My guy.
Better dust off this relative mentality. We have in one way killed, cheated, really?

Yes, Bible says we have all sinned. That is referring to our origin as offspring of fallen parents, not for you to steal and kill and cheat just because you can, and try to justify it.

But if you want to continue, you would not say you didn't know. Karma exists

My guy. you try but your points are totally off target.
There are good people that lose children, there are good people that their children end up being bad. there are good people who can't have a good night's rest because of bills to pay and hunger. there are good people who have secret health challenges. there are good people who have to look over their shoulders due to their being target just because they're good like a good person who reports cultists to the authorities would need to keep his concentration up. There are good people with no peace of mind

Your point is basically confirmation bias. If a good person is facing health challenges you ignore that but if a corrupt one is facing same you chalk it down to their corruption

If a good person has a bad child you ignore it but if a politician were in the same shoes it's because he is corrupt

If a good person's kid dies you pretend it never happened but if it were a corrupt politician's kid you say it's proof corruption doesn't pay

this is the kind of thinking that's holding Nigeria back.
A good person has a bad child. Don't conclude that person was good until you go deep enough to find out how GOOD that person was in his childhood and youth. I know of a pastor whose son swindled him that he was in school for years meanwhile he squanderd all the fees on riotous living. The question is what did the guy do to his own parents. These things dont just happen. Because you are born again does not negate consequence. Now if you are close to that very boy in his latter years and his son does the same thing, you will call him good. I am not that shallow in my considerations.

I am not still ruling out the fact that an innocent person can go through hard times. There are cases wherein God just wants to prove a point, like that of Job, and we know how it ended.

My guy.

Let us not lose sight of the initial question.
Again, before you say there are good people who suffer, be entirely sure you know the whole story, and not just what you were told. I can also align with you that there are few people who suffer unjustly. A lot of forces are at work in this world. A son can suffer for the evil the father committed. If you read my post I said it is possible for one not to be able to connect consequence with action.

The fact that some good people suffer unjustly does not mean there isn't Karma. Retribution is a natural law.

babyfaceafrica:
People who perform good deeds are certainly rewarded with the good feelings that come from doing good deeds. They are also likely to be esteemed and supported by the community.

On the other side of the coin is the adage crime doesn't pay . Criminals are often caught and prosecuted. Even those who aren't caught may be forced into hiding or may suffer from a "guilty conscience."
However, those are generalizations. In the political arena, crimes pays big time. Corrupt politicians can exploit and even murder millions of people and never spend a day in jail. They can become millionaires. Just about any U.S. President could be used as an example.
Ditto for CEO's, like Bill Gates. The same applies to the media and contemporary labor unions.

So one can be variously punished or rewarded for bad deeds. In general, I think it's safe to say that those who profit from crime tend to be more powerful and are generally associated with "organized crime," which can include governments.

Good deeds are probably more likely to pay dividends, even if they aren't monetary. However, they can be punished - especially in the political arena.

For example, activists who fight for social justice are typically insulted, harassed and even murdered.

On a bit of a tangent, I find it interesting that evil seems to ordinarily prevail over good, at least at the higher levels of the political system. Think about the Roman Empire, the European colonial empires and the United States. There are amazingly few stories about "good leaders."

One of the political/psychological questions I've long pursued is why it's so hard for good to triumph over evil. Ironically, one of the problems may be the victims, who are often too "good" to fight back.

does karma work?
My answer is a resounding YES.

Almost every religion of the world believes in a form of retribution or the other. Karma is of Hindu origin, i think, other religions have other names for it.
Bible says God is not mocked, what a man sows, he will reap.
Hand joined in hand, no sinner will go unpunished.
There is absolute repercussion for each and every evil committed. the size and timing may vary. what is more painful is that one may not even be able to connect it to when and where it happened.
David killed Uriah, he lost four sons. He counted Israel, a great famine fell upon Israel. Saul disobeyed God, the kingdom was wrested from him.

Dont be deceived by the sleaze of these politicians that ride on the backs of stolen wealth to get flashy cars and oppress people. How many sons has El-Rufai lost as at the last count?
How many of their children turn out useful, commensurate with the billions spent on them?
How many of them get a good night's bed rest at home, devoid of women and cocaine sedation?
Do you know the health challenges they are servicing secretly?
If you understand what it means to keep looking over your shoulder the rest of your life, startled by every sound because of the people you have offended, you will know that no house or car or luxury life is worth your peace of mind.
Christianity Etc › Re: The Trinity Doctrine Is a False doctrine and it is Unbiblical. by poik(m): 11:45pm On Oct 20, 2019
blueAgent:
The trinity doctrine teaches that God the Father, the Son and the Holyspirit are equal and one and the same God.
Although a very popular and widely accepted doctrine among christains the trinity doctrine is unbiblical and not in accordance with the word of God. The word Trinity does not appear in the Bible neither was such doctrine taught by the Apostles or known to the early Christains.
The trinity doctrine was instituted by men at the Council of Nicaea in AD325 and at Council of Constantinople in AD381.
The trinity doctrine has it's origin in pagan Sun god worship that was started by Nimrod and his wife.

