Crime › Re: Chloe Davison Commits Suicide Because She Wasn’t Getting Enough Likes Online by poik(m): 5:00pm On Jan 10, 2020
bigmoney88:
A teenage girl who was addicted to social media ended her life after she failed to get enough “likes” on her photos.

Chloe Davison, 19, was an aspiring model who relied on social media to feel good about herself, according to her older sister Jade.

“She thought she wasn’t good enough unless she was getting loads of likes and comments,” her 20-year-old sister said.

The selfie-loving teen hanged herself in her bedroom moments after she had been active on social media.

After the girl started using social media several year ago, “all she would talk about was how many likes she got,” her mum Clair Reynolds, 44, said.

“She was addicted to apps like Instagram and Snapchat,” said family friend Nick Coombs, 55, who had known Chloe since she was young.

“She would spend hours taking the perfect photo, but would delete it later if it didn’t get popular enough,” Coombs added.

Chloe struggled socially at school and rarely went out with friends, instead staying indoors and taking pictures of herself for social media.

The pretty 19-year-old was often targeted by online trolls who would send her nasty messages and mocked her appearance.

“Chloe was crying many nights because someone had said something horrible about her online,” her older sister Jade Davison told the news.

On Friday night, Chloe’s mum and sister returned home from a bar around 11:30pm, and found the teenager hanging in her bedroom.

Chloe had been taking selfies moments before she killed herself, according to Nick Coombs, 55, who was at the house when the brunette was found dead.

“When we took her body down, her hair and makeup were still perfect,” Coombs said. “She was wearing some new lingerie that she’d been excited to model.”

The girl’s mum, Clair Reynolds, said she blamed social media for what happened. “Social media took over Chloe’s life, whether that be Snapchat or Facebook.”

She added: “Chloe was beautiful, but she didn’t see that. She cared too much about how other people saw her.”

Coombs said that too many people felt they could say whatever they wanted to the attractive teen because it wasn't face-to-face.

“She’d get hundreds of messages each day, mostly men asking her for sexual stuff,” Coombs said. “Sometimes they were nice, but other times they told Chloe they wanted to hurt her.”

Both adults agreed that the girl had low self-esteem and relied on social media for reassurance.

The 19-year-old had thousands of social media followers when she killed herself.

There should be a unanimous agreement between all the countries in the world on the destruction of ALL weapons of mass destruction and a body set up for a continuous check in the activities of countries to avoid recreation.

Countries without WMDs would always agitate to have one. No country should be given the monopoly of creating WMDs and at the same time stop others from creating one for themselves.

I often wonder why the US, Russia, Germany etc would freely build these weapons and have a problem with other countries developing one for themselves. In as much as others have, others would feel threatened and would want to create one for themselves to have that sense of security.

Its either ALL weapons are destroyed or everyone allowed to build one for themselves.
It is sad that lives are wasted every time tensions escalate like this.

But look at it this way. Equality is only a paper concept. Anyhow you look at it, something must put one person ahead of another, or one country ahead of the other.
America is like a world police. So are some of these world powers. Imagine how the society would look like if there were no armed policemen or soldiers. It would promote more lawlessness.

I was quietly sitting in my cozy sofa when I got message from my whatsapp relationship group. The sender wants to be kept anonymous here's the message.

"I was going through my boyfriends phone today and sI aw a number saved with "runs girl", Out of curiosity I decided to check it out, behold he saved my number with that name. I have been heartbroken since morning, Why on earth will he save my number with runs girl. And this is somebody that claims to love me and wants to marry me.

We took blood oath a while ago promising each other never to betray each other. Please what do you think I should do. I think all men are scum, considering the fact that we even had an oath."

I really dont know how to reply this lady, because in my honest opinion why would a girl in this 21st century stiil engage in oath taking with a guy hes dating. I was left with no clue.
Nobody wakes up to save somebody's number with that name. Nobody.
What was the basis of the blood oath?

