Wow. Action before thinking is the hallmark is this clueless government |
The SuperSouth (SE + SS) has no interest in any political alliance with the SW or any other area. We don't care who is the president. Over the next decade, we simply would just focus our energies on very strategic economic development plans. We would start by stimulating cross collaboration between SuperSoutheners in diaspora and those in Nigeria. We would use our massive diaspora population to stimulate skill transfer as well as use them as networks to create access to markets in their adopted domains. We care little or nothing for who would rule Nigeria in 2019 so we have no interest in any political alliance. |
Hmmmm. If you read this article properly you would understand the trouble that Buhari has plunge d the country into. The highlights. First , based on the article, at 2.4 trillion released of a budget of 6.06 trillion, they have purportedly released (not implemented) just 40% of budget as at September end. Secondly, the release on the capital expense component is said to be 331 billion which represents just 13% of the total purported release. Worse still, that represents a meagre 5% of the projected budget expense for 2016. I think that's the worst performance ever in the history of governance in Nigeria. Thirdly, and this is actually the most alarming. Look at this quote below. The domestic debt of the Federal Government stood at N10.61tn as of the end of June while as of the end of June 2015, its domestic debt stood at N8.4tn.In the last one year, our domestic debt profile has grown by 2.2 trillion. Our external debt stock has grown by $1.8billion(N550 billion) since this government took over. That's about 2.8 trillion naira in new debts in the last one year alone. That's alarming because despite new borrowing of 2.8 trillion, We have released 2.4 trillion. So since all our expense has come from increased debt, where has all the oil money sold over the last 1 year gone too. There's been no subsidy payments for 1 year now, where have all the subsidy savings gone to. There's been "no corruption" for the last 1 year, so where have all the corruption savings gone to. Something mystical is happening right now and it might just be the biggest heist ever in the history of Nigeria. Even if we've sold 1.5million barrels per day for the last 300 days at approx $40, that should give $18 billion. If 40% goes to JV partners, we would have approx $11billion left which is Over 3.5 trillion naira. What has happened to all that money? |
mensdept:And the governor's of the majority tribes are saints yaaa? And majority tribe States like Osun are more developed than minority tribe States like Delta abi? Bigotry makes you loose basic common sense. Quit it. |
Ambrose is commissioning projects while Buhari who hasn't laid 1km of asphalt is still telling us to blame Jonathan who left power almost 2 years ago for his failures. |
The statement read, “The recent surgical operation against some judicial officers is specifically targeted at corruption and not at the judiciary as an institution. Those are the words of the presidency as represented b Garba Shehu. The last two paragraph are a huge cause for concern as it indicates that the next group to be"surgically operated" is the media. How can suggesting that the government is acting in a dictatorial manner be equal to breaching the interest of the state. Breaching the interest of the state is treason. Are they now looking to pounce on journalists with treason charges? |
Ugomba:Not really. Most groups of the South South are basically intertwined culturally and most share similar interests. |
TonyeBarcanista:Ethnic leadership is different from political leadership. Jonathan is a unifying factor for a majority of South South/ South East Peoples. Jonathan is more likely to sway opinion in Anambra state than say Ngige. So it's not a Matter of tribe. It's about ideals. Most people don't care jack about ethnic leadership especially down south. That's why beyond traditional rulers, most tribes of the South South including Ibos of the South East don't have a specific leader from their tribe. |
Please how much is Cocoa seedling? |
In this recession, I'd expect the government to go to the yard where they have thousands of pretty good yet abandoned vehicles, get some fixed rather than Waste money on 14 million naira hiluxes that would barely be used for the purpose the monies were spent. This is the exact kind of wastage Peter Obi suggested should be cut to save 1 trillion naira. |
A big congrats bro. Extraordinary Success all the way. Jasper is the future! 20 of Jasper and Africa would be a different continent. |
Mark Zuckerberg is of Jewish origin. Same with Sergey Brin, Co-founder of Google is Jewish. Micheal Dell of Dell Computers, Steve Ballmer, CEO Microsoft, Larry Ellison, Oracle Computers etc are all Jewish. Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Kenneth Cole, Levi Strauss are all Jewish. The list is endless. |
The 6.6 trillion that was budgeted for 2016, they haven't even implemented 10% of it and the year is already out. The degree of incompetence is beyond boiling point. The task is not just to put up a budget. Anybody can do that. The question is how are you going to get the revenue to Fund it. You couldn't fund even half of 2016 budget and you are proposing higher as if it makes any difference. Budget is a law that is why it's sent to the house to be passed. The moment we start taking them to court for failing to implement a budget, maybe then they would stop bringing out figures they can't fund. |
I like this. But to make it work, lets use a standard metric system. Lets identify 10 products we an track their prices ever week. Bag of Rice, Garri, Bread, Transport on the most common routes and things of that nature. Taking this to front page would kill it off instantly as the quality of the discussion would diminish. |