Who is God and Jesus?
The Bible is clear on the identity of God and his Son, Jesus they are 2 different beings or persons
Although one in unity and purpose, their relationship is that of father and Son.
The Apostles always identified God as the father who has neither beginning or end ,who alone has immortality, all power and authority  they also identified and distinguished  Jesus as the only begotten Son of God  and not God the Father himself here is an  example.
2John1:3  Grace be with you, mercy and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
The identity of Jesus was well known to the discples of Jesus
Peter  in Matt 16:16,Martha the sister of  Lazarus, the  Centurion man,the high priest and many others  including the   Demons all identified Jesus as the son of God (remember Demons are fallen Angels)matthew8:29.
It is important that we understand who Jesus is, as  Jesus himself was interested in knowing whom people said he was. Luke 9:18

All through the Bible the personality of God and Jesus has been established and clearly stated.
It will be illogical for Jesus while he was on Earth to teach that he was sent by his father if  he himself was the father.
The question is who sent Jesus?
who did Jesus pray to when he was on the cross or when he raised Lazarus from the grave?Who was Jesus pleading to  to take away the cup? John 12:27
Whose will was Jesus referring to when he said father not my will but yours, mark 14:36
The evidence shows that Jesus was not the Father acting as the Son here on Earth but was the Son of God sent by God to the Earth to die as a ransom for man,John 6:38

Jesus, Son of God

The trinity doctrine teaches a 3in 1 god, that there are 3 but equal gods.
It denies the word of God that says Jesus is the BEGOTTEN Son of God. the same way a biological father proceeds his son so also God the Father proceeds his son, Jesus  Christ.
The Bible refers to Jesus as the first born of all creations Colossians 1:15,proverbs 8:22-end,Rev 3:14.
Jesus was brought into existence  at a certain time by his father before the World was created. Acts 13:33, God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.

John5:26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; so it was God that gave Jesus life and not Jesus having his own life independently as claimed by trinitarians.
here are Jesus own words on his origin and existence.
Proverbs 8:22.
Unlike the Angels and other created beings who were made by the hand of  God, Jesus proceeded or came out  from his father John 8:42,16:27&28,17:8
He had the very nature , image and substance of his father, God. which no other created being has. Hebrews 1:4 Being MADE so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
Hebrews 1:5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?  1:6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

Note: Angels are sons of God by creation, born again Christains are sons of God by adoption (Romans 8:14-15) but Jesus Christ is the Son of God by inheritance Heb 1:4,

Are they Equal?

The trinity teaches that Jesus and the Holyspirit are co-equal with God but the Bible is abundantly clear that the son is not Co-equal with God.
No where in the Bible did Jesus  ever call himself God or equate himself to the father rather he reiterated the fact that he was sent by the father to do the will of the father and that the one who sends another is greater than the one sent.John13:16-20.
John 17:13, Matthew 10:40,John 10:18.
Rather than claim equality with God as fasely  taught by the trinity doctrine Jesus declares that his father is greater than him in John 14:28,he also calls his father his God Matt 27:46,John 20:17, here are some other verses to clearify this point
1Corinthains11:3,Colossians 1:14-19,John 5:19-47,John 5:19 & 5:20,John 5:27, Isaiah 53:11,Isaiah 42:1,Isaiah 49:7 Luke 24:19,
Philippians 2:5
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 2:6 Who, being in the form of God(nature of God, of cos he was born by God so he will bear God's nature), thought it not robbery to be equal with God:  2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men :2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name.

God Honours his Son.

After the ressurection and Ascension of Jesus to Heaven  God exalted Jesus and gave him a name above every other name Philippians 2:9.
It will be illogical for God to exalts and give power and authority to Jesus if he was co- equal with God and already had those privileges.Ephesians 1:20-23, Mark 12:36.
The Bible also teaches that at the end of the great controversy between good and evil when all power and principalities have been subdued for the sake of Jesus. Than Jesus will subject all things including himself to God 1Corinthians 15:28.

Who is the Holyspirit.

