SARS are not some occupying force, gods or angel of justice.
They are criminals looking for their own cut.
It will have been a different case if SARS charge Yahoo boys to court.
But they never do it because they are partners.


No foreign website collects money from Yahoo boy and let them operate freely after.
That is exactly what the robbery gang of SARS do.
In fact, a Yahoo boy has more right than non-criminals because they don't argue, they settle.
Anyone who uses fake identities are also criminals.
Every criminal has an excuse for acting the way they do.

In as much as I am against Yahoo boys, it is not SARSjob to harass random people and go through their phone and social media accounts.
You need warrant to check someone's phone.

It would have been better if these criminals only search phones but their main aim is to
rob their victims under the threat of gun.
Merely having 3 different banking apps may lead to threats and extortion.

If they check this man's account, they would likely find millions in proceed of crimes

Two kids in my area. One just finished writing ssce, bought two iPhone max for himself and his brother. He bought it and paid for it in naira. You could imagine how much he has. The other one is even their master, around the same age and police are already chasing him up and down

I expected something more higher like increasing welfare and special salary on the unit while putting qualification as at least a degree holder of not less than second class lower with certification in security or any related training from a notable firm..


Upon admitted must be trained specially for at least 7 months on special operations....

While properly redeploying the current SARS officers back to unit or giving them out to banks or firms as securities. That way they can be smoothly eased out of random police operations.

I'm neither for nor against this EndSars campaign. But the emboldened is false.

Yes, there are people with bad motives in this EndSars campaign but the fact remains that Nigerian Police as a whole needs a big reform.

A reform so big that it would look like a new NPF was created. A complete rebranding.

We're talking of an agency that has been on auto-pilot for 60 years. No checks, no balances no probings. Just new vehicles and uniforms.

In fact, it starts from the federal government. They should improve these officers' renumeration, facilities, allowances and pension. Then we'll know that any officer that asks for or takes bribe is only being greedy. But subjecting people to barbaric working conditions and expecting them not to seek alternatives is sheer trumpery.

What I want is for the biased officers among SARS to face serious repercussions for their crimes, not stopping them outrightly. These same armed robbers and fraudsters are the one supporting the outright ban of Special Anti Roberry Squad, and not serious punishment that will deter other officers from doing the same. (The same fraudsters that will resort to stealing and armed robbery if their maga refused to pay anymore, they will resort to crime to keep up with their flashy lifestyle). For every 10 good arrest of robbers and criminals that we see on Nairaland everyday , there must be one killing of innocent people by the bad eggs among them. Cutting off the head is not the solution to headache.
If SPECIAL ANTI ROBBERY SQUAD is banned instead of serious punishment for the bad officers involved, Nigerians should get ready for the aftermath, I am only sorry for the good and innocent people that will be affected, many that will be robbed, raped, beaten and stabbed and they look back and regret the day they support END Special ANTI ROBBERY SQUAD in Nigeria!

The fact is,over 80% of the entire Nigerian Police Force needs reform as these officers are mostly illiterate,primitive and just high on entitlement mentality.
In saner climes,police officers are well trained and educated not just in collecting #50 from motorists but also in how to relate and handle civilians.
These guys seem to be aware that the reason for their existence,the sole purpose they exist is to serve and protect these same people they extort,kill and threaten to shoot with 29 bullets.
Are they even aware their salaries and bullets are provided by these same people..

A responsible police force can function to put an end to Yahoo boys without itself being a nuisance.
Things must be done in a civilised manner. In the modern world fraudsters are not detected by randomly harrasing every young man found with a mobile phone.
Here, SARS abandoned the real task of fighting crime and ended up being Robbers themselves. That is the SARS that must be ended.

I only pity the innocent ones joining this protest cos they found others doing it. As we know, Nigeria is a country where many do things because they want to be a part of the trend.

So many are on this forum praising the protesters and even encouraging people to kill SARS while they themselves are at home hiding.

Of all the things bedeviling this country, why should #endsars be of high priority if not that some professional fraudsters are behind this?

Because of these professional fraudsters, many of the opportunities to be enjoyed by some of us who wants to earn legitimate income online have been lost. You want to apply for a job online and you find out that you can't do this just because you are Nigerian. If you have had this experience before and you are joining the yahoo boys to call for SARS to be eradicated, you need a brain check.

Thank u o. I was denied an offer from an Australian firm immediately they noticed I am from Nigeria and live in Nigeria. In fact, Nigerians have to use ip changer to access many legitimate web offers due to our brothers and sisters who have used fraud to finish us. While I support sars reform, the govt should come down so hard on fraudsters. They are the reason even Visa to other countries are harder for Nigerians. Some of them will quote me now.

Some of them even advertise tools yahoo people use for sale. chaii, this country is finished.
