Why dont you tell me since you're the one judging... |
rhames:Deadly ignorance more like... Stop judging what you dont know. |
naptu2:The fellow is just looking for who to blame for his life's problems. |

Wow! Just imagine who's talking about being logical.... You confidently accuse a person of being a criminal but you cant mention a single crime he committed, you cant mention who he killed or maimed or injured or harrassed? Okay even if you dont have specifics, I've asked you to just provide a single news or tabloid or blog link of any kind, be it real or even fake, where Pyrates were accused of committing any of the above crimes, but you cant. With a single google search, I can provide 100s of links of crimes committed by all other Uni confraternities in Nigeria, but the fact that neither you nor I can find a single story for Pyrates tells a clear story. But out of the abundance of your imagination, you just have a hunch that they're involved because you're desperate to blame someone for your discomfort.... And you think this behaviour makes you 'logical? Oga, there is a difference between a confraternity and criminal cults/gangster organisations. |
Wawelexy:Name the people he killed or maimed or injured or harrassed or forever be quiet. There's no rationality in just spewing allegations from our imaginations. Name them please, provide any evidence, big or small , even if it's fake news, just provide anything. |
rhames:The bolded part of your comment, where did you dig up that assumption from? |
Wawelexy:And you think your blame game against Wole tallies or makes any rational sense? Wole forms an organisation while at uni, he runs the organisation peacefully till he graduates and leaves school... Years later, another person forms a similar organisation which eventually degenerates to a gangster/criminal group. Several decades later, Wole's organisation is still existing peacefully and isnt involved in any disturbances but somehow, you think it makes sense to blame him for the actions of thugs and gangsters which he has no affiliations with? |
Wawelexy:Since we're in the season of irrational blames, why dont you blame the person who founded the University of Ibadan instead?... If that university wasnt founded, Soyinka wouldn't have even been a student there at all, let alone forming a confraternity. |
HolinessForever:Was about to say the same thing - Otedola bridge again! But then, forget that spiritual crap; in a serious society, an investigation would have been done and the root cause of these accidents at that location would have been determined very easily. But in Africa, we have useless leaders and we just dont like to task our brains, so we end up with no choice than to just tag every calamity 'spiritual'. |
There's nothing new here; every single Nigerian president since 1999 has done the same thing. Presidents pick their choice from the pool of Generals, and any General higher in rank than the chosen person has to retire. OBJ did it, Yaradua did it, GEJ did it and Buhari has done it. There's nothing illegal or unconstitutional about this so why is this one a special case? |
luvinhubby:Oga let us not start this dilly dallying up and down like children biko. You posted the TITLE from a report of which you either didn't read, or you probably read it but just trying to feign ignorance of its content, so as to deceive the hordes of ignorant fellows on this thread. I simply asked you to go and read the contents of the report you posted and you're here complaining that I'm asking for specifics? Yes I'm asking for specifics so as to expose you. The argument in this thread started with saying the Nigerian government is using Nigerian money to build a $2bn refinery in Niger republic. I proved that wrong, but then you shift the argument to saying the refinery being built by Nigerian govt is in Katsina. I've proven that wrong again that the katsina refinery is private owned and funded 100% privately; I didnt need to even drop any link, the link you posted by yourself highlighted that (see image below). So Oga what exactly is your argument still about? What else are you going to churn up this time?... Must we keep going about in circles like women or children? We complain that the govt is bad but whenever we want to criticise, we only dig up outright lies and distorted info to spread? How exactly does that make us different from the useless leaders we curse? WHAT EXACTLY IS YOUR NEXT ARGUMENT GOING TO BE? TUFIAKWA!
