Flagrant disregard for the rule of law and court orders in Nigeria is so appalling. This is not a banana republic!!
Buhari really finished the country with Lawlessness. Nnamdi has open a gateway to anarchy. The last one would be when Judiciary will ask tinubu to step down for a rerun and he will vehemently refuse. Since the Judiciary is dead Nigeria just need one ignition and the atomic bomb will explode. The next generation won't value any judiciary nonesense. Only those who has Ak47 will rule the land and control things in the zoological Republic. Asari Dokubo is getting prepared, IPOB don prepare already, Fulani janjaweedds dey ready, Bokoharam, bandits all dey ready. Only Afonjalistic Ronus... are still sleeping because they are thinking it will Favour there family, sorry for them.

hazinibones:
Hello Nairalanders,

I have this decision bothering me. I know it is a personal problem, but I believe everyone need some guidance at every point in life.

Straight to it, I have been considering Japa for over two years now and I think the opportunity might be here but I am having a cold feet.

I recently started working for a foreign company as a software engineer and the pay is decent when converted to Naira. Enough to live an averagely comfortable life. But my challenge now is that, I have been talking to some friends that are outside the country and they keep telling me how life is not easy there and cost of living is super expensive out there.

I currently earn $3000, which I plan to either save and travel or startup a business here in Nigeria. Please, Nairalanders with experience, is it worth japa to live an almost average life for almost the rest of your life or investing here in Nigeria and growing wealth?

The healthcare and quality education benefit is there as an advantage for japa though.

Thanks in advance for your responses!
I don japa ones come back sha... Nigeria is not safe and life is at risk here. If you japa the o ly thing you will miss is cheap big nyash ladies and Nigerian food. Those two and too big to worry about sha... My advice is for you to stay here and marry then japa with your family.

Government of the foolish by the foolish and for the foolish. All the problems in the east... sit at home is your biggest threat. Start by fixing bad roads, providing constant electricity and listening to the people. Automatically, they will start listening to you and obey you. You move around in bullet proof car and expect helpless civilians to risk there lives for your selfish interests

Late last year, the company I worked with decided to reduce workers as a result of the high inflation. I happened to be one of the victims of the mass reduction.

I decided to use my little savings to buy a tricycle so I can be using it to do town service but my fiancee outrightly rejected such idea stressing that my societal standing is above that. After intense argument I went ahead and bought the tricycle. Since that day she has not picked my calls, call me or come to visit me.

I have moved on.

Politics › Re: "No More Sit At Home"—Enugu Residents Protest Against Criminals Enforcing It by occfx: 5:44pm On Jul 24, 2023
Skyview01:
Lets be honest, It is not totally their faults.

IPOB criminal elements enforcing sit-at-home usually would attack individuals who dared to go out. The government should guarantee security of the people. That is what governments do all over the world.
But before it was the other way round. Soldiers were flogging and killing people east and you guys were hailing them. Now the criminals want to do it themselves and you guys are still complaining. The truth is black man shouldn't handle Ak47 because, they don't know how to use it. For the past two years I never heard soldier flog or kill anybody again in the east. Even the gutter drinking jamboree I never watch again for a very long time. It's only the leaders in the east can fix this problem but unfortunately, I am not sure they have the capacity. That's the problem.

Haymus007:
A friend of mine borrowed some money from me and since then he has refused to return back my money. I still don't know why people can be so desperate when in need of some amount of money for something urgent/important but fail to return it ASAP.
Money is energy, it cannot exist in raw form but can be transformed from one form to another. The problem they have is to covert the output back to energy (money) and return it. The money combust in there hands like in petrol engine but they didn't go anywhere with or do any work with then suddenly they see it burn in form of smoke. It is as if you didn't give them anything because they cannot return smoke to you

Don't mind my English pls

Anytime we had an argument with my wife, she utter some words that I can't even tell that to my enemy...."I am tired of the marriage", "I am always praying for u to die" " I always pray something terrible should happen to you" and so on....

I am Muslim, we are married three years ago and blessed with one child, I can't stay for a good one week in my house peacefully without having misunderstanding with her......i am depressed, worried, always thinking.....
Ask her on a good time if she wants a divorce not when you have an argument. Any time she is in a happy mode like whenever your pocket is loaded and she is close and romantic pull the question. If she says God forbid or all those nonesense, ask her why she always wish you dead on any small argument. From there you will know what next to do but if you are the type of couple that never had a good time in the house, then problem dey.

A man man was caught on CCTV camera this morning stealing a jumbo loaf of bread, which I believe he wants to feed his family with.

He was thoroughly beaten and disgraced, they had to call his wife to witness the show of shame.

Some people said,he has been caught several times in the act.that he's a kleptomaniac.

I feel instead of going thru that channel of lifting the loaf of bread, he should have simply asked for help from friends n relatives.

I believed they would have come thru For him, and he has a respected aura.

ibechris:
U must be very lucky to be among this age brackets.

That is because most of us who just clocked 40 or above can not reverse the hands of nature.

However, this the time and age when u should have nothing to do with laziness especially the men amongst u, hustle, work smart and hard if possible, do not cheat to enrich yourselves... it will backfire badly.

Save money, this is one crucial area that most of us don't keep up with. Many see this as the biggest task ever and like I have written in one of my writes up here, it was the money I saved during my early age as a student and during my service year that has made me what I am today. Save to invest, without savings u can't invest.

Avoid friends who only take from u, there is a motive in every relationship except for the needy among us, any relationship that is one sided and takes more from u...brothers and sisters, pls run oh.

Education is good but learn a handiwork, it is essentially important, especially a trade. U can never go wrong in it. Most igbo guys have demystified these areas and have hit it big time. The situation in the country has forwarned us that, there is not future for many in 8-5 jobs these days as most guys wished they had learnt a trade before now. After NYSC many of u will understand what I am trying to say.

Have a target, there is no rich man without a target, in fact, every organisation has its own target which they intend to achieve within a given time.

Learn to discuss ur plans with ur parents and see how far u can go...but in all, plan your life adequately

Take risk...it is very important u engage yourself in business that is profitable and risky at times and this will help u to be smart and better in any engagement u find yourself. To add to this, i have never seen or heard any rich man that has not lost money but there are many countless poor men and women who have never lost money, hence their poverty.

Finally, plan your life early and live a good live afterwards.

Good luck.
If you miss your 20s...you don miss be that. I made so much money in my 20s but I squandered it though not all. My mistake was not going into real estate big time. Well, there is still small time remaining for me to make amends. If you no achieve basic needs of a man during your 20s, e go hard. Having your own business, build your own house, marry the wife of your youth, have children on time and retire before 50 to your personal investments.
