seunmsg:
This Gwarzo is really very stupid. Instead of defending the allegation of breach of public service rules levelled against him, he's busy blackmailing the minister. His allegation against the minister would have been believable if he had made it before he was suspended.
Quite true, Gwarzo, like most Nigerian public officials, probably has interests in companies that he should not have by law.

But you are all still missing one important thing.

For how long has Gwarzo had this alleged conflict of interest, and, should we not be a bit CURIOUS that his alleged sins are coming to light ONLY after indicting OANDO Plc of multi-billion naira fraud ?

And, did Adeosun try to stop the investigation before finally trying to nail Gwarzo for the alleged conflict of interest ?

Our problem in Nigeria is that no one likes to be accountable.

A lot of you are quick to take sides based on tribe or politics, without asking the very questions that are Germaine to issue.

Gwarzo may be guilty of conflict of interests.
Adeosun might also be wrong by obstructing or stopping the probe of OANDO Plc for multi-billion naira fraud.

Neither issues should obfuscate the other.

If you are doubting statistics from the NBS then we cannot have a discussion.
huh

First of all, are not allowed to question the statistics from the NBS ?
The same NBS that uses the colonial era method of using the prices of groundnuts, oranges, and other colonial era cash crops to calculate inflation in the modern era ?

Aside from that, you never provided a link.
Because of that, I don't know whether the actual words and terms in your post was yours or NBS.

For example, saying ' $4b capital import ' is meaningless, unless you specify whether it's a net capital inflows in the form of foreign investments, repatriation from citizens in the Diaspora or cash repatriation from oil proceeds.

When foreign investments come in, they flow into certain sectors such as oil and gas, IT, banking and finance, the capital markets, etc,.and therefore create commensurate economic activities and employment in those sectors.

You can't just throw numbers around without a sensible explanation.

Latest report by the National Bureau of Statistics reveal that the total capital imported in the hit $4.145 billion, an amount more than double the inflow in the second quarter of the same year, representing an increased value of 147.5 per cent on a year on year basis.

The record is the first since the beginning of 2015 that capital hit over $4 billion in a quarter, and this boom was mainly was mainly driven by significant growth in both Portfolio Investment and Other Investments.
What the fck are you talking About ?
Are you talking about foreign investment inflows , or are you referring to repatriated foreign exchange from Nigerians abroad or are you talking about repatriation of oil sale proceeds ?

If you are referring to foreign investment inflows, then may I kindly ask to know in which sectors of the economy are these investments flowing into ? Where is it creating employment in the economy ?

And by the way, did you compare the figures to the foreign exchange outflows ?

Religious beliefs do seem to have a relationship with mental illness. After all religion is a delusion itself. Religion doesn't cause mental illness instead it makes sane people do insane things. However if one has a mental illness, one's religious beliefs may flourish on that illness and those belief might make the illness worsen ie. Mental illness is a good breeding ground for the explosive display of religious beliefs.

Okowa Stresses Need For Prayers To Improve Nigeria's Fortunes

Delta State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, has stressed the need for Deltans and Nigerians at large to pray for the country for improved fortunes.

Senator Okowa, represented by the Commissioner for Information, Mr. Patrick Ukah, during the 40th anniversary and award presentation of Christian Evangelical Social Movement (CESM) of Nigeria held in Unity Hall, Asaba, on Friday stated that as much as the government is set to do its bid in actualising the yearnings of the people, God's blessings and grace remains a galvanising force.

The Governor commended the leadership of CESM for their resilience in holding the movement together.

He said, "There is no doubt in my mind that the birth and subsequent activities of this movement and other similar prayer movements after yours must have had a salutary impact on your nations destiny."

"That you did not allow the vision and dreams of the founding father to die within the walls of the universities but you have continued to sustain the vision, speaks of the dedication and sense of purpose that have been the driving force of this movement." He added.

The Chairman CESM, Pastor Austin Okachi, in his welcome address said the programme themed ' Generational Impact: Past, Present and Future' is in celebration of the 40 years of effective and fruitful existence of the body.

Delta State Chairman, Pentecostal Fellowship Nigeria (PFN), Bishop Patrick Enakere, in his good will message, stressed the need for patience and urged Christians to continue to have faith as every prophecy concerning Nigeria would be fulfilled.

Others who delivered goodwill messages include, the PFN National President, Dr. Felix Omobude, PFN National Deputy President, Dr. Francis Waleoke, among others.

Highpoint of the ceremony was the presentation of awards to some deserving individuals, including the state Governor.
Idiot governor.

Instead of building schools, vocational centres, libraries and technology campuses, useless leaders building church auditoriums and asking their citizens to pray for better times and progress.

And the prayers generated since middle East religions migrated into Nigeria has done exactly what ?

Doing the same thing over and over again while expecting a different outcome each time is the clinical definition of Insanity.

This over-reliance on middle East Stone age worldviews to navigate modern realities is the reason why our realities are so fragmented.

" As a man thinketh, so he is and lives ".

If we continue to think in stone age terms, we will inevitably live in Stone age realities.

mrnelson1994:
SULE LAMIDO REVEALS HOW BUHARI TREATED LATE YAR’ADUA WITH SO MUCH HATRED.

Sule Lamido, former Jigawa State Governor has described President Muhammadu Buhari as “intolerant and vengeful.”

The former governor made the remark while alleging that Buhari never forgave the late Musa Yar’Adua for defeating him during the 2007 presidential election.

Speaking in Abuja on Thursday, Lamido claimed that despite not attending Council of State meeting while Yar’Adua was alive, upon the death of the late president, Buhari attended the next meeting.

Lamido accused the All Progressives Congress, APC-led Federal Government of lying itself to power.

Speaking directly to the president, Lamido said, “If you destroy too much, one day you will also lead.”

He spoke further, “Typical of you APC, you have not been able to metamorphose from an opposition party to a party in government. Same old rhetorics. More blame games, more problems. Telling lies. That is what you are. Your party, not you as a person.

“The election in 2007 was among three northerners who are Fulani. Gen. Buhari, Atiku Abubakar and Umaru Musa Yar’adua. We are talking about tolerance and making sacrifices which you (Buhari) tried to allude to.

“After the elections, PDP with about 27 governors and a number of local governments in Nigeria won the elections. The two other northerners went to the tribunal and lost; went up to the Supreme Court and lost. If you go by their pedigree, and again I mean no offence, Yar’Adua was the most qualified democrat among them.

“He was a northerner, a Fulani like them. He was not Ijaw. He was not Jonathan, but even at that, they never forgave Yar’Adua up till when he died. For the over two years that Yar’Adua was president, Gen. Buhari never attended the Council of State meeting. He never did.

“When Yar’Adua became sick, the pressure and harassment he went through in the National Assembly, some of us stood by him but we were not being seen as northerners or PDP. When God took him, the first (Council of State) meeting that the then President Jonathan called, the first to be there was Gen. Buhari. It says so much about tolerance. It says so much about vendetta. It says so much about hate.

“Thereafter in the PDP, somehow, Jonathan ran in 2011 and those who are now preaching tolerance were not tolerant. He (Buhari) refused to concede and in the north, people like us were villified and blackmailed.

“I was called a ‘pastor’, a preacher because I had a contrary opinion. At that time, you were either for them or you were not a northerner and a lot of people were killed in the north because of the hate speeches. APC won in 2015 by creating disaffection among families. In Gusau, they went from house to house flogging PDP members.

“APC is telling us what government should do after three years in power. APC should tell us what they have failed to do.”
Thank you.

For those who bought that " Mr integrity" bullshyt, the joke is on all of us , unfortunately.
