You are so naive , even if they blow whistle and say every one start anew , you think african countries will get it right ? You can’t even feed yourselves and you are praying for hunger , the leaders will use the excess money from sales of produce and crude oil to live an even more outlandish life , increases in the price of crude oil have never done anything for the common Nigerians except during GEJ regime when nigeria almost turned the corner for good but tribalism won the day.
What did Nigeria turned for good under GEJ?

All the refineries were not working, no new refinery was built.

No new Power Generating Station, No modern rail system, the most important/busied Express road (Lagos-Ibadan Express road) wasn't rehabilitated despite the fact that Nigeria made $72 Billion in 2013 which was equal to our 3 year earnings from 2016-2018.
The Lion share of Nigerian earnings under GEJ were used to pay for 'subsidy' to fictitious companies owned by lackeys of the Government. About $2Billion meant for arms were brazenly misappropriated.

You didn't answer the question but dodged it.

Your suggestion of uniting against a particular candidate has grave unintended consequence that is directly opposed to what you just said here.

You see, democracy is a process and if we continue to practice it, we will become more democratic in culture.

We will get better by allowing as many people as possible to contest and allow the man that wins rule.
If the Cabals succeed in shutting out Tinubu from the race ,we will be indirectly re-inforcing a tiny anti-democratic clique to continue to select who can be president and who can not.

The loss of Tinubu is nothing but the empowerment of the Cabals is everything.

The reason why the Cabals appear powerful is because they only have one strong candidate to face- Tinubu.

If there are at least 12 strong contenders, it will be very difficult to muzzle out every candidate.
PoliticsRe: APC 2023: CPC & ACN Blocs have Been settled, Time For ANPP, APGA , NPDP Bloc by oyatz(m): 11:33am On Feb 23, 2022
Penguin2:
In 2013, four different parties, CPC, ACN, ANPP and Some part of APGA, came together and coalesced to become one political party known today as APC.

Later on in 2014, Chibuike Amaechi, the then governor of Rivers State, led five (5) rebellious governors and other heavyweight politicians of the PDP who had christened themselves as New PDP (NPDP), to join the newly formed APC and thereby reinforced the party and gave it more reach and influence.

At the party’s presidential convention in 2014, Muhammad Buhari of the CPC bloc became the presidential flag bearer of the party while Yemi Osinbajo of the ACN bloc became his running mate.

Graciously, these two won the election in 2015 and won re-election in 2019 and would be completing their constitutionally possible two terms.

Now, as the party prepares for 2023, does it not translate to greed for either of CPC or ACN bloc to still want either the presidency or the vice presidency?

As a union of different blocs, does it not make sense therefore that 2023 should be the year that the ANPP, APGA and NPDP bloc be rewarded for their role in the success of APC in 2015?

Or is any bloc trying to claim that it’s contribution is the highest and therefore other blocs should remain as spectators while they keep taking and sharing the spoils?

So, in conclusion, as the APC prepares for 2023, the CPC and ACN blocs of the party can vie any other position available in the party but not the Presidency and the Vice Presidency; those two positions should be the exclusive preserve of other blocs of the party whose contributions were equally consequential to APC’s success in 2015.

Penguin is a bird of reason!
I watched the video of the APC stakeholders meeting yesterday but didn't see you there.

So Nigeria has never got the right president since 1960?

Why do you think uniting against Tinubu will translate to the emergence of the right president?

Most Nigerians don't think deeply about how our democracy should be. The main point of discussion on the eve of a presidential election is Tinubu, Tinubu, Tinubu!

They don't discuss the real problems of the country and how to solve them.
Nobody is talking about the energy needs of Nigeria, the desirability or otherwise of State Police, the falling values of the Naira and how to reversed it.

The quality of discussion is so poor and reduced to discussion about just one aspirant.

There's nothing sacrosanct about Tinubu or his ambition, however you guys fail to see the bigger picture.

The idea that we need the outgoing president to choose a successor that will be the next president is a grave danger and undemocratic.

The best bet is to allow a level playing field and whoever emerges should be sworn-in.
Those who fail in 2023 can still succeed later. This is how we nurture our democracy.

- Tinubu VS Nigerian youths.

"I am ready to fight dirty with anybody"

- Tinubu VS Other regions yet to even taste VP or president.

The signs are quite visible that Nigeria might unite against Tinubu.

If the APC eventually gives it ticket to Chibuike Amaechi, the party will definitely lose the SW.

Likewise if PDP gives its ticket to a Northerner and the APC ticket goes south, PDP will win in the North
So Ijaw ethnic group made Jonathan to win the 2011 election?

