Quote from: H$LBroker on Yesterday at 03:57:20 PM Sorry about this that happen to you, and you are just discovering few days to Christmas and New Year, but the fact is that you can't divorce her if you are a Christian, you have to forgive her and pray to God to change her but depend on the type of denomination you belong to as a Christian, if you belong to Pentecostal which i belong to, then according to the word of God what God have put together let no one put asunder, read Mark 10: 2-9Who is this half baked christian? Even Jesus supports that you divorce in a case of adultery. @poster What are you still waiting for? If you havent caught her, it would have been another story but now that you have your evidence, do away with her ASAP. Some family members and church members will try to convince you to forgive her just like some teenage NLers are saying (they are in-experienced). . . . simply reply them that you have forgiven her (forgive her truly) but you have no option than to do away with her cos such relationship can never be on the foundation of trust again! Beware of HIV, STD etc. Those telling you to continue to accept her will not take it if they were the one cos they have not experienced it and reading a newspaper is different from being a victim of the story read (the trauma, the emotion, the psyche). After reading anything pple usually say "if I were the one, I would have done so so and so" but it is not true cos they are only reading or hearing it, let them be a victim of the circumstance and you will see them in a different picture. @all Too many career women are victims of this either before they could secure their jobs, in order to retain their jobs, greed or pleasure. Only those caught are barawos. |
Meldrick:Exactly! Using age 16 as a criteria is very low cos most of these girls would have been dis-virgined and even aborted on or even before the age of 20. |
there is no such thing as "World Census Council" so I don't know what you are quoting. Can you please provide a link?? this thread is very misleading and devoid of any credibility whatsoever.
Seconded A link will prove your point cos anybody can come upwith anything. |
Abdulmajee:You must be a joker I am sure you just gained admission into the school, dont worry you will soon be looking for admission elsewhere as you drop the joking school or get your certificate after you have retired child bearing. Abdulmajee:Is this not the only school where students make payment for fees and all textbooks and may get 30% of the textbook (after a long time) or never get one textbook at all. The school will then ask that you download and print the textbooks from the net (half of which are not yet online) yet no refund. Abdulmajee:Is this not the school where 12 to 14 months makes one semester? Where you at the exam centres? You wont like your colleagues experience Abdulmajee:On which site? Can you tell us their main campus in Lagos? Dont mention FBTE in Akoka cos students of FBTE usually send NOUN students out of their classes when they need to use their classes. Abdulmajee:I can bet no NOUN student ever saw a tape or CD before, they only read it in books and newspapers. Even their TMAs (continous assessment), have neither tail nor head I am sure you just got excited with what you read in their brochure. Dont worry, the reality/experience will soon open your eyes. Abdulmajee:By who? Its one of those you must not mention to a foreigner. See, you will soon come back and swallow your adverts here. You better dont put in on your mind so they dont over dissapoint you. Ask them how many students gain admission to the school yearly and how many are left at the end of each session. The only school you should gain admission and still seek admission in other schools cos you would have been thru with your degree in the later school when you will still be battling with NOUN. |
Roads in Nigeria are NOT wheelchair accessible. Offices, buildings, shopping stores, markets, even schools are not accessible. I understand the aesthetics of stairs in a building, but SERIOUSLY? Does every building have to have stairs? On my visit, I wanted to go into a bank with my friend and her mother, but come to find out, the bank had about 4 steps of stairs, and if by some way or manner I was able to get past the stairs, the doors to the bank are so small that a wheelchair would not fit into it. So where does this leave a person on a wheelchair? No access to banks? Schools? Businesses? Companies? Without education, we know it’s hard to get a good well paying job, and without access to most business places, a disabled individual is more susceptible to being poor, and having to beg for money and basic every day necessities.
