same thing happen to my car on Monday, when i took it to my ac guy he confirm the compressor was gone and one of the fan too but thank God condenser was stil intact...my brother i spent over 50k to fix it
Not to make you doubt ur technician.. But what convinced you that your compressor was gone.?

I had an experience, weeks back, the Ac was not blowing....

I used my layman knowledge of AC N its parts, I opened the hood of car, start engine, put on ac, everything seemed fine, fan was working... Coolant intact.

... but I noticed the compressor wasn't rolling, yeah the belt was rolling quite all right, but compressor was not working.

Now the same issue happened like a year earlier, where the AC expert @ Ogba said the compressor was gone.... Where the compressor was changed.. N all...

So fast forward, I concluded too that the compressor was bad even without going based on the signs...

On Monday, instead of going to Ogba, I went to a young AC chap who helps me if I need to top up the gas...

Dude brought his guage n all, told me it wasn't gas, I said I know grin, that it's compressor.

Dude said no.. That my compressor is good... huh Said it was a swtich/ relay that's not bringing power to the compressor.

Guy fixed it, n AC jumped back to how it's been working.

My epistle is... I believe if I had gone to Ogba, the supposed AC expert will Def condemn the compressor, making the work look so big so that he can justify the charges.... I'm glad I had a rethink that day.

@ Baz 001.

Its good you are concerned. Covid thing is everywhere...

I hv been off the radar since last week. Last Friday was d last tym I worked on d app. Getting better though,

After every trip, if it allows it, wind down all windows n allow fresh air for at least 5 mins.

The bane of this work is that enclosed space one shares with all and sundry.

I am new to Uber. I want to get a HP for a Toyota Corolla tokunboh.
Price of car is 2.3m
HP is 4m.
Weekly remittance: 25k

Told the owner 4m is too much.

I am asking the house, was I right or is that price (4m) what is obtainable?
You are right, but look for rental.

I'm suspecting it's Abuja. Forget it, the market there is overhyped.

On Uber / Bolt, it's almost impossible.. You are a newbie too.

If you are tired, drive down to shoprite n Park inside. Before the free 1 hour elapses, you should have gotten a trip.

if no trip yet, paying ₦200 for parking is far better than giving a thieving towing van and it's officials thousands of naira.

As per the guy doing 800 trips..... I don't believe it

But I believe the 1 million gross. Very possible, if you have the backing of a machine/ app.

I think Bolt has an arrangement with him.

Also two people using the account is highly possible.

Thirdly, Bolt has geofenced him to trips only on the island/ Lekki axis.. Anywhere he goes, his ID has been given precedence over all other drivers. Regardless of their status on the queue.

He gets the next closest / available trip whenever
he is around, iPhone 6s, 4gb ram , modem or whatever gadgets other drivers use notwithstanding .

1 million gross in a month from driving shocked. Nawa o.

Since you have reported the incident to bolt or better still report to nearest police station, you are covered.
You don't have to ignore their calls. It will make things seems fishy. Stand on your word each time they call you, if it's resulting in threats, hang up. But don't ignore their calls. They will look elsewhere for it
Thanks boss.

Just as the as IFSHR says, report yourself first to the police station and as well, the police should make attempt to invite the person involved and if possible record the threat before going to the station as evidence. Police can change it for you based on how you present your case and who money long pass, so b mindful, but don't take any threat in this hustle as mere words.
Thanks Boss.

Seniors ,pls advise me on this case.

Rider A.
I picked a rider up and dropped the rider at his location, BTW. the rider had two female companions with him, they moved into a suite/ apartment

I got another short ride n he paid n I left too.

I got a third ride, on my way to complete the third trip, I got a call( that's like after an hour of dropping the first rider) from the first rider that he forgot an item in the car.

I'm sure he didn't forget any item. I told him so. Because I checked the car when I got to the destination.

Later another line called me n started threatening me about having my phone number n number plate. That I should make myself available. I told him angrily that I don't have anything to do with him.

I have reported the ride on the Bolt.app.

If the no. Calls tomorrow, I asked some people n they said I shouldn't pick such nos again. But I was countering them that, if I don't pick, won't it mean I'm avoiding them.

Seniors, pls advise.

For the newbies. As per one way.

You can't make a left turn into Oniru from Ozumba Mbadiwe if you are coming from Lekki Phase 1.

Google map will gladly lead you into the waiting arms of lastma and traffic police at the other end. grin.

BTW there is a "No Left turn sign" by the signpost ( reason why you need to be very observant).

In this case, the local signage trumps any advisory from Gmap.

Be guided.

Well anyways in the USA , I don't know about other developed countries.... You can't be driving around with no lincense plates o .. Your car will be taken away from you and your drivers lincense can be revoked.........

And u can't be driving around with smoke coming out of your tailpipe of ur car .. It means your car has either fail inspection or your car had developed issue at that currant time......

There are rules and regulations in the developed world .. You just dont enter car and enter road dey drive my brother....... Let us try to be civilized here o cool
Did you read @ all

If it's a tokunbo car, in Nigeria parlance, who is referring to an oyinbo driving it. I mean they also abuse engines too.

Let me spell it out for you. A tokunbo big daddy that was bought some days earlier.

Dude brought it to the mech workshop, car was having issues. No number plates, means it has not been registered...

Car was smoking. Even the humming was not too cool. And he bought it direct.

Even a blind man knows this vehicle came straight from the port.

And how do you likely spot a one way drive in Lagos
I am not too used to Lagos roads
Your reply would be appreciated
Thanks
Henceforth, keep your eyes open.... Watch out for erected poles, anything standing on the road ....

It still beats me how some drivers enter the one way @ ICM, and the No U turn @ Governor's road. I mean, this is big enough now. grin

Some are faded/ inconspicuous .. E.g the one at barlikisiyu Iyede road.. Harvey road that connects to Unilag ( the one way signage looks like a piece of Maggi cube on a Plate of rice)

Look further ahead when driving.... On ehailng, you must develop ur sixth sense... Esp. when you are on the mainland.

It's so sad sha. That's why I don't please any rider... Esp when it comes to traffic rules, because when the chips are down, they won't wait or beg with you.

For a long time, the stigma is going to be on her, right now, her pictures r going viral for the wrong reasons...

It might take some time for your business to start producing #100k per month with such capital at the early stage of the business depending on the business niche! Except it has to do with the supply of products! Businesses these days are facing quiet some challenges also! My best advice is that you invest the money in one of these trusted investment scheme! Atleast I know of one that there office is at Asaba, Portharcout and other parts of the country where you can invest #500k and get #85k ROI
Don't fall for any investment scheme.

How on Earth can an investment scheme promise you 50% ROI and you believe it's genuine and sustainable, in Nigeria.?