The Holyspirit is not a person or being as taught by the trinitarians but the the Holyspirit is the spirit of God and his Son Jesus, Ephesians 4:30, 1Thessalonians 4:8,God is a spirit who has a spirit which is his  mind, will, purpose, power,  and presence Genesis 1:2, Zachariah 4:6, 1peter 1:1.
It is this spirit  that God sends to us that dwells in us and enables us to do his will,Romans 8:9&11, 1john4:13, Isaiah 63:11, 1Corinthains 3:16, 1 Corinthians 12:8-11,John 7:39,14:17, Ezeikel 36:27.
Just as we showed earlier that Jesus did nothing of his own will or desire but that of his father so also the Holy spirit can only speak and show what it is instructed to say . This is evidence that it is not a being Co-equal with God that has it's own power and will.
There are few verses  that have been taken out of context and are used by  the trinitarians to promote their false doctrines
E.g is that the Bible refers to the Holy spirit as HE this does not prove  anything because  there are examples in the Bible where non- living things are personified or expressed with words like he or his examples are in proverbs 1:20,7:4,8:1,9:1where wisdom and knowledge are reffered to as he,his, she this also applies to the Holy spirit.
The Holy Spirit is likened  to a gift
In Luke 11:13,God pours out his Holy spirit Acts 2:18.
The identity and function of the Holy Spirit will be treated in subsequent articles.

Implications of the Trinity doctrine.

This doctrine has severe implications and consequences as it teaches that Jesus is not the literal Son of God,that Jesus is the same age as the father and has always existed along side him but this will make them twins and not a real  Father and Son it also teaches that the holyspirit is a being  Co-equal and  co-eternal making them triplets.

Thus the trinity doctrine denies that both the father and son are two different persons thus it denies their personality or persons.

Apostle Paul taught Christains that the Antichrist is anyone or teaching that denies Jesus is the son of God and thus denies the father and son  1John2:22-23,1john 4:3
It distorts who God says he is.
The doctrine of trinity also lends credance  or promotes the Catholic teaching that Mary is the mother of God  since it claims Jesus is   God and Co-equal to God. It is not surprising that this trinity doctrine was instituted by the usual suspects the Catholic Church and they claim it is the foundation on which all other of there teachings is based on.

Note:The angel that delivered the message  to Virgin  Mary  told her that the  child will be called( the Son of God) and not God. Nothing stops God from describing Jesus as God or his twin or avatar, rather he  used the adjective SON of God to distinguish him from the Father.

Conclusion.
The trinity doctrine cannot be proved in the Bible neither does it have any divine origin or inspiration.
It is one of those man made doctrines that have crept into Christaintity. it is unacceptable to God and contracdicts God's word about himself.
A lot of lies have been sold to us as Bible doctrines which are not Biblical, I urge the readers to do more research on this topic and to diligently search the word of God  2 Timothy 2:15, just like Paul said that we should prove all things through the scripture, rightfully dividing the word of God and not depending on men or some few Bible verses that have been lifted out of context inorder to suit a preconcieved  belief or idea.1Thessalonians 5:21

Thank you.

Jehovah of the Old Testament is the Jesus Christ of the new testament. Simple. One and same person, but with different offices. Trinity came from Rome, after their large pantheon of gods they worshipped, and brought it to Christianity. No Jew accepts this Trinity hogwash, anywhere in the world.

Christianity Etc › Re: Do Catholics Worship Mary? by poik(m): 11:38pm On Oct 20, 2019
LoveyouLord:
NO.

The Bible tells us to worship God alone, as Catholics do [Catholics do not worship Mary]Catholics honor her, just as she was honored by the Father, Jesus, Gabriel, Elizabeth,John the Baptist, John the Apostle, and all generations.
.
God honored her by choosing her to be the mother of the second person of the Trinity: Jesus Christ. (Lk1:30-32).
.
The angel Gabriel honored her when he greeted her “Hail, full of grace.” (Lk 1:28).
.
Jesus honored her at the wedding in Cana. He stated that he was not ready to perform His first miracle “My time has not yet come” (Jn 1:4), but He honored Mary’s request when she told the waiters “Do whatever he tells you.” (Vs 5).
.
Jesus also honored Mary when he made sure she was being cared for after His death (Jn 19:26-27), by putting
her in the care of the Beloved Disciple (and all of us), for she is her only son.
.
Elizabeth honored Mary when she exclaimed “Most blessed are you among women” (Lk 1:42),and called her “the mother of my Lord.” (Lk 1:43). We know that Elizabeth’s Lord was God (Lk 1:45).
.
John the Baptist honored Mary when at the sound of Mary’s greeting he leapt in his mothers womb (Lk 1:44).
.
Mary herself tells us that she will be honored by all generations when she says “behold, from now on all
generations will call me blessed”. That is something Catholics have been doing for 2000 years. Protestants like
to act like this verse never existed.

