1) The Western Education we used in Nigeria were introduced by Christian Missionaries.

2) During the Colonial era and even up to 1966, the Government only established few schools in administrative Headquarters e.g Government Colleges at Ibadan, Umuahia or Keffi, Barewa College, Zaria, Kings College, Lagos etc.
These schools could only admit very few numbers of students and the entrance qualifications were exceptionally difficult.

3) Most Schools were established, owned and managed by Christian Missionaries.
Families and Communities who embraced these Missionaries accepted their religions and education. With time, they tend to be more educated than those who didn't.
The children/grandchildren of most of the people who were graduates by 1960 turned out to be today's Professors, Lawyers, Doctors, Engineers etc

4) By the 1940s, some educated Muslim elites like Jubril Martins had noticed this by the 1940s and started establishing schools to educate the Muslim children.

There are two types of delegates;

1) Statutory delegates: these are party leaders that are automatically qualified to vote in the presidential primaries because they are elected under the platform of the party either presently or in the past e.g President, Vice-president, Senators, Reps, Governors, Assembly members ,Chairmen of Local Government, members of the NWC and State ExCOs of the party.

States where the party is ruling have more statutory delegates e.g there are more APC statutory delegates in Osun State than Anambra State.

2) Elected ad-hoc delegates: there are specially elected by the Party members in each Local Government to vote in the primary election to elect the flag bearer.

A good number of the early British settlers in USA and Australia were prisoners, criminals and ex-convicts from Britain.
