Christianity EtcRe: The Scientific Facts: The Biblical Evidence by NumberOne2(m): 9:44am On Sep 16, 2014
3. At a time when it was believed that the earth sat on a large animal or a giant (1500 B.C.), the Bible spoke of the earth’s free float in space: "HE hangs the earth upon
nothing" (Job 26:7).
One of my favourite bible quotes. How did Job know the earth hangs on nothing...
Bible scholars will tell you that Job happens to be one of the oldest books in the bible.

Rubbish. Remeber VIO and ENCODING?
These things DONT work. I am only sorry for those who rush to purchase such before a LOOMING deadline.
I'm still using my OLD number plate. Only reason I am using the new drivers license is cos it expired and you cannot be reissued the old one.
FamilyRe: How Does "Submitting" To A Man Improve A Woman's Existence? by NumberOne2(m):
Marriage like life is about give and take. What you put into it is what you get out. No magic involve, simple maths.
Dont trust your partner, they dont trust you.
Dont respect your partner, they dont respect you.

Most times the man should take the lead but a WISE woman can do that also.

Most of the folks like the OP are unmarried or divorced folks. It baffles me that a Single or divorced man will want to councel a married man. How? You cannot give what you dont have.

What should they use to create job? Ur head?
Looking at your comment, I see this is part of the reason for high unemployment rate. Lack of composure, courtesy and barbaric attitude. In this internet age, if you don't know how to create job then you are of all men, MOST IGNORANT.

Many seek jobs that few create. Little Demand and Excess Supply leads to bottle necks. Its a global phenom NOT just in Nigeria
My advice: If you don't find a job, make one. Yes its not easy. Is anything good in life easy? The guys making jobs are humans, not spirits.

SportsStephen Keshi VS Clemens Westerhof by NumberOne2(op): 2:11am On Jul 14, 2014
I look at the story of coach Stephen Keshi and its not so far from coach Clemens Westerhof.
Even after 20 years, our football approach is still the same.

STATS FROM BOTH
Clemens Westerhof took us to USA '94 after winning African Nations Cup, Tunisia '94.
Stephen Keshi took us to Brazil 2014 after winning African Nations Cup, South Africa 2014.

Both men discovered a lot of talents in Nigerian football.
Clearly we don't learn from History. Stephen Keshi is Clemens Westerhof and USA '94 all over again.

STATS FROM WESTERHOF
He is most noted for his success with the Nigerian national team. Under Westerhof, the Super Eagles won the 1994 African Cup of Nations and also qualified for the second round of the FIFA World Cup that year.

Following a 2 -1 defeat by Italy at the 1994 FIFA World Cup which eliminated Nigeria from the tournament, striker Rashidi Yekini was critical of both Westerhof and his team-mates, telling reporters:
"I have always been against this coach [Westerhof] ... It is no secret that I don't like him and he doesn't like me. I tried to go against him long ago, but my teammates did not support me. As a result, I was played out of the game. I never saw the ball."[1]

Finidi George and Emmanuel Amuneke were two other Nigerian international players reported to have fallen out of favour with Westerhof [2]; both players were dropped from the team by Westerhof at different points during his tenure as manager, only for the players to be subsequently reinstated in the team following the Nigerian Football Association's decision to overrule Westerhof.
Compare this to our current Coach Stephen Keshi. Is history repeating itself?

Car TalkRe: Beware Of Bad Fuel At NNPC Mega-Stations by NumberOne2(m): 9:45am On Jul 07, 2014
clemz85: pls can you help me provide this information? I want to know how many thousand is my RPM here, am sorry the pic isn't clear, it number 0 - 70 by ten ten jump
As you can see at the bottom of the gauge its written (x 100). Meaning that what ever value the needle points to is multiplied by 100. So if its at 15 that will be 15 x 100 = 1500rpm. At 70 will be 70 x 100 = 7,000rpm.