|
The powers that be that want to subjugate southern Kaduna would NEVER let this happen. |
I actually saw this coming. The level of substandard projects by Rochas is just criminal. What kind of contractor built all these things? Why's the contractor still walking freely? Why's even the governor still walking freely? |
luvinhubby:Lol... They say if you want to hide something from a black man, just place it in a book. If you want to hide something from even an educated Nigerian intellectual, no need to even place it in a book, just chuck it into a short report but make the report's title vague or distorted, and voila! You will deceive millions; exactly the same strategy used to propagate the popular $1 =N1 saga. Why dont you open the report you just posted and show us where it's written that the refinery is being built by Nigerian govt? @Luvinhubby, why do I have a feeling you know the truth but just want an argument to sway the illiterates on this thread into further ignorance. Can you swear on your life you didnt open that report and see where it's written that the refinery is private? |
owobokiri:The AKK pipeline currently being built by the Nigerian govt today for $2.8bn is strictly within Nigeria and runs from Ajaokuta to Kano, Period! It forms part of the Trans-Nigerian Gas pipeline system and as absolutely nothing to do with Niger republic. In the future yes, there's a 'plan' to build and connect this pipeline to the Trans-Saharan Gas Pipeline system which will take gas from Nigeria through Niger, Algeria and to Europe; but for now, it's purely a Nigerian affair. Your claim that the AKK pipeline is being built to Niger republic is outright false. And No, I didnt need to use google to find that out cos I'm very well aware of the project. It's called the AKK (ajaokuta-kaduna-kano) pipeline, not the AKK-Niger pipeline. Abeg stop all these your ethnic hate driven arguments which is forcing you to turn logic on it's head. You can get this info from a simple Google search, haba! |
Igboid:First of all, there's nothing I said in this thread that has anything to do with tribe, but obviously, a typical Nigerian idiot cant discuss any issue without talking tribe, so I'm not surprised at your repeated reference to Igbo this, Igbo that.... But then, since you want to talk tribe, you should know that spewing idiotic nonsense on this forum doesnt make you a better Igbo person than myself.... Idiocy isnt an Igbo virtue, idiocy is a virtue only for morons. The refinery project is Katsina is a private refinery; its not being built by the Nigerian govt, and its being built in Katsina state Nigeria, not in Niger republic like you and some other ignorant fellows are spewing on this thread.... Yes the raw material (crude oil) for the refinery is to be piped from oil fields in Niger Republic, not from Nigerian oil fields down south. Niger has oil fields and all of this information is all over the news and on the internet, but how exactly can I even expect a tribal dumbo to know this? And lastly, the AKK pipeline I was discussing with the other fellow on this thread is a GAS pipeline, not a crude oil pipeline. There's a difference between a crude oil pipeline and a gas pipeline. Stop disgracing yourself and family. |
Igboid:Yes I am proudly Hausa Fulani to idiots who cant use their brains. Meanwhile you posted a link to a private refinery which is planned to be built in Katsina. But in the world of moronic idiots, a private refinery in Katsina is actually a refinery built by Nigerian government in Niger... It's in this Nairaland one knows that mad people arent only those ones walking tattered in refuse dumps. |
owobokiri:Oga the pipeline is between extending a gas network from Ajaokuta to Kano; it is a Nigerian pipeline, not a Niger republic pipeline. Money spent on that pipeline is for Nigeria's economic development; it is not for Niger, gosh! Yes there's a future plan that one day, the pipeline would be extended to Algeria (of course travelling through Niger which seems to give you an erection). Once the pipeline can be extended to Algeria, then it will be connected to the already existing pipeline in infrastructure between Algeria and Spain (Europe). The overall system will form the Trans-Saharan gas pipeline which will get Nigerian gas to Europe. If Nigerian gas can be connected to Europe via a pipeline, it will be the biggest single infrastructural feat which can double Nigeria's economic fortunes overnight, in addition to eliminating the environmentally destructive gas flaring in the Niger-delta oil fields. That would be a massive economy boosting project for Nigeria especially with Nigeria's vast gas reserves and the declining value of oil. For now, what the govt is building is just a simple pipeline from Ajaokuta to Kano which is purely a Nigerian affair. The all important Trans-Saharan gas pipeline dream is still a pipe dream that has been in concept board since the 70's or 80's, and which may continue to be a dream even in the next 30 years. Go and read about the importance of the Trans-Saharan Gas Pipeline and the economic benefits of Nigeria being able to be a direct gas supplier to the European market and stop all these your ethnic hate driven ignorant criticism. The pipeline system has absolutely nothing to do with Niger. |
