At the end of the day, this whole saga is a simple case of money laundering gone wrong.. Government officials laundering money under the guise of procuring arms to fight insurgency... and we keep asking ourselves how come the Jonathan government has spent billions upon billions of dollars for defence and yet the military men at the battlefield are still not equipped?...

Now we have 12 of our gallant soldiers being sentenced to death for daring to complain/protest. If anything happens to those soldiers, these our crops of mindlessly corrupt politicians will surely die very terrible deaths.

May God expose these charlatans extensively before the next general elections
Politics › Re: TB Joshua Shares Clearer Pics Of "Strange Aircraft" That "Caused Building Crash" by obailala(m): 12:08pm On Sep 18, 2014
Looks like an Airforce C130 making a final manoeuvre to land at MMA. I cannot see what is so strange about this.

The way Nigerians have to think so primitive even with all our education is beyond me. A building without a proper foundation and without a firm structure is simply a disaster waiting to happen. Depending on how weak it is, it would require a little vibration on the foundation to bring such a structure down.

The vibrations produced by the military aircraft hovering about several times while waiting for final clearance to land at MMA was simply what tipped the scale and brought the weak building down like a pack of cards. As usual in the typical Nigerian spirit, instead of calling for the architect, the builder or the proprietor who went ahead to erect an improper non-approved structure, Nigerians will begin to call for the head of the pilot.
Politics › Re: 10 Reasons Why Prophet T.b. Joshua's Guest House Collapsed by obailala(m): 11:49am On Sep 18, 2014
Fashola4thSon: 1) T.B. Joshua's reference to the aircraft does not suggest that the sound of the aircraft or breeze blew down his guest house, no, but rather an indirect or direct stuff from the aircraft must have hit the guest house people should understand what this prophet is talking before they start accusing him, make reasonable arguments. Technology has gone very far beyond the interpretation of an un-updated minds particularly Africans.e.g. We never knew an envelope could be a bomb up until Late Dele Giwa was affected. Which turn the man into pieces of meat in few seconds. That was when their British lecturer knew he had a Nigerian in his class room, who was an IGBO tribe.

2) Some people are stupid how can a man who used N50 million to train a footballer free of charge in Sweden and spent millions of dollars on charity, toy with a guest house building project for international delegate, where presidents, governors and all kind of world leaders gather. It is nothing but a set up. ls he that poor even if he turned a two stories building into ten. it's a church of world class citizens and best brains.

3) It happened in the day time when the bright clouds and the sun could not allow anyone to see a flash light of any explosive or device.

4) The sound of whatever they shot at his lodging site was over shadowed by the counter sound of the aircraft and the sound of the collapsing guest house thus people could not differentiate the effect of there evil mission.A sound is not enough to detect an explosion as light travels faster than sound and besides some equipments has the capability to effect and affect a target without sound e.g. LASER BEAM. Its projection can cut a vehicle, diamond etc., into several parts without direct contact.

5) Size does not determine the effect of an explosive device. Certain tiny explosives are as small as bean e.g. c4 yet can cause a greater damage more than twenty pieces of hand grenade put together.

6) T.B. Joshua who was the primary target of this attack was not in the collapsed building as he normally goes there to pray for the foreigners.

7) The aircraft or the helicopter came closer to the guest building 4 times closer as it circles the church to have a pin point accuracy in its target, as it flew 4 good times lower to the building for execution of its assignment.

cool For helicopter to hover on a particular spot 4 good times means its looking for a target and position and there is a mission.

9) As a scanning consultant, the aircraft must have being scanning the building from a distance and kept adjusting and coming closer until the 4th time when the speed of light was faster than the speed of sound. Abacha had scanning vehicle when he brought failed bank tribunal for his enemies. China banned iphone 6 due to wall scanning reasons and other national security reasons.