So the Ijaw National Congress hired and posted Ijaw men to all the books and crannies of Nigeria to convince people to vote for Jonathan and manned the all polling units in Nigeria to make sure that all the votes casted for Jonathan were currently recorded?

Was tinubu Madam efunroye's husband or what? If so, was he a Yoruba man?
What's the meaning of tinubu in Yoruba language?

Being Igbo, I can hazard a guess at the meaning of Efunroye. Efun must have to do with something white as in funfun, aso funfun, funfunene . So Efunroye sound to me like, A white throne. Oye funfun. Purity. Without blemish. A crown or power that's without blemish. Total. Final. No stains. A king without blemish.

Baba, what does tinubu mean in Yoruba language? Was Efuns husband Yoruba or itenenary gambari or Igbo or tapa?
Tinubu= 'from IBU'

IBU= Large/expensive.

For instance, AdedIBU
IBUaje
IBUowo
AdelaIBU
Ejaloni IBU

Madam Efunroye Osuntinubuwa: that was her full name.

OsunTINUBUwa= Osun(river) come from a large pool.

She was originally from a family of Osun worshippers.

During her era, the present system of surnames wasn't in vogue.

People adopted part of their cogmen (oriki), names of their Family ancestors, or Trade- Names or names of their deities to differentiate themselves from their namesakes which invariably served as their surnames.

Aregbesola is 100% Ijeshaman, from a reputable family at Ilesha.

The father did 'Oshomaalo' (intinerant trading system) in the present day Kogi State and Akokoland.

I think the dad or grandfather adopted Islamic Religion when they sojournned in Egbiraland while the rest of their extended family members are Christians/Traditionalists but they are nevertheless 100% Ijesha.

Through out history, people travel to foreign lands and they adopt the religion, names or culture of their hosts but this doesn't change their real identities.

Stop ranting parties don't decide election results.Candidates do!! If the PDP candidate is from the North and that of the APC from the SW,the PDP won't we even need the SS/SE to win the elections
Political parties account for 70% of the factors needed to win an election.
This is why politicians struggle to control the party structures and/or decamp to strong parties.

If Buhari had contested the 2015 election on the platform of APGA, SDP or Labour party, he would have lost.

222k votes?
Well, Hmmn. This indirect primary is not a reflection of the true elections. If he got 222k votes in the primary, it means those votes are a guarantee for the main election but dont be surprised when he eventually wins the main elections, he may have only 100k votes. It then means that either they are padding the results of the indirect primaries, or that some of the APC delegates who are voting in the primaries do not have valid voters card to vote in the main election.
Same thing happened to Andy Uba in Anabmbra, he polled over 220k votes in primaries, election day he couldn't get even 1/5th of that.
Stop dabbling into Osun Politics without knowing the issues on ground.

Check the results of the 2018 elections and add the total votes cast.

Who is fooling who in all this saga. During the main election now, less that 200,000 will come out to vote generally then you will begin to wonder how APC came up with these numbers in their primaries. We saw it played out in Anambra where Andy Uba of the APC got over 200,000 votes in primaries but got less than 45,000 votes during the main election. The big question is how then he pulled such votes, Who voted for him? Same just happened in OSUN.

The over 50, 000 votes scored by Sheu in the 2018 election when he decamped to the ADC and splitted APC would have given the party outright victory over the PDP without the need for a re-run.

However, in this election Gov Oyetola is likely to defeat the PDP.

Several incumbent Governors have been defeated in the past, both in primaries and general elections.

The most important thing is to have the people beside you.

In 2003, Bashir Dalhatu defeated incumbent Gov Saminu Turaki for the ANPP Guber ticket for Jigawa. The National Executive Council of the party however overruled and returned the ticket to Turaki.
Bashir Dalhatu went to court to seek redress and the courts ruled that the parties have final say on whoever they choose to represent them in the election.

In the same year, Gov Chinwoke Mbadinuju was even prevented by the PDP for participating in the party's primaries for the Anambra 2003 gubernatorial election and the ANPP replaced Gov Mala Kachalla of Borno State with Sen Alli Modu Sheriff who later won the election.

Tinubu won the first leg, but the second leg will be tough
It's not a Tinubu Vs Aregbesola contest.

Moshood Adeoti (Aregbesola annointed candidate) just returned to the APC having defected to ADC to contest for Governorship 4years ago.
It's very difficult for such a person to defeat the incumbent Gov Oyetola who enjoys the backing of all the senators, House of Reps members, Assembly members, LG chairmen, NURTW, Traditional Rulers, Civil Servants (who hate Aregbesola because of his half-salary policy) and the Students.

I think the Aregbe camp already knew they can't win but are planning to serve as spoilers from within the APC.