What else can we learn from the Bible about Mary?
.
1) That she is the Mother of God. The Gospels tell us that she is the mother of Jesus (not debatable).
The Bible also tells us that Jesus is God (Jn 1:1; 1;18; 8:58-59; Jn 19:30-33; Coll 1:19; 2:9; etc).
.
Elizabeth even says that Mary is the mother of her “Lord” (Lk 1:42), then indicates that her Lord is God (Lk 1:45).

If Jesus is God, and Mary is the mother of Jesus, then Christians are rightly to call her the “Mother of God”, as they have been doing for 2000 years.

2)The Scriptures tell us Mary was sinless: Hail full of grace.” (Lk 1:28). The original Greek word here for “full of
grace” is “kecharitomene”. the perfect passive participle “charis”, grace. In Greek, the perfect stem denotes a completed action with a permanent result. Kecharitomene means completely, perfectly, enduringly endowed with grace.

3) The scriptures tell us that Mary is a queen. Jesus is the king (Lk 1:32-33. No more verses need to establish this fact). Mary is the mother of the king (Lk 1:33).

According to the Old Testament the mother of the King was the Queen the “gebirah”, or “Queen Mother”(2 Kgs 24:15; Jer 13:28; 1 Kgs 2:19). So Mary, being mother of the King was automatically the Queen...a queen can obtain favour from a king, so Mary can obtain favour from God for us her children.

We also see her portrayed with a crown of 12 stars in Rev 12.
We know that she is in heaven (Rev chapter 12) As we have seen, the Bible tells us a lot about Mary. As you can see, all the Catholic beliefs about Mary are based on the Bible, and none of them contradict the Bible. Yes, Catholics seem to devote a lot of time to Mary, but we must remember, Jesus spent ten times more of His life with Mary than He spent with the apostles.

Just Love God.
For starters, if Mary, a mortal human being, is God's mother, then she must be older than God.
What an insult!
A God who is called the ancient of Days?
Simple logic sometimes knocks off what some people call religion. the most painful part is that some professors and learned men are subjected to this tomfoolery of worshipping a woman who is crying in heaven in sorrow at the way people are deifying her!

Catholicism, in the face of the Bible, is 'Christianized' idol worship, without any root whatsoever in Scriptural teachings. When they quote Scripture, it is usually twisted to suit deceitful ends and means.
Look up the Queen of Heaven in the book of Jeremiah and see the context in which that name was mentioned. Pure Babylonian idolatry!

It has been argued on some quaters, that,if God, truly mean love and forgiveness for one another, that He should have, first, forgiven Satan,as a precedents for others?a question for all religious experts.
Lol.

If it is a Bible question, it will have a Bible answer.

I used to ask my self this question in the past as well.

Thing is, the Bible said that God created all things for His pleasure. The creation of Satan and all of the heavenly hosts was for His pleasure. Remember God has neither beginning nor end.
Now, if the God i am serving does not know tomorrow, nothing makes Him superior to mortal man. It means we are at the same level. But God forbid that. God knows the end from the beginning, to the last dot.
As such, every action from the first creation to he last creation has been foreknown. No decision man makes will shock God.
In essence, God knew Satan would rebel, and actually he was slated to rebel, so that he could be thrown down, so that he would trouble man, so that God can then appear to save man and take the glory. Its all planned out from the beginning.

Satan, in Gods plan and pleasure, has been judged;his fate is sealed. If God forgives Satan, Gods plan is distorted. the whole activity happening right now is like a movie scripted and directed by God Himself. He just holds the remote control and is watching, enjoying Himself.

So, God cannot forgive Satan. And no, it does not make Him wicked or unjust.
You cannot be a healer until there is sickness to heal. You cannot be a provider until there is lack. You cannot save until something is lost.
So, it cannot be any other way.
Lets just keep trusting God and praying to Him. His duty is to prove Himself in our ives in His good time and pleasure.

Even Apostle Paul have repented of his sin yet he still struggle with works of the flesh! Roman 7:21-25

My friend, the only person who could cultivate all those nine qualities is Jesus (God's only begotten son) who is perfect. The only way that could be noticed amongst humans is a thorough examination of the congregation where the perfect teacher (Jesus) is leading them!

If you try to examine each and every member of the Christian congregation, you'll never find one single individual who has all those nine qualities.
But as a BODY they will bear all those qualities as a group, that's what the OP is saying! John 17:20-23 wink
Matthew 5:48- Be ye perfect, as your Father in heaven is perfect.
You cant just sit in one corner and say you wont find one person who is perfect. Why do you think the rapture will be for a select few?
God knows them that are His. If perfection were not possible, the Bible wouldnt have said that.

Can you just go back, carefully read, thoroughly meditated and fervently pray over Jesus' statement here? @Matthew 7:15-20

There Jesus analysed some vital points!

