I honestly think your wife is suffering from serious depression, she’s not happy deep down inside and they’re some internal issues bothering her. She’s taking it out on you and everyone around her. The problem started once children came into the picture, she’s probably feeling the same regret you are feeling. This is not the time to divorce, this is the time for communication. This is the time for patience. This is the time for understanding. This is the time for wisdom. You are the man of the house, you need to take control of your territory. If it means her getting help for depression, taking medication such as anti depressants let her do it. If it means going for therapy/counselling, then do it. If it means involving a third party who can transfer wisdom to you, then do it. If it means sitting down and communicating one on one thoroughly then do it. This is not the time to run away from your problems, you will find more problems leaving your wife and children in the long run. Once you cure the root of your problem, you will live peacefully. |

But it doesn’t matter because beauty is a woman’s currency. Men are normally valued by how much money they have but then it’s all subjective and different opinions for different people. UnclePrincipal: |

Sometimes I think you need to be mindful of what you type to others online. I know you want to tell this lady the truth, but please she’s in a very vulnerable state at the moment, use your words wisely. I pray this lady will not attempt to kill herself from reading some things here. You can be truthful without being derogatory. LadySarah: |
Some men are truly and honestly evil, agents of the devil. I’m so sorry this has happened to you and I pray that you get to the bottom of this. I pray this man gets the punishment he deserves because no innocent child deserves to go through this kind of trauma. He needs to be in prison, disgusting animal. Please mum, take it easy, God will definitely fight this battle for you. He will never get away with this, please believe that!!! Keep your baby close to you, she will reveal the animal who is behind this. My prayers to you mum, just take it slow. tatacherie: |

I think a lot of people are dealing with what the ops gf has, and this thread has given them hope. Makes them feel they are not alone. If you are extremely introverted and reserved please understand there is nothing wrong with you. Some people may not understand you, we live in a very extroverted world, but you will definitely find a few that will love and accept you for who you are. We don’t judge those who are always going out, socialising with many friends, yet we judge those who find solace in their own company. Find a little bit of balance but do not over work yourself trying to be someone you’re not. Good luck to all my wonderful introverts. |
This is what i'm planning to cook tomorrow. My pregnant body has been craving this since. Looks Yummyyyy ![]() Noblefirstlady: |
Lol okay, goodbye darling. baby124: |
Okay she has issues. Accepted. But darling, the reality is that every body has issues. Using the word ‘mental disorder’ like it’s some sort of disgusting disease is the problem I have with Nigerians. A lot of people have ‘mental disorders’ such as depression, ptsd, bipolar and so many more. In fact most people that you see roaming around the streets, going to work etc are dealing with one "mental disorder" or the other, does that make them less of a human being? You can even develop these things whilst in a marriage, do you just wake up and leave the person because of their ‘mental disorder’? Honestly I think you are just immature and you need to wake up and face reality. We don’t live in a world full of happy and perfect people. That is what your partner is there for, to help and bring out the best in you. If you’re not ready for challenges, then stay single! baby124: |
Has anyone on this planet married a perfect partner? Has anyone married a partner who doesn’t have bad character traits in them? We are all flawed Biko, it’s about endurance and management. My thing is if the OP cant deal with it, he better leave but he should be very aware that the next woman might give him even more problems. She is not verbally abusive, she is not violent, she’s not a cheat, she doesn’t have a bad past that she’s hiding. She’s just socially shy. Ahbeg each to their own jare. Let him walk away from this girl and go and find miss Nigeria universe that will be talking too much in family gathering , maybe that will give him peace of mind at least. baby124: |
I think you are being very inconsiderate and harsh and using your personal situation to make a judgement, which is wrong. When someone is suffering from social anxiety, it is not a choice, they do not want to be that way but mentally they just cannot handle social situations. There are different levels to this and I think what the OPs gf has, is an extreme case. That you believe it’s ‘normal’ for a girl to rush and see her boyfriends family doesn’t exempt her or disqualify her to become his wife if she doesn’t behave in that way. Every single human being has their own weakness. That you behave in a certain way doesn’t mean everybody else must follow. The only way to deal with this situation is with patience. Your family might also come across as intimidating, as you have claimed your sister is already having problems with her all because she’s the quiet type. Step by step, bring her around one friend, let her get comfortable. Then start increasing it from there. Also go out more, just the two of you since she’s comfortable with you. That can help with her with learning how to be outside more. They’re many things you can do, but do not give up on her. Good luck baby124: |
I have never lived in a married couples home and I will never feel comfort in such situation. And if I ever do find myself in that situation (God forbid) I will do my best to help around the house, cook, clean and put any money I have into the house expenses. I will never be too comfortable in a married persons house, the minute I get there I will be looking for a way out. That people choose to help you, doesn’t mean you should take advantage, hence why I just avoid the situation all together. I don’t want people taking advantage of me, and family members/friends are fond of doing that. The husbands friend of the OP is being a nuisance in their marital home, and he needs to leave. End of story. saucecoder: |
Rexology:The man is the head of the home. The leader, the example setter and the main component that keeps the house together. Once the man fails to excel in his responsibility as the head, the foundation becomes extremely faulty and the union begins to crumble. Women submit to responsible men. A Woman cannot build a home on sand. I think some men really need some marriage counselling because most of you are so unaware and lost. And before you quote me, I am not single, miserable or bitter. Thanks in advance. |
Trust me I understand how you feel. It’s like oga just dropped sperm in your uterus and leaves you to carry all the load on your head by yourself. Lol it’s annoying but it’s just about patience. It will get better. As for your due date I will leave that to the more experienced mums here firstpregnancy: |
I just hate the thought of a third party living in my marital home. Esp one that is not family or contributing money to the rent and house expenses. It disgusts me. My hubby already knows this, don’t try to bring one of your friends or family members to live with us, and vice versa. Because honestly, it just starts creating problems. One party will start feeling like a visitor in their own home. Sometimes you have to put your foot down, it’s not about being disrespectful or disobedient. It’s about respecting each other’s space and allowing peace reign in your house. So the first step you need to make is getting rid of your husbands friend, he has overstayed his welcome. Then really pour out your mind to him, no holding back. Sometimes you have to hit men hard before you see changes in them. Playing miss perfect wife is the road to being a push over. Respect is reciprocal, Your opinion and feelings count, you must vocalise this. Good luck. |

Yawns. I hate when introverts question themselves, like they are some special kind of species that invaded the planet earth. I am an introvert myself, I am very happy and content with my personality and I don’t give a flying monkey about what person a or b thinks. People are going to talk about you regardless. You can’t change your nature, you can’t change how you naturally are. Accept it and stop looking for ways to modify your behaviour, everybody cannot be social butterflies. Get over it and live life. |
Why ? How are you feeling? Anything you would like to share?? Graced2018: |
I was thinking the same thing. Too many wahala ontop of wedding ceremony. But I’m just a fan of simplicity, but everybody is different so I’m not condemning them at all. Just hope they spend as much effort on the actual marriage. Too much paparazzi and social media can sometimes be bad. Not hating just my opinion. Congrats and good luck. God will bless your home abundantly. Acidosis: |