Well said honestly. Good move too. As for the wheel chair non-accessibility in schools, roads, buildings etc, it is very true for 99% of all our structures and plans. So you need to have a way of doing yours (re-strategise) cos we see some of these awareness progs on TV and hear on radio but as usual Nigerian things live only in the books. All those who promised one support or the other will turn ghost after the prog. Take care. |

Such a cute girl. Please dont limit your search to the state you are, go to neighbouring states. Paste her pix around places. Pray for protection over her so should incase someone took her away for evil, he will fail. I pray she is found alive, hale and hearty soonest. |
1025:He has to say that or what do you expect of him. . .this same country announced $200 million (N30billion) for the entertainment industry when doctors were still on strike (anyway they dont use such hospitals). . . So goes to the cost of celebrating the 50 years of shameless and regressive living. The oil we have and the revenue we make out of it, if used selflessly and righteously can feed West Africa. There is no word to describe Nigeria in the dico so dont bother yourself to avoid high BP |
Lol now you're making me feel old. Life begins after 40, they say. I'm 43 and still hip. My dear, that country has scatter scatter. A country that cannot protect, provide, and secure for its own citizen. A country where you have opposing forces [boko harams in the North, Kidnapping in the East, Millitants in the ND] A country where the idea of human rights is laughable, where brutality prevails. A country where the politicians are more corrupt that the drug dealers in Mexico. A country where election is not free and fair, where people are coerced to vote for a particular party. A country where election becomes . . . . Freedom of religion is gradually receding. You have gay Christian churches in Igboland being threatened to get burned down etc. Give me your reasons why you you think Nigeria has not yet failed.
In addition. . . A country known as the 5th or 6th largest oil producing but have failed refineries, fuel scarcity and queues everytime A country that is just planning to install CCTV at airports at age 50 of independence but 96 years old A country that still imports toothpick and matches at 50 of independence A country that cant guarantee an hour power supply out of 24hrs for its citizens A country where less than 500 legislatives spend 25% revenue and about 150million others spend 75% A country that has cattles but still imports fresh milk A country where poultries are finer than classrooms and graduates cant write about themselves A country where you dont visit an exam centre but get the best result while those who read have to keep writing annually A country where you have a monthly budget for mechanics cos your car will need him due to ditches (not potholes cos their sizes are bigger than the biggest pot) on the roads A country where you walk and look back every min for security reasons A country where robbers inform police of their upcoming operation in a particular area A country where road is the only functioning means of transportation A country where you spend 3hrs in traffic for a journey of 30 mins A country where labour union is only for increase in civil servants salary while foreigners use citizens without pay and some citizens get maimed without compensation. A country where nurses and doctors bark at patients (frustration) while patients beg with his money A country where police rounds up innocent pple on streets and take them to prison without explanation or trial Well, the answer is left for individuals to decide if its a failed state or successful one. |
Akainzo:Thank you. Exactly what I was about telling him. The addition of one instrument or the other would give it a new sound and separate it from its origin. Amalaaba:Anyway, if we can ascertain the boldened. But which ever way, if he was the first to add guitar to 'were' and record it (giving it a different sound/beat), then the truth is not far fetched. |
Amalaaba:pls attend to the boldened statement Its good you said, he didnt start fuji, but it will be better if you tell us who started it cos someone starts something b4 it is passed to others. It did not just begin as a coincidence. . . .who started it or who was the first in history to sing FUJI? Without a reasonable, convincing and proved answer, you might just be wrong. |
@dayokanu and Elzarus You are really taking me back to those memories of Barrister. I was listening to his early 80s music recently and thought I will buy some soon, never knew he was almost dead. The days "fuji gabaje, e wa gbo " "which wasy nigeria" "omo o ei pe dagba". . . He was the first to start fuji music after he left the army in the early 70s. He introduced fuji music to Kollington and his musics were all full of messages and knowledge but Kollington introduced "ashakasa" into fuji music. . . Rest In Peace - Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Barrister |
Congratulations on your admission. I do understand how you feel (from experience) among your colleagues but for you too think you are too old to admission at 23 makes me think you have less aspirations and visions. If you do have strong determination, you will put aside what you have passed thru and passing thru while what you are expecting will be your drive. If you think you are too old, then take a look at others on the campus and you will see older freshers If you think you are too young, then take a look at colleagues, and see much younger pple at final level Some more brilliant people are older than you and still seeking admission. IMO, I think your age should even make you more serious than others and get the best out of your academic pursuit to compensate the wasted years and be proud of yourself again. Life goes beyond age. All the best. |

Jarus:@Jarus You and alj harem are saying the same thing but you are mis-interpreting each other. . .he is looking at the ethnic and cultural stand while you are looking at the geographical stand. He is obviously saying that he refuse to admit/recognise any yoruba to the north and middle belt (Kwara and Kogi) irrespective of the position they hold among northerners because they are just there for Nigeria's geographical reasons. Hope that is clarified. . .no argument. |