(1) False prophets who appear to ordinary eyes like sheep (harmless ministers of the Prince of Peace) but inwardly they are ravenous wolves (crooked devourers)! Verse 15

(2)By their FRUIT (visible effects of their ministry on those following them) you will recognise them, people don't gather grapes (useful fruits) from thorns (worthless plants) nor figs (useful fruits) from thistles (worthless plants), do they? Verse 16

(3)Good trees bears good fruits while rotten trees bears worthless fruits! Verse 17

(4) A good tree cannot bear worthless fruit, neither can a rotten tree bears good fruits! Verse 18

(5) Humans like you and i will always cut down any tree that's not producing good fruits and use it as firewood! Verse 19

(6) By their FRUIT (their influence on those following them) you will recognise them (if they're for Jesus or not) Verse 20

Please according to Jesus' own words, any form of teaching that's not yielding those good qualities you yourself agreed with up there, are such teachings worthy to be sustained?

Well i'll rather agreed that such teachings aren't founded on the solid rock called Jesus, because if they are Jesus' teachings they should bear fine fruit since Jesus is the best counselor ever on this planet! Isaiah 9:6

God Bles you!
Fruits as represented there are the results and qualities expected from a repented soul. It is enumerated in Galatians 5.

While sometimes people can be under a good teaching and not bear the expected fruit, my focus is on the teaching and doctrine.

TemmyT002:
Taking Nigeria as a case study, if you are not a Jehovah’s Witness, you must have heard from some pastors or some other Christians like you about how the Jehovah’s Witnesses teach the wrong gospel. You must have heard them say that they use the wrong Bible. They must have told you to kick them out of your house or never let them in. They might have even told you that listening to them could lead you to Hell Fire.

My view about them changed when I related with one of them during an external tutorial class. There was a single guy among the rest in a mixed class of Christians and Muslims. This guy was the only Jehovah’s Witness. We all had a lot of fun bullying him. We made jest of his bag and made jest of the fact that he was a Jehovah’s Witness.

Despite all these bullying, he never retaliated. We were still kids back then and our knowledge of the Bible was what we were taught in our different churches. We argued over some verses in the bible and the guy took pains to explain some topics based on what he had been taught. We all shut him down, of course.

Years later, I had the opportunity to visit one of their Kingdom Halls. I had read a lot of their FREE publications and I wanted to see what they did there. I was wowed. I have been to many other churches but this Kingdom Hall was different.

The surprising part was that after the service, I met this guy again and he was so happy to see me. I was surprised. I thought he would make jest of me and ask why I was there. Instead, he and the other people there showed me love.

How are the Jehovah’s Witnesses better Christians than the rest of us?

1. THEY FACE MORE PERSECUTIONS

The Bible says “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven”- Matthew 5:10

John 15:18- “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.”

2 Timothy 3:12 – “Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man.”

You will agree with me that Christians in Nigeria also get persecuted but the persecutions occur mostly in the Northern part of Nigeria. Jehovah’s Witnesses, however, are many all over the world and they are persecuted more than all other Christians of different denominations. The recent one occurred in Russia.

The Southwestern part of Nigeria, which is full of the Yorubas is considered to be full of people who are tolerant and accept you into their society no matter your status or religion. However, Jehovah’s Witnesses still get persecuted there most of the time.

I watched an American movie about the Second World War and at the end of the movie, some statistics were listed based on the number of people who were killed by Hitler’s Soldiers. Apart from the Jews, the homosexuals, and blacks, I was surprised to see Jehovah’s Witnesses listed among them too.

2. DONATIONS ARE VOLUNTARY

Unlike in other Christian churches where people are forced or even threatened to make donations, donations in Kingdom Halls of the Jehovah’s Witnesses are quite voluntary. When you walk into one of their Halls, you will see a box right at the entrance calling you to make voluntary donations.

In other churches, publications are not free. Pastors and General Overseers write a lot of books. Some churches even produce a lot of books for the benefit of their congregations but these books are not free. This is different with Jehovah’s Witnesses.

In each Kingdom Hall, at least the ones I have been to, there is a special place where lots of books and publications are arranged. You can pick any book depending on the language you want for free.

You might have seen them giving out books on the streets and they would never ask you to buy them. They would instead ask you to make voluntary donations. Even if you don’t have money, you can go ahead and pick. They are more interested in making sure you gain the knowledge of God’s word.

3. MEMBERS AND SOCIAL MEDIA

Do you know a Jehovah’s Witness who doesn’t ‘preach’ on social media? When Jesus was leaving the earth, he asked his disciples to go all over the world and preach the gospel.

Thankfully, we are in the jet age where you can share information that can reach people all over the world. Unfortunately, today’s Christians rarely make use of this opportunity to preach the gospel.

