WebmastersRe: How Much Do You Make From Adsense Per Day? by NumberOne2(m): 11:16pm On Feb 13, 2012
Dude, its NOT a scam. First off, to make anything from google adsense you need to have traffic on your site. To have traffic, you need to have fresh content. Posting pictures of politicians or writing about your gal friend will not bring anyone to your site. So the real questions are: What does my site have? Why should folks visit my site? Answer these and you're half way there.
PoliticsRe: Nigerians Living In Poverty Rise To Nearly 61% by NumberOne2(m): 8:53pm On Feb 13, 2012
I think part of the problem is the foreign exchange. The Dollar has fallen and so has the Naira. Poverty line used to be those living below US$1 a day. Now it is US$2 per day. Naturally, more folks will become poor if the US$2 yardstick is used. Dollar used to be N150. Now its N160 and climbing.

So doing the math: In 2004 someone living on US$1 per day (N150) was NOT poor. Now, the same person in 2010 living on US$1.90 (N304) which is less than US$2 is considered poor. How? The figures don't add up.
ProgrammingRe: Mobile Phone Application Programming by NumberOne2(m): 2:16pm On Feb 13, 2012
Nope. There was a time when Java ruled. Then any Java app could run on most phones. Now, its different. You have to design for individual platforms. To develop for iphone you'll need its dev kit. The kit will only design apps that run on iphone. Same with android. It has its own kit and its apps only run on android phones and tabs. Same with BB and Windows mobile. So choose one to start with.
ProgrammingRe: Mobile Phone Application Programming by NumberOne2(m): 12:25pm On Feb 13, 2012
First off, the fact that an app runs on your Windows PC doesn't mean it will run on Windows mobile. Just like PC java and Mobile Java are different. Windows mobile has its own api which is different from the PC version. Visit Microsoft website and search for Windows mobile developer kit plus tutorials. They should have that.

I admire the Apple fans. However, how many of you have heard the Charlie Miller vs Apple story. Just last year Mr. Miller proved to Apple that some apps it approved may have malicious intent and guess what Apple did? They banned him. Google it.
ProgrammingRe: A Site That Requires No Internet Connection To Surf! by NumberOne2(m): 10:50am On Feb 01, 2012
OP, you should read more on how the HTTP PROTOCOL works. Having an offline storage is different from surfing the web. Even Microsoft Encarta with its complex features still needs updates via the web.
PhonesRe: Massive Android Malware May Have Infected 5 Million Users || by NumberOne2(m): 9:54am On Feb 01, 2012
Malware is not new in the IT world. Apple has theirs also. I think the problem is with the end user.
ALWAYS CHECK THE APP PERMISSION BEFORE DOWNLOADING.
Why will a simple game ask for SMS permission or GPS? When an app asks for more permission than necessary, thats a sign of malicious intent.
Also check the reviews of others who downloaded the app before you. What are their ratings?
RomanceRe: Why Do Good Guys Always Lose Out? by NumberOne2(m): 2:31pm On Jan 13, 2012
Kindness can often be taken for weakness. Ladies like kindness but not weakness. You should take charge sometime and be a man. Kissing butt doesn't make you nice. You don't have to be a bully to be respected. No lady, I repeat, NO LADY respects a weak man.

I laugh when I see folks living outside Nigeria saying we should accept the PMS subsidy removal. I bet a lot on Nigerians in foreign lands didn't know this. Your Government subsidizes your food. Without it, you could feed. The only subsidy Nigeria gets is from refined products. See for yourself

Highlights:
The United States currently pays around $20 billion per year to farmers in direct subsidies as "farm income stabilization

In 2010, the EU spent €57 billion on agricultural development, of which €39 billion was spent on direct subsidies

The impact of agricultural subsidies in developed countries upon developing-country farmers and international development is well documented. Agricultural subsidies depress world prices and mean that unsubsidised developing-country farmers cannot compete;

PoliticsRe: Is "Occupy Lekki " Over? by NumberOne2(m): 11:42pm On Dec 19, 2011
After the Ocuppy Lekki, I must say that I have a lot of respect for some Nigerians. The fact that they came out at all is something.

Those pointing to the OCCUPY NY should have a rethink. What have they acheived so far besides getting pepper sprayed?

