OdumegwuOjukwu:If he resigns, that would set a very dangerous precedence, not just in the south-east, but across Nigeria. What happens next will simply be, once politicians in a state dont like the governor, they pay masked thugs to go about unleashing anarchy across the state until the governor resigns. So I'm sorry, Uzodimma resigning isn't a solution to the current problem. You said he invited military against ESN, but No, what he did was more like inviting the military against paid armed thugs who were already constituting a nuisance on behalf of disgruntled politicians in the state, and of course disguising under the mask of ESN to draw the sympathy of the people (that's all a scam, you're free to swallow it if you want). THe real ESN has been preparing and doing their thing in the shadows in other states, how come it's in Imo they suddenly started showing face publicly if they aren't doubling as political tools? |
OdumegwuOjukwu:So because one of two disgruntled criminal politicians are unhappy with Uzodimma, they unleash violent thugs all over the state to go about shooting sporadically, killing security personnel and innocent people under the guise of ESN or Unknown Gunmen (UGM), and then your solution to the madness is for the governor to resign? Isnt that exactly what the sponsors of the mayhem in Imo want to happen? And if the governor resigns, hasn't that set a very unpleasant precedent for politicians to repeat same in other states? I shake my head at the ignorance of the people applauding the nonsense going on in Imo, thinking it has anything to do with IPOb or Fulani herdsmen, whereas it's purely just anti-APC / anti-Uzodimma sentiments at play. Fulani herdsmen have attacked every other state of the south east, but there's not a single record of herdsmen attacks in Imo. How come the ESN or UGM that's meant to be fighting killer herdsmen has chosen a peaceful eventless Imo state as the epicentre of their activities? Of course we wouldn't notice the flawed logic in these trends because sentimentally, we hate Uzodimma. |
Tareq1105:I'm actually lost, what exactly are you insinuating? That I'm blind or that I'm defending the man? |
Felabrity:I just told you I have watched it and there's nothing in that video that proves he deliberately moved to block the woman; he simply moved out of the way cos he was blocking Pmb. Let's agree to disagree, I see it differently. |
Felabrity:I watched it very well; after shaking buhari, he simply moved out of the way for buhari to shake others. There's nothing in the video that shows the man 'deliberately' tried to block pmb from shaking the woman. THe man is an extremist but this video is absolute nonsense. |
Video doesn't show anything. |
Edusouls:There's no way he would have jumped in the water if he didnt know how to swim. But being able to swim isn't the same thing as being able to rescue a drowning person; rescuing a drowning person takes much more skill and experience, but so many people (even good swimmers) don't know this. |
Originalsly: AsherAmari:One thing I know for sure is, there's absolutely no way in the world he would have jumped into that river if he didnt know how to swim. But something a lot of people sadly do not know is that being able to swim is totally different from being able to save a drowning person. Saving a drowning person requires a whole different level of skill and experience. This is actually a very sad story to hear, RIP to him. |
obonujoker:Lol... If we must be practical and true to ourselves, then we must understand that not everything we do even as Christians must glorify God or bring people into the kingdom. How exactly does eating meals in a nice restaurant, or watching football or movies, or going on holidays, or playing a game of tennis glorify God? Does that necessarily mean these things annoy God? The only case against cigarettes is that it has the potential to harm our bodies when consumed in excess. God wouldn't exactly smile at us for harming ourselves intentionally. |
aysuprano:Put these sentiments aside, business was conducted and he was paid for his services; no one really owes anyone anything. The same way we go about with suits and ties looking for an employer to give us a job contract, do you then say the employer 'used and dumped' you after your contract expires? Were you not paid? Would it have been better to remain unemployed and unpaid? You claim 'he wasnt helped', but No, when someone sees me hungry and gives me a job which pays me, albeit for just a while, that person has helped me. The person isnt my father and cant be expected to keep feeding me for life so we really need to toss these sentiments aside. |
But do they owe him anything? |
This Garba Shehu man is really a senseless slowpoke. |
meobizy:If we check your own belly now, e go be like elephant. But you're quick to call someone else lazy. ![]() |
catfrog10:Lol... this one has nothing to do with the blackman being unintelligent. The only unintelligent one here is YOU. The least an educated person would do on hearing such news is to ask 'WHY' an act was done; that's how intelligent people learn. But instead you swiftly chose to insult yourself and your race out of ignorance. |
