Demdem, do not let the PPP deceive you it's a loan, just like the Lagos-kano, mambila power funded also by the Chinese on the same 85:15 ratio,

On insecure routes has anyone picked up a map to see what route this pipeline would need to enter Europe, the easiet being Algeria, but then you ask if Algeria has massive gas reserves and has not built it's own pipeline to Europe why should she allow a foreign pipeline.
Algeria and Morocco already have existing subsea pipelines to Spain. But they dont have enough gas to meet European demand. I agree with the Op to an extent; if the medium term plan for the AKK pipeline isn't to get Nigerian gas connected to Europe, then the economic viability and priority of the pipeline is questionable.

RomanceRe: My Girlfriend Asked Me To Tell My Mum To Remarry & I Have Lost Confidence In Her by obailala(m): 11:54am On Jul 05, 2020
Mvici:
I Lost Confidence In My Girlfriend The Moment She Asked Me To Marry For My Mother.

I had a girlfriend some few months back before the covid 19 outbreak, that was after we went home from school due to the strike and the pandemic, we both are in the same school which is IBB university lapai, in our final.

So at home this faithful day, I put a call through! We both were talking, laughing on phone, so she ask about my mum, I said she was fine and she now ask abt her loneliness because no one at home, I told her but I'm still here with her, she ask what if school resume and what if we should go for our service next year, she now told me to marry another man for my mum.... lol... telling me who knows" that my mum might like the idea if I should table it with her. Gosh! I actually laughed about it then on phone with her but inside me, it wasn't funny at all.

The next day, what she told me was still bordering me, so many things were just running on my mind...so even if by mistake I wife her in future and the Lord decide to take me when we have a grown up child like me, who is planning on becoming a graduate this year and have even spent 30 years in marriage already....she won't even mourn me for long before accepting another man's proposal or bleeping with another man or probably her one time ex.

I decided to ask my mum with play, mum be sincere to me, you and my dad have been married since far back 1986... U both were in marriage for about 30 yrs before he past away few years ago, may his soul rest in peace..this is 5yrs now are you considering on marrying any one or having any kind of body movement or even can stand the presence of another man in your life?

Guess what her reply was....
Mum said my dad was the only man she know in her life and that's how it going to remain by God grace, period! and I shouldn't ask her such again with cry/smiles on her face because she has me and I will give her groundchil........

Seriously I don't know why I brought this here but pls tell me, any girl that can ask a 52 Year old woman to re_marry even after she has a child, isn't it clear that she can't stay without having sex to anyone as long as her husband is on a peace keeping mission or even travel abroad?

Thanks everyone.
Your mum is 52, and probably has another 30-40+ years to live on earth. You sound like you're somewhere between 25 - 30 years old and if you arent already away from home, you will be leaving home very soon. So in essence, you want your 52 year old (still reasonably young) mum to live for the next 40+ years alone and in isolation because of what exactly? Because you will give her grandchildren?

If you and your kids would live under the same roof with your mum for the next 40 years, then no problem. But if you plan to abandon her but only visit with her grandkids say once or twice a year, then you must be a very selfish man. Do you know isolation can drive a person to depression?

Allow your mum to make that decision herself. Marriage is more about companionship than sex. On the surface, theres absolutely nothing wrong with your girlfriend's suggestion, it's actually a mature suggestion.

BTW is it not the same Transport Minister Amaechi who put Akanu Ibiam Airport under lock for up to a year now and counting. Is it not the same Minister who supervised the rail project where SE was not captured? It is a shame what this group is doing. Nigerians of course have a right to feel bad over harsh economic situations. But this increase you have here is just an effect of the govt no longer paying subsidies. Except your proposal is for the govt to keep paying subsidies, I'm not sure I understand what your blames are for.

Petroleum product prices in those other countries you talk about is not increasing because it has always been high; those countries have always had it deregulated and prices fixed based on market forces. I live in the UK, do you know how much I pay for a litre of fuel? £1.10 currently (and this is the lowest it's ever been , thanks to low oil prices). Pump price in Nigeria is one of the cheapest in the world even at N145, and this is because the govt always subsidises the cost. Whilst we agree that removing subsidy will cause hardship, if we must tell ourselves the truth, Nigeria cannot afford to keep paying subsidies. The only countries where the pump price is as cheap or cheaper than Nigeria are those mega rich oil producing nations like Saudi whose governments have a massive financial war-chest to even dispense petrol free of charge.

I thought the president promised during his campaign against Jonathan that he won't pay subsidy and that's why PMS was been sold for 143 naira ever since he entered Office.... So why am I now hearing about he has removed subsidy ? Is it possible to remove subsidy again after you've removed it the first time huh? If he has just removed it then why was the price of petrol increase by almost 80% in his first term of ruling huh? huh huh
Subsidy was removed when pump prices was increased to N145 in 2016. Of course following severe groaning from Nigerians, when oil prices increased further (prompting pump prices above N145), it was a politically inexpedient to let that happen. So subsidy was systematically re-introduced (under a new name called 'under-recovery') to peg the prices at N145. With oil prices rising much further, the amount spent / lost for the so-called under-recovery increased. This year, Covid19 crisis has forced oil prices to drop to record lows again. The government has just made another attempt (about a month or 2 ago) to stop subsidy finally. This time I doubt the govt would reverse on this decision because even the recent loan the FG got from the world bank, part of the conditions was that fuel subsidy would never be re-introduced.