Romance › Re: HAZARD'S ENLIGHTENMENTS: How To Pick The Right Wife by poik(m): 12:41am On Jan 06, 2020
hazard7:
Marriage is a wonderful institution. You will agree with me that there is nothing as sweet as having the right partner that gives you peace of mind. But sadly, our society has become "A Bonobo Masturbation Society" where marriages priority has been misplaced and turned into something else entirely. Not to worry at the end of this piece you will learn how to pick the right mate.
PREVIEW
You have two options: You will get married or you won't get married. If you will get married then this enlightenment is for you. I will not review whether or not you should get married but I will review how to pick the right wife.
Picking the right wife is of utmost importance. Marriage is a life-long commitment and requires a great deal of forethought. Getting married without a plan and without any forethought is a terrible decision.
Getting married is a business decision. Marriage is a contract between two entities. You've got to enter into it with the ruthless mind of an enlighten businessman for it to work. You've got to pick the right wife like a businessman picks a company to invest in. It shouldn't be left to chance (“love”) –you've got to be pro-active, know what you want and then go after it.
Marriage isn't about love or connecting with your soul-mate. Those are inventions of TV and movies. Marriage is an exchange of resources. Your wife shall provide A and you
will provide B. If your wife doesn't, or won't, provide her share then she should not have the privilege of marriage with you.
Marriage is a contract and you've got to try your hardest to make sure that contract is reinforced. You cannot make the
best decision when you're emotionally love-sick like a 16 year old school boy. No businessman who wants to stay in business will sign a contract in an emotional state of mind and no man who wants to stay married will marry just because he loves a girl. It takes rational,clear-headed planning and thinking to pick the right wife material.
WHEN TO GET MARRIED:
The best time for a man to get married is after 30 years of age. At that age he has had a long time to live life, earn a reasonable amount of money and think of what he wants in a wife. Most men under 30 years of age aren't mature enough to make the best decision about who to spend their life with(but if you are one of the rare men under 30 that is matured enough to know what he wants then do what you feel like otherwise continue reading).
Now remember, 30 years old is the starting age to think of marriage. That doesn't mean you should get married at 30 or by 30. Anytime between 30-45 is a good time to tie the knot. Between the ages of 30-45 is when a man's marriage value is at its highest.
With all that done and dusted, let's talk about my favourite part of the enlightenment.
TOP 12 RULES ON PICKING THE RIGHT WIFE
1) SHE MUST BE YOUNG
The woman should be 25 years of age MAXIMUM. 22 is even better and 19 is the best age. A woman's body does not age well. You want the most amount of years with your wife having a tight, young, firm body. After 30 it goes downhill fast. At around the age of 31 a woman's beauty really declines fast.
It's a tradeoff, she gives you her good years and you put up with her in her bad years. Never take a woman already in her bad years. Women do not age well. Single women over the age of 30 have wasted all their pretty years having a lot of random sex and now they want to find a beta male who will take care of them without having to give him any of her good years. Don't be that sucker.
A young body is especially important for bearing children. Old women cannot have and don't have healthy children. At
30 years of age a woman is already 15 years past her child-bearing prime.
(But, hazard I like talking to smart women. 20 year olds are stupid) sorry dude but her IQ won't grow much with age. A dumb 20 year old is a dumb 30 year old. The difference is that the 30 year old dumb woman is a lot more bitter and has a whole lot less to offer.
2) SHE HAS TO COME FROM AN INTACT FAMILY WITH ORIGINAL FATHER AND MOTHER
No step-mommies and step-daddies. Children from single mommy homes are 70%/100 not healthy. A mother simply cannot raise healthy children alone or with step-daddies. You want an emotionally healthy wife. Women who grew up with no original father or mother have too much emotional baggage and will not know how to act in a proper family setting.
3) SHE MUST NOT BELIEVE IN DIVORCE
If she mentions the word ‘divorce', praises a friend who got a divorce, or says divorce is an option then she is not a good mate. Throw her back in the water and go fishing some more. To make a marriage work, both the man and wife must think of divorce as no option at all.
4) SHE MUST BE IMAGE CONCIOUS
Every woman will gain a few pounds when they settle with a man. It's unavoidable. What is unacceptable is a woman
blowing up to whale proportions.
A woman who gets pig-fat after marriage is a disgrace to herself and her family. She must be aware of her image and keep her body trim for you. Women will always gain a few pounds after marriage, but there is a difference between a few pounds and one hundred pounds. Take a look at all the women in her family, if they are all pig-fat it's a good idea to walk away as fast as you can. You will have to see your wife
daily, you don't want to be seeing her as a cow for the rest of your life.
5)SHE MUST BE FAMILY ORIENTED NOT CAREER ORIENTED
This is going to be the mother of your children and the keeper of your house. An Enlighten man doesn't need two
incomes, he can provide, what he needs is a keeper of home and heart.
Two income households leave the raising of their children to expensive day cares and schools, and then mommy goes to work so they can afford to pay for day care and babysitters. (But hazard I don't want children -then don't get married. The only reason to get married is to have a family).
(But hazard I want a career woman) it doesn't matter, even if she is a career woman when you met she will not be when she is older. No woman wants to work but it takes some of them a long time to figure that out. They waste all their youth playing/working their career and then realize what a huge mistake they made and leave their jobs to take care of their (quite possibly retarded – that's what happens when old ladies have babies) child. How many 45 year old married female lawyers or other professionals do you know?
The women who work in this "affluenza" age do so because they have no choice and they whine about it every day of their life. They would give anything to leave their jobs and take care of their family instead.
No woman truly wants to work. Work is a man's world and always will be. A woman's work should be in the home taking care of the home and children.
6)SHE MUST BE A "GOOD"GIRL
She cannot be a drinker or a smoker or have any tattoos. She cannot have a party girl past, a olosho past, and she
cannot have gone out more than a couple times drinking.
You cannot turn a LovePeddler into a housewife. The more sexual partners she has had the more likely the marriage will end in divorce.
(But hazard are you saying all party girls, smokers and drinkers are Whores?Yes).
The fewer sexual partners your wife has had, the better. The ideal wife should be a virgin. Remember: The more sexual partners she has had the more likely you are to be divorced. If you think she needs help or that you are helping her and she is changing then you are being foolish and you are being played. It's going to end badly for you when you get married to a woman like this. Remember party girls are for fun, good girls for marriage.
Always pick a good girl. That means a virgin (or close), family oriented, pleasant, eager to help, a smiler, and patient.
7)SHE MUST RESPECT YOU
Women marry up and men marry down, since the dawn of marriage. If she looks down on you she will leave with your
money and your children for another man. You have got to be a man that she can look up to, admire, love and respect always.
coolSHE SHOULD NOT HAVE CHILDREN FROM ANOTHER MAN AKA SINGLE MOMS
In the animal kingdom when a Lion takes over a pride he kills the cubs of other Lions. Raising someone else's child is cuckoldry with your full knowledge and consent.
If you raise someone else's child you will be taking care of another man's seedling and there will always be another man in the picture. Be selfish and keep your wife and children to yourself. They should be yours and only yours. Don't settle for another man's leavings and sloppy seconds.
Here is what women with children do: They have unprotected sex with a alpha, get pregnant, and look for a Beta male to raise the bastard.
or..
She has already been married, had children, and then divorced the father and left. In each case the woman is unfit for marriage.
9)SHE SHOULD CHANGE HERSELF FOR YOU
When a woman is in love she will change herself to please and conform to you. Your favourite food will become her new favourite food and she will do things to please you she has never done or liked before.
A woman who doesn't change for you is a woman who does not respect you. Women are not men and should not be held to the standards of men. A man who changes his views on the whims of a woman is a sissy. A woman who changes her views on the whims of a man is a woman who is in love. She should not be degraded for that because that's what women do.
10)SHE SHOULD NOT BE MATERIALISTIC
Nigerian women this days have been indoctrinated since birth to believe in and embrace leeching. They have been
indoctrinated and instructed to believe that they are entitled to a man's money. This causes a great deal of confusion in their minds and, to put it plainly, many of them
are unfit for marriage and raising a family. Especially avoid women who all the thing they know about is money, money and money. If a woman cannot spend money wisely, then she don't deserve it. You should avoid women who have a lazy, entitled, “me-first” attitude.
11)SHE SHOULD BE A SMILER
She should smile when she sees you. Her eyes should light up. She should be excited each time she sees you and reward you with her beautiful smile.
A big, bright shining smile from a pretty girl is worth more than any university degree she has, worth more than any
job she has etc. You want a happy woman. You don't want a frowning, nagging, pessimistic bride. Always pick a smiling, warm, happy-go-lucky woman to share your life with.
12)SHE MUST GIVE YOU PEACE OF MIND
This is my favourite and most important law. "Even if you don't follow the rest of the law,you must follow this one".
I don't care how beautiful and elegant the woman is,if she can not give you peace of mind then I advise you to ditch her. She is not worth it.
A woman who gives her man peace of mind is like a radiant diamond that is outstanding among ten thousand others.
Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting but a woman who give her man peace of mind is worth more than gold.
CONCLUSION
If you have read this enlightenment thus far,you have demonstrated you are a person of high value and you want to improve your marital affairs. All I have to say is Congrats, cause this are the best rules you will ever see or get and they are well proven and tested. Getting married is a dangerous proposition – make sure you know how to swim before you dive in head-first.
If you are going to get married, do it the smart way.
If you aren't going to get married go ahead and have a beer.
Good luck and a happy new year.
This is an exact representation of what it takes to marry in this soiled, decadent world. Not many people would value this, but this is the bitter and abject truth. Not one of the points the op raised here can i fault even by a hair's breath. Not a single one. All terribly valid points.

