TravelRe: Nigerian Students Who Are Now Americans, How Did You Do It? by optimusprime2(m):
For me, asides many others, one of the biggest scams that ever existed when it comes to the US immigration system, is that H1b visa procedure. Simply avoid it at all costs as a freshly graduated student.

Majority of the Nigerians I know either EB1/EB2'd themselves due to their advanced research work and degrees; MBA's PhD's/post docs... or they married Americans.

But as for struggling for the H1b... fuhgeddabowrit, that path is broken. (Except you work for a non profit or the uni which will give you the uncapped H1b path, but is still broken regardless).

FYI many folk in the US are illegal, because they simply reached the end of the line & decided to just leave it up to fate... when someone is illegal in the US... that person will smell his own rectum.

SportsRe: Ronaldo Not Bigger Player Than Me, Messi Remains Greatest Footballer- E. Hazard by optimusprime2(m):
AImiron:
Well, i think its time players like Hazard and others should start speaking up to taunt that desert fraud, he has no monopoly over gibberish, Messi maybe silent and wont stop so low to his level, cos they ain't mates, the other day his fanbase were celebrating a mere friendly match like say na world cup dem win, that's their new reality, they keep going lower, if dey are not celebrating sui celebration, dem go dig for something irrelevant to stay relevant, where the world don move pass the desert scam lord.

I wish they could play another friendly match in Miami, but guess who will miss the party, the desert lord can't enter America dem go jail his ass, he has a rape case to answer, so much for some ppl's idol, i will never stan rubbishhhh.

Back to the matter, this isn't me being sentimental na statement of facts, no be by "4 and 1 undeserved ballon do'r", Eden Hazard is right, Pendu lacks "pure football talent", person who's renowned for penalty kicks and tapins and scoring against weaker teams grin grin grin grin grin

Talent-wise, Neymar and Hazard are better than Ronaldo. This is not even banter. This has nothing to do with longevity and goals bla bla bla. He understands that Messi is superhuman. That's the truth.
The question is; which version of CR7 is Hazard making this comparison with?

Because as a player CR7 peaked maximally in three different versions.
1. He reached the peak of being a midfield winger (Manchester United)
2. He reached the peak of being an attacking forward (Real Madrid)
3. He reached the peak of being a striker (Real Madrid/Juventus)

Hazard as a player barely reached his maximum potential, so I don't understand the basis of this comparison.

I am grateful for the era we live in, it helps us analyse things easily... a crucial factor for measuring players who have "deep football" or who understand the art of playmaking, is the number of assists the player provides... Which can be measured thankfully.

Do you know CR7 is rated number 7 among the top 10 players with the highest number of assists in football history?

A list that sports Legends like Johan Cruyff, Luis Figo and of course Messi. If CR7 lacks the talent, can you please explain how come he is listed as number 7 alongside footballs finest in the history of playmaking/assists? Because these are things that can't be made up.

Please where does Hazard fit in this metric? Because in the list of top 50 players with playmaking contributions Hazard is not there.

Hate CR7 as much as you want, but saying he doesn't understand football is very criminally underating. Because he has literally left his mark on football in almost all aspects.

Hazard give CR7 his flowers abeg, e don do.

SportsRe: Has Anyone Notice This In The Super Eagles Style Of Play??? by optimusprime2(m): 5:49pm On Jan 30, 2024
Those who know football, will quickly note that The formation could be very easily unlocked if an opposition team has a classic number 10 player, I.e Rui-costa, Riquelme, Ortega, Kaka...

Back in the day, a 3-5-3 formation against a team with a very good #10, was literally calling for destruction, because the midfield would be completely owned by the #10... and would just lead to all sorts of attack orchestrations-especially if the #10 was deployed in a 4-4-2 formation.

unfortunately, modern football has made the classic #10 position to become almost extinct, which is why these days the 3-5-3 position with the right players, is a huge problem for opposition teams.

I would have nominated Ola Aina of the Super eagles but then again Hakimi is miles ahead of him in this competition (with a goal and assist account).

I would have nominated Calvin Bassey but my guy didn't start the first game and his position has not been fixed.

I would have nominated William Ekong but he missed a match to injury...

As for Oshimen, he hasn't come to this AFCON yet

Just the last AFCON here, Super Eagles Flew to the round of 16 in style but was knocked out by Tunisia who struggled to qualify as one of best third.
Naaah mheeeen it's not possible... unless Morocco suddenly changes their football but if they are sticking with what they have been playing in this AFCON, Morocco will comfortably cruise to the Finals.

