SW candidates also have rights to contest for the presidency in 2023. ovie8200: We will not support any man from south west. Will support PDP north. |

You don't know how political parties operate. A Geo-Political zone can not chose presidential candidate for any serious major party that hope to win. Candidates from the SE can contest for the tickets of both APC and PDP but that doesn't mean candidates from other regions such as Atiku, Tambuwal, Osinbajo, Amaechi or Tinubu won't be able allowed by their parties to contest for the tickets. Marlboro1: SW had 8 years under Obasanjo and SS had 6 years under Jonathan. SE should present candidates for APC and PDP in the interest of fairness. |

It's Igbo turn, don't tell me you Yorubas are this wicked.

Support Atiku and leave the SW out of your worries. WarriFirstSon: My guy. SW should not think of the presidency if we want to talk about fairness. Are they the only region in south? Jonathan (SS) was president and then, Osinbajo (SW) is the vice, which region do you think should take the president? It is either SS or SE. SS contributing over 90% of our revenue is justified. SE invisibility in Aso rock should be brought to a halt. SW have dragged the whole south to peril every time, and lack what it takes to move this country forward. They keep supporting abo.ki every time they abo.ki keep using you guys. |

Individuals may be greedy but not a whole ethnic group but your hatred for the Yorubas won't make you to reason well. The choice is all yours, if you like apply common sense work with the Igbos to ensure we are fully integrated by supporting their quest for presidency. a) 2006: Atiku decamped from the PDP to AC to contest the 2007 Presidential election which later transformed into ACN. b) 2009: Atiku returned to the PDP to contest against Jonathan for the PDP presidential ticket in 2011. c) 2014: Atiku decamped again from the PDP to the newly formed APC and contested for the APC presidential ticket. The result was as follow; 1) Buhari 2) Kwankwanso 3) Atiku 4) Okorocha 5) Nda-Isaiah d) 2017: Atiku again returned to the PDP to contest for the PDP presidential ticket in 2019. The result is as follows; 1) Atiku 2) Tambuwal 3) Saraki 4) Kwankwanso 5) Ahmed Markarfi. Apawicked: your memory is failing you. Which party did Atiku join in 2014 after failing against in the primary against Buhari? Atiku didn't go anywhere, he knew Buhari was the candidate for Apc and has no hope of clinching that ticket whatsoever. The Movement for the Actualization of Democracy (MAD) boys who hijacked the plane in 1993 weren't members of NADECO. National Democratic Coalition (NADECO) was formed in 1992 long before the Jun-12 election to force the Babangida military Junta to honour it's promise to return Nigeria to democratic rule and include prominent non-Yorubas like Commondore Dan Sulaimon, Authur Nwankwo, Ndubuisi Kanu, Pa Alfred Rewane, Frank Kokori etc. The Babangida and Abacha military juntas were illegal self imposed governments who arrested, jailed or even killed anyone that opposed their existence or harshly criticized their policies without regards for the rule of law. Deepthoughts: did you listened to the broadcast of Radio kudirat at all?,are you were that the guys that hijacked a plane in 1993 n were deceived into landing it at ndjamena Chad were part of the struggle to actualize june12?,if the activities of NADECO N RADIO KUDIRAT were not a threat why were NADECO Leaders arrested and detained while many ran into exile n why was Radio kudirat operating secretly?, although the past is gone but it's important for justice to be done. |

You so much cherish propanganda and like to shift the goal posts after I have debunked your falsehoods. In buikd up to the 1999 APP, convection the leading presidential aspirants were Dr Olusola Saraki (who was shouting that he was a bridge between the North and the South), Odumegwu-Ojukwu, Gamaliel Onosode, Bode Olajumoke. At the Kaduna convection of the party, however the presidential primaries didn't hold but the APP Chairman , the late Sen Mahmud Waziri announced that Dr Ogbonnaya Onu who was never in the presidential race has been chosen as an interim presidential candidate peddling the finalization of their alliance with the AD. The APP/AD alliance was never allowed by INEC but the Politicians circumvented the bottleneck by reaching a comprise with this sharing formula; APP=> Vice Presidential candidate (Shinkafi). AD=> Presidential candidate (Falae). Both were adopted to contest under the APP to meet INEC guidelines. Anyway, feel free to use the same behind the scene moves to cede power to the S/East in 2023. Anago55: . You believe this now?
So you think there was no behind the scenes agreement to cede the power to Southwest including the opposition parties to field westerners only? Ogbonnaya Onu was even forced to step down to pave way for Falae's emergence in the opposition party
Anyway, believe in your own lies if it makes you feel alright |

You can belong to any ethnic group you like but that doesn't change the truth which we ought to uphold. Where and how did NADECO or Radio threatened Nigeria? The two organizations were campaigning against Abacha military Junta and de-annulement of the Jun-12 election. I am in 200% in support of an Igbo candidate becoming the president but NOT in support of revisionism and deliberate distortion of events that happened as recent as 1998-1999. Deepthoughts: look I'm not igbo matter e fact I'm from the NC, but it amazes me that people like you feel so unconcerned n in fact happy that a strategic part of the country is been sidelined, after the injustice done to Abiola in 1992 the SW formed NADECO N RADIO KUDIRAT n tormented the country but the whole country accept that an injustice has been done hence even the conservative north saw the signs n the SW was compensated in 1999,why can't this be done for the SE? |

Obasanjo was released from prison by Abdulsalam Abubakar in July,1998 around the same time the PDP was registered as a Political party, eventhough members of the G-34 who transformed into the PDP has been active in the politics of the country a little earlier. Obasanjo who chosen ahead of others because the Norther power brokers (the largest power block in the then PDP) trusted him more than others, having worked together during the Military rule. Nwobodo even refused to step down for Ekwueme and splitted the votes of the S/East. Anago55: . Ekwueme, Jim Nwobodo, Don Etiebet, Philip Asiodu and Graham Douglas all bought forms and campaigned vigorously at the convention to convince the delegates to vote for them. Is any Yoruba man stopping you from contesting the presidential election? lexxwiz: Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa.
The south has an advantage to have 2 presidents before the north.
Yoruba’s, you all have to support the igbos to rule. If you narrow it down to just North and south, we have successfully cheated ourselves down south.
Eliminate greed guys, you must find the inner strength to fight greeD.
but then, if the push comes to shove, igbos don’t like to be cheated, they’ll 100% fight back trust me. Anyhow you look at it, it will end in tears except the south comes together.
Yoruba, this is your turn to support igbos. Igbos gave OBJ 100% support. They are asking you to reciprocate.
This na democracy o but then, we know that our own democracy has been faulty from day1.
Embrace peace..

Each tribe is trying to protect it's own interests. The Awolowo Family is already a blessed family and the name still open many doors till tomorrow.