It may look like girls who fit this bill are far and flung apart, but they exist, and a man, especially one that trusts God for a wife and has not had much philandering, has every right to a happy home, founded by a god wife. This is so key.

A million likes for this, op

Abujaexpress:
My fellow employers in the house, I crave your indulgences to be guided on this issue, thus:
I employed a lady as my secretary. She had worked for about 3 months before she failed to resume work on a particular day and all my phone calls to her were not answered by her. After a few days, a friend that brought and guaranteed her employment with my firm called me that the girl said I shouted at her and flinged a document towards her, as a result of which she left.

The following day, I called the girl, this time around she picked, albeit reluctantly and I told her that since she has refused to show up at work, she should return the office key which was with her. A few days later, I did not know when she sneaked into the complex and gave the key to my neighbour, which he delivered to me.

I subsequently called the girl and asked her if she does not want to work again, she simply said that she is attending to her health in her village. I did not hear from her since then untill the 2nd of the following month, December when she called me to request for transfer of her salary to her. I initially asked her to come to office to resign and handover officially for me to work out her salary, but I later allowed human feelings to take hold me and I calculated/substracted the numbers of days she did not work for that month and transferred the balance to her.

Immediately she called to thank me and she again called on new day to wish me a happy new year.

Then suddenly on the 3/01/2020, she sent me a message that she would pls want to talk with me. I agreed to listen to her. She called me to say if I have not employed another secretary, that she would want to resume and that if I will allow her to work with me again. I simply told her that I would look into it and get back to her. Am yet to give her field back.

The issue now is, considering the nature of her leaving work AWOL, and now calling to beg to come back, should I accept her back or I should her engage a different person (already I have some applications for the job on my table).

N. B. Kindly note that her brief stay in my office have exposed the girl as a dishonest fellow and her penchant for excuses from office citing sickness and flimsy excuses is very her.