Most cars have it as 1 - 9 but at the buttom is written (x 1000). So 1.5 will be 1.5 x 1,000 = 1,500rpm.
Its just gauge calliberation or scalling. The total figure is what matters.
Car TalkRe: Beware Of Bad Fuel At NNPC Mega-Stations by NumberOne2(m): 10:42pm On Jul 06, 2014
Piyke: Its perfectly normal see link below
http://www.driveaccord.net/forums/showthread.php?t=22358
So only a link could solve the issue of Honda starting at 1,500rpm?
Mine idles at 1,500 and takes less than 4 minutes to warm up so I guess those that do less than 1,500 on cold start should take longer time to warm up. They both probably end up consuming the same amount of petrol to warm just that one takes LESS TIME.

I have seen cars that idle for up to 10 mins before warming which is just crap. This especially occurs if the THERMOSTAT has been bypassed by connecting the fans directly to the battery.
Car TalkRe: Beware Of Bad Fuel At NNPC Mega-Stations by NumberOne2(m): 4:58pm On Jul 05, 2014
These things happen. I remember as a kid like 20 years back my Dad bought petrol from a popular filling station.
It had water in it. After confirming the issue with his mechanic, he went back to the station. The manager apologise and gave him free tank wash. The filling station also did same for as many customers as came to complain.

Question:
How many of your guys went back to these stations to complain to the Manager?
The manager is probably a young guy like yourself who doesn't want any troubles.
If you avoid the station, how about the next guy?
They may not know even that water seeped into their tanks.

Its alway easy to jump online and post things like this. It is wrong. Go and complain, if they don't listen then come online.

With a cheap phone and internet connection, rumours and lies can be spread very fast.

I live in Abuja. I meet foreigners. I have seen folks who are quick to announce to any foreigner how corrupt the government is, how bombs are all over the city.

This is disgusting. Every country has issues. An America will not discuss with you how a 9 year old went to school with a gun and killed his teacher and 5 class mates but in Nigeria, we take pride in announcing our bad news.

We later blame foreign media for showing Africa in a bad light.
CultureRe: Africa: Is It Time To Put An End To Traditional Wedding Rites? by NumberOne2(m): 11:14pm On Jul 02, 2014
Africa is facing a serious identity crisis.
We gladly accept foreign religions and cultures (especially Christianity and Islam) while looking down on ours.

If we question traditional practices, how many religious practices have we questioned?
There are many religious practices that raise more questions than these traditional practices.

Look at places like Japan which are modern cities but maintain most of their ancient traditions.
Must Africa copy the west in the name of modernization?

ProgrammingRe: How To Protect Your Mobile Apps From Reversed Engineering by NumberOne2(m): 3:10pm On Jun 27, 2014
There is nothing you can do about it. You are at the mercy of the developer kit you are using.
Questions like this arise when you think your app is the "all in all". Most times its not.

Afterall, even the iphones (owned by Apple) are jail broken everyday how much less your app.

BOTTOM LINE
Make your app, distribute or sell it and move on. Why would anyone want to reverse engineer your app?
Unless is some kind of online payment or bank related app. Even at that, it will be easier to hack your servers than look at your app codes.

omigin: Thanks for the advice. But there is still one of them that is still into me, she is now bein careful somehow, not as comfortable as she used to be around me as when we first met. Did i do anything wrong, was i forward or brought myself down by asking of them out or what?
MAYBE the one you asked out (or BEGGED out cos that is what some guys do) spread some stories about you which she may have perceived true. I say MAYBE. I like to get all my facts before concluding. You may want to ask her about it

- OR -

Perhaps you should ask the one you are close to. Just ask, ladies are usually more open than guys think.
However, like I said before, just move on. UNLESS you are looking for a SERIOUS relationship with one of them else whats the fuss.

One mistake guys make is feeling UNCOMFORTABLE around a girl they have asked out before who turned them down.
The fact she said NO doesnt matter. You can still be "FRIENDS", things may work out later. Thats mature and ladies respect that.

Just remain free around her. Even JOKE about it in public like it dont matter to you.
Stuff like "Now you made me get another gal, when you know you are the gal I want."

