Thank you mamas I feel much better than I did earlier on. I’ve read everyone’s replies I think I was just feeling overwhelmed, being a ftm I’m just trying to get used to it. Embracing every flaw and imperfection from now, and I know it will be worth it when I meet the love of my life in March 2020. Thanks for all the support love u all. |
I looked in the mirror today and I cried. I’m just feeling so down at the moment I don’t know if it’s hormones but I’m just feeling so out of it, like I just can’t recognise the human being in front of me. I know I should be grateful for this blessing but I feel I’m losing myself in the process. My face has become so much darker than the rest of my body, I’m adding weight at an extreme pace, I don’t want to go out anymore I don’t feel good in anything I wear. My lips are constantly peeling then I have all these dark spots on my face from the acne I had from the first trimester. I don’t have the energy to be myself, to do normal things, I’m just moody most of the time. I’m just thinking out loud though , and I hope I can feel better about myself as I continue this pregnancy. I’m not ungrateful. |
I agree. Let’s try not to be too judgemental, everybody is learning here and growing. Nobody’s parenting skill is perfect and we all just want the best for our children. We may not agree with everyone’s opinion, but we can disagree without aggression and rude language. It is well. Nyxx123: |
At 26 that guy still wants to live his life and build himself financially. I suggest you start looking at guys who are 30 plus if you are looking to get married soon. |
Men and women are not the same Woman has vagina man has penis Women are more emotional men are more logical It is the way God created us. Nature cannot be challenged by anyone. Once you understand the dynamics of this, you will know how to live peacefully with your spouse. Women are more sensitive to words, public opinions, their looks and everything pertaining them. Stop comparing the two genders, it can’t work like that. gbagyiza: |
She has forgiven but she has not forgotten hence why she’s still somewhat distance. As a married man you need to understand that women are extremely sensitive. We are like babies, you need to protect us. Wives are constantly seeking their husbands validation and it has nothing to do with immaturity it’s how nature created us. Dealing with this issue will involve patience and consideration. He has caused some serious psychological damage to his wife, as small as it may seem. It will take time to heal. As a man you may not be able to understand this, but as a woman, I really sympathise with his wife. galantjoe: |
If my husband said that to me, honestly it would break me. Age is so sensitive to women, you don’t know the pressure and scrutiny women face for marrying late. She found ‘love’ and now you use her age against her? The only human being that she thought was non-judgmental and she could find solace in? Her age, Something she can’t control? Even if it takes 5 years to forgive you fully, you must be patient with her. Words hurt deeper and mind you shes such a good woman because she still cooks, has sex and every other thing. Most women will show you pepper. Her body is there but her heart and soul has disappeared from the marriage. It is well jare. |
I couldn’t agree more. You don’t have to wait until infinity to have it all. What if you wait until 35 and you’re still broke? With the state of Nigerian economy, there’s only so much you can do esp as a Single young man. Marriage is a partnership, it’s about building and growing together. Most successful men had wives from the beginning who pushed them to be the men they are today. It’s about finding the right woman who will elevate you. Not waiting to have it all for one woman to suck you dry. Those that are 40 and unmarried are not happy, trust me. It’s harder to find genuine love when you have it all. |
She’s 39 going to be 40 in February. She’s closer to 40 than 39. Stevecovey: |
40 is not old sef. 70/80 is old. It’s all about upkeep. Which many women don’t do that’s why they get old quick. If you look after yourself, go to gym and eat well you will look like tiwa and co. Is it not the same Ashanti that is 40 and Kelly rowland. Ahbeg jare. victorian: |
She’s 34/35 So sad because she looks just like her mother If she was alive, I don’t think she would be the way she is now beejayphako: |
You are so invested in their life blah blah blah Nobody love story is perfect, you that is doing analysis, if I take one peep into your love life I will see many different problems and errors. Every guy has baggage, every woman has baggage the only difference is that they’re in the public eye. Chioma has nothing to lose. Shes Young 24, beautiful about to be married with a child, with a name for herself and wealth surrounded by her. What have you done for yourself at your age? Women...always our own enemies. These are old pictures. Chi chi is pregnant |
It’s normal I believe. It’s nearly impossible to have a flat stomach until 6 months, most women will start adding weight or at least show a little by 3-4 months. Depending on your height and weight before the pregnancy. You can’t run away from adding weight during pregnancy, I guess it’s all a blessing so don’t feel bad uche23: |
Thank God I know I’m not running mad In the past 2 months I have left my house maybe 4 times at most. All I want to do is lie down and sleep it’s hard because sometimes everybody thinks I’m exaggerating. I’m at 11 weeks and my feet are already swelling due to lack of exercise. I have no energy to even bath sef it takes the grace of God. I just hope this stops because it’s making me moody and miserable. Cutemarvel: |
I’m not the best cook in the world. Yet I found my husband who is a better cook than me. Although it made me feel somehow, I am so blessed and happy I don’t expect him to be in the kitchen and to be cooking for the family. But our maturity level enables us to compliment each other in all areas He teaches me what he likes, and it has worked for us. All this nonsense about I can’t marry a girl that can’t do xyz. It’s bad and vice versa. You might meet a girl who compliments you in all departments, but she can’t cook the best, will you leave her? I think nairaland is full of under 30 naive unmarried children who think they know it all. There’s so much more important things in a marriage than food, sex and millions of naira. Jesus. |
Thanks Ebenaba: |

That’s for a public school. If she sends him to a nice private school, it may not be too costly it will change his life forever. He will be disciplined in the most civil way, and he will be influenced by his well behaved peers. It will even bring out his talents, because most private schools have extra curriculum activities. He might win awards, compete in high places, actually there’s normally favouritism towards children who are born abroad. They don’t really care about black children here in the western world, he will be fine. peeps4u: |
Do what you can afford and leave the rest It’s that simple. |
Is this even a question? Allsingles: |
Not a big deal. |
The reality is that social media has created a delusion for women to expect the perfect man. You want to marry a man in his 20s and 30s, he is not going to have it all, ask your happily married sisters. The same way you are not perfect, is the same way these men are not perfect. Its a partnership, although i'm not expecting any woman to marry a stark pauper with nothing to offer. But you marry more for companionship. Sometimes when we're young we get thrown away by all the male attention that comes our way, we believe the world is at our feet and we don't have to settle for anything less than perfect. but slowly and surely, the reality begins to set as we get older. Don't throw away good men when you're young just because they don't have it all, and the same goes for men. God will not make you to settle for just anything out of desperation. when you have options, take advantage of it. The agony that people face at an older age when they're unmarried and not settled, is nothing to joke about. You will not see it, but behind closed doors they are in pain. The joy that comes when you see your little children running around is irreplaceable. |
You dont need all these things to stay young all you need is a good diet, exercise, and good living conditions.Cut out alcohol and smoking and you will see the difference. Mcslize: |
If his behaviour continues wait until he gets a little older and please send him to Nigeria. My parents sent me to Nigeria for boarding school 11 years ago I was 12,13 ish, and it was the best decision they could’ve done for me, I’m so grateful for them. Now I’m married with a child on the way, and I’m doing well for myself. If they ignored me, God knows how my life would’ve turned out. Whilst there, I met so many other children like me , and they all changed for the better. If you have someone trustworthy that can train your child up in Nigeria, it is better please. In the western world there’s only so much you can do, before they start calling the police on you and social services. Please give it a thought if the situation doesn’t change over the years. Your son will come back to thank you, because training at this age of 9 is very very important. If you can’t control him now at this age, it might only get worse honestly. jess2019: |