Ivory Coast is a below average team, especially after watching their game with Equatorial Guinea & Nigeria.

SportsRe: Can Cameroon's Weak Squad Move Pass Nigeria On Saturday? by optimusprime2(m): 6:52pm On Jan 24, 2024
To be honest both teams have flat tyres...
I can't even evaluate their performance anymore, so on Saturday, football should just happen.

Cameroon is just playing off and on so I can't even tell what kind of game plan they use. If you watch the goals Cameroon concede then you would understand what I mean, yet again they still score some golazo's but the "off and on" pattern is just frustrating.

Nigeria on the other hand is a team which currently no sports analyst understands at all... infact I am not sure what kind of game plan Nigeria uses I.e using attack to play defence or using defence to play attack ?? ?? ??

To be honest this AFCON has shown too much surprises.
SportsRe: Which Team Will Likely Play Against Nigeria In Afcon 2023 Round Of 16 by optimusprime2(m): 8:31pm On Jan 23, 2024
Facetoface:
Nigeria's most likely opponent in the round of 16 of AFCON 2023 is Guinea. However, there are still some scenarios that could change the picture:

Current situation:

Nigeria finished second in Group A.
Group C, which determines Nigeria's opponent, has two matches remaining:
Senegal (6 points) vs. Guinea (4 points)
Cameroon (1 point) vs. Gambia (0 points)
Most likely scenario:

Guinea needs a win against Senegal to clinch second place and face Nigeria.
A draw or Senegal win would keep Senegal in second and set up a match with Guinea against Mali.
Less likely scenarios:

Cameroon could leapfrog Guinea into second place with a massive win against Gambia and a Senegal win by a very large margin against Guinea. This is highly unlikely though.
Gambia could upset Cameroon and potentially qualify as one of the best third-placed teams, but again, this is improbable.
Therefore, with the information available as of today, Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at 4:00 PM WAT, Guinea is the most likely opponent for Nigeria in the round of 16. However, stay tuned for the matches in Group C on Tuesday to see if the picture changes.

I hope this clarifies the situation!
Well... Cameroon it is.
The highly unlikely just happened

Osimhen should go back to Napoli. He's doing nothing here
Boss, Osimhen @ Napoli plays a completely different role, because there is Politano, Mario Rui and Kvara who are very good suppliers and ball carriers.

In Super Eagle's squad apart from Ademola Lookman, who plays almost as a second striker for Super Eagle's, which wingers consistently deliver?

This game now is locked for example... except there is a striker like Gabriel Jesus or if for example Gift Orban was there to drop deep and carry the ball forward ... an Osimhen plan can not work in this game

At the moment the only creative midfielder in this Super Eagle's team is Alex Iwobi.

Egypt is out, Ghana to qualify as Cape Verde to
beat Egypt and Ghana beat Mozabique. Bye to Egypt, so bad for them
Actually Egypt stands a much better chance to qualify because since Cape Verde has qualified already, Cape Verde will most likely rest their main players in the next match to avoid unnecessary injuries and may not play that game with any sense of urgency, meanwhile, there is all to play for Egypt.

Given that case, should Egypt win, then Ghana will be out even if Ghana wins Mozambique with 10goals.

The odds Actually are against Ghana.

gerrardomendes:
Ok. We have our calculators ready sir...just in case
There's no need, because Nigeria is almost assured qualified due to CAF's head to head rule...

Lemme explain, Guinea Bissau is already out...
So it's left with 3 teams actively competing for a place.

And that largely depends on Equatorial Guinea vs Ivory Coast next game.

If Equatorial Guinea wins, then Ivory Coast is out for sure... wether Nigeria loses to Guinea Bissau or not, Nigeria qualifies.

If Ivory Coast wins Equatorial Guinea, then Equatorial Guinea is out. Wether Nigeria wins or loses to Guinea Bissau *Except Nigeria loses to Guinea Bissau by more than 1 Goal(depending on how many goals Ivory Coast beats Equatorial Guinea)*

If the match is a Draw between Ivory Coast & Equatorial Guinea, then only a Draw with Guinea Bissau could make Nigeria top the group.
SportsRe: Equatorial Guinea Vs Guinea Bissau: AFCON 2023 (4 - 2) On 18th January 2024 by optimusprime2(m):
If either team emerges a winner in this match, then it's official the Super Eagle's are going out of this competition early...

The best result of this match for Super Eagle's progress is nothing but a goaless draw 0-0...

Even a draw with goals e.g 1:1, 2:2 or 3:3 does not favour Super Eagle's.

Because the best the Super Eagles can get from Ivory Coast is a draw.