10) Few minutes after the the departure of the aircraft the building collapsed means that a shot has hit the target and aircraft left the scene immediately.
A very deep but fundamentally flawed and ridiculous analysis. You sound like an intelligent and methodical person who has done a proper research but you seem to have been brainwashed by religion and the usual Nigerian backwardness to an embarrassing extent where all your education and enlightenment has been rubbished. You now assume the technologies you see in Star Wars and Star Trekk are real and the best place to deploy such fictional masterpiece is in Lagos Nigeria?

I see your point, Pastor Joshua's guest house was targeted by an invisible E-Bomb deployed from a UFO.

In your enlightenment, have you for once imagined the level of vibration that would have been caused by a low flying aircraft?... Now it is CONFIRMED that the building had no permit to be upgraded with several extra storeys and your argument against this is that "TB Joshua has money"?

Don't be ridiculous my friend. The building collapsed because it had a weak structure and an inadequately foundation... and Yes! the aircraft introduced the eventual vibration which tipped the scale and led the structure to give way. I know in the typical Nigerian spirit, instead of calling for the architect, the builder or the proprietor who went ahead to erect an improper non-approved structure, you will begin to call for the head of the pilot.
Politics › Re: Would You Vote For Goodluck Jonathan Come 2015? by obailala(m): 11:19am On Sep 18, 2014
The man's affinity for corruption and corrupt people is unprecedented

The man's lack of wisdom and lack of leadership abilities have led him to 'unknowingly' introduce a toxic type of politics in Nigeria; the politics of hate, the politics of blame and the politics of shame.

Through his poor leadership skills, he has also 'unknowingly' introduced a rare breed of tribalism/ethnicity/religious nepotism where even supposedly enlightened individuals see black and boldly call it white all because of some ill sentiments. I must confess when I read certain comments, I feel embarrassed being Igbo cos I cannot understand how some individuals can be so caught up in the sycophancy.

He also seems to be fulfilling his alleged destiny, which is to bankrupt Nigeria. I have always said that the amount of money embezzled in Nigeria in the last 4 years far exceeds what was embezzled from 1979 to 2010.

A weak man he is, a very weak man who cannot even control the actions and outbursts of his wife. A man who cannot step on the toes of even his enemies, let alone his allies. These are certainly not the qualities we need in the person at the utmost position; at least not at these times.

The writing on the wall is clear for anyone with a sound mind, "Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin," The man Jonathan has been measured, he has been weighed and he has been found wanting. I cannot imagine what would befall my dear country if Jonathan stays in the presidency beyond May 2015.

Beazy: Travel website Flightfox just released a comprehensive list of the 24 best First Class in-flight cabins from around the world...and boy oh boy, what a way to travel. To produce the list, the website took into account everything from seat configuration, aisle access, suite privacy, type of champagne served etc.
Emirates Airline is known to have one of the best First Class seats in the world but Etihad recently launched a new First Class luxury suite named 'The Residence', and what luxury it is. See photos of the best First Class airline seats after the cut...
The photos shown do not do justice to 'The Residence' which I believe has to be No. 1. It comes complete with a sitting room with a 32" TV, a bedroom furnished with a double bed and a shower room for the 'chairman' to have a bath before the plane lands... Not to forget that each 'Residence' is assigned a dedicated butler.

The truth is, any transaction the world over that is done by cash, in a huge volume like this and in this manner can only point to one thing: It is an illegal transaction or a transaction for an illegal purpose that is meant to be untraceable. This was a covert, illegal operation that went horribly wrong. The position of the Federal Government is a co*k-and-bull story meant to be shoved down the throat of Nigerians, but some of us are not fools.
This sums it up...

Claiming responsibility of this illegal transaction was a poorly thought out move by the FG.

If only GEJ was a smart man, in situations like this a scapegoat would be planted who would bear the sins of the FG and would even be jailed... Afterwards, the person would be silently released and compensated beautifully...

A smart government should not claim responsibility for illegalities like this.

The FG is simply claiming responsibility for this dishonorable act in order to cover up the crimes of someone... Or else, how could the government legitimately be purchasing arms through such shady means...

