's well dear. Don't bother yourself reapplying again. Concentrate on having your baby and afterwards, apply for a Canadian visa and the UK visa Travel there for a vacation and relax yourself wella.

Then you can try USA visa again if you wish. They might give you. All the very best . A child who has been destined to be great will be great irrespective of where he or she was born. I wish your baby the very best this life can offer her.

You might not be allowed in. I went with my mum but didn't get in with her as they insisted I wasn't needed even though I filled the form for her. She went in with every necessary documents but none was asked for eventually. She was given a 2 year multiple.

Just prepare her with the necessary documents in case the VO asks for them. She will be fine.

I don't know why she was sent back mainly but she didn't have a return ticket and some other reasons coupled too because the immigration officers attended to only her for about 2 hours while others were on the queue, obviously they had her time well well, at some point they started making phone calls and told her to wait aside, i've never experienced such at Heathrow so I started prayers b4 they will say no pregnant woman will enter. But I really don't know why some people won't buy return ticket when you aren't going to study huh
Apparently, she didn't plan to return . It may not be true but that's what her actions indicated.

Why do we Nigerians like complicating things for ourselves and other genuine ones? Why do we derive pleasure in lies? Can't we try and be honest in our dealings and hope for the best? Truth is the sure way please.

That $29 plan na bad market. You won't use it to call naija for long before the int'l call is exhausted grin. You will have to keep recharging with $10 and you will eventually spend more than the $50. I signed up for the $49 monthly plan and it served well.
Please what about wakanow.com sim card? Who has used it and was it okay for international calls?

Ochioraumu:
Hello everybody.
I have been following conversations in this forum for some time now. I found useful information that helped me in making a decision about going to El Paso to have my baby. However, I had the biggest blow of my life yesterday at Chicago. They put me through a tough time, and eventually stamped on my passport(visa cancelled with prejudice), and sent me home immediately. I got to Germany and missed my flight due to long cue at the security. Now am stuck there, waiting till 11:00am tomorrow before I can start going back to Naija.
My head is turning round and round. I don't know what do now. I don't even understand what that statement means. I've searched in this forum, but I've only seen, cancelled without prejudice. Please can someone tell me the difference.
My story goes like this:

I need urgent reply PLEASE!
So sorry for what you went through at the POE. However, I found some of the things you stated as part of the reasons why you suffered such a fate.
1. Why was your husband not in full support and backing of you delivering in the US? Is he an illegal immigrant?
2. Why did you depend so much on an uncle when you could have gotten much needed information here?
3. You should have used another doctor instead of this doctorparati thing. We have been reliably informed they are agents not medical doctors. If you had a direct contact with a doctor, I am sure a phone call to him would have saved you from this wahala.

This experience of yours will serve as a lesson to a lot of us here and help one to prepare adequately.
I pray you find favour in your future visa application. Hugs

After elections, a lot of people will lose their jobs because of uncouth and insulting comments on social media.

Some people just do not know where to draw the lines. Let those who collect their salaries from their respective political parties do the talking while you simply observe. I cannot lose my sleep, my job and my precious time over any political party.