jamiudinho:Hypocrite? Are you sure you know the meaning of the word you just used? Several people have already explained to you on this thread why the govt had to use the plane of a private individual for that trip/ transaction, but obviously in your bigoted ways, just to fuel and justify your religious intolerance, you chose to believe the FG was arming the military to kill Muslims; that's all you and your folks could interpret from the fight against bokoharam because a Christian president. Bokoharam members were obviously 'Muslim brothers' to you then cos they engaged mainly in bombing churches. I hope you and your brothers up north are happy with what bokoharam has become, murdering your people in thousands and rendering your region a wasteland. You've even added banditry to it to completely waste yourselves and you support these vampires at every opportunity cos some divisive cleric taught you to believe Christians are your problem. |
jamiudinho:So the fight against bokoharam terrorists is indeed viewed by northern Muslims as a fight against northern Muslims?... Buying arms for the Nigerian military is interpreted by northern Muslims as a ploy by Christians to exterminate Muslims. Nigeria is indeed an ireedamably messed up place. Nigeria is truly finished. |
oshozondii:I dont normally insult my elders but on this one, Lai Mohammed and whoever else it is that conceived this stupid statement deserve all the insults they get. |
Arewa1stSon: |
Rehabilitation because of shisha? Are we sure we're really okay in Nigeria? |
helinues:What exactly is this supposed to mean? That it is right to forcefully abduct and marry off a teenager without parental consent? Must everything be politics to some of you? |
BigDawsNet:Exactly my thoughts; the video just looks scripted to me. Apologies to 'shim' if I'm wrong. |
Enceladus:Why do you think what Nigeria did is different from what the US did? I didnt read anywhere that physical money was printed. |
plaindealer:Nigeria is actually not investor friendly, very far from it... Infact, Nigeria as it is currently is extremely hostile to investors, both local and foreign. The only reason investors still come to Nigeria despite the harsh environment is because of Nigeria's market power; i.e. there's just so so much money to be made in Nigeria, so some investors brave the odds. Even the twitter guys just said it openly, despite not opening shop in Nigeria (for obvious reasons), their target market is still Nigeria, because of the money to be made. You talk about tech investments rushing to Nigeria, the summary of my point is, if the Nigerian govt can wake up and do what its meant to do, the influx of those tech companies would multiply in exponential proportions. We are very far from where we should be. |
rumaabk:Clueless leaders feel the only way to create employment is just to hire people into an already overbloated and redundant civil service. |
Not just Kaduna state but just about all 36 states and the federal government. The civil service is overbloated with personnel who hardly do anything but just take salaries. And when a new government comes in, the only thing our leaders know how to do in the area of unemployment, is to cluelessly recruit thousands into an already redundant civil service. |
News already sent out can never be retrieved from the minds of people... |
thebosstrevor1:Hmmm... never knew it was IPOB members who conducted ENDSARS protests and also vandalised properties in Lagos and other locations. |
This actually makes sense somehow. I've always asked, "why Imo state?" ESN is meant to protect the southeast against marauding herdsmen. There have never really been any cases of herdsmen attacks in Imo; so why is Imo suddenly the starting point and epicentre of the so called ESN / unknown gunmen activities? How exactly did ESN suddenly lose focus, leave herdsmen and start going after police stations and prisons? Something tells me the so called 'unknown gunmen' have absolutely nothing to do with ESN but are just armed political thugs playing politics. The current crisis in Imo is just a local ApC vs PDP vs AA, Rochas vs Uzodimma political battle. |
Penguin2:When bokoharam started, they first started as a peaceful sect, attqcking no one. When they eventually began attacks, for several months and even years, they never attacked any innocent civilians, they only attacked police station to station, throwing bombs, chasing policemen away, and freeing prisoners. When they eventually started attacking civilians, they started with Christians and southerners. We all know how things progressed after northerners kept making silly excused for them; the monster grew wild cos whether North, East, West or South, baby monsters will always grow wild and one day consume their masters. By the way, Imo state has never really recorded any cases of herdsmen attacks even long before ESN or 'unknown gunmen'. So why on earth is the supposed ESN campaign against herdsmen having Imo state as its centrepoint? Why is ESN flexing muscles by burning police stations around Imo state where there's really no herdsmen menace? Something tells me this is just a local political APC vs PDP vs Rochas gimmick against Uzodimma. |
iRepNaija1:You dont have to care, it's a public forum and you arent the only one reading what I write... Feel free to ignore my messages if they make you uncomfortable. |
ogbonti:Corrected! |
iRepNaija1:Well, i wouldn't monitor or stalk anyone; I would only apply a little bit of wisdom in my daily activities. E.g. I wouldnt encourage a situation where my friend or even brother goes over to stay with my wife alone in the house repeatedly or for extended periods. If that's what you refer to as 'monitoring my significant other as a child', then oh yes, I will... Not that I dont trust my wife's discipline, or my brother's discipline, but rather because I'm wise enough to know that discipline alone isn't sufficient to prevent certain regretable mishaps. Believing in the strength of your discipline is usually the mother of all f**kups. |
