This is now serious. Tinubu really meant it when he said he is willing to fight dirty. At this juncture, I’d advise PDP to hand their ticket to Atiku. Let’s see what an election between Tinubu/Ganduje and Atiku/Obi would look like. |
Garfield1 you must think this victory means APC will win Cross River in 2023. I laugh |

kahal29:No one is denying that Sani Bello has called for NEC meeting… The question you are not answering is, does he have the authority and power to call for APC NEC meeting? I thought you are a lawyer because I see you post a lot of court proceedings and you always lend your voice to a lot of legal matters here; does Sani Bello have the power he is discharging? When was power transferred to him? Not by court nor by convention. Does his actions not amount to a nullity? |
Confusion is still rife on what is really going on at the APC headquarters with some reports claiming Buni has been sacked and some reports claiming otherwise, leaving observers in a complete limbo. But while the details of what is really going on would be clear in a matter of hours or days, I make due to posit why the APC Caretaker Chairman, Mai Mala Buni cannot be unilaterally removed/sacked by president Buhari on whose authority the Niger State governor claims he is acting . First, Buni became APC caretaker Chairman through the decision of the party’s NEC and therefore can only be sacked by the NEC. WHO CAN CALL THE NEC MEETING? The next big question we need to answer is who is vested with the power to call for NEC meeting in the APC constitution? Those without short memory would recall when the Oshiomole crisis raged. Then APC had only Oshiomole as National Chairman. No National Secretary and no Deputy Chairman South and no Deputy Chairman North who would constitutionally taken over the party chairmanship according to APC constitution. So when the Appeal Court sacked Oshiomole, Victor Gaidom, the then Deputy National Secretary, rightly argued that he was the next most ranking official to take over the party and rightly so, the party stakeholders agreed and he became APC Acting Chairman and in that capacity he called for the party’s NEC where Oshiomole’s sacking by the court was rectified and Buni appointed as Caretaker Chairman. Now, by decision of APC NEC, the power to convene any other party NEC meeting now rested on Buni and Akpanudoedehe who was appointed secretary because the APC constitution clearly stated that only the party’s chairman or secretary can convene a NEC meeting. The question now is, at what time did Sani Bello, the Niger State Governor, become an Acting Chairman of APC? Did Buni transfer power to him before traveling? If not, how did he assume the party chairmanship in acting capacity? If he is not legally an Acting Chairman, what constitutional standing does he have to convene a party NEC where Buni’s sack would be rectified? Because as of today, the only two people with the constitutional power to call for APC NEC is Buni and Akpanudoedehe. Anything convened by anyone else aside these two is not NEC but jamboree gathering with no locus standi. Making Buni the APC Caretaker Chairman was an illegality in itself because Buni as an elected governor was constitutionally barred from holding any other executive position. Similarly does APC constitution bar any elected official from holding any position in its NWC. But APC ignored these two legally binding constitutional provisions and appointed Buni as Caretaker Chairman. Removing Buni through another illegal means and replacing him with just another elected governor would be APC dipping itself deeper into chains of illegalities that it cannot get out from. If anything, the authentic National Chairman of APC as of today is Victor Gaidom. Because the court order that pronounced him as that is yet to be vacated nor challenged. So, if APC does not want to cease to exist as a political party, it’s time they invited him to take over the party except they are sure they have the judiciary in their pocket. Penguin is a bird of reason! Lalasticlala Mynd44 |
Johnnyessence:Time to chase Tinubu’s cousin out of Osun. After that is done, we move to Lagos and disband his dynasty. I wish Ambode could grow some balls and defect to PDP before governorship primaries. It will be a landslide victory. |
APC keeps dipping itself deeper into chains of illegalities. The only removal that was legally done was Oshiomole. Buni as APC caretaker chairman was an illegality because he is an elected governor who should not hold any other executive position. And again, the APC constitution in itself forbids an elected official from holding any position in its NWC. Now they are going into another illegality. APC has ceased to exist except the judiciary is dead. |
Tinubu urchins can go and die. I see Aregbesola throwing his weight behind the dancing senator too. Osun people rejoice, your dance of victory is nigh! |

