Super1759: Kai!!!!The problem is not with her sickness, it is about leaving the country at the slightest opportunity for medical reasons. |
I've got to improve my typing skills. Till now, I never knew that a job interview can consist of a test of typing accuracy and WPM. |
I don't believe that a country can be sold, not until today. Why is the design so important that a foreigner had to design it and held the patent? Who wants the Naira for aesthetic uses? |
ortopazz: Buh then we saying lawyers have been irrelevant have we imagined a Nigeria without them? Cos even if I can relate to ur views that lawyers have not really been that active, buh can we all in retrospect imagine what it cud have been like that is our Nigeria? I mean we've got profile cases that the lawyers took to court but the inner cacus which translate to the judges, have always thwarted the process, so my point is are lawyers to be blamed?or shouldnt we blame the system that they themselves cannot change?I think you should state their contributions rather than going down the "imagine-Nigeria-without-them" lane. Nobody (or group) is indispensable. |
When will this end in Nigeria? How come it is only in Nigeria that babies are born with some "religious" materials? |
Billyonaire: Misleading thread. Esan is a billionaire, not millionaire. Please correct it. Give respect to billionaires. In Naira, Dollar or Pounds? A Naira billionaire is just a Pounds millionaire. |
eyenCalabar: Can u guys drop some series that is similar to Legend of the Seeker? I have been following Merlin and it has been so interesting.I'll suggest "Camelot". Its closely related to Merlin though it had only one season. You can also check out "Game of Thrones". |
I saw only Part 2. It was spectacular. |
VillageBoi: Generally they all sit at a table and develop the ideas for the characters, episodes, seasons and so on. This is not the best example below but I hope you get the drift.Thanks. I got the drift. That question stems from seeing reference being made in Season 8 to what occurred in Season 1 and the story blends so well. |
1. John Maynard Keynes - so sad he's dead. 2. Nelson Mandela - you can't just but like him. 3. Bill Gates - cos he made typing this possible. |
As someone who was brought up watching Nollywood (mostly Yoruba) films where so much time is wasted (like showing people driving for almost 2 minutes or doing other mundane things) for the film not to be too short, I jumped to the conclusion that there cannot be any meaningful film above 200 minutes (that's your regular Part 1 & 2). My assertion was proved wrong when I entered the world of TV Series (fondly referred to as season films). I'm amazed in my new world that there could be seemingly unending films loaded with so much action that you can't afford to leave your TV to get a cup of coffee. It's also surprising that you can get a film with 24 episodes, each with an average of 42 minutes of play, for just N200. That's a gigantic 1008 minutes just for a season! Some of these series go as far as eight seasons. Ever since I watched my first TV Series, I have come to love them more than the regular films. Little by little, I grew from a beginner to "Intermediate" in the world of TV series. I became more interested in who wrote what, who directed or produced what, etc. I started visiting blogs that were specifically created for a Series to know the idea behind it beyond what was presented in the film and to ask what I found unclear in the Series. I became more informed than my friends about the latest "season films" in town. Later, I found buying DVDs no longer reliable since you can find three different Season 4 for a particular series that end at different episodes. In fact, you can find a Season 5 for a series that ends at Season 4 (courtesy of our brothers)! I began scouting the internet for latest episodes release and eventual download. It got to a point that Cybercafes refused to let me use my laptop because they claimed that my browsing is always bandwidth intensive. They are right. I only go to the Cafe to download latest episodes using torrent and download managers. To me, TV series is a different world entirely. I'm loving it - TV Series! Please share your own experience of transition to TV series or your first TV series experience. PS: I've got a question I'll like to ask. How do different people write different episodes and the series still appears like one big story written by one person? |
Staged, staged, and staged. All these Naija "Gists" websites sha! Always looking for ways to get traffic. |
The result of MTN "Ultimate Wonder". When a foreign company is fooling Nigerians and no agency in Nigeria is working to stop it, the country comes and say "See as we dey dash these lazy Nigerians aeroplanes". |
If I have something to say, if I have the time, and if the thread has not gone too far (say 5 pages) because I like to read others' comments before commenting. |
aplomb_lass: well ,i think d phrase "ao does dis affect d price of garri ?"is just a figure of speech, meanin ao does d topic affect whats goin on in naija, and it makes some topics interesting.why ban them now?It makes most topics uninteresting and derail threads a lot. |
12 pages and counting? Garri must be so important to us in Nigeria. Most threads never made it this long. |
Oke Kura, Fufu, .......... |
Why do I think the hotel is just playing to the gallery? |
I thought the minister already denied the claim that she refuse to give some airlines landing rights at Abuja. |
oyibomoses: Nigeria will never discover anything, only people ideas they always modify everybody is Oil Oil Oil, money money money, yeyeRick Ross also said he wants part of the oil money. |
In this day, where 'families' are rented for the wedding, who knows if the bestman was rented? |
Thumbs up man |
igbsam: How many of you did the Leke Leke give me white finger(water finger) thingy ? Just saw my little nephew doing it today and it reminds me of those days when i did it too. And then after a few mins or waggling and twisting your hands upon and down as if u are wading away the air, you'll be rewarded with this white spot on your nails. Please who can explain the theory behind this leke leke thing. Because that stuff still works. Saw a white spot on my nephew's nail after singing the leke leke song with his hand going up and down. You got me laughing there. Maybe you should try doing the same thing without saying 'leke leke'. |
That's my problem with female marketers who trade their punany for deposits. Your clients can "ask for more" and the moment you are not forthcoming, they withdraw their money and throw you off balance. It's sad to know that another marketer is already waiting to collect that cash. |
Omo Alata: I made front page news? Now this is the joke! |
Tolaaaaannni: I just couldn't help but disagree with you on this one, because the bible also talked about this. Even though I'm aIgnorance of the highest order. Jesus was telling a parable, for crying out loud. |
So sad they choose to quit. |
LMAO! |
Fat Ross, fat bodyguards! |
cheddarking: Does OPC have the authority to do this?I'm about to ask the same question. Who knows how they interrogated him? |
Il Capitano: Keeping my fingers crossed and waiting for Cosmic Ray parts 1&2 courtesy Nollywood.LOL |
benzion72: The advert is on Oluyole FM in Oyo State and aired on their Yoruba news review called (Eleti Ofe). So many gullible people who want to run away would have falled victim. And the company will just be making a lot of million from innocent Nigeria. O God save us from ourselves.Thank you bro. This ad has been around very long ago and I keep hearing it every now and then. I'm sure Kola Olootu's company (I've forgotten the name) runs that ad on Oluyole FM. The hook is that "Canada needs skilled workers". ![]() |
