My dear I don't have anything to gain by lying. I have first hand information of what happened. My friend'save mum is the only surviving child ofriendly her mother cos her siblings died of hunger. After she lost two children, my friend's grand mum told the husband that she was leaving for delta as she can't go through the agony of burying the surviving child. She left for her village on delta and only came back after the war.

Some people fought for biafra like my uncle cos he was captured on his way to the village. He was taken away from the family and told him his family would get to the village safely. We did not join the war but my uncle fought for biafra cos he was forcefully recruited. He served as a senior officer in the biafra army cos he had a brief stinct in the Nigerian Navy. He was among those captured after the war for treason.

The story is a very long one but I will stop here.

I cant really say what they usually ask of cos in my case I was not asked any serious thing. I was asked the purpose of visiting Uk and what my host does for a living.

She did not lie. She could not just muster courage to say it. It is not easy to be truthful at all times. The guy complaining told her to come out clean, I believe it is for him to know what he is getting into. Now she has come out completely clean and he is behaving like this. He is a LIAR for lying that he just wanted to start clean.

The second reason is actually why I am more angry with her. She has lied to me previously and I don't know if I can believe and trust her again.

She has been very remorseful and she told me she came out clean because she wants to set everything right before we get married.

The issue here is that I don't know how can I trust her again?

She did not lie to you. She knew the gravity of what she committed, she still has a conscience. Do you think it is easy to say that to someone? She did not tell you cos she was not sure of how you would take it. Now you just confirmed her fears. If God is to mark our iniquity who will stand? Don't repeat that word LIE again. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. There is no perfect person in this world.