I need advice please.
Did you actually fling a document at her?
Well, if you want a dishonest person who plays truant to work as a staff in this new year, you have the knife and the yam.

Christianity Etc › The Child Of God On The Top Echelon by poik(op): 10:15am On Jan 01, 2020
These days, people measure spirituality by how many visions and prophecies a child of God can deliver per second, the fluidity and charisma he exhibits when preaching the word of God, or how many of his dreams come true, or even how generous or churchgoing he is.

All of this is good, very good.

But i have come to realise one thing as taught me by God in my short stint in the christian race.

The more you keep the word of God and try to walk with Him in obedience and submission, the more jealous God gets over you.

This jealousy is not the fighting-your-enemies kind of jealousy, or determined protection like saving you from near-death experiences and the like, though they are part of the package.

The kind of jealousy i am referring to is the type of rage that fills you when your girlfriend or wife goes chatting indiscriminately with some man who really makes you feel insecure, because that is exactly what happens when we derail in sin.

You get punished on the spot.

There are Bible precedences for this point.

David thought it was just enough to kill Uriah and run to God for forgiveness. God forgave him, but killed the child, and made sure he lost four sons in succession. Apostle Paul thought that with his conversion, his slate of hate against the christians would be wiped away simply because he was in God's line of duty. God not only sent a brother to show him things he must suffer for his sake, he left him with partial blindness which he suffered all his life.

God is a god of consequence. Bible says hand joined in hand, no sinner wil go unpunished. If your wrongs are judged and purged on earth here, you are the child of God on the top of the chain. Because as for each sin, there is a repercussion, and how bad it will be if it will be waiting for some people in the hereafter.

As we strive as children of God on this pathway of right, let us do our best to minimize wilful wrongdoing in this new year.

Thoughts?

marriage is not about control. Money is what gives control. Stop misquoting me from your place of pain.

Also stop this 'poor me' 'boohoo' victim mentality, it is irritating and pathetic. You are the one emasculating yourself, by allowing yourself to be emasculated.

Most likely money was all you had to offer in the marriage and now that you have lost that, you are just like an appendix in your marriage. Existing without function, but capable of causing hell because no one cares about it anymore.

It is not about bringing more money but showing that you are a leader, and being her support. Give her a reason to trust you by showing initiative. Do you think women like to be bread winners? She is picking up your slack.Of course She will be pissed at you subconsciously.

Be proactive, anticipate needs in the marriage that you can provide and meet them without being told or nagged. Convince her that you are still necessary in your marriage. Get your head out of your asshole and be man.

This is the most candid advice you will get from me or on your thread
A woman who is not innately submissive will only hide it until there is oportunity to showcase it, no matter what you do. You are just defending what you think you know.

Saraki’s state. Hmm. Traditional and normal looking men and women. Adultery is rife in this state. The snitching component of most westerners can also be expected here. Islam swept a large swathe of the state, so you can expect the self-righteousness of islam to hold sway to some extent here. Some can be highly moral too, when they want to be.

Lagos

This state is a confluence of all kinds of characters. The men are in the bracket of what the ladies would tag ‘Yoruba demons’-terrible players and heartbreakers. They may be good looking and enterprising, but feed on female hearts. The women, all enlightened and educated for the most part, still find a way to fall for these blokes and yet come out to cry foul. Their women, once they get hoked on you, wil cater to your every need, but expect to get some slight touch of feminism here and there. This could be an aberration since most of the parents instilled colonial values on these ladies, but then you know the kind of acculturation to expect as long as social media and TV is in the picture.

Nassarawa

The men are traditional and regimental. Enlightenment plays very little role here. They know where a woman belongs and put her there. No compromise, no matter whose ox is gored. There is a fair mix of good looking and otherwise men in this state. The average Nassarawa man has a very deep heart, and you hardly know what to expect, especially if you offend him, even when you try to make amends. They can be diabolical too when push comes to shove.

Their ladies are average. Education among women is still making nascent inroads here, so the women can afford to remain where they are placed by their men. They are generally not so good looking with some few exceptions, and are very loyal to their men in marriage or in relationships.

Niger

This state that shares boundaries with the federal capital has average men dotting the landscape. Becauise of the Fulani population influxing the place you are likely to see tall, slender, Gwari-speaking blokes. It is also spiced up with some enlightenment made possible by academic experience, so you can have some cool-headed men here. This education has also impacted the women, whose accents are like music to your ears. The women also have fair damsels here and there, but the strong cord of conservative Islam still holds sway here and binds them well.

Ogun, Ondo, Osun

Education and enlightenment have made the men here high flyers and achievers in the fields they set their sights on. But then, they are hard core sycophants and bootlickers, who can do anything and go anywhere just for advantage. They are also world-class betrayers whom every person should be wary of either baring his life to or planning something sensitive with. This attribute also touches on the women, who can sell you short for a morsel of bread. Some of the men can be quite stingy, and the women as well. The cassanovaic tendencies are applicable in the men here, while the women have sparsely distributed mix of average looks and height. Because of the influence of education, expect the women to be entitled, feminist, independent, and possibly promiscous. Even the discipline which holds sway in some of them is not to a man’s advantage, as they would leverage on that to become stubborn, manipulative and daring, telling you how much of a trophy they are. But you can be fortunate to also get some loyal ones who would stick with you and be respectful regardless. But do not be fooled when she sounds prim and proper in her online posts and comments; get to know her up, close and personal.