limeta:Yes, Im glad you agree; in the world of ignoramuses, its common knowledge. Goodluck! |
owobokiri:Ajaokuta to Kano to Kaduna gas pipeline is in Niger republic? I actually thought I was just talking to an ignorant person; didnt know it was far worse. Goodnight! |
Elliot2:I say refinery no exist, you swear say the refinery dey. Now I ask you, oya tell us the name of this $2billion refinery wey you say Nigerian government dey build for Niger, you dey ask me to use internet. Na you dey claim say refinery exist, but you want me to help you find the name? |
dimple571991:Irrespective of what good he does, the man, just like Abbo, has no right to slap anyone. The man is a sick fellow and if he can do this several times in public and even on camera, only God knows what his wife would be facing at home. |
The man is sick. What he just needs is to slap the wrong person that would ensure he loses on finger. |
limeta:Did you ask the OP to show you a single evidence to support what he wrote? You just swallowed it joyfully for sentimental reasons But you want me to show you evidence when I say the OP wrote nonsense? Okay! Buhari is an Archangel in heaven. Why dont you also come and show us evidence that the above sentence is false since we're all choosing to turn logic on its head this evening. |
luvinhubby:@Luvinhubby even you too?... Nigerian FG is building a $2bn refinery in Niger republic with Nigerian money; is that what you want me to contradict? Luvinhubby even you too? Anyway, if na you talk am, I agree; Buhari is building a $2bn refinery in Niger. ![]() |
owobokiri:Ignorance has suddenly become an industry in Nigeria! God help us! The statement by the Op says Nigerian govt is building a $2bn refinery in Niger; you instantly swallowed the nonsense and you're masturbating over it? I tried to help gullible fellows like yourself by stating upfront that the report is outright false. But instead of giving it a thoughy, you instantly jumped into attack mode calling me an enemy who's defending evil. Since when did ignorance become a virtue? Maybe if I leave you to wallow in your ignorance, that would have made me a better person? So if I had swallowed and concurred with the story (even though I know its false), I guess in your eyes, that would have made me a better and upright citizen defending good? Then you come up with a totally unrelated AKK pipeline saying it's AKK pipeline and not refinery... How exactly is the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano pipeline in Niger republic?.... Your ignorance seems to be dancing on steroids this evening. IF clarifying false info makes me an enemy in the eyes of many fellows like yourself who choose ignorance, then I gladly accept the enemy tag. |
Elliot2:You're simply an ignorant dumbo who's obsessively in love with his ignorance... Nothing the OP said is true; it's either twisted facts and outright lies, but just look at the confidence with which you desperately swallowed and concurred with the lies, and see how violently you attacked me for trying to educate you... Tufiakwa! You're a hopeless moronic case. Okay, what's the name of the $2billion refinery being built in Niger by Nigerian govt? |
limeta:THe info dropped by the Op is largely false, that's what i'm saying. Nigerian leaders are shiit; but when we want to criticise leaders and the only topics we can come up with are ignorant lies and falsehood, then we are no different from the shitty leaders. |
FreeIgbos:Who exactly is the fool here? The one who deliberately twists a fact and also adds outright falsehood, or the one who has asked yuo to simply state correct information, and keep the debate within the limits of facts? Yes the govt plans to build a railway that connects 3 states of Kano, Jigawa and Katsina, and which extends to a city in Niger. The railway is about 284km in all and about 55km of it will be within Niger. The propriety of that action isnt the topic of discussion here; nobody said it's right to build a railway into Niger, I never said it was right or said I was in support of it. The issue being debated here is the silly sensational headline which is saying $1.96billion Nigerian money is being used to fund a project in Niger republic. The report goes further to claim $2bn Nigerian money is being used for a refinery in Niger; an outright stupid lie. If you cant still discern the deliberate distortion of facts in that report, but want to cling on to obvious falsehood for sentimental reasons, then the fool here is very obvious. |
Xiaomi1:Stop confusing me with your father and your family members. |
Workch:By questioning the correctness of my response, you made it seem like you disagreed; I didnt know you were the OP and didnt think you were trying to be a debate moderator. English language shouldnt be too difficult; if you were not in disagreement (as your question appeared to make it seem), you should have simply said so, haba! |
