mendes911: Apart from Zenith Bank, I don't see anywhere else that looks like they are in. They cannot completely exit our market and for sure they are not only buying into the banking sector. However, the kind of inflow that will give our market a sustained bull for two to three months is not available yet. We might be having mini bull and individual stock rally in the meantime... |

ukay2: Happy new year my ogas. .
Really thinking of investing huge sum of funds in stocks come February 2020...
UACN OR DANGCEM or ACCESS
Holding period of 6 months to 2years....for capital appreciation and or dividend payments
Your advice will be appreciated
Cc: Currentprice RabbiDoracle Onegentleguy Agba Rebecca Pluto Emmanuelwumi And other ogas.
Thanks It will be better to ask the question in February when you are ready to buy. One month is a long time in stock market. The price we pay for equity is more important than any other thing and so nobody can tell what the price of those stocks will be in February. |

RabbiDoracle: There will be further downside on WAPCO.
Bank is the sector to be. You are sounding too assured of your prediction. Market is never a 100% thing. Nobody has ever gotten it 100% right. I hope you will not loose your respect soon. |

jamace: Not you but YOK. Or are you YOK also?
Check Page 5106 of this thread for YOK's comment and particularly the attached information "EXPOSED". You will notice that he talked about Vitafoam but edited the table to PZ. I read it yesterday and I'm sure of this. I even checked the TA of Vitafoam on my chart because of his comment. To be fair to yok, I think he actually made a mistake with this one you are quoting. |

Godlylifeoneart: The way DANGOTE is going, he might end up buying WAPCO. Over the years, he has poached many staff of WAPCO . Alhaji detest competitors. He picked ibeto, Bua and ensures they are never at the same level with DC The exit of Michel Puchercos will definitely affect wapco. At the exit of. Joseph makanju, wapco struggled to compete for years. It was a period of regular rights issues. Puchercos returned wapco as investors darling, and Alhaji suddenly poached him. He has broken investors heart. We wish the Arab technocrat at the helm a successful mission. He is stepping into a Big pair of Shoe. Puchercos is 2 man in one. Wapco staff will mourn him. No one is indispensable, Wapco will surely reach the height What actually did puchercos do for WAPCO? What was WAPCO price when he took over What is the price now How profitable was WAPCO then and what is the situation now |

CashDiMkpa: UACN will simply cede the portion of the shares it owns in both entities while other shareholders who hold the shares independently will retain theirs. If UACN owns 60% of the shares, then that's the proportion that will be given to existing shareholders of UACN in an agreed sharing ratio. If some existing shareholders of UPDC and REIT do not own shares in UACN, they wont be getting any additional shares from UACN. That's how i suppose it will work. Good, you have answered my question. That take us to another one. Why is UACN giving up its shares in REIT? I understand they are giving it up in UPDC because it has not been a profitable venture. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by pluto09(m): 7:09pm On Dec 19, 2019 |
OakPearl: The same way in the sense that UACN is the parent company of both UPDC and UPDC-REIT, just as UCAP and AFRIPRUD were subsidiaries of UBA. "Not the same way" in the sense that UCAP and AFRIPRUD weren't listed then as UPDC and UPDC-REIT are now. For UBA, new units of shares of UCAP and APR were created to be issued to uba shareholders. I know UACN is the parents company of both UPDC and REIT but I also understand that you can not pluck units of shares from the air. It is either they create new one or some unit holders are given up their shares. |

emmanuelewumi: Same way shareholders of UBA were given shares of United Capital, Africa Prudential Registrars and Afriland Properties shares some years ago. Not the same way sir. United capital and APR were not listed separately on the exchange before the unbundling. |

nna777: If you accumulate UACN, you will get pro rate approx 100:60:30 where 100 represents as example (100,000 units of UACN , 60,000 UPDC & 30,000 REIT).
hope this helps. Where are these free UPDC and REIT shares that will be given to UACN shareholders coming from? Who is giving up his/her units to dash others or are they going to create extra units of UPDC and REIT |

rebekah2011: I have been searching through the news to know the companies that really signed the 20 years deal with NLNG. is it NAOC or OER. NAOC is the operator of most of Oil assets where OER is a joint venture partner. The way these guys push out news to prop up the market price is way way beyond me. Sometimes I tempted to agree that investing in stocks quoted on NSE is like gambling. I wanted to ask you the question when I saw the news. I need someone to explain to me as I couldn't understand the story. Who is producing? Who is selling? Who is buying? |

