ojesymsym:United Capital has a dollar-denominated mutual fund called Nigerian Eurobond fund. The bond invests in FGN eurobonds and other qualifying SEC registered eurobonds. Minimum subscription is $1,000 for 90 days. You may contact them directly for more details/due diligence. |
omonla10:This is not Geography but Geology/Geophysics. |
Of course Lawmakers got 60% of NDDC emergency contracts BUT (in APCs voice) not this present assembly ,only those in the past PDP dominated assembly. My only concern is why the committee Chairman was so desperate to stop the minister from talking further and even his fellow committee member from questioning the minister on his comments. Nonsense and ingredients. |
Redhot111:Na the only way I see as witnesses no wan talk. Witnesses too fit no even know wetin happen. Dem just know say Baba come flog him kinsman wife. Na she now, go know wetin happen and whether Baba talk true for her head. |
Sahara reporters for ask the person wey dem flog wetin she do na. |
Cogs:Your head dey correct. Dem wan cash out. |
Benzboys:True, emotions took over. But still, considering the rent and the time to recover your initial capital, I'll say it's a good buy. Only that buyer should consider vacancy rates in the area, crime rates, accessibility, etc in his due diligence. |
Benzboys:Well, in my location you won't get that house for that amount, so it's distress. And if you are buying land to build, that amount will not do the job. In fact, 16M will only get you a four bedroom bungalow in distress sale. So you see where I'm coming from. |
Nigsrdumb:Pally! No too waste time o. You'll recover the money in less than 15 years (since the rent cannot remain stagnant) plus still have a valuable/appreciating asset. This is the real distress sale . |
Any fund manager that is not regulated/licensed by SEC, no matter how legit they appear is just an a scam waiting to unravel. So, check if they are listed on security and exchange commission's website to get your answer. |

Ok. Do not trust anybody with your money. That money is your life. If life is measured in time then you have exchanged yours for 70K. My advice. 1. Save in a high interest bearing account although inflation will still get you. 2. When things stabilize, buy and hold some dollars as a hedge. 3. Invest in a Eurobond fund to earn interest on your dollars. 4. Learn how to trade stocks, and trade both local and international. Or if you are a risk taker, try forex, cryptocurrencies, but you may lose your money and/or your sleep. 5. Start/partner a business you understand, can control/monitor properly otherwise skip. 6. Once your money is grown invest in commercial properties like shops or student accommodation. 7. Etc This is my own opinion, not expert advice, so due diligence is recommended. In any case always exercise caution. |
You titled your thread "how we withdraw and spend people's money - bank manager" yet I didn't find the withdrawal format in your write up. |
Maybe Gokada had mafia backing and he just lost their money with the ban in Lagos. |
richiemcgold:You nailed it. Makes me wonder if the Villa is not supposed to be the most secure place in the country. |
Hallenjay:So, how much will qualify it as fraudulent? |
Bros, return the money before your BVN gets Whitelisted. In your wife's case, she did a transfer on her own which no one can tell the business relationship with the recipient. Even if the recipient did not clear out the funds, the bank will require his written consent to reverse the money to the sender. If he declines, there is nothing anyone can do. At most they will put a lien on the amount while it remains in his account but they will not return the money to you. Saying it's a mistake is your word against his. What if he says there was an underlying business which he has fulfilled. The bank will then be dragged into the dispute. Furthermore, the bank cannot give out their customers contact details to you due to customer confidentiality rights. Best bet would have been to involve security agencies who will then use judicial processes to obtain any information necessary for their investigation. In your case, the error was definitely committed by the bank. So they will just put your account in debit, credit the correct account and declare a shortage. I'm sure they will reach out to you for recovery. They can but will not use BVN to debit your other account, because you did not give them a right of offset as in the case of obtaining a loan. They will not also ask the other bank for refunds/chargeback as they did not initiate the transfer. So, if they cannot persuade you to refund, they will just report the incident to CBN and request for a BVN whitelist as you will be seen as fraudulent. Believe me, you don't want that because it has far reaching consequences. |
Righteousness89:I also noticed that the person binding, did not mention the name of Satan. So, they are even. Everyone on his lane. Capish? |
seyisanya:Please any reason for this? I'm trying to learn stock investing using small monthly purchases but hold for the long term. So I was considering the fintechs for their online presence. Is that a bad idea considering that my holdings will become large over time? |
The audit should be done annually. Why do audit several years later when the culprits are no longer in service? The office of the auditor- general should also be queried for this. 2013 fraud uncovered in 2020 instead of 2014 is negligence of duty. In fact aiding and abetting too |
Na wa o. Landlords will just add the amount to the rent, like they did with property taxes. |
spirul77:I think you missed my point which is that Oshiomole would be embarrassed campaigning for Ize-Iyamu. Anyway, I'm not an interested party. Edo people will choose. But out of curiosity, if you are not voting any of the 2, which other candidate do they have there? |
akure1stson:Thank you. He should just advertise his candidacy on radio and TV by playing back all the praises Oshomole heaped on him and all the allegations he heaped on Ize-Iyamu. |
sagio09:Which kind of bank uses a gmail address? Abeg, I de follow better discussion here. I won't respond anymore. |
starbuck:Because He sent you to be the light. To be the change you want to see. So, are you fulfilling that destiny or looking to run away and leave Nigeria to her plight? |
lawlarDee:You de see red flag, u de enter. Later you go shout dupe. Shebi the contact look like bank own for your eyes abi. Oya continue. Dem go use you learn work. |
flokii:Which previous administration did currency swap deal? Or is Buhari's first term no longer part of his administration? Maybe it's Abba Kyari's administration. Nonsense and ingredients! |
Kriss216:Then shed more light on the following bible passage: The Lord your God is a jealous God, visiting the iniquities of the fathers on the children, even to the third and fourth generation. |