Oyo

The home base of most players in Nigeria. All that was said about Yoruba men apply here too, but it was separated because together with all of these tendencies, it is coated in a huge cocoon of diabolism for both sexes. There is also some level of parochialism that goes with Oyo people, which can be either put to good traditional use or be a total deal-breaker. The men are average-looking, but their women are usually thick with flabby arms, and are hygenically deficient. Most of their women have the trademark paunch, and the fact that you have not seen it now does not mean it wont come out.
But there can be a few exceptions though, where you can get a nice man and a loyal woman who wont be promiscuous.

Plateau

This state on the table land boasts of very good-looking tall men and equally very beautiful ladies, and there is the perk of being highly intellectual. But whatever you do, never ask a Plateau lady to stop drinking; you are either breeding a pretender or moulding your worst enemy. The men are unrepentant booze addicts, and a popular jibe has it that the plateau youths were in a drunken stupor and before they knew it Fulanis had taken over their land and balkanized it. Besides that, a plateau girl who loves you, loves you, and is quite loyal. The men mostly fall prey to baby mama drama in their hey days, but are excellent fathers.

Rivers

The oil state!
By default, you should not be told what obtains where there is money, a water body, and very pretty ladies. Of course, sex in all its definitions and variations-prostitution, orgies, stripteases, pimping and all what not. Everything that is an enemy of marriage happens here-unfaithfulness, baby mama drama, fights, single parenthood, co-habiting partners, and as long as the list goes. In some cases, expect the average portharcourt lady to make passes at you, especially if you are good looking and have a deep pocket. The men, some of them good looking, just go with the flow and enjoy what comes their way heartily. Most households where there are young ladies have had at least one child outside wedlock.

Because the poverty rate is a little lower than in other states, you can expect gangsterism, cultism, and attendant crimes. Average Rivers man is a good social drinker, but easy going and nice, yet in most cases a heavy womanizer. The youths are indolent hand entitled, but there are few exceptions who go really far in academics and career. There could be some who graduate from drinking to get high on some stimulants and drugs. The women love their men too, are generous sex donators if you fit the bill or if they are into you regardless, and can be loyal in their marriages. But dont be too sure, because the moment an ex comes calling, you cannot be completely vouchful of her.

Zamfara, Sokoto

The baby of the north-west. Nascent and naive. Innocent islam works here, if you get my drift. Nice, loving men, except the immigrants from Niger and Chad who spoil their record. Loyal ladies. Pliable people.

Taraba, Yobe

Taraba has fearless men. Unknown to many this state contributed most of the men who fought the Biafran war in the 60s. They love drinking, and the women seemed to have taken cue from that as well. Most of the qualities that apply to benue men and women work here.

Yobe has qualities akin to the people from Borno.
Culture › Unveiling Nigerian Personalities By States Of The Federation by poik(op): 5:36pm On Dec 31, 2019
Yes. Its Boxing Day and i have time. Time for banters and all that comes with it.

I will be unveiling Nigeria’s states and the personalities associated with them. I will explore the people according to looks, characters and spirits associated with people from such states, ranging from their man to their women. So each time you meet someone from a particular state, you know what to expect.

But then, this is all bants. No state has completely good or bad people. The spirit of God does not discriminate along ethnic lines, and so, can touch anyone and disconnect him or her from heritages and bloodlines associated with his people in the flesh.

Without further ado, here we go:

Abia:

Hmm. God’s own state. The men are great lovers, nice, sociable, usually tall, with model-like looks(with the exception of the Ngwa people who are mostly four-footers or slightly above). The Ngwa people are mostly aggressive, and the stories of cannibalism traced to them in times past should really make one wary.
Their women are average in looks and character, go with the flow, and what you put in is what you get in terms of relationships.

Adamawa
The men here, mostly Christians, are okay, and can fall in any category-no special attribute to them. Most are five footers and above, with women who have some measurable inclination to the green bottle and its contents, same as the men. You are nice to them, they reciprocate. You give them the opposite, what you see, you get.

Akwa ibom

Akwaaba!
The men..hmm. Very hopeless romantics. Can spend their entire salary on a woman if it comes to that...they mostly claim to be beta males but when push comes to shove they are jellies within. Their women are ravenously beautiful, with well proportioned bodies, but with a slight gravitation towards promiscuity because of their murderous looks. But when you get one that is into you, she is in it for the long haul unless you mess up. The intellectuals among them tend towards feminism and the chauvinistic angles. Overall, nice people.

Anambra

The heart of the Igbo race. Very enterprising men. Women are trophies to them and they prefer to adorn their women to showcase their wealth. An average Anambra business mogul can have over 600 million in his account and not have a car. But when you look towards the wife, your antennae will come up. Their men are usualy heavily built, up to six footers in some cases with a good muscular body to go with it. Their ladies, because of the wealth that stinks around these men, are usually loyal and a proper representation of the title of ‘oriaku’ (spender of wealth). Usually ,fair, pretty damsels dot the Anambra landscape.