mandarin:One of the things he pinpointed that went off the radar is that this government would be borrowing 4.4 trillion naira this year alone to finance it's budget.Question is what would that money be used for. It is the highest budget deficit in the history of Nigeria. The deficit alone is bigger than some Previous budgets. |
The guy was so on point. In a nutshell instead of looking for money to borrow let's cut costs of administering governance. Peter Obi believes we can save 1 trillion naira that way |
Hmmmm . Serious. The scary thing is that this area is less than 1km away from both a military barracks/base and naval base + naval air station. |
Price please. Price please. |
I am not interested in stories. I'm only interested in action. When I see the structures coming up like I see with Dangote refinery, then I'll pay attention. When I see the structures coming up like I saw with the garment factory in Calabar then I'll pay attention. When I see the structures coming up like we saw with sabmiller plant in Onitsha then I'll gladly pay attention or with P& G plant in Ogun etc. I am really not interested in all the propaganda. |
The cracks are opening. |
Tinubu don vex oh. |
Who is advising our President? I'm asking because the quantum of stupidity displayed by this administration is beyond understanding. Fighting Tompolo Not too long ago, for reasons that were an apparent ego trip for Buhari, the EFCC started a corruption case against Tompolo on the pages of the newspapers. Given the low price of oil and the resultant economic strain, many Nigerians advised that the government should thread wisely in its dealings with issues relating to the Niger Delta to avoid a resurgence of militancy in the region. The President ignored and continued his Tompolo pursuit to the cheering of his supporters who hailed "the new sheriff". Well, 5 months after, Tompolo is not in custody, the court case has produced no results, and government has recovered no money. But Nigerians have lost over $5billion to renewed militancy and we are all suffering the resultant recession. Pure stupidity. Fighting Patience Now again. The pursuit of Patience Jonathan. Does this government have any form of wisdom at all? At a time the militants(NDA) have seemingly embraced dialogue, you choose this same space of time to pursue the wife of an Ex President who by all intents and purposes remains a symbolic figure in the Niger Delta and to a very large section of Nigerians. Nigerians are currently dealing with the stupidity in the timing of the pursuit of Tompolo. Now you start another pursuit that would produce no positive results but increase the militancy in the Niger Delta and worsen an already recessed economy. I don't get the stupidity. I don't get why it's very important for Buhari to go on fruitless ego trips especially at a time the economy is on its knees. Isn't it wiser to pursue these cases that have the capacity to impact negatively on our economy at a time we are more stable? The whole country is tired of the aimlessness. We cannot afford another blow to oil production at this point. Abeg Buhari get wiser. Wisdom is the hallmark of Kings. |
MasterCard, visa and P&G are meeting him to complain of his harsh economic policies |
20million for ear treatment and the guy is saying it proudly like that's fine. 20million. 20million.hewooo! |
Custom revenue December 2013----- 85 Billion Naira Converted to Dollars in 2013 at exchange rate of 160---- $531 million. Custom revenue August 2016-----95 Billion Naira Converted to dollars in 2016 exchange rate of 320------ $296 million. Why is this government so bent on deceiving the public. The inferiority complex of this government is messing things up badly. Always looking to compare itself with Jonathan's government. |
Can someone please call Goodluck Jonathan to put together a team to save Nigeria. We totally at this point reject Buhari and his terrible band of dullards., We don't need to wait for an election. This guys just have to go. |
Hahahahaha!! |
This government has finally decided to tamper with the professionals at the Nigerian Bureau of Statistics. "The growth was as a result of the devaluation of the Naira". To understand what this article is saying, let me simplify: Imagine foreign trade last quarter was $100. At an official exchange rate of 197, that would be equal to 19,000 Naira. Imagine foreign trade fell to $80 but we now have a new official exchange rate of 320, that would be equal to 25600 Naira. And now on that basis, you claim a growth in trade. This is fraud. I am an economist.I cannot be deceived. Please NBS don't lose your credibility. I want good results to come but it mustn't be used to deceive the illegible public |
Adesolomon2014:Its not online transactions. Its about search. Searching for a place. You find an array of options online, then go look them up. You see the one you like, you finalize with the agent/owner, you pay, then move in. Anybody that isnt comfortable searching stuff online is a product of the past. |
In this age of the internet you are looking for house like an illiterate? Are you Buhari? With Lamudi(JumiaHouse), Tolet.om.ng, nigerianpropertycentre.om amd a host of others with thousands of properties listed you are here telling stories. Haba now!! |
How come the IDPs were not starving in 2014?? Why has it suddenly become so hard to feed them? Whats wrong with this government. I'm suddenly beginning to feel like Buhari has a negative spell cast around him. I hope he didn't join in the killings of innocent women and children during the 1967-70 war? The way everything is going down in just one year surel says a lot. |
Millerz:God Bless the Super South. Super South is the new description for the 11 states of the South South & South East. |
