Countryhard099:You will be writing on your course, Pre medicine, but your SOP should mirror the broader courses you will be taking under the Faculty of Kinesiology & Health Studies. One way to approach this is to look at your course contents and try to identify the areas lacking in Nigeria's health system, and you can use that to your advantage to be an area you intend to add value to the Nigerian health sector and the health benefits One point may be that your research may be looking at human movements and disability, how these movement patterns are changed, and the long-term consequences on our health. These can be joint problems, muscle problems which an average Nigerian experiences daily due to stress or areas like Arthritis common with most older adults and looking at the best guidance to treat this ailment. I would say you try to identify as much as possible what you will learn, research and the current practice in the Canadian health system. You will aim to identify the aspect not yet available in Nigeria and use that to your advantage, more like your readiness to see how the quality of life of the average Nigerian can be improved and reduce mental stress. Success! |
Iffylove:Sure, why not! Its same IRCC. |
Kurukuru:There are some concerns over the level of bias in the review process over temporary resident applications, especially on African countries. I share your sentiments. Many people are beginning to speak up against these levels of bias, and we hope there would be some improvements soon. |
iwale:You cannot predict when it comes to IRCC. Some applications get processed quickly, while others take a bit longer. Another option you have is to re-apply on the new portal if the initial application was submitted on the old portal. The new portal seems faster with visit visa applications than the old portal lately, but you will pay another application fee. But if your purpose of travelling is not super urgent and just for the tourist, I would advise you to be patient more. You can raise webform and send an email to Lagos, Abuja and Nairobi, but don’t send multiple emails if the purpose of the visit is not timebound or urgent. I understand the anxiety; try to distract yourself with some other stuff. A decision would come, don’t worry. You can also give It another three weeks, then order your GCMS notes again to compare with the previous if there is any progress in your file. |
bukkyano2003:1. Order for your GCMS Notes. 2. Send e-mail and webform since your application has exceeded standard processing times. But start with the GCMS notes first so you can understand what is going on with your file. |
canafirstson:Reconfirm the checklist of documents you sent to Abuja. Did you include his biometric slip that was issued to him in Lagos, also confirm the consent form was filled correctly and the correct amount for transmission fee was paid.? You can send an e-mail to VFS - info.cannig@vfshelpline.com if you feel all was in order and tagged it urgent- itemise what you sent to them to enable them clarify why it was returned. |
PatBrisley:In response to questions 1, 2, and 5 1. The three schools cited are all okay. Lekiboboe has already responded you concentrate on marketing for now. Based on that, you will be good with any of the schools. Marketing is in high demand in Canada if you have a passion for it, and I see job vacancies for marketing severally in New Brunswick. You can focus on that and then move to your love for science later if you still have the interest by then. 2. Age is no barrier to studying. You are good to go with your age. 5. You will need to have sufficient funds that cover a minimum of 1 year for your tuition and living expenses. The more the funds, the better, but avoid lumpsum deposits. If you have lumpsum deposits, explain those concisely so the VO can understand and attach any relevant documentary proof. You don’t need to mention that your family will go with you in your application. Let the application be about you alone. Your family can be used as a home tie. If you are married with kids, you will need to demonstrate that they will be sufficiently catered for in your absence, e.g. your wife having a job to cater for herself and the kids. But let the tone of your SOP give the impression you intend to come back home to your job and family. Await other responses and suggestions. All the best! |
Tupalo:You should use your pension account instead as proof of funds. Proof of funds for Pension is only limited to 25% of the total amount credited to the retirement savings account. In line with the Pension Reform Act, you can only withdraw a maximum of 25% of the outstanding balance if you are out of a job for up to 4 months and unable to secure another job. That would be the maximum limit you can withdraw when you get to Canada. However, the entire pension account can be used as a home tie to demonstrate that you have a job and cash investment back home. Your dad is still in active service, so he can't make any withdrawal for now, so it won't fly. Yes, attach your salary account; it proves that you have a job. You can also attach that of your dad if he has sufficient funds. But you will need to attach a statement with a closing balance covering at least your first year of tuition and living expenses. In a few cases, people submitted applications without much money in their account and got approval, but it is better to play it safe by having enough money. Sometimes, this stuff depends on luck and the God factor, and it just depends on how you can organise your SOP, documents, and application to convince the visa officer. |
Joanosas2950:1. Increase the frequency of your emails and web form to IRCC. I would suggest you send daily emails appealing for their speedy application processing. The content of your mail can speak to any or all of the following: • The university is gradually transitioning to entirely in-person classes, making it impossible to attend classes in your home country. • The difference in time zones makes it difficult to catch up on essential coursework projects with your fellow cohorts • You need to resume with your fellow cohorts in other not to miss out on vital information in line with your study plan. etc., as the online option is gradually being dropped. • You can attach your enrollment letter/sheet that shows courses registered for the semester. 2. Check if there are courses you can attend online for the summer, you may consider registering for those first, then plan to register for the in-person course next semester to have a win-win ( Your course adviser would know better). Worst case scenario, you attend the first semester in Nigeria. 3. If there are no more online courses, try to inquire about the last date to defer so you can quickly defer when it is very close to that date and no decision yet from IRCC. Don’t underestimate the God factor; pray! Hopefully, you will get a PPR request soon. |
Scott99tish:Ok, no worries! |
Scott99tish:Travelling with liquid cash of just $100 dollars might be too little for your immediate needs except you already have it sorted out how you can get cash from other sources pending when you are able to withdraw from the bank. Maybe within the range of $800 to $1500 might be okay becuase you never can tell the immediate expense you will meet. But you will know better regarding your plans. I thought to give you heads up. |
amila20042001:Generally, the bank would request for documents that shows that you are a bonafide student in Canada. They can request for your school ID card, the estimate of allowances from the school that comes with the letter of admission etc. For instance if the estimate shows allowance of $10,000, you can process upkeep within that value based on your budget. |
Nitand2:I am so sorry for the late response. I have been caught up in closing out on series of assignments and exam readings. I am happy you were able to get it sorted. I wish you success in your application. |
Nitand2:See the attached picture, it should be among the drop down list. What options do you see?