Bauchi
This state west of the north of Nigeria boasts of a fine array of men. The hometown of the Executive secretary of TETFUND, Proffessor Elias Bogoro. They can be nice when they want to be. Average looks. Loyal women. But their true character is known when they come into wealth and status. Do not be deceived with a poor Bauchi man’s show of humility. Some of them can be quite arrogant.

Bayelsa

This Sani Abacha brainchild boasts of the darkest set of Nigerians alive. While Ben Murray Bruce seems to negate that statement, do not forget he is a mullato with western blood in him. Their men drink to a fault, and so do the women. Because of proximity to water and the infleunce of mermaid spirits, sex is carefree and commonplace, and we all know what that translates to. Of course, the men and women are unbelievable swimmers. The men are not good looking but can be extreme hunks, with good height and build to complement. They can have smooth skin owing to abundance of sea food. Same goes for the women.

Benue

The food basket of the nation. As such, expect to see healthy looking men and women. There are few exceptions of extraordinary height like in the case of award winning crooner, Tuface idibia, else, they are mostly average in height. Of course, when you are full, there will be plenty of time and energy for pastimes like sex, disproportionate drinking, gambling, and womanizing. Some Benue men can be highly irresponsible. Their women are just there, ready to roll if you are. Can be good home keepers, but expect some itchy tongue for alcohol too.

Borno

There is an unbalanced mix of christianity and islam in this state in the far north. Expect a huge dose of nepotism around the men, who would go to any length to favour their own. The shuwa Arab girls are usually a sight for sore eyes, with long tapering hair and arab-like beauty. But never let that fool you- she can kill you if you offend her-literally stab you in your sleep if it gets to that. The men can be tall and slender, with deep hearts too.

Cross River

Everything stated about Akwa ibom men and women are applicable here. Terribly beautiful ladies and weak-hearted men. Any ugly calabar girl you see has no money. Touch her up and watch her take on that glow. Its a trade mark.

Delta

This baby of the late Maryam Babangida is a fine mix of all of the characters you want to see. Most of the characters here are developed based on personal decision and principle. The men can be either extremely good looking, or shamefully unsightly. The women are also not that very good looking, save for some exceptional cases. One thing they have going for them is their fighting spirit and doggedness-which is arguably the reason they gave Nigeria a good dose of contribution in terms of sportsmen and women. Their women can be extremely hardworking, managing stress beautifully. The legendary midfielder Sunday Oliseh hails from there. Agression and some cultism holds sway among Delta youths, and their ladies can be very manipulative, with the slightest of things, and will have their way most of the time. The educated men among them are high flyers, like Pat Utomi, chairman of Lagos Business School.

Ebonyi

Created in 1996, this state is the lastborn of the southeast. There is some form of inferiority complex that sorrounds the men from this state, and they want to exploit every opportunity to assert themselves. The men are usually voracious eaters and it shows in their physique-muscles all the way and a good height to go with it. Education and civilization has given their women a voice too, and i am yet to see a slender Ebonyi lady. Their ladies are usually traditional and conventional, stckler for rules of engagement in every ocassion. Average loooking ladies.

Edo

I love this state. A very good childhood friend of mine hails from this state and i can speak with some authority here. You do anyhow, you see anyhow. Average Edo nigga is fearless, bares his mind as it is, enterprising, can be loving when he loves you, and sacrificial. They go to any length for people they believe in. They can also be terribly generous. But, you do not want to hurt an Edo man. If he can, he will get his pound of flesh, but only as long as the anger lasts. If he cuts you off, that is it. You can beg but it wont be the same anymore even if he lets go.

Their women are mamacitas. I am yet to see an Edo lady you won’t look at twice. But then, their mouth is a leaking tap only the Holy Ghost can seal. With a tested and trusted PhD in insulting and insulting technology, you do not want to get in the line of fire of an Edo lady’s mouth-same as the men. The ladies are fearless, enterprising, risk takers, good home keepers when they want to be, and hopeless lovers when you treat them right. Expect some diabolism also, but contrary to public perception, it is done out of passion and not necessarily wickedness.

Ekiti
The contemporary of Ebonyi state in the southwest, if you are not an above-par person intellectually, you may find it hard rolling with people from this state. Their women are unrepentant sapiosexuals, and so are the men, except the ones that are not so lettered. Expect some touch of feminist inclinations from their ladies-it comes with hyper-enlightenment. Usual Yoruba looks- on the heavier side, round faces and some little paunch to go with it. The men are average looking with a few exceptions.

Enugu

This state up in the hills has very appealing sights as it applies to the female gender. Nice, homely, impressionable sisters, with majority of their ladies above the regular five foot seven mark. The men are hunks, and hustlers as well. Pride in looking after their families, while having a good time too. The Nkanu men are stubborn and can be diabolic in its most evil definitions. Another business hub of Nigeria, with titled men landscaping the territory.

Gombe

Normal looking people. What you put in is what you get, for both genders. Pliable people.

