Elections are actually like football matches. A team can change the captain of their team and substitute him with another person if they aren't satisfied with his performance.

Political parties contest elections in Nigieria and the candidates are representatives of the parties in the electoral contests.

To put things in perspective, Ambode's matter was clearly an internal party/political issue. He ended up losing his party primary and his successor still went ahead and won the general election.

Candidates are products of their party's internal mechanism, the party then presents them to the electorate to represent them in the general election. Any governor that fails to secure his party's ticket doesn't stand a chance of representing such a party in the general elections. Ambode lost his party primary that would have enabled him represent his party in the governorship election which is an indication that he wasn't popular enough within the party to represent them.

Obaseki also had issues within the state chapter of his party and that ultimately cost him APC ticket. He, like Ambode, failed to properly manage the internal intrigues of party politics. No big deal. He chose to exit the party and try his luck elsewhere.

You are the one making it sound like every governor must always win their party's nomination for second term. If a party feels a governor's second term ambition will put it at a disadvantage, it can use its internal mechanism to present another candidate that it feels more confident about.

Even as this Enugu by Okpara Avenue from the above picture is looking modestly okay, do you see those guys with wheelbarrows vending fruits? Well, that's the problem. If any state government works hard enough to make any city almost at par with the Viennas and the Londons, how do you deal with the influx of the gazillions of poor people that will troop in from other poor states looking for economic opportunities by hawking, vending in wheelbarrows everywhere. Abi you wan prevent them from coming into the state? Even if they have valid certifications as bonafide citizens of Nigeria?

For me, i believe that if the poverty index of majority of the country's citizens is improved considerably (which is verrrry difficult but not impossible), and other states also improve in infrastructure and aesthetics, any attempt at one state or city alone in Nigeria urbanizing itself will experience so much influx of traffic from other states and cities that it will virtually ruin all its effort and bring you back to square one.

You have some points but since his defeat in the Kwara Central Senatorial election and the decapitation of his camp in Kwara Politics, Saraki has mellowed down on his presidential ambition.

You are the only one that tried to answer some of my questions (others simply flared up with insults and curses) but you still have this funny fixed mindset that I hate Biafra or anyone trying to discuss the pros and cons of seccession is against Biafra.
I am 100% in support of creation of Biafria for those who want it. However, this can NOT be achieved on social media or without the involvement of the Igbo political leaders and the support of the rest of Nigeria.
Most Biafran enthusiasts simply curse, abuse and insults other Nigerians on this matter.

As much as Biafra is being touted as the solution to the problems of Nigeria (or some parts of Nigeria), there are certain challenges that will still crop up and it's better we start addressing them now.

1 We will build a coal power station in Enugu luckily we have enough coal for that and BTW south Africa generates most of there electricity from coal.
2 We can also build a hydroelectric power plant on our river Niger or many rivers we have.

3 We can also generate electricity through steam generation unit,lucky we have abundant gas reserve in IMO state.

The issues being discussed is 24 hour regular electricity supply in Biafra. It has nothing to do with Afonja and how bad the Yorubas are( You can open another thread about that on another day).

You should have said, Biafra will generate electricity from Hydroelectric Dam over River X,Y,Z or from Gas fired Therma plants or from Wind energy etc.


How many of these power generating Stations are presently in Operation in the Anambra, Abia,Imo, Enugu or Ebonyi?

If these aren't presently in Operation, how long do you think it will take to construct these plants and how do you plan to get these funds for the projects?

How do Biafra plan to get Petrol, Kerosene, Gas or Diesel oil?

These are pertinent questions you should be asking Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB and not just to assume that all problems will be solved once Biafra is declared and that Biafra will suddenly be like Sweden, Singapore or Canada.

It's better to start some of these development now so to ease some developmental hiccups if Biafra is suddenly created.
