Mhen... I experienced this with a sienna I sold. Was driving on a sunny day with the ac on..loud gbedu..and viola...the oil alert indicator popped up on the instrument cluster....I was dazzled...kept wondering what was wrong.. Well...I managed to park by the road side..popped up the hood and realized that there was oil everywhere...thank goodness I parked immediately that indicator came up. I eventually bought a clip to hold the hose firmly...and then...topped up with 2 liters of 5w30...got scared of driving that ride till I found a buyer.

You are lucky other people had to rebuild their engines, even in US as the engine doesn't shutdown on low oil warning

Yes if it isn't already metallic but I believe all 2010 Toyota with 3.5L V6 came with metallic oil cooler, it was 07 to 09 that majorly had the ruptured rubber cooler lines. Check the car first or just buy and do the change

It is fitted with a 3.5L V6 I believe the oil cooler lines could be rubber,. TSB was done by Toyota to change the rubber hose to metallic one. Checking oil gauge would not help your ministery as the rubber hose can give way on motion causing severe engine damage.

Toks price would go up but the best thing is to buy alternative vehicles like Renault, Seat, citreon, freelander, Opel and other junk cars people don't buy you use for 6months and buy another

LE for bad roads Sport for good roads due to skirts on the sports

Honda Accord baby boy to EOD had fragile gears that develop issues. Solution

1. Keep managing it like that

2. Convert to manual or sell the auto and buy manual

3. Buy a replacement gear or rebuild the unit if possible

Don't know any about GAC, just see them on the road.

RAV4 more in reliability index than Tucson.

The Fortuner are bought brand-new majorly in Nigeria and comes with 2.7L i4or 4.0L V6 both petrol engines are very expensive to replace if you damage them. But it is reliable all the same

Did you know that Corolla started from 1950s and has several generation in those years with differing engine. Tell us what particular year Corolla atleast I know the 406 year.

To answer your question on rugged engine I have told you maintenance is key all engines are rugged and built to last year's, maintenance is the only thing that will tell whether the engine would last or not.

My sienna engine is already 7years in Nigeria and with 200,xxxkm and still strong while my friends own is 3years and it has been ringed once already

If they list all the brands and corresponding models you will grow old and die b4 U exhaust the list.

All cars engine can be rebuilt as long as you can get the spare part to do so. Steel engine easier than Aluminium. There is no rugged engine, maintenance is key.

No, it's not steaming. I do notice the one that's steaming when the weather is cold or it has Rained. Also, the steam is always white.

The morning start up smoking happens like this. The smoke is released the moment the engine comes on and goes away almost immediately. Doesn't last more than a second or two. And won't happen again until I start the next morning.

Also, the smoke is not noticeable from inside the car.

I have to stand behind and ask someone to start the car before I notice the smoke.

Standing behind car, tell someone to rev the engine to 3k rpm and observe if smoke is noticed.

If smoke is observed at throttle depression only, then you have an internal leakage

My car is 2007 Toyota corolla.

Since I got it in 2019, I have been using Mobil semi synthetic oil (5W 30). But the car burns oil and (burns around one liter after 2k miles) and emits little blue smoke when started in the morning. The smoke lasts a second or two. But when driving, it doesn't smoke.

Because of the little oil shortage, I changed to Mobil 20W 50 in February this year. Because I felt it would stop the oil burn. But that didn't happen.

Now I want to go back to Mobil semi synthetic (5W 30). But hope the Mobil 20W 50 I used only once from February to this time won't cause any problems?

Are you certain the early morning smoke isn't just steaming?

For reduction of oil it could be external leak, check your undercarriage and engine external seals for leakage.

Nissan quest is better though the 3.3L V6 isn't as efficient as the odyssey engine.
The odyssey 2000 to 03 were plagued with transmission issues for the 4spd b4 it was upgraded to 5dpd. Odyssey also prone to rust and rear suspension k leg.

But the Honda shuttle/Odyssey or the Isuzu Oasis are better than the nissan and rugged

Some other things like oil warning light, middle speaker issues etc. Facelift isn't only external some other additions were added I can't know all because I am not ASE certified