Mpeace: Non-interest income came in strongly during the quarter (+60.5% QoQ to N12.3 billion), largely bolstered by reversal of c.N4.8 billion relating to provisions for litigation deemed no longer necessary. Other components of fee income were relatively flat QoQ.
Adjusting for the impact of the N4.8 billion litigation-related reversal, which we believe is non-recurring, FCMB would have made a loss of c. N1.5 billion in Q3'19. This is concerning, in our view.https://www.proshareng.com/news/Stock---Analyst-Updates/FCMB-Group-Plc-9M-19---Earnings-Falter,-/48243
FCMB result is not good. But the "promoters" will not let it fall. Not without a fight. I will not be surprised if our in-house analyst attack proshare as an enemy of fcmb who want the price to fall so they can buy for themselves at a cheaper price |

Now,I am sure of fcmb retaining the #2 support but that will be by 2pm when the players will come out to do the damage control.
We will continue to observe until we hand over at no loss. You can do better by talking less on fcmb. I also hold some units of fcmb and I have decided on what to do immediately I saw the q3 result. These 2 men have been of great help and assistance here. we need to respect people's differences and manner of approach as regards stock analysis.
Since we're not all robots, it begs to say that variety will be inclusive. you have the choice to choose whom you like and disregard the other.
Besides most of us commenting now have been silent all these while only to comment now( very bad).
If you know you haven't been helped by these 2 men, please throw the next stone, but if you know you have ............ The two of them are good at what they are doing here. However, as humans they both have their flaws. Anyone who wishes to benefit from their posts must learn how to overlook the individual shortcomings |

Asmaraabc: Regards to all for very useful lectures am receiving from many of you through this forum. Anyone candid advice is needed this time around to guide me in taking decision on an issue. A particular amount is being kept in fixed deposit for my son's education but due to reduction in MPR by CBN, the investment rate is badly affected and dont want to roll it over any longer. Will appreciate any better option(s) from this group on how to manage the fund.
Cc: OGG, CP, Prof, MCY, Infinitis, Valueinvestor, RabbiDoracle & others Buying shares could be rewarding but can also drain you emotionally. Do you really think you are ready for the stock market? Assuming you buy wapco and zenith today and in two weeks you find out that they have lost about 10 to 20% of their purchased value, what will you do? If you think you are ready, I will advise that you don't put all your money in a single stock, that is not the best way to go for a starter. |

Rate will go up when demand slows down. For now too much money is chasing Tbills and rate can only go lower. The CBN is doing a good job but they can only continue with this if oil price stays up.. |

rebekah2011: These analysts can do anything to entice one to fall on a knife. Q3 eps of CCNN is 67kobo. OBU Cement whose financials are private has paid a premium for the shares of CCNN we have been made to believe. shares worth 17 is valued at 35 per share. the implication will be that CCNN is even more profitable thn an OBU Cement. We await the final figures of the combined entities in March 2020. The PAT of both entities is projected to be 64b. DC produces more than 30MT and the market values it at N2.4trillion. WAPCO is 10MT and the market values it at N224billion. OBU will be 8MT and they valued it at N1.2trillion. When Obu is eventually listed,Mr market will place it where it belongs. That overvaluation can not stand for long. |

Mcy56: Chai! You caught me red-handed here again. Na quick profit dragged me there o. Im neither FA or TA person but SA (both Sentimental and Spiritual). Anyway, I checked their financials it was okay. Also read they're doing a special/private placement of 1.20k per share, so I just thought they may shore up the share price to make it look attractive in the meantime.........but with all these advices from the veterans here, I think I needed to redefine my objectives, do more readings so I can become better. It is OK if you have checked their financial result. My sincere advice, most of the people you see here who claim to use spiritual, sentimental or gut analysis are well grounded in both FA and TA. Somebody like Agba will use 8 months to study/analyze stocks/market before using gut. The famous prophet Utuocha of SMN got his fingers burnt severally with his direct vision from heaven in picking stocks Do your home work and know the reason you are buying a stock. |

Godlylifeoneart: UNILEVER SHOULD BE REVIEWED BY THE HOUSE
Good points. What is your view and fear of Unilever
Now 5 years low Most independent analysts placed Unilever on a hold. Majority shareholders of the company give the status of too balanced to fall. I think this company should be one of the listed companies that will recover in post bear economy. A big opportunity for risk takers. PE ratio 37.9 EPS.....0.46 DIV yield 8.4% Still a leading force in the consumer goods sector. If NB and Guinness could fall, there is no stock that is too balanced to fall. The consumer goods sector is not looking good in the country and I can't see a turn around in the immediate future. Those with good knowledge of TA will profit better from this kind of stock which are on downward trajectory. |
