i am not unfeeling or insensitive, just how on earth will somebody give birth to 30 children? Especially when you are impoverished. Is that not mindlessness? Anyway RIP to the dead. Now he has successfully inducted more IDPs into the already overgrown population. |
Alexgman1:No! It didn't take you 5 months to get over her. You never did! If you could do this recently, it means you never got over her. She's haunting you in your thoughts and actions! She has been cruel to leave you, you think? We weren't there, we don't know what made her leave but you are not any better than her. What you did is a wicked thing too. Go and ask God to forgive you. Awon elese! |
drololaaof:Infact the timing of the separation was a spanner in the wheel for her political ambition. She didn't think it through at all. If she were a good manager, she could've still held on and get a good hold on the people before showing JjC the door. Personally, I think she's a user Jandor, Nollywood is speaking, they're just being subtle about it. Their silence means disapproval. Sikena! |
Jandor or Jendor or whatever he calls himself is talking like a baby. Nollywood is keeping quiet? Na by force to talk? Theatre is different from reality fa! There is no completely bad person in the world. Even Hitler or Putin had people that will be forever loyal to them because they have been good to them. As Buhari wowo reach, some people will never speak evil of him no matter what. That's Tinubu's standing with our Nollywood practitioners. Tinubu has been bailing them out since 1807. Who will they pledge their allegiance to? It's only natural nah! I'd do the same too if I were them. Yoruba so pe, gba mi nigba ojo, ki n gba e nigba erun. That's the rule of one good turn. |
pocohantas:Well spoken. You can also get those on Glassdoor and Indeed. |
lovediehatelive:She has broken up with you, na you neva break up with her ![]() |
My hubby is 2 and that's my spec. 1 or 2 is ok for me. |
yinkaOdutuyo:Go and get DD Force. You'll thank me later. Better than sniper. The smell is not as repulsive. You can mix with kerosene if you think it's too concentrated. Dem no born dem well! I can't remember the last time I saw cockroach in the house. Make the remaining no go expire self. |
NextD18:I laugh in Mandarin at your foolhardiness! Says who? O ma se o! |
Oh! My God! This is a sad news. Oh God! When you run from one evil only to land in a graver evil! My God! Young men. They haven't even reached their prime! May God comfort their families. A o ni gba letter ofo lori awon omo wa. |
Zanzibar1:None for now, sorry. |
Scamupdates:Superstition! Pure ignorance. Arrant nonsense! It's a medical condition that has to do with placement of stuff in one's brain. Something that has to do with the developmental process that differentiates the right and left halves of the body, (hemisphere) otherwise known as right-left asymmetry. Medical practitioners can throw more light on this. |
Zanzibar1:18k for a teacher? Naija! I'm a teacher too and earn 6 figures. Upgrade yourself. Learn digital skills you can use to teach. You can have online classes as a side thing. I do other side stuff too cause even the salary ain't enough. God 18k! Some school owners are witches in disguise! |
Congratulations Tobi! When you were saying the national anthem at your award ceremony and crying, I cried along with you. You're the only positive thing I've seen or heard about Nigeria in a while. I love Nigeria but she's breaking my heart over and over again. |
Alapojamesy:You can compare a teacher and what he sees to Musa at the gate and what he sees too. I once told a parent that the daughter is a "roughian" I mean the notes and her work generally, only for the mother to say she's not rough in Jesus name. Na me be devil abi? The thing is some parents don't want to hear the truth about their children. Me I don't know how to sugarcoat. I try to be as professional as I can be, but I'll tell you the truth. I don't know how to play dilly-dally with a child's life. In the case above, what the teacher wrote is unethical, especially on a record that's gonna stand forever. She should have facilitated a meeting with the parents instead. |
Arkmanbuddy:Nobody forces anybody to pay any dues, fees or levies in the church. It's always voluntary. Dunno where the idea of coercion comes from. That's number one. Two, Yes, the concern of God is the people. Plus the people in the community too who might be persuaded by the community projects the church has engaged in. My church organises holiday coaching for the neighbourhood kids. I'm one of the volunteer teachers. Last summer, we had about 200 school children coming for coaching everyday, 80% of them moslems. Some of the teachers are not church members, we paid them. We also feed the children everyday plus stationeries. Volunteer people from the church contributed willingly to this course not by coercion. We do health care services periodically and people in the neighborhood are given free treatment-drugs, tests, injections etc. I know some people who are our church members today because of these projects. Lastly, you said a church is not the building but the people. Now these people coming together to meet, where do they stand or sit to meet? On the road, in the air or on water? Answer truthfully and show me how a church is the people and not a building! |
My favourite is Ecclesiastes 9:11 I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, not the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, not yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. This means your pace, strength, wisdom, skill do not necessarily translate to anything tangible. The fact that you are educated doesn't automatically means you'd lead a successful life. Rather, things are decided by chance, being at the right place at the right time. We need the leading of the holy spirit to be at the right place at the right time. Thank you. |
Arkmanbuddy:Your thinking dates back to several years back back back. A church, believe it or not, needs funds to run smoothly. There are staff members to be paid - security, cleaners, secretary, admin staff, etc. Bills to be paid - electricity, diesel for gen, data, fuel for vehicles, repairs and maintenance etc. All of these do not run on water. Some churches even engage in special projects - evangelism, community works etc. Running of a church isn't yam and beans okay? Then as for instrumentalists getting paid, it depends. If your church has members that can use the guitar well, play drums, gangan, keyboard and sax you're fine but churches with no members who can do this have to hire musicians to do them. Now the musicians who are hired will collect money because that is their own daily occupation that they earn a living from. Na you teach them how to play? Some of them invested in schools and materials to learn all the stuff. In my church, we have about 6 instrumentalists. My husband is the only one among them that does it for free. He can handle all the other instruments apart from his guitar, but he can only do one at a time. Apart from that, it's a matter of personal conviction if you wanna do it for free or not. Choristers don't get paid but we have benefits or privileges that we enjoy so please stop thinking like an ancient man biko. |
I'm greedy. Wanna choose two things. Number 4&8, So help me God! |
Offpoint1:Of a truth, you need deliverance. I bite my nails. Tried stopping but keep returning. |
Fairview1:Thank you. |
Channah1:One thing is missing, Iru. I cook this meal a lot. If anyone is from my side of Kogi State, this wouldn't be new to them. We call it Iresi A'borode'fe |
StonedLex:Yeah! I remember my job hunting days. I was part of a two-week training, a prerequisite for joining the insurance firm. The training was tough and challenging. At the end we would write an exam to determine who gets picked. During the training, you'd see a lot of foolish or unnecessary questions asked by youths who wanted to show off, some would even make more stupid assertions like that. Me, wetin concern me? I no dey ask questions and I no dey ever contribute or suggest anything. After writing the exams, the coordinator who also doubled as our trainer called me to his office the next day. He asked me, "How did you manage to come tops of the class when you never said a word since you all came here?" He said he thought I never understood anything that was going on since I was a laid-back kind of. I smiled. This one doesn't know me. All through my school life, I was like that. I never did pick up the job eventually despite being number one in the training. The man wanted sex in exchange for a slot, with a promise to facilitate my rise in the company by handing me ready-made clients. I refused. |
