TwinHeart:I don't think meat is allowed across the border. Maybe someone else can confirm though. |
Lynadave:If you are so worried about it, go to your local government and they'll reissue you another original copy. |
79733139:Doesn't surprise me Nigerians are up to it again, looking for every possible avenue to cheat. It's such a disappointment. Only God knows that the native French employees of Alliance Francaise say behind close doors, with all the information they have about the numerous efforts of Nigerians to cheat on the exam by having someone write it for them. |
One advice I could give anyone trying to learn French is to focus less on vocabulary. Focusing too much on vocabulary is one of the biggest mistakes beginners make when they learn a new language. The problem with learning vocabulary is that you end up never using those words you've learned. In fact, because you end up not encountering most of them in the next few days after learning them, you easily forget them. For example, say you learn the vocabulary for "cold", which is "froid", in isolation just like that, you are almost guaranteed to forget it shortly after, if you don't use it. In addition, by not knowing the context in which "froid" is used in French, you run the risk of using it wrongly or, at best, as a substitute in a literal English translation where you just replace English vocabularies with French ones. In effect, you are not really learning, but just consuming vocabulary. What's better is to learn WHOLE PHRASES, instead of vocabularies. By learning whole phrases, you achieve three things simultaneously. One is, you learn French expressions exactly as they are used by French speakers. Two is, you have a better chance of remembering what you have learned because you have context. Three is, you learn more vocabulary and sometimes even grammar. So, in this case of "froid", imagine learning "il fait froid" instead. Now, you know how French people say "the weather is cold" and you know it's not the literal "la meteo est froid", which is the literal translation from English and which is just nonsensical. In addition to that, you also know that "fait" is the conjugation of "faire" in the third person, and that sometimes "il" can be used in the impersonal sense. In any case, you learn more from that whole phrase than you would from merely learning only "froid". Now, think about applying this to several other scenarios where you can learn whole phrases with different French expressions and words. Bref, insist on learning whole phrases and fortify yourself with enough of those. That's the best way to greatly improve your knowledge of the language and ultimately your confidence. |
bjd09:Be more explicit. What exactly are you having problem with? Which component of the IELTS exam and what exactly in that component? |
LegendHero:eloped ke? All this illiterate newspapers |
Rido007:Was looking at the same thing. Likely it's just biometrics completed |
RickyJesus:I tell people this. Your best option is to find remote work in Nigeria where you earn in dollars or euro. That's your best option. And preferably move to a country like Rwanda eventually that may be able to accommodate you under a work visa. |
TwinHeart:Go and ask in "Living in Canada" thread |
TheGiftedOne:Learn about USDT. What you are holding is toxic asset. Even the tether organisation doesn't have 1:1 assets to back USDT. You guys holding USDT are all going to burn one day. I said it. |
hunee:As someone living in Canada, I wish others would see this message and take it seriously, rather than looking at it and thinking its sole purpose is to discourage. Firstly, trying to japa to Canada on a visit visa is a very bad idea that should never be done. I know most won't still listen though, but I'm sure if you ask those who followed that process, they'll tell you never to try it. Doesn't matter if they are in a better position today, they know that things could have turned out differently. They can only count on luck. And even if you are japaing on a PR visa, which is the better idea, caution still needs to be exercised. The country is not a bed of roses and you may never have the life you had back in Nigeria. Things are expensive, so expensive that these days, even earning 100k CAD per annum may not cut it, if you are living in Toronto. You'll just see yourself throwing money into different kinds of furnaces each month. This is a project that needs to be very well assessed before it is undertaken. |
LesPieux:That's an air france flight that just left lagos. Didn't take Niger. Reliable airlines like AF have likely worked this into their schedules already so that they don't experience delays or cancellations.

ednut1:my brother, same here man! Only got 45%. It's just crazy. The thing be like magic, even though no be first time I dey see am. |
This Canada tax matter is one a whole 'nother level ![]() I thought I saw taxes in Nigeria, but that was nothing compared to Canada's. Omo! Those working in corporate Canada are trying. |
LesPieux:Just travel with any reliable airline like AirFrance or KLM. Yes, Niger airspace may be blocked, but reliable airlines already have a route around Niger that doesn't encroach the country's airspace. But if you want to be super careful, then take United. United may go from Chicago O'Hare or any other hub will will go straight over the Atlantic through Senegal to Nigeria. There'll be no need to go through Niger. |
Eriokanmi:Clearly, they needed to re-interview a lot of people, possibly due to perceived security issues that some people, for whom interviews had been waived, needed additional checks. My guess is they wanted to weed out a few unscrupulous elements. Was out of the country by then anyways, and only applied for renewal from Canada. |
Eriokanmi:It's simple. I had the visa already shortly before they stopped dropbox. And at some point moved to Canada where I also didn't have to go to the embassy. Only needed to send by Canada post to their office and it returned with a 10-year visa. |
No ITAs? There was a draw today. 535 |
Nwodosis:For a body that is likely burnt beyond recognition? Are you sleeping? |
Nigerianmigrant:Yes, Unilag HRDC counts for WES. Search the thread for those who have done it. |
izibili44:There's no direct flight from Nigeria to any part of Canada. Doesn't exist. |
Again, another misplaced priority for a police force that understands nothing about freedom of expression. They are gently advancing their objective of silencing critics on social media, while they leave out politicians who are stealing the nation blind. How on earth did Nigeria ever deserve this justice system that has no regard for humanity!? |
Madukachase:I will quote you. Technically, you don't need travel history to visit any country. No embassy asks that you have travel history before you apply for their visa. However, it is a non-written rule that you need travel history to guarantee your visas to places like the US or Canada. In fact, if you have traveled to the US before and returned and not violated any of their country laws, you don't need to visit any US embassy again in your life to renew your visa. The last time I was at the US embassy was over 10 years ago. Since then, I just send my passport by mail for them to stamp a renewal on it. Also, if you have travlled to the US before and returned, Canada won't even take more than 1 month to process your visit visa. It's almost automatic as long as your documents check out. On the contrary, if you are applying with a virgin passport, prepare to wait as long as 3-4 months. So, yes, there's an unwritten rule that travel history counts a lot. |
angie88:Is it their first visa? Are they using a Nigerian passport? |
chimzyblack:Don't even try it. What makes you think IRCC recognizes USDT? USDT is no official currency of any nation. It's just an agreement among crypto-holders and traders that it exchanges for 1 USDT to 1 USD. Nothing more. In fact, if you know the true history of USDT, you will know that the Tether organization itself does not have enough assets backing USDT. In summary, it's all an illusion. In any case, if you want to use your USDT. Move it into Naira first and foremost using Binance P2P. Then go to aboki and change it to USD, which you can then put in a domicilliary account, which you can then present as POF. The good fortune you have is that aboki rate and binance rate are very close, so you won't really lose much. If you are worried about keeping the money in a Nigerian bank, push it into Risevest or STanbic Dollar mutual fund. You will likely get the same rate, so you won't lose much. Then present your Risevest or STanbic Mutual Fund letter. The nice thing with this approach is that you may not need to cash out until you move to Canada, and you can have Risevest or Stanbic Dollar Mutual Fund move these funds into a US or Canada bank, though that will likely come at high transfer fees. |
Negroid001:You are just using reverse psychology to make yourself feel good. If you are so sure about the score, then stop watching the game. Go and sleep. |
Seun:Nigeria's midfield is just woeful. The defence appears to be holding pretty well, but it's getting threatened too often and it's only a matter of time before it breaks. Nigeria's attack is also non-existent. |
Agunesinjaweola:Shut up |
Iseoluwani:You dey craze. What's scam about it? |
