UncleJudax:Hmm.. this must be a new development for Greece. |
henkey:As expected, no parasitic state will support state collection of VAT. Ebonyi obviously receives more revenue from Abuja than it generates, so this stance isn't surprising. |
UncleJudax:I dont think they require either. Despite your vaccination status, most EU countries still require you to show a negative covid test result taken at least 72 hours before you get on the flight to their country. Full vaccination status will only save you the inconvenience of having to quarantine yourself when you arrive the country. The only difference is that most EU countries now accept Rapid antigen tests which you can even do at the airport prior to departure, but Nigeria (and many other countries) still accepts only PCR tests. |
UncleJudax:Do countries really accept vaccination status inplace of PCR test result as a pass to board planes? Which countries? |
tannystacey:I think you will still have the option to pay online before flying to Nigeria if you prefer that. |
RedEnergy:I think you misunderstood the message. With this development, nothing has actually changed. You will still have to do the PCR test 72 hours before departure from wherever you are, and another PCR test 7 days after you land in Nigeria. Only change here is that the day 7 PCR test which you hitherto had to pay for online (using their convoluted/confusing website) before boarding the flight to Nigeria, they're saying you can now choose to make the day 7 test payment when you arrive Nigeria. |
If cows really get to cost 2million, it would be the best thing to ever happen to cow business... Within a year, watch as Igbos go fulltime into the cow business and render the marauding herdsmen irrelevant. |
ryloy:Go back and read the caption, it says "SINCE WW2", so that cancels the first 4 wars in your list. THen unto the next on your list: * Cold War wasn't exactly a war, so it doesn't count. * Gulf war wasn't really a victory with Saddam still remaining in power * War in Iraq was a colossal failure because since they left Iraq, Iraq has never known peace. Except the killing of Saddam and installation of ISIS is what you term 'victory' * ISIS war in Syria? Silly me, I didnt know your comment was sarcasm ![]() |
FakeUnity:Zon B kill you there! |
RodgersAkpafu:Nobody who commented on first and almost the entire second page bothered to read the article. It's just a symptom of a great problem we have in Nigeria. |
thebosstrevor1:The oil price excuse has since expired. Oil has been selling steady above $60/bbl for a while now; in fact, oil price is over $70 today, so the oil price excuse in invalid. Likewise the Covid lockdown pandemic excuse which was viable last year 2020 is no longer valid today. The fact that the Naira still continues its freefall under current circumstances is inexcusable, and an indictment of the current administration. No excuse works again for the criminal incompetence of this administration. |
thebosstrevor1:This one has obviously been fully indoctrinated by some jihadist imam to hate and kill Christians, with the silly excuse that Christians are aggressors. As part of your indoctrination, you're made to believe that any occurrence perceived to be anti-Islam, must have been perpetrated by a Christian. Explains why an atheist journalist in far away Belgium made remarks perceived to be anti-Islam, thoughtless indoctrinated folks like yourself in northern Nigeria hit the streets looking for people to slaughter and churches to burn. Everything to guys is an excuse to kill 'infidels'. To further justify you vampiric bloodthirst, you even had to claim BH was started by Christian just to sustain your jihadic onslaught. And then your endless venomous hatred for GEJ all because he was a Christian from a part of Nigeria you perceive to be Igbo land. You claimed a Christian GEJ started the killing of unarmed bokoharam adherents, but obviously this is your love for blood thwarting your reasonable memory. Bokoharam which was bombing police stations and churches almost on a weekly basis is what you call 'unarmed'? By the way it was a Fulani Muslim president who first sent the military after BH when they got violent, but your religious bigotry and desperation to justify your onslaught against Christian 'infidels' has just made you blame GEJ for things done under Yaradua. Anyway, God has been merciful enough to ensure the monsters you created and have nurtured for over 10 years now, have restricted their activities largely to your zone. I'm sure this must make you really frustrated cos your wish is to see Christians slaughtered. Spit! |
hollywater: ![]() Hotel costs these days na wa. 20k cant even get one a decent hotel bed in Lagos. And then everywhere one turns, na runsgirls ! ![]() |
MrCover:I can totally relate to this. Got into Nigeria few weeks ago, didnt even stay at a hotel, but after basic necessary expenses for the first week, my account was down by N254,000, in 7 days... I've refused to check my account balance since then. Every meal costs between 4 - 7k... Very disturbing! Hopefully things are better outside Lagos. |