Imo
Woow. This baby of Sam Mbakwe is home to the finest set of handsome, lettered and intellectual gentlemen in the entire country. An Imo dude is the entire package. Brains, brawn, and style. The Mbaise people are the craftiest set of humans south of the Niger. The men for the most part are not your regular six footers, but you can have their facial constructions for dinner. Incredibly handsome blokes who can separate a world war. Highly lettered and enterprising, they love schooling and will go to any length for it.

Their women are the toast of wifehood anywhere in the world. Heavily faithful and excellent homekeepers, most tribes waste no time to put a ring on an Imo lady. This would make a case for the tales of exhorbitant bride prices that waft from that axis, coupled with irresistible brains (both academic and street) and looks that adorn the average Imo girl. Genevieve Nnaji, screen goddess, is just a microcosm of what this state has to offer.

Jigawa

Core of the north, everything you know about northening applies here. Fine slender and tall males, equally gorgeous ladies, fastened by Islamic tenets. Shamefaced ladies in the open, but tigers and distance-goers behind closed doors. Loyal men who love their wives. Equally loyal women on the average.

Kaduna
Kaduna means crocodile. The tenaciousness of a crocodile with its prey may have rubbed off on these people. The men are stubborn, egoistic, and mostly militant whether in the physical or intellectual sense, but love deeply when they do. Their ladies are increasingly becoming enlightened and taking up important positions in the society-usually intelligent ladies, yet it does not subtract the militancy from them. Average Kaduna lady wastes no time in baring her mind to you. There is some touch of alcoholism among them. There is a fair mix of tall and short men, average looking ladies with tendency of becoming fat in the future.

Kano

The Jigawa story applies here. The kano population ius mostly influxed by people from niger republic who are Moslems, so there may be some inaccuracy in predicting them. The average Kano man is peace loving, indulges in his trade and minds his business. Loyal ladies, mostly Fulanis immigrating into the state.

Katsina

Dont expect a Katsina man to forgive you easily. Can be aggressive as well. Loyal women. Mostly influxed by Chadians and nigerians

Kebbi

Not much is known, but the usual northern heritage applies here

Kogi

The main tribes here are the Igalas, the Ebiras and the Okuns, a Yoruba variant in the state. The Igalas are the proudest set of humans i have ever met, with a bloated sense of ego which is usually unrealistic. They can be highly diabolical and in a very mean sense of it. Their women are okay, generally average looking, but they would make you understand they are doing you a favour rolling with you. Not very lettered in the real sense of the word, but when an Igala lady likes you, just leave the home to her. Usually faithful and good home keepers. An average kogi man likes to be in control, and to be noticed. Some go to extra lengths to garner attention.

The Ebira men have very short fuses and can switch from a smile to delivering a backhand slap like the acceleration of a Ferrari. The same goes for their women. Acute diabolism, gangsterism, and indolence for the most part. They are hardly lettered. Their women are staunch and trouble makers wherever they go. But make no mistake-they can have very good hearts, and can be kind to a fault. Trample on that kindness and see their other side.

The Okun people are the most untrustworthy set of homosapiens on the face of the earth in my purview. Never go into a sensitive agreement with them, or else, you will have yourself to blame. They are terrible snitches and can give you away at the slightest loophole of advantage.

On the average, they have a good sprinkle of handsome men, and eye-soothing women among the not-so-good looking ones.
Romance › Re: Do Not Judge Her By Her Past. by poik(m): 3:01pm On Dec 31, 2019
lavylilly:
DEAR MEN!!!!

Every woman has a past. Some were physically abused. Some had violent parents. Some had pubertal issues. Some had sexual abuse as a child from their own family members. Some had messed up love stories.

Some had been forced into sex in the name of love. Some had been drugged. Some were date raped. Some had been viciously photographed on bed. Some had been blackmailed by their ex-boyfriend.

Some were in an abusive relationship. Some had menstrual problems. Some had a broken family. Some had a divorce. Some had an obesity issue. Some had financial droughts. Some had drug or alcohol addiction. Some had a few unsuccessful suicide attempts.

If you see a woman, who went through any of these but had already wiped her tears, tied her hair up, masked her sorrows with a divine smile, stood tall and strong, started walking towards her future because she still has some hope left inside her and has not given up on the concept of love that still exists in this world, do not stab her with her past.

Do not confront her. Do not slap her with more abuse. Give way for her and walk beside her. May be hold her hands and walk for a while. You'll know how sweet that soul is and how strong her hopes are! You'll be amazed at how she carries herself after all her energy has been sucked out.

She need not always be only the woman next door or from a different home. She could be your own friend, your own sister, your own girlfriend, your own wife, even may be your own mother.

Do not judge her by her past. Gift her the peaceful future that she deserves. Hold her hands against the world, which knows only to judge. Give her the love that she always yearned for..
My problem with this is the convenience with which most ladies brandish this line to justify the philandering ways which characterized them and which repercussions are staring them hard in the face. Granted a girl can go through some of these, but it has become too hackneyed to be worth any consideration.