I emphasize JOKE because, when done in excess or with seriousness may seem like your are OBSESSED or IN LOVE. That will scare her away for sure.

omigin: You made a very good point. I just moved to a new location, my first week there was realy a big one, i was getting serious attention from ladies there. One of them was even coming to my house to have fun with me sometimes. But the day i asked a particular lady out,was the day i lost it all, since then, i have lost my respect, i now look ordenary and almost nothing to them. Please advice me on what to do regain my lost repect.
Let me get this straight. You were sleeping with one of them and then asked another one out?
Anyways dont matter, bottomline. MOVE ON. You cant be the NEW GUY FOREVER.

Perhaps they were just interested cos you were NEW there. Perhaps a "NEWER" guy has moved in and so is the now the new attraction.
PoliticsRe: Ngozi Okonjo Iweala And Occupy Nigeria Group: Twitter Fight! by NumberOne2(m):
Nigerians and their usual complaining attitude but profer NO tangible solution.
Why should this "Occupy Nigeria" attack her so much. She has feelings you know. She has families and kids.

If Madam advices the Senate and Presidency on ways to spend money and cut expenses but they choose to do otherwise for their selfish interest, is it her fault?

I challenge any of these "Occupy Nigeria" members who think he/she can do a better job to run for elections and see if they can even win Local Government Chairman in their own village.

Or better yet, let us see your achievement in your locality or where you live.
What are your community development initiatives? Can your immediate family boast of your achievements?
You CANNOT give what you dont have. It is easy to jump on the computer and talk rubbish. Freedom of speech is not licence for stupidity.

Criticism is good, but to profer possible solutions is better. It is the part of thinking of solutions that most Nigerians shy away from cos lets face it, THINKING is a lot of work but complaining is FUN. Rubbish.

Godmother: I don't dress provocatively. As a matter of fact I can't stand exposing the body in a provocative manner. Is there something else that attracts such guys. I'm considering stepping out of my relationship of 3 weeks cos the guy is mounting serious pressure on me. And this is a guy I met in church, we attend the same church. If I'd met him in a club would have understood, not that I club sef.
First off. You met him in church doesnt make him and angel. Devil goes to church too. I saw him yesterday (sunday) ;-)
But seriously, stand your ground. You dont have to sleep with any guy if you dont want to.
If you want to, then that is fine, you are an ADULT.

Nothing worse than forcing yourself to sleep with a guy and then having regrets and seeing him in church every service day. If you wanted to then that is a different matter.
It has nothing to do with your dressing or curves. It just the mind of the guy. Trust me, less attractive women still have PLENTY guys wanting to sleep with them.
EducationRe: Governor Obi Donates N200m To Private Universities by NumberOne2(m): 12:18am On Nov 26, 2013
Pukkah: AWKA—TWO private  universities in Anambra State, the Madonna University, Okija and Paul University, Awka weekend received N100 million each from Governor Peter Obi as part of the state government’s on-going intervention in tertiary institutions in the state.

Similarly, Governor Obi gave N30 million to St. John’s Technical College, Neni to enable the college improve infrastructure.
Obi recently began the intervention in tertiary education in the state with a grant of N5 billion to the state –owned Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu University for infrastructural development during which he promised that private universities in the state would also be supported.

The governor said during his visits to the two private universities that the intervention was necessary because as institutions in Anambra State, they were training the children of the state.
Obi also donated two vehicles to each of the universities.

Whose money is he donating? His own or tax payers money?
EducationRe: The Fallen Standard Of Education In Nigeria by NumberOne2(m): 10:21pm On Nov 24, 2013
The only problem with education in Nigeria is that students are not allowed to think.

The lecturers expect you to vomit their notes word for word.
The purpose of education is to make students think and improve on what they are thought. Improve society. University is meant for reseach not to copy and paste.

How can one think when the only way to pass is to photocopy lecture notes back to the lecturer?
Any attempt to question a lecturer on new findings in his area (cos most of them use the same lecture notes of 10 years ago) will only lead to being seen as an enemy and you will most likely fail the course.

This inability to think is what employers complain about. 1st class, 2-1 student who cannot deliver in the field.
Engineers who cannot fix anything. Doctors who experiment with patients, try this drug or that.

