We don't know him as a Nollywood actor. He was a Yoruba actor and not Nollywood.
Let me ask you, where do Yoruba theatre practitioners belong to? It has to be mediocrity or just sheer mischievousness to think otherwise.

Which Nollywood?
Maybe Afonjawood
People have left that point where you are.

Yorubas in Nollywood are the pioneers and still the pacesetters. Go check out blockbuster movies and see the people behind them.... They're Ọmọluabis.

* The Wedding Party
* King of Thieves
* Ijakumo
* Your Excellency
* Chief Daddy
* Merry Men
* Brotherhood
* Ọmọ Ghetto: The Saga
* The Bling Lagosians
* Battle on Bukka Street
* She must be Obeyed
* A Tribe Called Judah
* Christmas in Miami
* Sugar Rush

We're on top undisputed! Love us or die hating. Atọọle!

Baba Olofa Ina, It's so sad to see you too go. You were a master of your craft. You had a good command of the Yoruba language embellishing your thoughts with axioms and proverbs. What about strength of character? You had it all. The generation of the legends is gradually trickling away. Sometimes I worry. I fear for you, I fear for Bàbá Adẹ́rùpọkọ̀, I fear for Bàbá Ẹ̀dá Oníléọlá, Í fear for Bàbá Wándé, and I pray for longer life for you. You seem to have succumbed. Ibikíbi tẹ bá wà, Afẹ́fẹ́ ire o.

You will be sorely missed. Rest on Legend!

Men are allowed to speak. I totally agree with you. Did you listen to Emeka Ike's trouble with his wife ?
He got the sympathy of the public. In fact, many eyewitnesses spoke on his behalf. Truth is that Emeka Ike's was hardly at fault. He was a responsible man who loved and took good care of his family.
Can you compare that to Yul ? WHich reasonable person would come out to say 2023 was his best year after losing a child ? You have to be sensitive. What would his other children think about him ?
Exactly, how I feel. You know sometimes when we say some things, they don't come out the way we meant it to. It's insensitive on his part to say it's his best year. However the wife, May should just move on with her life if she wants to or just stay quietly in the marriage and face her children. I'm sure Yul is talking from the standpoint of his political affiliations and maybe business conquests but then, It's a whole child that died! However, It's becoming irritating. They should both act maturely and take their matter off the public space.

Does a wife earning more than the husband affect the marriage institution?

While a lot of people believe it does as according to them most women in this category tends to disrespect the man; others believe it doesn't as there are women who earn more than the husband and the information is known only between the man and the wife.

What is your opinion, do you have real life
experience or know a family where marriage is suffers because the woman later turned out to be earning more?

What would your advice be for men who later in life earns less than their wives?

What would be your advice for women who later earn more than the husbands
It doesn't affect the marriage in any way. You both have a home to run. The Koko is let everything be run well, it matters little where the headquarters is, operation must not stop, that's the Koko.

Why will a Fan not eat because his Team lost? sad

Every Football Club has Their Good and Bad Days and Sensible fans knows this.! smiley
Yes! Every club has its down moments. Look at Chelsea and Man U, even Liverpool, they're top teams but their fortunes have been on a downward plunge for some time now. Arsenal's win probability is better than theirs and all their fans will not kill themselves over that. I support Arsenal and it's painful whenever we lose, really painful. My husband knows and taunts me each time we lose, friends and family call and taunt me or sympathise with me, but you know what? Heaven will not fall. Life goes on, we move and prepare for the next match.

My resolve is to always support Arsenal; even if Arsenal relegates, I'll still support!

Not eating or throwing tantrums is just being childish and inconsiderate.

It's not satanic. You just want your team (which is like your baby) to do well. Like yesterday's match now, I didn't watch it because the reviews before the match didn't look good for us so I have kinda switched off. He should be able to do that - Know when we're fantastic and know when the odds are against us. That way you keep yourself in check. Just talk to him ok?

I am a staunch Arsenal fan. I've been following Arsenal since the time of Dennis Bergkamp, Ray Parlor, Jeremie Aladiere, Julio Baptista, Antonio Reyes, Kanu Nwakwo and the likes and by now, I've gotten used to Arsenal's inconsistency. How old is he? He should get a hold of himself and get a life outside of football. There will be good days and awful days like last night. Why should he take out his frustration on you? As a man, he should have a grasp over his emotions and treat you right. You're not responsible for his woes. Sit him down and tell him all these, if he's unflinchingly adamant, dump him! He cannot head a home! He's a disaster waiting to erupt.

I wonder the type of mentality women have grin
In Nigeria, no one is putting any pressure on you to make money, why can't you remain pure and chaste?

It's much easier to close one's legs and be chaste than to hustle and make money as a man. Why can't women close their legs? Must you always fornicate?

Men overtly encourage this whorish attitude, they set the trend that these ladies follow. The ladies have absolutely no power because the power of commitment lies with the man. If men set standards of no virginity, no marriage, all the women out there will close their legs and zip up.
Ó sọ̀rọ̀ bíi Atọ̀ọ́lé, ó sọ̀rọ̀ bíi Òpònú!

While I don't condone sleeping around under any guise, some women do it because they are actually pressured to provide. In many homes in Nigeria, women are co-breadwinners or sole breadwinners. Some can't think of another way than to exchange sex for Goodwill.

I truly envy those who pulled through because in most cases, those marriages last long, if not forever and they live happily.
You are right because almost always, the friendship is pure, devoid of ulterior motives and you are not under any form of pressure to do anything.

My husband and I were friends for 16 years before we eventually formalised it. We've been married for a lil over a decade and it still feels like yesterday. Marriage is sweet when you marry your friend.

Seeking your thoughts, everyone!!!

I work as a salaried individual and earn around 400k monthly.

However, my girlfriend constantly asks for money. I give her almost 100k every month and she feels it's not enough for her. She's even voiced discontent, suggesting I only send her money when she explicitly requests it.

I'm beginning to suspect her motives, as she seems solely focused on my income.

She never suggests saving or helps in cutting costs; her primary interest lies in spending everything.
Despite my genuine love for her, I can't keep up with her demands. I had hopes for our future together, but it seems unlikely now.

I'm considering a breakup as a solution.

Has anyone navigated a similar situation?
From a big sister to her kid bro... Please let her go. Any woman that will not help you build a dynasty, but squander things like a prodigal son is nothing but a witch from the gravest covens. Run! She is no good.

Bizarre, and some Christians find it amusing.
Pity.
Go to your Muslim session, that has been segregated on Nairaland, and go say your opinion there... and see if your brothers will not sacrifice you for blasphemy.

I don't exactly understand what you want us to say or do. Tear down billboards? Set fire on media houses? Block roads? Start killing people for blasphemy? Or demand that all skit makers apologise or we destroy them? Just what? Our God fights for himself if and when He needs to. He needs no help from anyone to do what He likes when He wants.

We're not violent like you guys, ok? Don't heat up the polity more than it's already volatile. People are hungry, people are unemployed, people are insecure, those are enough trouble. If you are spewing for more trouble, take your biterness to your people in the mosques, go and fry yourselves there. Radarada!