sunnnnyuu:Lol... This your advice is best suited for you.... Who was abusing you? |
Omo... this shiit is returning with a big bang! Be careful people! |
Blakjewelry:If oil is found in a new basin, then it's no longer a frontier basin for exploration, so the 30% thing ceases to apply. |
chloride6:"Take 3% for mining and give us 30% for host community" This your above suggestion can best be described as the disastrous consequence of ignorance. You obviously havent read the report or just lack the capacity to understand it... This was how the white men of old cheated some of our illiterate African forefathers, who would always dive at 30% thinking it was bigger than 3%; they simply didnt have the wisdom to ask the valid question '30% of what?' 3% for host communities may be small, and 30% for frontier development may be too much; but definitely, when placing the outcome of both percentages side by side, 3% of the operating cost of oil companies has clearly always been larger than 30% of NNPC's profits. Hopefully you now see why your above suggestion will be a disaster? cc: sunnnnyuu |
okefranci:Comedians actually have brains, very functional brains! But I cant really say the same for this Okefranci fellow who thinks a career in comedy automatically means the individual is stupid |
McOluOmo:So a real nigga is basically one birthing bastard children all over the place? |
This story get as e be. From the title, one would think the man's death had something to do with Yusuf Buhari. |
Omo this one make me laugh... ![]() |
Zenithpeak:Enough of all these 'sovereignty' hullabaloo and nonsense; what's the value of the so called sovereignty? Like I said before, what sort of human takes a loan with a clear intention not to pay back? What sort of human takes a loan he doesn't intend to payback, and then is angry because the asset he acquired with the loan can be repossessed by the lender? What sort of toxic beggar does that? If we cant payback, then the Chinese should take over the damn railways; it wouldn't stop ordinary Nigerians from still making use of and enjoying the trains. In fact, the trains would even be managed better in control of the Chinese than what we have currently, so why exactly should I lose sleep over this? Nigeria currently owes China less than $5bn, is that an amount we cant pay back in 20 years? Why's there so much focus on the CHinese loans and no noise about other foreign loans which run into several tens of billions of dollars? What's really the noise about sovereignty and even the repeated use of the phrase 'Chinese Slavery'? You see how you've been caught by sensationalism? So if China operates a rail it built in Nigeria with its own money, that automatically amounts to Nigerians being slaves to China? THat's what you want me to be worried about right?... When an outsider hears the sensational use of the words 'sovereignty' and 'slavery', one would even think the Chinese would be taking over Aso Rock. Abeg make we rest! |
Zenithpeak:I can read and assimilate very well, but the big question is, can you analyse beyond what you assimilated? Or you just fall for the sensationalism? How exactly does that article invalidate what I said earlier? The question I asked earlier was, "how much do you think Nigeria currently owes China?" Nigeria currently owes China less than $5billion, and Nigeria's got over 20 years to pay that off. Is that amount really worthy of the noise and paranoia being spread around about sovereignty? On the flipside, why should anyone in their right mind even take a loan with an intention not to payback? If the Nigerian govt is stupid enough not to payback, then the Chinese should bloody take over the assets. If there's anything I know too well, the new railways and remodelled airports would certainly be managed better and would be more beneficial to ordinary Nigerians if they're run by the Chinese. |
Zenithpeak:Where do people even get this weird assumption from that China can take over Nigeria? How much do you think Nigeria owes China currently? |
Funny how several folks here keep saying "we dont want it! we dont want it!!" as if to say someone was offering it to them. Who gave you the impression it was brought for you? The doses aren't enough for those who even want them. |
Lol.. this has to be the most irresponsible, stupid and divisive headline I've come accross in a very long time ![]() |
Iceman2017:But I thought Trump started the process of withdrawing US military from Afghanistan, so how exactly would this have been different with Trump? |
dre11:Nigerian politicians sef; what's the big deal about having a knee surgery and why must they desperately keep it a secret? What's the big deal about a person who did a knee surgery using a walking stick till full recovery? Even a 20year old youth who goes through a similar process would use crutches. What's the whole hush-hush all about? |
Listening to the recording (which I'm certain most people here didnt bother to do), I dont see anything wrong which the man said. |
How I wish pressmen will follow up this case. Cos you can bet your last dime, this nigga would disappear from detention in 48 hours. |