Jonathan will go down in history as the most 'responsible' president who always claims responsibility and defends the ill actions of his allies... Not long ago the CBN governor raised an alarm of missing $20billion. I would have expected the president to do the usual thing which is to set up a committee to investigate the allegation (till eternity). Instead, the caring and 'responsible' president jumped immediately to the defense of whoever the culprits were and his response was "No money is missing... If money is missing, America will know," all in a bid to cover up some close allies.. undecided

I have always been very impressed with the sheer quality and quantity of roads and other projects in AKS. However on seeing the gargantuan allocation the state receives, and the sharp difference when compared to the amount other states receive, I am tempted to say Akpabio and his ilk are truly just bunch of rogues like all others.

With the knowledge of the amount the state receives, it is time for every sensible person to re-evaluate the projects in the state; are those projects really commensurate with the amount the state has received in the last 8 years??... I think the answer is a resounding NO!

OLADD: It's obvious you are one of Nigerians who have fallen prey to media propaganda and opposition gimmicks. Contrary to your view, Jonathan has set a precedence for probity and accountability in governance. The fact that he defends his officials who are accused of corruption does not suggest he supports corrupt acts. Rather, he does that to wade off those who are heck bent in witch hunting his officials for the sole purpose of pulling down his govt. Have you ever pondered why those who accused GEJ and his ministers of corruption have never gone beyond media noise and name calling? With the FOI and access to legal representation, why did they not seek further evidence for those alleged corrupt acts and use same for prosecution? Whether you believe or not, those alleged corruption are mere political mud sliding deployed by opposition political parties(APC to be precise) to win public support and portray GEJ as a corrupt president who should not be accorded the benefit of standing for reelection. If you and other accusers are so sure of those allegations, the courts are there for possible prosecution. Stop been used by APC to disparage the presidency.
Really?.. That it is all opposition propaganda?

Any slightly enlightened individual who has studied the Jonathan led governement since May 2010 does not need the opposition to see the stinking fabric Jonathan is made of. It would be a taboo for anyone to mention Jonathan's name in the same sentence as probity and accountability. It is just unfortunate that Jonathan's actions and inactions gives the opposition APC politicians too much credibility and too many reasons to criticise him due to his unprecedented affinity for corruption and corrupt people, coupled with his embarrassing lack of administrative skills.

@OLADD
I just checked your history and all your posts in the last 1 week you joined nairaland have been strictly in defense of anything affiliated with Jonathan. It appears you belong to one of the recently formed Jonathan campaign groups trying hard to justify whatever you have been paid. All I can say is goodluck in your hustle but based on my findings, I do not wish to continue in this argument with you.

We know that whoever the culprits are (APC or PDP), they would never be punished if they return to Nigeria. The only favour we ask from South Africa is to just lock the individuals up like they did to Henry Okah.

Another huge favour they can do is to mention the bloody names of the individuals..

Really? shocked

Please tell us about it.

Whether you like it or not, Jonathan will go down in history as the ONLY president who instead of dissociating himself from scandals (like his predecessors did), rather takes responsibility and even goes ahead to defend corrupt people openly...

There are 3 main reasons why there are several exposed cases of corruption under this regime:
1. The sheer number of heists perpetrated in this regime trumps all other regimes in Nigeria, even enemies of the president have the liberty to loot. It is only logical that with the magnitude if embezzlement going on, more cases would be exposed.
2. Nigerians are gradually becoming more vigilant and speaking out against cases of corruption and the social media boom makes it difficult to gag the masses.
3. The fact that no one is punished but rather perpetrators are defended by the president makes embezzlement an attractive trade for every iidiot to freely engage in. That's why we currently have even militants flying around in private jets.

I have always said that the amount of looted public funds in the past 4 years exceeds what was looted from Nigeria from 1979 till 2010.

I am thanking God not because of the report, but because no one has come out as an unsolicited attorney to take sides with the suspect based on political affiliations...

It isn't a new thing on this forum and in Nigeria lately that whenever a government official is accused, a lot of people prematurely jump in his defence because they always interpret the allegations as an assault on GEJ.
