Their response has to be crafted by a lawyer on behalf of the company and in extension the bank.

They can’t just talk anyhow.
That doesn't mean they should say they have no information. They had. It was better to say they'll put out a statement in due time. We know they trying to be careful and professional. Not that they have no information.

A sad reflection of the Nigerian society. A Professor of Law on the last professional step does not even earn as much as a graduate trainee in Mobil or Shell, and you expect Nigeria to do any better? This is joke!

In my own little opinion, regardless of the nature of his business as a self employed applicant after submitting all evidences, I believe someone of his type without a strong economic tie (like investments, fixed assets e.t.c.) may have a chance if he could utilize his family tie (wife and kids) with his wife's proof of income( like work ID and payslips). If the spouse has a very good and stable job and earns well, coupled with a letter of consent from the spouse, the application may fly for approval i.e if the "HIDDEN REASON" for his refusals isn't on his Pakistan travel history. There are some countries that are high risk to western embassies like Afghanistan, Yemen, Iraq, e.t.c and I don't know if Pakistan is inclusive.

Again, on another side, 9 million may be low as POF as a family man (I am just raising another concern). You have a wife and kids. The VO doesn't know what your spouse is doing so the cost of your family's wellbeing is assumed on the 9m. Cost of ticket is almost 3m which makes you have 6m left. Your hotel booking (we don't know the number of days to spend in Canada that was indicated), cost of food and other miscellaneous expenses in Canada will make it totalled over 5M+....you want to spend these on visit when your personal business isn't that elaborate and you also have a family. That is why I do advice those applying as a self employed applicant with "I patch it business documents" to not indicate more than 7 days of stay in Canada if going as a tourist, except your business is grounded and elaborate and you have proof to back it up, of course.

Above all, GRACE matters. Shalom!!!
Honestly, if I were the embassy, I'll also reject his application. Can he tell us in truth that he won't stay back in Canada? His going for a visit alone? Why's the wife not going with him? It's a straight decline.

Your profile is very, very consistent with people who leave with a visit visa and never return. Your economic ties are certainly not strong. What's the nature of your self-employment exactly? What says you can't stay back in Canada and have someone else be running your business back in Nigeria? What exactly necessitates your coming back to your own business? Because it looks like if you left, that business can still survive. Hence, no real economic ties.

For people who have passed TEF/TCF while maintaining a full-time job, what is a realistic time frame for someone like me who just started learning French around 3 months ago on Duolingo app?
Don't waste your time on that duolingo app. It will do nothing for you except make you feel you are learning, when in fact you are just playing a game. Get a real study / grammar book and study more intensely and strategically. Listen to actual podcasts, french radio, or slow french which are available on several listening channels like spotify, itunes, anchor, etc. Be more strategic about your studying.

I should have gotten ITA because my CRS score is more than good enough but FUTA is delaying me. I paid to have my transcript sent on their online portal to WES since 17th November 2023 and more than 2 months after, nothing.

Please is there any one who knows a student or staff of FUTA whom I can contact to help me check up on my transcript application?
Nothing stops you from getting ITA without having a physical copy of your transcript. Only when you are submitting your application do you need an actual physical copy of your transcript and other documents.

Je me demande pourquoi les Nigérians ne prennent pas ça au serieux, vu qu'ils sont entourés par des pays francophones. Well, at least for those who want to. That surprises me, quite! All it takes is scheduling some time to spend in Benin republic to immerse oneself a little bit and get it going.

To be honest even outside the country the hustle continues but the difference is you see the results of your hardwork. You can plan stuff, work towards them and actually see the results manifesting but it's a whole different scenario in Nigeria. People who are still getting married and giving birth to Nigerian born children are some of the bravest human beings on earth.
Exactly! Couldn't have put it any better. The hustle is probably harder abroad sef, because there's less immediate support from family. Not everything that appears glittering is gold.

Pls how is life in new Brunswick when it comes to getting job especially for spouse that has been branch operations banker for 5 years on SOWP while wife, the student attends uni of New Brunswick.

Thanks alot
This is a question that is too specific. Nobody can have an answer for you. I'm recommend you go online and do your own personal research. Generally, Canada has good opportunities for bankers. Don't just expect to start at the same level that you were in Nigeria. The opportunities thin terribly as you go up in Canadian banks.

I am a skilled certified auto technician not road side mechanic oh..

I mean I fix only luxury cars.. like diagnosis, computerized scanning, Air conditions, wheel alignment and balancing, key and ecu programming, etc about cars except body work and upholstery...