While graduates complain there are NO JOBS, businesses complain there are NO APPLICANTS.

Since Nigeria has enough problems, I dont like to discuss problems alone but profer solutions also.

SOLUTION
1) Copy and paste to pass exams and get the best grade you can.
2) Read more than you are taught. God bless the internet... Use it.
3) Learn a skill because that is the only way to make a living. People pay for service. They pay better for good service.
There are many. Event management, Software developer, Public speaker, Hair dressing... The list is endless. Just pick one.
4) When you look for that dream job and it doesnt come in 2 years (1 year NYSC + 1 post NYSC). Fall back on your skill and be the best you can.

Bottomline, if you cant get a job, make one.
Car TalkRe: How Do I Prevent Leg Cramps While Driving? by NumberOne2(m):
Naija is hot so its common for folks to sweat. If you sweat a lot, there is a problem.
Cramps are caused mostly by salt depetion in the body. Salt is lost when you sweat.

Sports people take salt pill to prevents cramp during the game.
You should increase your salt and water intake. Depending on how long you sweat or drive, you should take perhaps 2 - 3 spoon full mixed in a glass of water every 2 days. This is not nice to drink but it helps. Take this prefarably before the (hot sun) like around 10am - 11am in the morning. Also drink a lot of water.

If you can lick salt directly, no problem. DO NOT take maggi or other seasoning cubes. It is not the same.

If the above is too strong for you, you can check your local pharmacy. They may have some salt pills.
You can also read more online about SALT and CRAMP prevention
CareerRe: How To Resign From A Bank When You Are Still Owing by NumberOne2(m): 12:40pm On Nov 23, 2013
I think termination without benefits is wrong. Those in this boat should seek good legal advice.
This usually requires a lot of work and most folks are not willing to do.
Thank God for the internet on E-libraries.
1) Find out the industry standard on these issues from CBN and Labour laws.
2) Find out the BANK policy on this.
3) Even for contract staff, find out the policy of the contracting company on this.

Most times these big boys act on the ignorace of their staff.

You can do your research or get a good lawyer (and be ready to pay) to do it for you.
If you have a strong case, trust me, NO BANK will want to go to court for this kind of thing. The threat of a case is enough for the Managers at HQ to run around and settle.

As for the dude that want to quit without paying back the loans. That is FRAUD. It EFCC or Police get involve, you will not be in a good position. You can re-negotiate the loan terms and spread out payments. Also, it will be bad for your GUARANTORS because the bank will hold them responsible.

NOTE:
- No ONE goes to jail for repaying loans slowly. They may use jail to threaten you but if you have a good and honest payment plan, there is no case provided you are paying so they don't harras your GUARANTOR.

- On the other hand, running away with debt is a crime and is punishable by law.

Art, Graphics & VideoRe: Best Ghost Pictures Ever Taken by NumberOne2(m): 12:16am On Nov 16, 2013
born_to_be_gr8t: THE BACKSEAT GHOST

Mrs. Mabel Chinnery was visiting the grave of her mother one day in 1959. She had brought along her camera to take photographs of the gravesite. After snapping a few shots of her mother's gravestone, she took an impromptu photo of her husband, who was waiting alone in the car. At least the Chinnerys thought he was alone.
When the film was developed, the couple was more than surprised to see a figure wearing glasses sitting in the back seat of the car. Mrs. Chinnery immediately recognized the image of her mother – the woman whose grave they had visited on that day. A photographic expert who examined the print determined that the image of the woman was neither a reflection nor a double exposure. "I stake my reputation on the fact that the picture is genuine," he testified.
Ghost wearing glasses. Seriously?!

It is easy to blame God. Some of these disasters are caused by man's activities. You gonna blame God for global warming too, rape or gun violence? Do your research. The earth is deteriorating due to age, wear and tear but man's activities are speeding up the process. God didn't design the earth to last forever. Christians are not surprised because Jesus spoke of these things in the bible about 2,000 years ago. Earthquakes, wars and disasters. Enlighten yourself by reading the bible. The end is near... This is just the beginning.
