Easyincome24: The hair cut is one of the issues here as guy man is an upcoming singer but uses his hair cut style as his own branding.
Would he need to shave it off just to look presentable?
What if afterwards the parents saw his branding elsewhere won't that look pretentious? @bolded what exactly do you mean as uses his hair cut style as branding? What type of style is he wearing ? |

Car Talk › Re: How I Was Scammed At A Fuel Station by NoToPile: 9:32am On May 07, 2021 |
Olayetan: Let me enlighten you.
This is what they do, they will set/program the exact amount you want to buy but immediately you look away from the metre, they will put back the nozzle, once they do this without completing the exact amount they have programmed, the amount will be blinking on the metre that's to tell that they haven't reached the programmed amount on the metre.
But many customers don't know so once they tell you your fuel is complete, you look at the metre and see the amount blinking, to you, you assume its complete but its not.
Normally, once they programmed an amount, and they sell it completely, the amount its supposed to be stable on the metre and not blink. Learnt a new one |

zabimaru: Welcome to the club Poco It's a normal thing these days so when you manage to find a gas station with better value for money, try to stick with them.
I have seen it all, from buying black market fuel at a gas station to buying fuel mixed with either kerosene/diesel to being scammed by putting air instead of fuel to not resetting the meter before adding the fuel.
Last scam was at NNPC gas station. Right before my very eyes, guy with a brand new 20ltrs keg bought fuel with meter reading above 24ltrs and the keg was just 3/4 full. I still bought the little that'll take me to the office.
The most dramatic was at mobil awolowo way The lady didn't reset the meter and started selling from 3k for a prepaid POS bill of 6k. I was in my suv, dressed very official with Suit, Tie and Starched shirt. Maybe that was what deceived her, she profiled me wrong.
when she was done, I calmly told her to add remaining fuel, this lady started insulting me, inviting her colleagues to come and help her out of the impending oppression. They came to her aid and were asking me silly questions. I simply alighted from the vehicle, removed my suit jacket, tie and Starched shirt and was in my white inner t-shirt.
I was ready to show them the definition of crazy. I already had my processes planned out, my plan was to grab the nozzle from her, serve myself my money's worth and anybody in the way would have had the crazy in full. That's exactly what I did and slowly drove off, no words.
Sometimes they need to understand that they cannot get away with it Everytime!
I'm so happy you acted that way, but just get there on time tomorrow and get your crazy hat on because they'll still test your ruggedity. Don't go alone, but I'd have preferred you not take the POS and resolve it immediately. They all know the drill and most of the attendants there do it so it's not new to them. when they see better crazy, they comport. |

Nicklaus619: They have used that trick on me before, and got stuck in traffic and my fuel finished in the middle of the road, chai, other angry commuters insult my life that dat I had to role my car to a road side and used keke napep with gallon to go look for fuel, it was later I went back to the filling station and slapped the living day light outa the attendance, I choked him on the neck and was pressing it hard to make sure he barely breaths, before others came and separated us and he start to confess.
This is what they do, they press the nozzle to the end and hold it tight, the nozzle will be dispensing air instead of gas, and it will read like it's dispensing gas.
What u did is what I would have done if I was in your shoes and more
Make we see who go loose las las, idiots But why would pressing the nozzle to the end bring out only air, nawaoo |

pocohantas: I told him I am not normal o. All the while we were arguing my eyes was looking for something of value. The second I saw the POS machine, I grabbed it and made for my car. He is mad!
I didn’t look at the name. It was random. Looked fine and that was it. The fact that there weren’t many public transport there should have told me something was wrong. The bolded is the key, I know all the filling stations I can buy from along my route, when I take public transport I note the filling stations those public transporters enter, those few ones are the one I buy from. The one that shocked me is on NNPC station they all avoid saying 'meter won o complete' they would rather buy from one rickety filling station opposite it ahh ' meter won pe daada' afterall nobi fancy station we won chop, na fuel we wan buy. No public transporter buying, I no dey branch. Those public transporters know it all when it come to filling stations mata. You get mind sha to pull that stunt, how they blow air is what I can't understand. |

Oladoyinipede: The way people jump on issues without taking their time to really understand the main points is worrisome.
The op's main point is that her sister's boyfriend has been feeding off her for TWO YEARS WITHOUT MAKING ANY ATTEMPT TO FIND ANY FORM OF EMPLOYMENT,NO MATTER HOW MENIAL.
For an able bodied man to be CONSTANTLY FEEDING OFF A WOMAN HE HAS NOT MARRIED AS WIFE FOR TWO YEARS only underscores one thing;HE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE.He lacks Dignity!!! There is oil in your head, at least we still have sane people on Nairaland. I wonder how some people don't see anything wrong with the bolded. |

The same boys shouting up and down this thread will not advise their own sister to feed a boyfriend twice a day. They didn't see the place the OP said he has even refused to look for menial jobs, is it not his mates that are hustling at computer village and alaba standing in the sun looking for customers to take to a shop to purchase goods and then get a cut. Why would you marry someone that doesn't have a job or have something that brings income In this present Nigeria ? |

Never knew people put framed photos of their parents in their homes, I thought it was the parents that put that of the children and grandchildren in their living room.
It sounds very strange to me, never even thought of placing my mums framed picture in the living room. I have never visited someone with their either of their parents photos framed and hung in the living room, maybe its in the bedroom as some posters have said. |

Imagine as an Anatomist, Drs are telling us that even with Msc and PhD we still need to have MBBS in order to enable us lecture in our own department in medical school. Forgetting that eminent Anatomist like Prof Keith Moore didn't even have MBBS background. It's so sad!!! Really @ bolded but why? So After having an MSc in pharmacology / anatomy/ physiology with PhD, you have to get an MBBS degree to lecture either of them only? Doesn't sound right Which school is this or is it general |
