It can be very frustrating to keep encouraging a 96yrs (1914) old man after 50yrs (1960) of leaving his parents to stand alone. If a fool at 40 is a fool forever, what then is a fool at 50?

Rather, in the university I still continue to pay the American lecturers one million dollars every month because the school fees that they are charging are not even enough to fuel the generators that they are running because the university was built to American standard. Christianity EtcWhy I Took 65-year Old Wife, By Kumuyi by oludashmi(op): 10:34am On Oct 28, 2010
General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi took a new wife last week in London. When the news broke, it sparked mixed reactions. While some felt it was in order, not a few wondered why the 71-year old cleric needed a new wife. The church has opened up on the turn of event, reports Assistant Editor (News) OLUKOREDE YISHAU

Dressed in a modest suit, Pastor William Kumuyi and Esther Blaize , clad in a pink and purple skirt suit, exchanged the marriage vow last Wednesday. Guests were later ushered into the Crowne Plaza Hotel, London for a reception ceremony. And just like that, the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry got married for the second time. Two days ago, key leaders of the church across the country, who were not privileged to attend the modest ceremony, were made to watch the video of the proceedings.

Pastor Kumuyi lost his first wife, Biodun on April 11 last year. He took the news with calm. He even went on to handle the convention and shocked many by preaching at the funeral of his late wife.

At the time of her death, Kumuyi was 70 years old. When asked last year if he was going to take a new wife, he said it was too early to think of that. With his age, not a few also thought he might just stay unmarried for the rest of his life.

A statement by  the church yesterday said Kumuyi’s decision to remarry was not entirely his. The statement  endorsed on his behalf by the church’s Secretary, Pastor L Nnadozie said his marriage to Esther sparked joy and spontaneous happiness among members of the church.

The statement reads: “Pastor Kumuyi had lost his wife, Biodun in April last year. The death of the woman affectionately called ‘mummy’ or ‘mama’ by members of the church, became a cause for concern for leaders in the church as she was almost inseparable from her husband. The church leaders were so concerned that the pastor must not remain lonely, that they led a delegation to encourage him to begin praying to God to give him another wife. The leaders also began praying for their pastor to get another partner. Although initially reluctant, Pastor Kumuyi later prayed and testified to the leaders that God had answered their prayers. This is what culminated in the marriage ceremony in London.

The statement revealed that the new wife, whose other names are Folashade Aduke, is the National and International Woman Co-odinator of the church.  She is 65. And wait for this: she was never married, because, according to Nnadozie, she committed her life to the Lord.

@poster this is a case of love me; love my dog period. if you truly love your husband, then you have no choice but to love these children no matter what  cool

I am sure you knew what you were getting into when you said I do (I am sure at least one person would have sat you down and told you the implications of what you were getting yourself into)  and I want to believe that even if you have not experienced it first hand, you would have watched some nollywood movies to prepare you for the long, hard and mostly thankless task ahead of being a step mother.

This is the kind of thing that annoys me about some Nigerian men. His wife died and he couldn't find an older & more experienced woman who could be a mother to those kids (teenage kids need the most care and guidance) but he goes off and marrys a lady fresh from uni who hasn't got a clue about life talk less of being a mother to 3 grieving rebellious  teenagers. He probably wanted to show off his latest model to his friends whose wives were probably in their 40's  angry

And by the way, if those kids fail, then you have failed too. So its best to invest time to teach the one that cooks poison how to cook and show her how to look after her baby. You are now a grandmother at 28. Congratulations.
Got it very right from start to finish. kiss
Also, the poster is supposed to act as a loving big sister to the children after which they will later take her as their mum but I am sure she was busy doing "I am your father's wife to them", you created the vacuum now it is difficult to fill.

Go back and fill the vacuum or if they were your children wouldnt you know how to take care of them, would you have brought their case to NL? Go back and apologise to them, then do the right thing.

Dont talk like this again or else you will soon say they taught us our languages, UNDERSTOOD?

They came and took away our fore-fathers for slavery and our cultural heritages. There arrival exposed us to robbery, fornication, we had no thieves and used to trade our goods by simply putting some stones to identify the cost of the goods and walk away, when you come back, your goods and money would be intact. Whereas in this same country a hairdresser was given 15yrs without bail for defrauding a friend and a final yr student of a university was given 4 yrs imprisonment for stealing laptop (maybe the guy was just playing with his friend wink), of course the guyz career is finished and doomed by the time he is back. . .and so on.

EducationASUU Calls For Revocation Of S/east Varsities’ Licenses by oludashmi(op): 3:27pm On Oct 27, 2010
Following the refusal of governors of the South-east states to implement the Federal Government/ASUU agreement, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has called on the National Universities Commission (NUC) to revoke licenses of state universities in the region.

At a news conference in Ibadan Monday, the chairman of the ASUU at the University of Ibadan, Dr. Ademola Aremu, who spoke on behalf of chairman of ASUU, Ibadan zone, Professor Akin Ajisegiri, expressed dismay at the display of tribal sentiment by Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State, who allegedly asked that ASUU/South-east governors parley be conducted in Ibo language.

Aremu called on the NUC to sanction the states for consistently disrupting the academic calendar.

He maintained that university education is universal and its running should not be subjected to tribal sentiment and politics of federalism.

The ASUU chairman said the crisis shows that Nigerian leaders are not serious about education.

I have a deep baritone voice that rumbles sometimes when I talk. I noticed that people turn around when I talk in public places, in a bus, or when I'm on phone. Sometimes it embarrasses me, other times I feel indifferent. I don't think there's anything I can do about it coz I know it's natural. Is it odd for a young guy to have a deep voice? How should a guy's voice sound?
They may like it, hence they turn to admire who's got such a voice.
