Family › Re: When Is The Right Time For A Child To Start School ? by Offpoint1: 4:38pm On Jan 18, 2024 |
DivinegiftofGod: My brother I'm telling you and the school fees no be here. As at that time.(2014) the kg pupils we're paying 90k per term and parents were willing to pay just to dump their wards and be off to work. Some even do after school because they work on the island and don't get back until 8pm due to the VI and third mainland traffic jam and they pay extra. I don't know how much the school is charging now though but people are still taking their children there.
To me all is competition. My child is attending so so school. Duh.
If I have my way, I'll homeschool my children from preschool to basic four. The only reason I'll enroll him/ her in a formal school is for common entrance. You just use the right word "DUMP" Gen-Z parents prioritize money over children. just 6 months some women will stop natural breastfeeding, dump the child with househelp or crèche to feed them with formulas. The useless competition is the worse of all. |

Hathor5: I agree that at 2 a child is too young to be in school but I don`t agree that you have no time to bond with them if they, for example, are in a creche. Many kids enjoy playing in small groups with other kids and learn a lot by doing so, not in terms of formal education, but social skills and they have a lot of fun there. Being at home all day long can be boring. I understand social bonding, all of that can be done at home during the first 3 years. Let me play with other neighbors kids in the hood, just draft time they can spend outside. |

kernniejay: My first child, a son, started with "Baby class" when he was around 2 years because of how busy we the parents were at work. That really helped his IQ and made him a fast learner because when he gets home, he began to recite ABC and 123 that he was hearing from the older children class. Today, he is very brilliant and sharp. I know most parents these dumps their kids in school early because they're busy making money. Your child would have still been able to recite those things you listed there at home, you teach him/her |

DivinegiftofGod: This is a big issue. I saw one this week. Looks like a six month old baby. I shout say this one too don start school? With uniform o..
As I was taking them rhymes, he didn't even mind me and was just pacing up and down the classroom. I said what are parents looking for bikonu? This one that should still be sucking breast, they carry uniform hang for him neck. Though what I like about him is that he didn't cry or disturb as long as we didn't give him any task to do. lol..
The right age should be 4 but schools admit a year+ and 2 years old cos I remember when working as a full timer, all my pupils celebrated their 2nd birthday in kg 1 and as we were moving to kg2 they were already 2. I moved with them because parents say na me must handle their ward in the next class o. Na run I run that ebola period
Most of them dey secondary school now. Chai my babies. Nigerians just have this mentality that if their kid don't start school within a year, it's lack of money. Let's be frank, a 2 years child have no business in school. It's total wastage. Best is home school them. Parents nowadays prioritize money over their kids. Imagine a child of 1 year is already a burden they have to dump in school. No time to bond with them |

TimeManager: The North is not ready, kidnapping started in the southeast but when it was about to swallow them up, they came together to form Bakassi boys which salvaged the ugly situation. When One Million boys were becoming a menance in SW, the leaders including traditional leaders and OPC rose to the challenge. Yahaya Bello recently derobed some traditional rulers in Kogi state and were exiled out of the state to neighbouring states for alleged involvements in insecurity, that sent a strong signal. I was shocked reading an account by a man in Zamfara whose daughter was forcefully married off to a group of bandits. Funnily, the man did not raise an alarm when the bandits had asked him not to give out his daughter to someone else, he didn't report to the security when the bandits gave him an ultimatum to bring back his daughter from her husband, he only contacted the security after the bandits came back to attack him and went to his daughter's house and took her away from her husband.
-kiss the truth! You've said the truth. North know their problems, their elites are involve. The bandits are mere foot soldiers |

olalekan1: I did not see coordination here at. See the commandant stressing himself to control his boys, at a point they even mistake themselves for the bandits. I guess that is how they end up killing civilians. Common binoculars, they don't have to look at far place for bandits. All I see is wasting of bullets to scare bandits away so that those ones can later come back. I'm honestly disappointed at the video. Some don't even have projection gear. Now I know why they can't win this war. No tactics, everyone just moving everywhere and firing everywhere depending on luck to shoot one bandit. |

RepoMan007: by eliminating the need to import petrol, diesel, and more with forex, forex prices will crash thereby strengthening the naira. That means imported commodities like food, clothes and more will cost less to import and thus cheaper. It affects the common man irrespective of whether fuel goes for N1500 or N350 a litre. Is there any local product that's cheap in Nigeria? What's the price difference between local rice and foreign rice? |

Last thing I'll ever do on earth is to date a woman taller than me. It bruise my ego when I walk by a fellow guy taller than me at 6/2, talk more of a woman.
Ladies, a guy having a dangling facid dxck doesn't mean his dxck is huge. There are 2 types of dxxks on men... shower and grower. This guy is a "Shower"... Those you should fear are the growers. It's scientifically proven, growers have bigger and longer dxxks when erected.
My advice to you, when you see a guy with a small dxck when it's flaccid, run for your life. |