|
Nitand2:Sure, type "IRCC Webform Nairobi" on google. > Click on the link to open the webpage. > The first questionnaire you will see is Enquiry, click on student because thats what applies to you since you are applying for study permit >You will then see a blank page to type your message, you can communicate your equiry there. > You will see other details asking for your date of birth, UCI, application number etc......enter those as appropriate. > Consultant ICCRC number - You can ignore that. I am sure you should be able to take it from there. All the best! |
Nitand2:The London office is asking you to raise a webform to send in your enquiry. In this case you will be raising a webform to IRCC Nairobi Office and your application type is study permit. |
Papapa1234:Generally, for a stay of 6 months or less, medical exam is not needed. |
Learner247:I can see that your biometric number has been captured on your profile that means your biometric data has been successfully recieved by IRCC. The remark "your action is required" should be a system glitch, it would eventually change back to "submitted" Dont panic, i cant see any cause for alarm. Give it another one week and you can send the screen shot via webform if it still persist but its no issue. All the best! |
EffortlessGrace:it is ok, i think you dont need to capitalise "The Visa Officer" and "High Commission of Canada". Keep it first letter uppercase and the remaining letters on lowercase. |
princetx:Please see below Visa Application Centre Sterling Bank Plaza, 3rd Floor, Plot 1083 Mohammadu Buhari Way,Central Business District Abuja Nigeria You would need to book for your biometrics on VFS web online. You should see the instructions for biometrics on the letter sent to you. Hope this helps. |
Adesinm:Thanks, i have already paid for the application successfully. The error shows when i log into the portal. |
ArhyelBB:Hi ArhyeIBB, Thanks alot I just tried it on 3 different web browser and cleared cache on all but still gives me same output. |
Good day all, Did any one experience this error message when application was submitted on the new portal?. I recently appliced for my parents and after payment of application / biometric fee, i see this on the portal account page. This has been on for more than 24 hours now.
|
Maypearl:Congrats Maypearl. |
Jessica50:The “ Recommended Passed” remark means that the case analyst has assessed you positively on all criteria. Your file has been passed on to a senior immigration officer, who will do a final review before giving his/her approval. Once approved, a communication will be sent to you by mail regarding an update on your GC Key. I wish you the PPR love letter you are expecting. Success! |
Topmc:March is enough time for God to do his wonders; still, I would say you exercise patience a little bit more. So, two options come to mind: 1. You can start your programme online then plan to travel when your application is approved but find out from your school the refund policy in case of the worst-case scenario on your application. Some people take the risk of resuming their programme online, and it turns out in their favour, and this option is a 50/50 chance of success. This option can be exploited if you are okay with the refund policy. Then, you don’t lose your tuition fee. 2. I would say wait till the last minute before deciding to defer. For instance, if the due date for deferment is on the 7th of April, you can wait till 4 or 5 days to the due date before deferring. You can send an email to the contact person in your faculty if you can get back to them latest by the 3rd of April to decide for deferment (with the assumption that the due date is 7th) so they mentally have you in mind. This delayed strategy will allow you to buy more time, and the PPR might just come before that time, and it would be a Win-Win. Since your eligibility has not started, you can defer to September to give you allowance of time so you wont have to defer again that’s when you decide to defer. In the meantime, keep sending reminders to IRCC via email and webform. Tag the subject “URGENT MAIL” or "PRIORITY MAIL" when sending these emails. Send them a short, concise mail appealing to their emotions on the need to have speedy response on your application to enable you to plan appropriately for your studies in line with your study plan. You can note that the COVID restrictions are already getting lifted, and you may not have the opportunity to join your classes online, which may affect your study plan. I wish you the best! |
Good day everyone, I want to prepare and submit an application for my parents for a visit visa. The purpose of visit is for my graduation. 1. I need your thoughts for those that has done this for their family members on the list of documents to be submitted, my parents are both retired and no longer in active service? 2. Can i apply for them on my GC key account or i need to open GC Key for each of them, how did you guys go about yours? 3. Any other information you think would help like type of IMM forms to be filled etc? Many thanks! |