Pump price isn't determined by oil price alone; there's refining + logistic costs like shipping + storage cost + piping + admin costs + taxes etc. Most of these other costs are independent of the oil price itself and even with oil price at $0, pump price may still be about N100.

The latter is likely to happen in the event of an increase in global crude oil price. Prices fall below $50, govt withdraws subsidy, when it goes above$50 subsidy kicks in.
In April oil price was around $20 and pump price was reduced to N123. Now it's risen to about $40 and pump price is back to N140. If oil price increases to say $80 next month, pump price could easily be hitting N180 and Nigerians will cry blood and curse and curse and curse until government is forced to return to subsidy payment.

Of course that's what subsidy removal is all about. What exactly is dubious or shocking or confusing here?

Over a month ago, oil sold for about $20 and pump price was reduced to N123. Now oil price has risen over $40 and pump price has increased. If oil price rises further to say $80, pump price would surely rise again, except we want govt to resume paying subsidy.

The title of this report is actually misleading; government didn't increase oil price, rather pump price has just increased in line with global oil prices.

Since u dont know wat land has got to do with gas, it is best we end this discussion.

U will know when the pipelines are blown up.
1. That gas is currently being burnt away as massive flares.

2. Those flares massively degrade the environment in the host communities.

3. If that gas can be piped away and sold to willing customers, the government will make more revenue, and the 13% derivation accruing to the gas producing states will increase.

4. If a robust gas infrastructure is built around Nigeria, it will improve Nigeria's overall productivity, it will also improve power supply, and more revenue for government means more development across the country.

5. Lastly and most especially, when that gas being burnt is piped away, flares will be eliminated, and the 'LAND' / environment you claim to be so concerned about will be protected.

If you still cannot see the benefit in developing a gas pipeline infrastructure across Nigeria, then you aren't just an enemy of Nigeria, you're also the biggest enemy of those oil/gas producing communities you claim to be trying to defend. You obviously don't really care about the land; to you and many others, it's all just about an anti-north/inter-tribal/inter-ethnic/ political prejudice.

And from the tone of your words all along, I can bet my last dime you aren't from the SS or even any oil producing community. Hardly have i seen anyone from the SS appending SE-SS repeatedly when they make arguments these days. Nobody from an oil producing community is going to go blow-up any pipeline over this particular issue; I grew up in the SS and the SS people I know are well past this intellectually degraded mentality of letting political/inter-ethnic prejudices erode their common sense.

I AM YET TO COME ACROSS A MORE FOOLISH PERSON THAN A SOUTHERNER (ODUDUWA & BIAFRA) CHAMPIONING THE UNITY OF ONE NIGGER-AREA

-Even more dumb are the literate dummies that say they are Nigger Delta the ‘Our Oyel’ brigade, South South, Bendel, Mid-West, South-East and goodness knows what other nonsensical name their masters from the Sahel will give them to bear tomorrow.

As these morons are busy dividing themselves with their useless slave names. The Fulani ‘PRESIDENCY’ supported by their terror group Miyetti we gather will on Wednesday- day after tomorrow, flag off their AKK gas pipeline which will cost the ZOO $2.8 billion. Mind you all this money came from Biafraland by virtue of our resources the British stole with the active connivance of their Fulani lapdogs and Oduduwa treachery.

We understand AKK stands for Ajeokuta, Kaduna, Kano.

The sole aim of the gas pipeline is to transfer gas from Biafraland to the terror breeding supporter of APC Sharia territories in a bid to industrialize the north and from there export the gas to other Islamic North African countries.

But here is the issue, the entire Biafraland including the retards that call themselves Nigger Delta, South East and South South have no industrial gas pipeline that will aide industrialization but they are the ones that produce the gas. They drink from the same pool of dirty water they go to toilet in.

Igboland has the biggest gas reserves in the whole of Africa in Ohaji/Egbema/Ugwuta axis. Dangote has been busy purchasing choice acres of gas rich lands with the help of Fulani Supreme Court Governor Hope Uzodinma.

Oduduwa are also benefitting from the enslavement of Biafraland because they too are getting their own gas pipeline from Igboland to the Ogun and Lagos area, to help provide steady electricity for companies there. This is why they want One Nigger-area by all means not because they love you but because of their parasitic tendencies. They are all hypocrites. Now you know why you head to the north or west once you graduate.

According to Okenyi Kenechi, “few months ago, Governor Wike dredged the Iwofe River to allow NLNG gas vessels to deck there. Before that, NLNG gas vessels take gas from Bonny to Lagos where gas is hauled in trucks back to Port Harcourt and other parts of the region. That's why cooking gas is cheaper in Lagos than in Port Harcourt.” Yes you heard him right, cooking gas is cheaper in Lagos than anywhere in Biafraland. When Yoruba tells you about one Nigger-area now you know why.

Kenechi went on to say “you see, when I see young people from South East and South South insulting themselves over Biafra and Niger Delta Republic, I laugh and shake my head. You people are living in the dark. The rest of the country are playing okoso with your futures.”

“Keep shouting APC and PDP while your region is roundly underdeveloped.”

When will our people learn to reason. by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu
Gas that has been burnt away for the last 60 years, and that is still been burnt away in the form of flares. Now the lacking infrasfructure (pipeline) is about to be built to convert that wasted gas to resources, possibly boosting govt revenues by over $5bn annually and also eliminating flares and the attendant environmental damage, but some good for nothing imbeciles think this is a bad move because they heard the word 'Kano'. Ignorance and hatred just has to be the worst pandemic on the face of the earth.