Victorian, see even if all what you said are true, i want to raise an awareness to you now that most nigerians fail to see or acknowledge.
Making it, Financial race or hustling even though requires putting a lot of efforts and energy, it doesn't guarantee success or good outcome.
If you want to see it clearly, let's look at the educational sector, probably it will be clearer to you.
It will be of no use if you/we all keep talking down or rubbishing poor students and regularly telling them to go and Study hard so as to get good grades (make money).
No matter how hard you study or read, person wey dey dull dey dull and there is Nothing you can do about it - As a matter of fact, a large percentage of students/class will be in the lower class, fail, advised to withdraw than upper class and distinction.
It is a Natural Law beyond us.
Of course, once a while you will see people motivated who will spring from pass to upper class or distinction but it won't be much.No matter the books the poor students buy, it won't make them brilliant.
Life is not easy and even though it is easy for us, pls don't let us look it from our view to judge others.
Even if everybody is been given 20m each, what do you think will happen? Hyper inflation and the money will become useless because large amount of money chasing few things and everything will fall back to ground zero.
Pls let's be guided
For me all about balance.

The nigga who is dull should go so setting that puts him where he should be as a man. School no be for everybody.

Again, if a girl likes you truly, all this talk about financial security may feature, but it won't fundamentally define the relationship. I'm talking even NOW.
There are ladies that do not care how much you have. They exist, though they may be in the minority.

I am not going to create another moniker for this,i owe no one nothing!

I have spent most of my life single. I tried linking up with people but to no avail. Why? I will not do the blame game here. Is all my fault. I meet someone, get heed over heels for the person but I lose interest easily. When it comes to commitment, when the friendship is to get to the next level I ghost them. I don't know why. At best out of the blue I lose interest and become blank, not returning calls or replying messages, at worst I become disgusted at the fellow for no reason at all then move one to the next male friend. Nothing serious comes out of it...

So I decided to give up trying. My female friends and I go on an outing, some guys approach us and get our numbers. Months (sometimes years) later they are still waxing strong with the males, one of them even got married to one of them. But me? After a couple of weeks I find myself having to ghost the guy that I was head over heels for.

I gave up on love and chose to be single. I have been single for years now.

I met this guy march this year,we bonded like never before. I have never in my entire life felt like this before. It is so strange that each conversation we have all seems anew like we are starting all over.

It's almost ten months and the fire is still intense.
I have never had such a long friendship with a male. People assume we are dating. He gives me so much JOY... He is so awesome, different from all the others i have known. He changed me.

I just figured out i want to end the friendship, I don't know why. I am tired. I want to walk away. The passion is still there but i want to be away. I wanted to get a new SIM but my conscience will not. What has kept me from doing this is because i wonder how he will feel..

I want to walk away. Will i regret this?
Better seek spiritual help. While you can.

JustMe407:
Dear nairalanders, I need you honest advice on what to do. I am still a young man and any mistake now will have a grave effect on my future. So please, help a brother.

Be objective and consise please. It is a long narrative.

I have a girlfriend whom I have been dating for up to 10 months now. She has all the qualities of wife, friend and a partner. I mean, she prays for me, supports me and do many things that places her above average.

I've two issues that are bugging me;

First is, I just graduated from the University and started to follow the road map I designed for my life. I am hardworking, so I started doing business immediately after my defense. Interstate exports of perishables. While I was in school, I made a lot of money doing designs for students; I am a UI/UX designer. The problem here is that I can't account for all those monies I made. A lot of expenses especially for my girlfriend. Even till now, I am supposed to send her some money but will I continue like this? I need stability in my business and need to save more and need capital for the last mile logistics company I want to set up next year.

Second issue is; I recently returned from an event I attended in Lagos some days ago, I came back very late and was grossly tired. While we were chatting, she asked me some questions which I told her I was very tired and eventually, I slept off. My phone beside me till the next morning. Fast forward to yesterday, I told her of my intentions to concentrate more in building for the future - it doesn't mean our relationship would be off. She started asking questions like "do you need some space?" "Am I bugging you?" She also said I don't "speak her language enough" language here is bonding, intimacy and closure. I was surprised at her response.

I noticed she'd be online for a long time and won't reply me on time, so I asked her who she was chatting with and she replied someone. I ignored her. This morning she called, while we got talking I asked her about the person she was chatting with. She told me the guys name. And asked if I will forgive her of anything, I said yes. She now said, she was introduced to the guy and they got flirting from the day I came back from my journey and told her I was tired and needed to rest. Her excuse was that, I pushed her to and she just wanted someone to speak/talk to.

Now, my question is, Should I move on with my business and focus, or, should I continue with the relationship? I don't want to be with someone that gives up on me easily.

P.S I love her so much. And she does too. We've through a lot together.

Please moderators, help move this to front page for more contributions.
In clear terms, let her know how hurt you are byher threatening you with giving you space. I'm guessing there's some tiny weeny chance she did that to validate herself in the relationship, and to kind of put you on ya toes.

If she was some rich brat who has known opulence all her life, I can relate with her sayingthat 20k is a poor man' s salary. But for a girl with such background as you narrated, there is a problem. Like i said, its possible she could have not meant it with the seriousness you are taking it. Open your eyes for signs and signals when discussing with her, and discern properly.

That being said, let your focus be in building that brand. Marrying is okay early, but when its not with someone who will give you peace, its not worth it.

Above all, tender it to God.