There are lots of Christians who have huge followers on different social media platforms but unless they are pastors, you would rarely see them post anything related to the gospel on their accounts. Instead of sermons you will see them posting their beautiful pictures.

Jehovah’s Witnesses’ members post different topics on Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, Pinterest, and so on. Whatever they learn in their Kingdom Halls or conventions, they make sure they share them online.

Other Christians prefer to share nonsensical topics and topics that won’t touch your life positively in anyway. They are supposed to share the sermons they learn from their different churches every Sunday but they would rather share posts concerning Big Brother Nigeria or other nonsense.

4. EVANGELISM

This is one of the things they are known for. Apart from the social media, radio and other modes of evangelism, the Jehovah’s Witnesses preach the gospel by walking from house to house.

Despite the fact that a lot of people reject them, they still keep on. Everything in their minds is looking for one or two people whose lives they can touch positively. You see them walking in the sun, with their umbrellas and bags, with no shame. They prefer to follow God’s instructions and they do this at least twice in a week, walking long distances.

5. TESTIMONIES

Their testimonies are different from those of other Christians. While other Christians give testimonies about what God has done in their lives, most of the testimonies usually involve material things of the world. This is good but there is always something missing.

Other Christians testify about the new cars they just purchased, the new child they just had, the new house they just built and so on. The testimonies of Jehovah’s Witnesses involve turning over a new leaf, giving their lives to Jesus and becoming a model example.

They have different stories on testimonies like these. When you read about people changing and turning over a new leaf, you will be encouraged and you will want to have the same experience. In one of their publications, I read about a Japanese Kamikaze soldier who fought in World War Two and then became a Jehovah’s Witness and began to preach the gospel. I was wowed.

6. THEY ARE ORDERLY AND CALM

Have you ever walked into a Kingdom Hall? As you approach the place, you would believe they are not holding any program because you won’t hear anything. It is only when you enter into the Hall that you will realize that there is a program going on after all.

Other churches love the use of loud speakers. You could be far away and you would hear the different speakers from different churches booming and screaming. Jehovah’s Witnesses’ Kingdom Halls do not pollute the air with noises.

During their programs, they never compete for Bible reading. We all know this. In Pentecostal churches, when the pastor calls a Bible verse, you see fifty people trying to read the same verse at the same time. You would think the fastest reader would be paid for it.

The ‘winner’ is usually the fastest reader. This usually causes fracas among the readers after church services and you may sometimes see two ‘readers’ keeping malice against each other.

The reverse is the case in Kingdom Halls. When a Bible verse is called or when a question is asked, people would raise their hands in order to respond. Everything is calm and quiet. You feel peace in your heart. You forget your problems.

7. SHOW OF LOVE

Many churches in Nigeria love to welcome newcomers. Some churches serve them foods and drinks and collect their phone numbers. The choir members sing a song of welcome and then some top leaders of different groups walk over to the newcomers to shake their hands and welcome. That’s all.

At the end of the program, everyone leaves and forget the newcomer. This occurs in most churches. When a newcomer’s phone number is gotten, all the church want to do is to make sure the newcomer becomes a member and comes always.

In Kingdom Halls, this is different. After the service, almost everyone walks over to you to shake your hand and welcome you with beautiful smiles. Then they politely ask if you would want free Bible study.

There are so many other ways by which the Jehovah’s Witnesses are better Christians than the rest of us and we need to emulate these qualities. There is a very big difference if we are being sincere with ourselves.

Showing love to one another is the key to peaceful nation. Despite the number of churches in Nigeria, in different states and in different streets, corruption is still rampant. Ethnic bigotry and tribalism is till rampant. Something is wrong somewhere and it is all in our hands to change things.

Emulating the qualities of the Jehovah’s Witnesses is the key.

I agree with most of the points you raised.

But then, there is something we need to understand as Christians.
If it isnt the Bible, everything else is poison. Take it from me.

Apologies to Jehovah Witnesses reading this, but most of their doctrines are not founded in the Scripture.
For instance, they do not believe in the Rapture. Their founder predicted the end time and again, and failed, therefore he concluded that there will not be any Rapture. That has no bearing with Bible enshrinement.
Simply because the Bible says we should not be violent, they barred their member from joining the force or the country's bulwarks. They forget that David, a priest-king, fought and handled the sword himself. War situation is not the same as being unnecessarily physical. Children of Israel fought a lot of times in the Bible at Gods command.
They believe only the blood of Jesus is the only worthy blood to be infused into their bodies, and they die en masse due to this fool-hardiness. the Bible says that life is in the blood. Whatever supports life, is of God. this is a terrible misrepresentation of Scripture they are paying for and calling it persecution, or 'God's will'.