Like I always say "Rome wasn't built in a day but SOME IGNORANT Nigerians want Naija to be built overnight". How Einstien?
PhonesRe: Android, Anyone? by NumberOne2(m): 3:51pm On Dec 08, 2011
Malicious apps abound. Here is a tip: When downloading an app, always check for the app permission request. Most apps request internet connection which is ok. It may because of ads running within the app. However some case are extreme.
Example, why will a Dictionary app ask for phone call permission or SMS permission? Or why will a simple shooting game require GPS permission? What does the app need my location for? This points to malicious intent by the developer.

Jokes EtcNigerians And Verbal Abuse by NumberOne2(op): 2:48pm On Nov 30, 2011
Nigerians are the most abused folks in the World according to a survey conducted. 80% of Nigerians receive verbal abuses everyday. 78% don't fail to dish out abuses on others on daily basis.
Folks in political offices recieve the highest abuses. As much as 72% of the daily political abuses go to Mr. President. The State Governors also have a share but the President is by far the highest.
Husbands and Wives also exchange some also. The children are not left out as they receive 32% of household abuses. The Husband has a whopping 53% while the wives have just 15%. Words like to"useless man" and "idiot" rain in homes and we wonder why children are failing WAEC and JAMB and men struggle.
Motorist on the road usually get an average of 2 verbal abuses while going to work but while returning can get as much as 7. These figures are slightly higher during traffic congestion. However if an accident occurs, verbal abuses escalate to the point of physical abuses.
PhonesRe: 50 Really Useful Android Tips And Tricks by NumberOne2(m): 1:41pm On Nov 30, 2011
These are useful tips from you, thanks
for posting them here. I use a HTC
Legend, been using it for more than a
year now, recently i used up the SD
space on it had to delete some
unnecessary apps, but since then if i
download any update for my apps on
the phone, i always get a error
message "update cannot be saved on
phone nor SD" also the Bluetooth app
has stopped working. i don't want to
restore the phone to factory setting.
hope i'll get alternative information
here. Thanks in anticipation.
Perhaps you should check if you still have free space in the new card. Also try restarting the device. This may fix the Bluetooth issue.
Why update an app that works fine?
Personally, I'm usually the last to do an update. I like to get others folks reviews on the updates before I do mine. The web of full of complaints about errors after updates.

FamilyRe: My Son Lied To Us For Three Years, That He Was In The University. by NumberOne2(m): 4:12pm On Nov 28, 2011
Well, I hope the boy isn't on drugs (marijuana et al) cos that will make it a medical problem.
If there are no drugs and he is just confused about his future kindly find out what he wants and negotiate the best options with him. Let him see reasons with you rather than imposing. However make him know that this is last chance. If he blows it, he'll be sent to the village or open a phone booth for him.
Also since he's getting aggressive I suggest you speak to a counsellor so he doesn't get suicidal or do something silly.

BusinessRe: Why Won't People Use The Online Stores In Nigeria by NumberOne2(m): 12:44pm On Nov 25, 2011
I sell N200 ($1.49) apps online and I can say that the biggest issue is trust. I get a lot of calls just to verify that the app will be unlocked after the payment even with the free trial on the apps.
Trust is a thing a business must build over time anywhere in the world. With my current client base, if I had a N16,000 ($99.99) app tomorrow, they will not hesitate to pay.
I bet those who shop online abroad use popular sites like Yahoo, Amazon or Paypal. You wouldn't use your card on a site called www.buyCheapFromUs.com right?
WebmastersRe: Which Cms Is Best For School by NumberOne2(m): 12:26pm On Nov 25, 2011
Design a web portal. eg www.theschoolname.com/records.

create accounts for students with passwords. the students and parents can view results, resumption date or news from the school.

then the sub-admin account is for teachers. Each class teacher has admin access to the class records and can modify them.

then the overall admin account. perhaps you or the principal of the school. this can modify anything from student/parent account to teacher account, news and announcements et al.

sql with php/html should take care of this but get your architecture right from the start. all necessary field.
also security and data backup else its useless.

You can throw in a Facebook page for good measure.

Check out the UNIBEN portal.

The video doesn't help cos it doesn't show how to install android on a windows device. An alternative is to buy an android device cos unless you're a pro you might end up crashing your device.