Frigga13:Lol! They are not “acting” desperate. They, actually, are desperate. |
Lol Tinubu urchins were rejoicing that Sani Bello was about taking over APC and since he’s from Niger, maybe he’d make it easy for Tinubu endorsed Sani Musa to become APC chairman and consequently ensure easy ride for Tinubu to APC ticket. But Tinubu urchins’ problem is ignorance… If they weren’t stupid illiterates with empty brains, they would have understood that the president has no power to unilaterally suspend Buni as APC Caretaker Chairman. For Buni to be suspended or removed, Buni himself would have to call for NEC meeting or the Secretary would do that. But Akpanudoedehe seems to be unflinchingly loyal to Mai Mala Buni and therefore cannot convene a NEC meeting where harm would be done to Buni. And other purported suspension or removal of Buni that does not follow this process would be contrary to the APC constitution and therefore ultra vires and a nullity. So, Tinubu urchins, Buni is going nowhere. He will continue to be in charge of APC, stepping on Tinubu’s scrotum and he will conduct the party congress and convention together; where Amaechi will emerge as APC presidential candidate. Ndi ala! |
gerizzim:You are right. |
There’s a Supreme Court ruling against courts meddling in internal affairs of political parties. And that ruling supersedes any kangaroo court order procured by the Oyetola puppet who was sent to destabilize the PDP. PDP should go ahead with her primaries let the courts decide who is right or wrong rather than waiting until they run out of INEC timetable. |
It will be a miracle if APC survives after its convention. |

The kinda girls I like. Girls I’d banter with. Girls that understand the difference between Premier League, La liga, Serie A, etc. Girls that understand the geopolitical zones in Nigeria. Not some dumb idiots that only use their phones for InMessage and Snapchat filters and Instagram |
Philip94:I guess your “little” way is not enough for your wife and her parents except they have something else against you. Another thing I’m seeing is that you married someone you love and not someone that loves you. Possibly you were led by her beauty and you sadly ignored the absence of mental connection between the both of you which is what has gotten worse now. I don’t know what happens between you and your wife from here, but when next you are looking for a wife to settle down with, make sure she’s your gist mate. Make sure you guys have the same world view; same convictions about life. Make sure the woman genuinely cares about you and not somebody you chased for years. Beauty should come distant last. |
The problem is that you don’t have money ![]() No Nigerian in-law supports his/her daughter against a rich in-law. They thought you had prospects. They thought things will turn out for good for you so you will be wiring them with money but it seems the reverse has been the case. About your wife, she has divorced you psychologically and I suggest you do same physically by putting pen to papers and granting her the freedom she seeks. Stop allowing her be in the driver’s seat in the whole fracas, she has occupied it for too long, take up the driver’s seat, go on offensive, sit her down and tell her that you have decided to grant her the divorce she’s looking for and if her attitude doesn’t change, sincerely, then go ahead with the divorce and let her go and focus on yourself and making money. 10 years from today she will look back and regret treating you like shit. My 2 cents! |
If he likes, he should become a Papal Knight, it still won’t save his ass from being booted out from Imo Givt House in 2024. Onye Ala! |
Emefiele is already talking presidentially ![]() The things he’s saying do not sound like somebody who is exiting power with Buhari in 2023. He’s talking about middle to long term plans projects like he’s already sure of being around for the long term. I wonder where that leaves Tinubu and his urchins ![]()
|
hisexcellency34:You forgot that in 2015, Buhari, Tinubu and all the APC bigwigs went prostrating to Obasanjo. Una go just siddon for una mud house dey type rubbish without any iota of understanding of who is who and holds what influence in Nigeria. Underestimate OBJ at your own peril. Buhari won re-election in 2019 because he was already in power and knows how to use power unlike GEJ who doesn’t know how to use power. |