Bible tells us to rejoice ONLY when we are persecuted for standing for the truth, and not just for any other cause. Let us know the difference.

Yes, they are orderly, neat, kempt and all the writer stated. But my focus is what they preach. That is what informs my acceptance or rejection of any church.

Salvation is an all-encompassing thing There is something Bble calls 'the riches of His grace.' it touches bth your body, soul and your spirit. Its just that modern-day Pentecostal churches dwell more on physical prosperity.

Zhuhilat:
How Do I Deal With This Level Of Disrespect From My Husband

Dear all

I and my husband are just 2years in marriage.

Every time we have issues concerning anything, he is always telling me to pack my things and leave his house or he will say things like you are off no importance to me and you bring me no value and stuff and stuff. But after a while he will apologize and say he doesn’t mean it.

Last month, what caused our fight was because my mum sent some food stuffs to us because she traveled and got them cheaply. He was angry because he felt that was disrespectful. And the argument degenerated to him telling me to leave his house,

i got tired, called his bluff and left the house but everyone advised me to go back and make it work., well except my dad. Mind you, this was the 5th time.

On my return, we talked about it(like we always do) and i thought it was genuine, and i said i was going to give it one more try.

Today, we had an argument because of baby food. I told hime to buy on his way back. I couldn’t go out because the whole road was terribly flooded .

But he didn't buy it, and that lead to an argument. And the next thing he told me was to fuc.k off and leave. Or he is leaving. As a matter of fact, he just left the house now 12:00am.

I am actually tired of it all. and right now, i don't think i have any love left for him or this marriage.
I think he is cheating on me and for some reason i am beginning to look outside and crave attention, love and respect from someone else.

I don't want my child to grow up seeing me treated like this but most importantly , i don't want her to think it is okay to accept being disrespected and under valued like this.

Married people is this one of the challenges in marriage or what?

Why cant we have an argument that doesn’t lead to leave my house, i dont need you, you bring me no value and all

Also we are very very comfortable, i work and he works too.

Emotionally, i am done.
If this marriage will work, it's on both your laps. If it doesn't, it's still on you two.
Nothing here is capable of this magnitude of a fight, unless there is more to it than meets the eye.

For me, I would have loved a balanced view of things. No man is mad enough to just say such to his wife of two years for no just cause.
And, your dad prefers you return to his house because you had a fight? That's unbecoming. Could it be that he did not approve of the union ab initio? If so, why?
And then all that talk of craving attention elsewhere. I understand your frustrations, but hmmm. It will only make matters worse.
I suspect there is a point your man is trying hard to prove, by hook or crook. Question is, what is it?
I am not excusing irresponsibility. But the onus will be on you two to sit down and iron this out yourselves.

I am not shocked at some of the comments i am reading here.
Thing is, no one can claim ignorance when the chips are down.
Before our eyes, what was abominable is now embraced with both arms in the name of inclusiveness and 'love'.
As a Christian, every love practiced outside of Bible dictates annoys God, no matter your good intentions.
It was predicted, so it does not shock me one bit.

The thing you need to understand is that sex and sexual perversion was what started the fall of man, and is at the root of almost every crime committed. why do you think God instructed man not to resist, but to FLEE fornication and youthful lusts? The Bible knows exactly what it is saying.

Evil is evil. the degree does not matter to God. By the way, our bodies are the temple of the living God. I cant imagine you defecating in your living room in your right senses.
That God gave man free will does not give him absolute freedom. What you do with your free will has consequences.

Get close to God.
When the Bible says favour is not for the skilled, it is a time tested assertion tried in the fire seven times.
Children of God are not lazy, yet they do not scrape and scruff before they eat.
I mean real children of God, not the ones that keep girlfriends for hayrolls.
study Gods word ans be friends with Him. ask Him His will for you and follow it religiously.

Controversial, Nigerian OAP and leader of the Free the Sheeple movement, Daddy Freeze, who has made it his duty to always have a say in any trending issues has again weighed in on the online debate concerning the Nigerian man that ordered Nobel laureate, Wole Soyinka, out of his seat onboard a flight yesterday, Sunday, June 23.

The quite outspoken Cool FM big boy wrote an open letter to politician/Businessman, Tonye Cole who shared the story online.
Through the note he wrote, Freeze wondered what the respect Nigerians have so far given to their elders has done for us as a nation.

In his post, Freeze stressed that the young man had the courage to demand for his right but Soyinka has over the years failed to demand for the rights of Nigerians from its leaders.

He wrote:

You respect someone because respect is in you, not because of what you will get or what it has done for you. Thats for starters.
I probably wouldnt ask him to leave the seat, but i would point out that he was in my space if i were in the young man's shoes. That is not disrespect.
I would not call the young man disrespectful in any way.
Car Talk › Re: Kojo Motors Unveils 14-meter Yutong Bus With Benz Powertrain (pix) by poik(m): 3:34pm On Jun 25, 2019
AutoJoshNG:
History was made last week Thursday in Lagos, Nigeria.