I just want too ask any one here that have been there what are my chances of surviving there. And as times goes on would love too change career path too business and schooling over there..

Any advice for me pls
Your chances of surviving are here. Being an auto technician is a valuable skill that can put you in good shape in Canada, especially if you manage to start your own business.

Yes you can get into the pool, but you just won't fill in any details about ielts and ECA because you don't have them and your score will be so low you will likely never receive ITA. There's just no window under which it will be possible to receive ITA.

I believe the era of working and studying to pay fees and living expenses without external financial support is not currently feasible in Canada. Given the current challenges in finding jobs for newcomers and the high cost of living, only very few students manage to secure jobs, while residents and citizens also face difficulties in finding or changing jobs
Let's face it, there's really no time when that was recommended action. Anyone headed to Canada or any advanced nation for that matter, thinking that they could study and work at the same time to exclusively fund their studies are in for a rude shock. That's the exact reason you must state to the embassy that you have your proof of funds. Even the embassy don't want you working to fund your studies. The only thing working while studying should do for you is earn you enough money to complement what you already have. And you must have enough already. Coming to Canada or anywhere else to pay tuition fees in the range of tens of thousands of dollars, while catering for living expenses in the same range of tens of thousands of dollars, and hoping that working will take care of all of that, is just suicide in waiting.

Good day Fam,

Please I need your advice.

I have completed my ITA application but I will be traveling out of Nigeria by 5th Feb and I may be in different locations/countries in the next 2months due to Job while my family remains in Nigeria.

Can I go ahead to submit my application now?
Can myself and family do both Biometric & Medicals in different countries?

And is it necessary I raise webform whenever I get to a new location?

Kindly advise.
Thank you
Absolutely. You can go ahead and submit your application, as long as you have provided all the required information up to the point of submission
Yes, you can do biometrics and medicals in different countries. Doesn't matter. Go to IRCC website and you will see the approved hospital list for each country.
You can raise a webform anywhere you are. That's location independent. The webform is not going to ask you what location you are present in.

If you are unsure about where to keep your money, I highly recommend starting with Simplii for 6% promotional interest rate for 5 months!

Use my referral link https://blue.mbsy.co/6CJTBW and get $50 when you fund the accounts with at least $100.

You can also earn sweet $400 by opening a chequing account and making it your salary account. All details on the page linked above.

All the best! 💥💥
High time many newcomers to Canada start seeing the value offered by online banks like Tangerine, Simplii, etc, who don't charge monthly banking fees, offer attractive interest rates, while still being insured by the CDIC like any other brick and mortar bank.

study for your bsc Nigeria and do your masters abroad. Your parents can start saving in USD for that. Alot of people today are embarking on abroad study when they or their parents can’t afford it. Economy is also not smiling and many are unable to work and gather their tuition.
See examples below. Bewise
These are all mostly just soft life Nigerian ladies who can't work as international students while paying their fees. Hard-working Nigerian men and women who are students are not doing this rubbish. The only people doing it are the nail-painting, Maldives-vacationing, soft life women who won't dare to go wait tables to make up their tution fees. They then go to gofundme and start requesting for tens of thousands of pounds, most of which will not go directly to the tuition, but to maintaining their soft life. If they can't work as student, they should return back home to Nigeria. Or didn't they prove to the embassy that they could totally fund their studies abroad? This gofundme is turning gradually into a pandemic and should be curbed quickly at this early stages by simply ignoring these women.

Mine was 40k naira. I remember vividly collecting my offer letter and seeing that figure. I had just finished NYSC and was excited to start a new chapter in my life. I was actually super excited about the salary, because it was my first and I could start claiming independence from my parents little by little. In some months, that figure changed to 100k with a promotion, and this too while I was still doing NYSC. Today, the figure is now well over 5-figures in USD per month. Looking back, I have no ounce of regret regarding how I started.

Hello House,

Is it possible to obtain Canadian visiting Visa while in US a visitor without been asked to go back to my country (Nigeria to apply for the Visa).
If yes, can someone give me a lead on how to go about it ?
You can always apply for a visit visa in another country as long as you are there legally. Nothing stops you from doing that. What will be a problem is justifying your application to the embassy and being able to put together all the necessary documents without needing to travel to your home country? However, if you have a valid reason for applying, you will get a visa. Also note that the visa conditions doesn't suddenly change for you because you are in the US. You will still be subjected to the same application conditions as if you were in Nigeria.