This happened when Kojo Motors Nigeria Limited in collaboration with leading bus manufacturer, Zhengzhou Yutong Bus Company of China, launched for the first time in any part of the world the first ever 14-meter Yutong coach.

The coach – Yutong T139HDH – was officially unveiled at a grand world launch ceremony at the prestigious Civic Center, Victoria Island, Lagos.

https://e9r8e7v9.stackpathcdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Kojo-Motors-Yutong-62.jpg?x66560

The resplendent Yutong T139HDH bus – with a capacity for up to 63 passengers – features the Mercedes Benz (OM 457LA) engine, Mercedes Benz AMT Gearbox, Germany Sachs Clutch, Germany ZF Automatic Steering Axle, Air Bag Suspension System, etc.

According to Chinedu Oguegbu, Executive Director of Kojo Motors Limited, the bus features in-built DVR cameras for monitoring, onboard WiFi to ensure passengers remain connected and video-on-demand to also keep passengers entertained.

Some other features of the Yutong T139HDH include:

. Liquid crystal dashboard.
. 3 times brighter automatic headlights that come on immediately it gets dark.
. Electrical controlled passenger curtain.
. USB ports for passengers
. Electrical controlled driver’s window and rear mirror.
. Automatic windshield wiper.
. 7 colorful interior ambient lights as seen in the pictures below.
. AUS which prevents the bus from moving when passengers are getting in and out.
. EBD (Electronic Braking Device)
. ESP (Electronic Stability Program) and many more.

The launch ceremony had in attendance several dignitaries that included the Chief Executive Officer of Kojo Motors, Chief Ikenna Oguegbu; the Deputy Corp Commandant of the FRSC, C. Z. Matthew, Managing Director of Primero Transport Service, Fola Tinubu, representatives from National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) and Mr. Luqman Mamudu of Transtech Industrial Consulting Limited.

Representatives of several bus fleet operating companies across the country were also in attendance.

The event also featured the presentations of awards to some outstanding customers of Kojo Motors that patronize the Yutong bus brand.

The Yutong brand of buses is manufactured by Zhengzhou Yutong Bus Company of China. The company has 80% share of the bus market in China. It also has a Global market share of 15%.

Yutong has been the world’s largest bus maker for seven consecutive years. 70,000 units of their buses were sold in 2016 while the German company which is the second largest bus manufacturer in the world sold 20,000 units in the same period.

According to Robben Xiong, Yutong’s Head International Business, Africa, the Yutong T139HDH bus was produced to withstand rough driving terrains and were subjected to rough tests.

Also speaking at the event, Ejiro Omoefe of Stanbic IBTC Vehicle Asset Financing department, testified to the durability of the Yutong bus brand. He also revealed that Stanbic IBTC offers vehicle leasing services for the acquisition of Yutong brand of buses.

Yutong buses are assembled in Nigeria by Kojo Motors Limited. They offer 150,000 kilometer or 2 years warranty on each bus. Obviously, Kojo Motors and Yutong have a lot of confidence in their buses after subjecting them to extensive rough road tests across Nigeria.

My story is brief.

I am married to my wife & we're blessed with 3 kids,
..My wife starves me of sex over minor issues, even when we've settled by my apologies & me assisting remarkably well in house chores.
There was a period 2 years back she starved me of sex for 4 months because of one little misunderstanding we had back then which was unbearable for me & made me to cheat on her,..And my relationship lasted for more than a year with that lady.

Right now she (my wife) has started again with same attitude, its going to a month now. I am confused because I don't want to cheat on her again. What do i do? Should i keep facing such punishment? For how long? Or, should i file for a divorce? Don't you think such attitude will have reoccurrences in time coming?. It is disturbing me badly because I find it difficult to be sleeping alone at nite without her by my side. I have begged & begged her to let whatever anger towards me that is deposited in her to just die off, yet to no avail. The funny thing is, we'll discuss and play very well before going to bed but, whenever I start making advances towards her, she shows up a different attitude.

I am confused!! It is really really disturbing me. How & where did I go wrong?.

Pls, matured advices only, you can insult me too, of course its Nairaland but, I need serious advice, I am very worried.
Thanks.

Very faulty logic. Predicated though on the unfortunate lavishness that has come to characterize the church. But ordinarily, th church is a human organization and will be run in a human way. God does not spend money.
I think that the people whom God really blesses on account of their financial contribution to the church should speak up more, to silence thought processes like this. There are times when silence is not profitable. it makes God look like a scam, which is far from it.
